A cozy New Years Eve. A house burned to the ground. A mysterious death.
Kelly Bordeaux wants nothing more than to celebrate the New Year by staying in and listening to her grandmother’s stories. But their time together is interrupted by a fire at a neighboring home.
A dead man in the rubble shocks the town. When the fire turns out to be arson, Kelly is pulled into a new investigation.
Can Kelly find the killer before an innocent is framed for the murderous fire?
Another great. All Marjorie wants for New Years is quiet and being with her Grandma. Unfortunately not to be. A fire, a murder, what a way to celebrate. Can’t wait for more.
This is a fun cozy mystery. The mystery is easy to solve with all the clues dropped throughout the book. I enjoyed it and liked picking up on them, I had worked out who the killer was just before the main character did. The characters are likeable, especially Grandma Iris with her meddling and teasing ways. It is a fun series that you don't need to read in order because each book is a stand alone story. The only disappointment was that the story was short and I had reached the end before I knew it, although you could say that that is a sign of a good book if it is read all in one sitting. Kelly and her Grandma are celebrating the New Year by making resolutions, that is until they notice there neighbours house is on fire. When a body is discovered in the aftermath, Kelly can't help but question whether it was an accident, suicide or murder. A fraud investigator rules it as arson and the police focus in on a suspect. Can Kelly work out the motive behind the death and find the real killer? I was given this free review copy book at my request and have voluntarily left this review.
Kelly and her grandmother Iris are spending New Year's Eve at home drinking cider by the fire. As they were getting ready to go to bed, they noticed the house across the street was on fire. The following morning after the fire was put out, as Kelly was going out she saw a stretcher being brought out of the house. The football coach and his wife lived there and he was home when the fire started. His wife is the prime suspect, but Kelly and grandmother Iris don't believe she is guilty. They start to ask questions and try to discover the killer. A Cosy Mystery short story.
Really fun and entertaining! Grandma Iris, Kelly and Buddy the dog, make the unexpected trio that solves murders in a small town helping the police in a very good natured manner. It´s really fun to read because they get their clues mostly through gossip and - oh my - how this town gossips..... Another lovely reading in the series! I downloaded a free copy of this book as a member os the writer´s ARC team and this is my honest review.
I enjoyed all 3 books of the March Street Cozy Mysteries. As was noted, they were quick reads I appreciated that they were clean - no sex or swearing - just clean mysteries to enjoy. I would recommend these books to anyone who enjoys cozy mysteries.
I enjoyed all 3 books of the March Street Cozy Mysteries. I appreciated that the books did not have sex and swearing but were quick read mysteries.
Kelly and her Grandma Iris are at it again. When the house across the street burns down, a body is found. The town coach is dead and his wife the likely suspect. The clues? Elevated insurance policies and gossip that coach was having an affair. In order to prove the wrong person is under arrest, Kelly begins to seek out knowledgeable (small town gossips) ladies. Lively characters and a like-able small town made this cozy a pleasant, quick read.
I received a free advance review copy of this book and am voluntarily providing my honest review. I really like these March Street short stories. They are just the thing to relax with for an hour or so. Grandma Iris is quite the feisty lady and Kelly has to rein her in sometimes, but the two of them make a good team to discover the culprit. I recommend these books.
This delightful book packs a full blown mystery into a small package! When the house across the street burns, Kelly and Grandma Iris are on the case. This fast paced cozy is filled with lively characters and the book is well written. I enjoyed this book and am looking forward to the next one. I received this book free and chose to make a voluntary, unbiased review.
Kelly and her grandmother are out to solve another murder. Only this one happened right across the street to them! Buddy, the bulldog, Kelly, and grandma are bound and determined to find out why this man was killed. The answer may surprise you! Another wonderful story in this series of March Street Cozy Mysteries. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.
A good story about a small town “sleuth”. I really enjoy the interaction between the people of the town and the unique individuality of them. Although death is involved it’s not gore and gruesome to read.
March Street Malaice is an enjoyable cozy mystery. Estelle Richards writes wonderful mysteries. Ms Richards characters are well written and believable. The pace is just right. With Kelly and her grandma Iris on the case, the murderer doesn’t stand s Chance. I received an arc for my honest review.
I love these short stories. Once again Kelly & her Grandma Iris save an innocent person from jail. Arson is an ugly crime on its own, let alone killing someone. I love the idea of the bulldog in his jumper/sweater.
This was afun to read story that moved right along .The high school football coach was found dead after a fire in his home Was it an accident or murder? ? Some twists and turns in the plot but also clues dropped here and there.
March Street Malice is the third book in the March Street Cozy Mysteries.
This is a short but fun cozy mystery. Kelly brings in the New Year by having to solve an arson/murder instead of enjoying her grandmother's stories. I read and reviewed this book with no obligation.
The third book in the series that I've read and enjoyed. If I'm honest I though this was the best book so far in the series. Look forward to the next one and will actually try others by the sAme author.
This is a good mystery and interesting plot. I enjoyed reading it, not only because it was a good short read, but because it wasn't complicated with a romantic interest. Sometimes that makes the story more interesting, but sometimes it distracts from the storyline.
This the third installment in The March Street series is so good! Kelly tackles a death as a result of a fire in her neighborhood. Twists, turns and surprises don't stop her from trying to solve the mystery.
