Afflicted with Desire is the third book in the Royal Bastards MC series: New Orleans Chapter written by author Crimson Syn. The Royal Bastards MC (RBMC) is a series written by a collection of amazing authors. Each author tells a particular RBMC chapter’s story, which is located in different cities. While it’s not necessary to read all of the books within the RBMC world, I recommend reading the New Orleans Chapter books from the beginning. However, know that it’s only a suggestion.
Afflicted with Desire tells Julian, aka “Scorn,” and Kristin Youngblood’s story. I was first introduced to Scorn in Jameson’s story, Inked in Vengeance, the first book in this New Orleans series. Scorn has been on the run for roughly ten years due to an incident that happened to Jameson, Ian, and Scorn. I loved reading Jameson’s story, and I recently finished Ian’s story, Ridin’ for Hell, the third book in the Tonopah, NV series by Nikki Landis. So, when I heard that Crimson was releasing Scorn’s story, I was so excited.
After ten years, Scorn is finally back home in New Orleans and protecting Kristin from an enemy MC. He soon finds out that Kristin is not only the daughter of a businessman but someone associated with his family. She’s someone that he shouldn’t want, but their chemistry is through the roof!
Afflicted with Desire is filled with action, heartbreak, revenge, and blazing hot sex scenes. It’s a definite add to your TBR list for all those that love strong, dirty-talking, alpha biker!

Afflicted wit Desire is the 3rd book in the New Orleans National Chapter RBMC series by Crimson Syn. It is a standalone, but best enjoyed after the first two books in the series. Julian Scorn has spent the last 10 years running from his past and his commitments, but time may have just run out. When he gets called back to New Orleans, he’s going to have to confront his mother, his daughter, and the woman who may just tie him there forever.
This is a pretty decent read if you’e into the RBMC world. Lots of action and twists and turns. Instalust turned love with his daughter’s sexy, young teacher, Kristen Youngblood. Looking forward to the next book in the series!

This is Julian Scorn and school teacher Kristin Youngblood’s story line. AFFLICTED WITH DESIRE can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Jameson, Pres. of the RBMC: New Orleans called Scorn back as he is needed, Scorn has no idea that his mother is ill . Scorn turned his back on his club and went nomad for 10 years after returning home and finding his wife in bed with the enemy a member from the Bloody Scorpions, outraged he killed her lover and took his infant daughter to his mother asking her to take care of his baby and to notify Jameson. When he learned that his wife was stabbed and left for dead outside his home, he was blamed until Jameson stepped in and cleared his name. With the help from other charter clubs, Scorn has drifted from club to club trying to forget the past taking jobs as a bounty hunter. Now Jameson, Pres. of the RBMC: New Orleans calls out to him and informs him he needs to return home from helping a brother at the Tampa Charter as he has over stayed his welcome, Scorn has no idea that his mother is ill. This story has so much emotion, drama, violence and over the top steamy moments. I’ll start by saying how much of a fan of Ms. Syn’s work that I am. I truly think I’ve read everything she's written and her books just keep getting better and better. As for Afflicted with Desire, Holy Moly what a ride. The author has given us a well written storyline that held me captive from start to finish. The characters were spot on and perfect for one another, even if they didn’t realize it.
Julian was blamed for a murder he didn’t do. Having to hide out he leaves his infant daughter to be raised by his mother. While his name was cleared, his nomad life continued. But when his
Prez needs him and calls him home, his life takes on a whole new set of twists. From meeting his young daughter, who he learns is deaf to being given the job of “babysitting” Kristin, the daughter of an influential businessman and the local teacher for disabled kids. Julian and Kristin’s relationship is full of sparks, sass, ups and downs. Both are bull-headed and set in their ways. Trust me they bump heads on a lot of things and their banter makes for a great read. But when Kristin reports a child in her class as being abused, she brings the wrath of a local gang down on her, Julian and the RBMC.
The story will break your heart a time or two and have it soaring to the heavens as well. Kudos Ms. Syn for giving us a great read and this reader can’t wait to see what happens next with the RBMC, New Orleans Chapter. I Highly Recommend all the RBMC Books, including Afflicted with Desire.

He was fine with his life the way it was now. He left NOLA to escape the pain and trouble he found himself in ten years ago. Even though he left part of his heart behind, he knew that his little girl was better off without him. When his president wants him back as the Sergeant At Arms for the NOLA Chapter of the RBMC, Scorn has no choice but to return. However, when he finds out why Jameson wanted him to return, he’s not happy.
She wanted to start her own school for autistic and special needs children when she ran into the red tape and fear of public-school policies. Kristin had the space, part of her father’s property in town and just needed to convert it to a school. What didn’t expect was to have her father make a deal with the RBMC to protect her because they had a deal in place.
I loved this story, but it was an emotional roller coaster of a ride. Scorn not only suffered loss ten years ago when took off, but now he will face it again. He’s not ready for the loss or the gain that he will find when he returns to NOLA. This story is emotional, action packed, and full of great characters. Scorn knows that he shouldn’t go against his president, but he can’t help himself. Kristin is not used to the bad boy’s but the pull she has with Scorn is beyond her control. These two may not normally fit together, but they were made for each other. I love the RBMC books, all of the authors have done a great job with their stories and I look forward to continuing reading all of the chapters stories. I give this book a 5-star review.

