Spy-in-hiding, Charlie Mission has gotten herself a boyfriend and that’s the least of her many problems. Life at the Gossip Inn is anything but simple, what with her grandmother’s Kitten Foster Care Center, the ever-annoying Jessie Belle-Blue always trying to throw a spanner in the works, and now… a ghost haunting the inn?
Not that Charlie believes in that type of thing. She’s positive the nightly hauntings have a sinister cause—namely her ex-husband and rogue spy, come to find her and punish her for outing him. Before Charlie can properly investigate the mystery haunting, however, a local entrepreneur drops dead right after claiming to have seen the ghost.
Charlie and Gamma are sure that the killer must be their common enemy… but can they solve the murder before he strikes again?

One of my favorite series! This was the best one yet! There were several red herrings. The sub-plots blended nicely into the main one. I really enjoy reading about Gamma’s exploits (since I am of a certain age also🤣). Charlie’s thought process is quite interesting. She always tries to see both sides of a situation. If you enjoy clean mysteries with no violence, etc., small towns, spy elements and a little romance, then you need to read this series (I’d start with #1 to get the full background of Charlie’s situation).
Charlie and Gammy Georgina are at it again. A ghost sighting at the inn by a guest makes Charlie feel like Kyle may be closing in on her, that is until the guest ends up dead by a dart gun. Between murder and missing kittens and cats, they have their hands full with what is in front of them as well as what is behind them.

Humorous cozy, no gore or sex Undercover spy Charlie Mission is still at the inn with her grandmother, hiding from an ex out to kill her for turning him in. Startled by a scream she runs out into the hall to see a ghost ranting about a ghost. When the guest is killed the next day, she and her retired spy grandmother, set out to find out why. The ante is upped when cats start disappearing, along with their own rescued kittens. They find their answers and their man, with Charlie being confronted by the killer. Ms. Point creates a cozy atmosphere for the hiding spy, complete with an amorous interest. I received an ARC to peruse gratis and offer my opinion the same.
The murder was hum-drum and of little importance to the story and the sub-plot of the missing cats feels like it insults the intelligence of the reader.
I am left to wonder how many people there are in Gossip willing to pay big bucks for cats? especially, from an unknown seller. I am pretty sure anything else would have been more financially viable.
The legality of selling and buying land is nothing like how it was portrayed in this book and it was so stupid that it was aggravating
The only thing I liked about this book was that they finally addressed the fact that Charlie, despite being 'top of her class' is a really bad spy. I feel like if I read 'the most decorated agent in the NSIB history' again I might pull out hair.
Charlie Mission is a spy in hiding from her ex-husband. Although she tries to stay out of the limelight Charlie always seems to find herself in the midst of investigating murders. When cats begin going missing from local pet rescues no one thinks to connect it to the recent murder of a local businessman. But a small clue leads Charlie and her grandmother looking in that direction. A haunting at the Inn might connect the two crimes as well. The pair is working hard to solve the murder before someone else dies. This is the fourth book in the Mission Inn-possible Cozy Mystery series. This book could stand alone. I somehow missed reading the third book and although I personally feel like I missed out on not reading the book, it did not affect the story in any way. The characters in the book are well-developed. Every time I read one of the books I picture the setting a little bit differently. In my mind Gossip is a western town surrounded by dirt and undeveloped land. The plot moves at a steady pace. I enjoyed the book and recommend it.
I received this book in exchange for my honest opinion.
Charlie has only been in Gossip for a bit more than half a year. To her great surprise, she has found herself enjoying her life and time there.
When a “ghost” is sighted at the inn, she feels her ex Kyle might have found her
Is her time in Gossip drawing to an end?
Gamma might be the most decorated agent the NSIB ever had, but Charlie finds she doesn’t have the same still sharp skill set as Gamma
Together the duo work to solve a murder, rescue kitties in more ways than one, and do some mundane living as family, as well as some sleuthing and crime solving
Lufe in Gossip might be picking basil and tomatoes, but it might be just the thing Charlie needs most- for now

