This book is based on an episode (or part of an episode) from Season 2 of the PJ Masks TV programme.

As such it gets right into the story from the off and assumes that you already know the characters. Plus it has a fast story that I lost track of not being familiar with the episode. The connections are not all spelled out.

The story sees Romeo, the bad guy, invent a cute robot that he wants the PJ Masks to adopt so that he can use the robot to cause problems for them. However things backfire at the end as the robot becomes a member of the PJ team. "PJ Masks all shout hooray, 'cause in the night, we saved the day!"

So this book would suit fans of the TV show that have preferably seen this episode.

The story seems to be a PJ show condensed into a book. It is difficult to keep the attention of children while reading this somewhat uninteresting story.

Romeo's plans backfire once again when his ploy to use a "nice" robot as a trojan horse for the PJ Masks turns into giving them another teammate and ally to help stop his plans for good. For all his brains, his inventions never seem to work exactly as planned.

Cute book based on the show. This was actually an adorable story. I'm not a huge fan of PJ Masks, but work with some kids who enjoy the characters so I picked this up at the library.

The story is instantly engaging and PJ Robot is so cute, you can't help but root for him to pick the right side.

Illustrations appear to be taken from the show. Some are a bit dark since it's set at night, but overall they are good.

A nice story about making new friends and outsmarting villains.
