Needs an editor

I sought this book out as a potential resource for clients, however, really struggled to take it serious due to the gradually worsening grammar and wording as my reading continued. I’m not a stickler for this typically, but at times I felt like I was reading broken English or an instruction manual translated multiple times. Some of the writing is also very generalizing. I think it’s worth a glimpse as a free kindle unlimited book to help someone familiarize themselves with concepts of narcissism and codependency, and to offer some immediate validation, but my confidence in the writing gradually dissipated with what appeared to be a work hastily compiled.

This is the first book I have listened to about this topic and for someone who has some knowledge, but not well read on the topic, I enjoyed this. It was really good. It gave me some insight to my personal experiences.

This was eye opening and felt deeply personal.

Content is okay- read this for informational purposes under a discounted kindle unlimited period.
Does have helpful information for identifying and putting a name to behaviors but grammar and lack of proper editing is actually distracting from the content. Hard to take seriously as a resource when so much of it feels like a psychology class paper being thrown together an hour before it’s due.

A deeper understanding

While the book does give a deeper understanding the psychology of a manipulator. anyone can use the tips either break free of a toxic relationship or improve themselves. Chapter 11 gave me new life. A new perspective.

Not a great resource

Poorly written. Very repetitive. There's a lot better resources about narcissism for free. Don't waste your money on this book.

Amazing read

Really helped me identify the areas I need to work on. Opened my eyes to signs I had not even been aware of. Helped me wake up finally and really start to heal!

Some ok information, but a lot of it you can find freely on the internet elsewhere. A lot of it was poorly written and very repetitive. I got about 20% into it, started speed reading it, and then skipped to the end.