The Gossip Inn is suspected of having a ghost and Charlie and Gamma are out to find out who it is and why. How is the ghost getting in and where it is hiding? When a guest see the ghost one night, he is murdered the next at the drive-in movies. Charlie and Gamma must discover who the murderer is before things deteriorate. In the meantime, kitties are getting stolen and Belle-Blue and Gamma are at it again. The relationship between Smulder and Charlie are at a turning point. Will their relationship continue to grow or is it the end? This was a nice read and look forward to the next book in the series.
It was definitely time to go pay a visit to Gossip, TX and the inn Charlie works at for her Gamma aka Georgina. She's always on high alert about her ex, a rogue agent coming to kill her, but she ended up with more on her plate that was pressing like guests seeing a ghost at the inn and a local murder she had to be careful she didn't get involved in as far as press went.
In another good surprise ending, I hadn't figured out whodunit. It was an awesome and quick showdown showing just what a great agent Georgina still was. By now it sure seems like Charlie's lovin' life in Gossip, a far cry from when she first arrived! I'm really anxious to move on to the next book.
This was such a great book. It kept me in suspense all the way through. There was a murder at the Gossip Inn and Charlie as well as her grandmother where determined to find the killer. There was a lot of speculation as to who the suspect was however, the suspect was someone that you would not suspect. Was it a ghost who haunts the inn or is it an actual person?

The author has returned us to the town of Gossip so we can visit with our friends. Charlotte and Georgina are in a quandary when someone starts stealing the kittens in town. Of course, their attention is divided between the catnappings and the murder of one of their guests. Brian is trying to keep them safe and does not always agree with their plans.

In this latest book in the series, Charlie & Gamma are investigating a murder, a ghost in the Inn and kitty kidnappings. Mr. Shone, a guest and the new owner of the drive-in theater, sees a ghost outside Charlie's room. The following night he is killed at the theater's opening. While investigating the murder, Charlie and Gamma track down the kitty kidnappers and solve the case once again.

Charlie and Gamma track down clues to a mystery involving pet napping, murder, and a possible haunting at the Gossip Inn. I especially liked the interesting personal developments in Charlie’s life sparked by Smulder.

I must say, I really enjoy this series! The characters keep developing nicely and a few new things are added to keep the story fresh and interesting to the reader. This is a short cozy story that is worth the price of admission (or book) for you to sit back and enjoy. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book from Booksprout.
A fun, entertaining, suspenseful, cozy mystery that's a perfect read for the early fall evenings. The characters are well developed, easy to get to know and easy to love. Rosie has done another fantastic job with this one. If you're a fan of cozy mysteries, you don't want to miss this one.

Charlie and Gamma are at it again, using their spy experience and cunning to catch a killer, a ghost and a cat napper. Wonderful clean, cozy mystery that brings it all together at the end. The characters are fun and crazy. The suspense and twists are intriguing. Quite surprised who really did it all.

I absolutely loved this book! The storyline was great and the book was well written. It was about murder (of course) and catnapping. I read it in only a few hours. Love this authors cozy mystery books, can’t wait for the next Gossip Inn adventure...
This is a fun series. In this one, people see “ghosts” and Charlie and her grandmother are looking for secret passages in the inn. They are also trying to figure out who killed the new owner of the drive in theater and who is stealing cats around town, including Charlie’s favorite.
Although I enjoyed the mystery, it wasn’t as compelling as some of the other mysteries in this series.
Very cute cozy series where the grandmother is a former notorious spy who owns an inn/kitten rescue, and her granddaughter is hiding out there hoping her ex never finds her. It's got all the feels I hope for in any cozy series. The characters are fun and I'm enjoying this series very much. Happy Reading!
This was a fun cozy mystery. The characters were great.. the storyline was amazing! I had the wrong suspect picked out but was glad of the ending! Rosie is an amazing author! Would highly recommend this book!
Another great read. The book is well written and keeps you entertained. Love the characters and setting and always fun. Can't wait for the next book in the series.

Charlie is back with her grandma, her spy partner/love interest and an inn full of guests and cats. Murder happens, catnapping happens and it’s up to Charlie and Gamma to solve it all.
Fourth in a series of cozy mysteries. A spy has to hide with her grandmother, a retired spy, in a small town. They work together to solve quiet mysteries. Quick, easy reads to relax with. Good characters and nice stories.
This series has some really interesting moments--secret passage ways, kittens that come and go through doors, ghosts! Yet, all explained and a mystery solved, too! 😉
Enjoyable well written cozy mystery. Great characters, beautiful setting. Love the cat sanctuary and the mysteriousness of the inns history. Can't wait to see what happens next.
