This could have been great, but…

This story deserved to be hashed out more. The premise is awesome, but it went too fast. There was a lot of telling versus showing. The lack of character and plot develop really did this storyline a disservice. I hope that there is a rewrite because this author knows how to write strong characters, and even better, strong female leads. Plus, I’m sucker for any romance novel with a body count and hot sex scenes. I truly hope she gives this book a whirl again and allow herself time to really flesh this story out. It will be a 5 star plus some if she did.

I am a super fan of this author, every books she creates makes me feel all warm inside and this one is no different 🙂.

Her style and flow gives the illusion that you are in the mind of the characters, that you can feel their joy, fear, insanity, lust & happiness 😊.

I swear it really is an out of body experience 🙂.

But now I’d like to take a detour. This author is one of the Best when it comes to dark or erotica stories. There is a lot that goes into those genres to make them believable and she does it well.

I see reviews about this kind of fiction that swear this or that is unbelievable when in actuality it’s very real. There are a whole host of acts being perpetrated on people and they still stay in the relationship, love, lust and loyalty are funny like that 😏.

So when it’s time for your review, consider that these behaviors exist and because you haven’t heard of them shouldn’t warrant a bad review.

Again, it’s fiction.

Read it too many times. I will not expose myself lol. I'm in love with the man and that says a lot about me. I don't need to repeat myself, this author gets in my head and understands my twisted wants. I need more S.Davis because I've read all you have. Please and thank you

Mmm mmm Good

So I'm was up at 4:30 in the morning, thinking I need some erotica in my life. I swiped my Kindle and starting searching and to utter surprise Ms. Davis had a new release. Well first I pissed off cuz I don't know she had a new release and I'm following her. Kindle be wrong some times cuz this is the second time I wasn't notified about a writer's new release. Anyway... Ok to the review. I loved it!!! As usual. A sexy twist on Beauty & The Beast as only Davis can do it. Girl you can write your booty off. The sex was fiyah and I liked the chemistry between Bella and Biast. But I dont know Shantel. It was kinda a love story at the conclusion. Biast said it himself he could be the Prince Charming Bella needed and they would live happily ever after. 😃 Loved it hunny. I mean I didn't have to read the synopsis or the reviews. I just clicked to read. Yeah I did at 4:30 am. I'm ready for the next one Ms. Davis
Not a love story? But definitely a f*ucking story. No one does it better than you. Thank you!

Beauty and a true beast

This is my 3rd book from this author, I didn’t care miss for the ending. I think Bella forgave too quickly. She should have made him gravel for a while. But then again, I’m not the author. I feel like the ending was rushed. Thai story had so much potential, but fell short at the end for me.
Will continue to read her stories. She’s really great at what she does.

Wow!

Ms. Davis is becoming one of my favorite authors. This is a very twisted retelling of beauty and the beast. Which may not be everyone's cup of tea. Bella did not stand a chance against Baist.

You Beast, You!!!

Oh, how wish that this story was longer! I have quickly become a fan of anything Shantel Davis because everything she writes is just that good! Biast and Bella's modern-day spin on the classic fairy tale was excellent! Are there anymore waiting to be told?

Just tantalizing

The stories from this author just keep on getting better. I am so ready for anything she writes. Seriously, I’m a fan for life. Just amazingly well written stories and those alpha men she writes about, WOWZA!

Happy reading and wine drinking

It wasn’t enough!

I need more! I need more! Boast is Alpha of all Alphas. Bella was his Achilles Heel! His love was possessive, drown, overwhelming and I’m here for it! Please let there be something else epilogue, something more of Beast and Bella!

Not love. Not even lust. Just revenge f*cking the daughter for crimes committed by the parents. Then getting attached to her.

The author meant what she said when she called this "a f*cking story". This was delicious smut-on-smut-on-smut with a dominant cherry on top.

Yummy smut aside, I wasn’t totally following the story. Biast and Bella’s connection wasn’t fleshed out enough for me. It would have been nice to have known more about the past Biast and Bella’s mother shared; were they lovers, in love, etc?

