Pieces of Ink
Poetry has the power of conveying raw sensations to the reader, and in the case of “PIECES OF INK”, Catarina Bernardo offers us a very intimate look inside the all the angst and tribulations of growing up, the feeling of childhood freedoms and sense of purity slipping away without any warning, and the intense and raw emotions of young love, in which the love of young people, embodies many elements of innocence, naivety, secrecy, and intense overwhelming emotions.

Not many poetry books have touched me like this one. Pieces of Ink took me back to my tennage years, made me remember how hard it was to feel the childhood memory sliping through my fingers and having no way to bring it nack. This book stole my tears and my heart. I bought it because I like to encourage young writers, specially in poetry because it’s a writing style that deserves so much more, and Catarina Bernardo is more, she’s exacly what we need in this generation where no one falls for the simple that briliant power of words and rhymes, she is the future of poetry and no one can tell me otherwise. I will be waiting for the next book, hoping there will be one, rereading this pages paciently.

Desde poemas que me lembram a infância, a outros que me fizeram chorar e ainda outros que me deixaram a refletir. Recomendo a todos a leitura.