Insta-love is definitely a thing so there’s no point in whining about that. Biast’s feelings for Bella were quick and strong. Maybe even obsessive? But that’s a thing too and I kind of like it, so…🤷🏾‍♀️

There were some editing issues. They made me cringe but (in this world of self/independent publishing) I’m learning to move past them; I don’t want to miss out on a good story. I will continue pointing them out because not everyone can see past the flaws. It would absolutely suck for authors to lose readers behind those flaws. Just doing my due diligence as a reader and smut consumer!😉

It was a bit rocky but I did enjoy the story. I bet this could have been an even wilder, more enjoyable ride if it were a longer piece. This was my introduction to Shantel Davis’ writing and I see more of this author’s work in my tbr future.

What?????

Yeah so this seemed wayyy to unbelievable. Where I get Biast perspective because hes a guy, they move faster at times and his past obsession. But the involvement with Bella's mom, Bella's attraction, "draw" etc...not at all believable. Hot sex, but sex that still made no sense related to an unbelievable storyline at such a rapid pace. The book was too short as well. I am not the biggest fan of these really short books that skip so much background info to help you understand as well as these fast paced "connections" that dont make sense.

Ms. Davis created a dark version of Beauty and the beast. Typically, I'm a serious fan of her works. I love the twists and turns. I don't even mind the errors because her stories are so out there. However, I'm still scratching my head on this one. There are a lot of things that I understood. Biast had been watching Bella. He set everything in place so that the situation unfolded so that he would get her. Where I'm confused is, did Biast have a relationship with Bella's mother? Biast's father told him in several instances that "she was not his Rose." I waited for that to be revealed or denied but I didn't get it. That leads me to my next question, why did he want Bella? Did she give him a look when he first so her? Did she smell a certain way that he couldn't resist? What was it? Again, I waited but it didn't come forward and say here's your answer. Next to last, Bella continued to say that Biast was not a beast despite his accident, and ironically, his demeanor was not that dark. He was rude and did some pretty unforgivable things to Bella. But I still would not call him a beast.
Overall, the twists were delivered like always. Except for this time, I either missed them or they were not there. I will probably have to read this again to see if I find what I think I might have missed or if I need to email Ms. Davis and encourage her to add more.
I encourage you to read it. See if I just missed something and let me know. I love to discuss the books that I read with other reading fanatics. Leave a review. It helps make the authors we love that much better.

Happy Reading!

Hmmmm (Spoiler Alert)

I know a man like this who is coincidentally Dominican and had a lot of similarities... I ran like hell... and I was waiting for her to too... I love the writing, but I wish one of the female leads would STAND UP... lol... take the baby and dip if it comes to it... give it a little twist and run away with one of the men.... or women on staff and have a happily every after with that angry man wishing he'd done better.... he violates her with a whole bunch of men watching, and she comes back to check on him after he threatened her with death... I wanted a little more fight.

I enjoyed this, but if I am honest, Biast was completely irredeemable; I just didn't dislike him enough to stop reading. I mean, he gets worse and worse in such a short space of time; he's certifiable, but that's how I like them, I guess. I need a HEA when it comes to my dark romances, but was this really a HEA for Bella?

Great Read

Shangri is fast becoming a favorite of mine and this newest book did not disappoint. The only reason it's not 5 stars is the editing. But nothing too extreme that I didn't love reading the book

WILD Biast!

This book was raw and uncut (minus the typos)! I loved the entire set up and the character development of Biast and Bella. However, it would have been nice if the ending wasn’t rushed. Glad that I read this book, but hated that it was kinda on the short side.

Sue Me but I like books like this

The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is because I wish it was longer but all in all I like this story

Bella has a Beast

The Beast is dangerous, and he wants Bella. Bella was his destiny so he believes. So much happens in Bella life especially with her father she was not sure.

I love that Bella was level-headed and it evened out how intense Biast was. This was a fairly quick and enjoyable read. The conclusion felt rushed but overall, it was good.