Feisty Teacher & Alpha Biker = 5 Star Powerful Story
Afflicted with Desire is a powerful story by Crimson Syn. It is the 3rd book in the New Orleans Chapter of the Royal Bastards MC. It is Julian Scorn’s story. We were introduced to Julian in the previous books. It was wonderful to check back in with several favorite RBMC characters.
Julian Scorn is definitely an alpha male and likes to get his way. He is also stubborn, but can be vulnerable at times. Julian loves fiercely and will protect his family (blood or family of choice) and those that he loves with this life. I loved learning about his disabled daughter and how he protected her when she was a baby. Julian falls for his daughter’s seemingly innocent teacher.
Kristin is a feisty and independent Special Education Teacher. She acts before thinking sometimes but wants to do what is best for her students. She doesn’t back down from anything unless someone does not give her a choice. Kristin looks very sweet and innocent, but she has a naughty side. She is attracted to Julian from the start, but knows that he is trouble.
I loved how the author brought these characters together. Scorn and Kristin had white-hot chemistry.. Afflicted with Desire is a well-written story with interesting characters, suspense, romance, love, plenty of emotion, and action. I love a strong heroine and this story has that. I highly recommend this story.

Truly Afflicted for the Right Thing and Reason!
Afflicted with Desire is the third book in the RBMC New Orleans National Chapter series. These books seem to have a theme in which the hunky gorgeous bad boy biker is given a set of rules to follow which include not to touch certain women. Of course, that is exactly who they want to touch and even claim. What ensues, as with Afflicted with Desire, is lots of MC action, steamy erotic romance, high drama, violence beyond measure, suspense, thrills, a few twists, and betrayals. The books will keep you entertained and engaged from page one. The books are easy quick reads, and very predictable. There are also too many pages filled with sex scenes that don't help the plot move along.
In Afflicted with Desire, Scorn (aka Julian), the new SAA for the NOLA National Chapter of RBMC, returns to his hometown in support of and at the request of, the returned Prez, Jameson. His family is letting him back in and he has to get this one right for his daughter, Isabella. However, the complications come in when he gets the hots for Kirsten, a client that Jameson has made clear is off limits. Being the rule breaking nomad that he is, Scorn and Kirsten have to fight for their love and their HEA, while also fighting for her dream, and keeping the Bloody Scorpions at bay, which brings in familiar characters from other RBMC chapters. What Kirsten and Julian (aka Scorn) have to go through to get there includes high drama, lots of erotic romance, action, thrills, chills, humor, a little terror, tragedy, and finally an HEA that was worth fighting for.

The RBMC is Back! Ok so here is Scorn and Juliannes story is tragic as it wearisome. I did not like Scorn. I found him to be selfish and disrespectful. He not only disrespects Julianne but he disrespected the club. I mean the gist is stated in the by laws set forth by the RBMC for petes sake! I found it not at all heartwarming when these two get together. I really liked the story but I just cannot get my head around these two. Would you want a man like this? Nope I sure would not! Julianne, I do not care how naïve you are she should have known there would be retaliation for her actions and for her to just dismiss those consequences I found to be unbelievable no matter the circumstances! I love all things RBMC but these two just did not work for me and that is ok in my books. I do not have to like the characters to like the story although it helps but in this case I rated this because although I did not like her characters the story itself was fulfilling. It so deserves 5 stars just for the shear agility it has to raise my blood pressure and get my heart pumping also it bears that the writing is phenomenal!

First, I'm going to state that this is the first book I am reading in this series, that's right, my dumb butt read book three and came into this whole thing a bit lost and not really understanding things. We do get a very good back story so that fixed that issue, but as far as the characters and previous on goings not so much. Anyways, Scorn left ten years ago, he left to make sure that one he lived, but also the family he left behind lived and weren't going to be the fallout of his lifestyle. Well, now he is back, back to a mother that is a bit bitter, totally understandable and a daughter that has no clue he even existed. Add to all those issues and the other club issues, he meets Kristin. They catch the feels and sparks and then find out that she is also his daughters teacher. Will Scorn fall into that love trap again or will he let a second chance at happiness pass him by?
This story was a super nitty gritty biker story. It grips you right from the start and doesn't let go. I loved that it opens straight into action, and TBH it felt non-stop. I am going to have to go back and read the first two of the series. I give this 4 stars.

This book is part of the Royal Bastards MC collection. This is the third book for the New Orleans, LA chapter. Scorn has been on the run for ten years. Now Jameson has called him home for more than one reason. He is still haunted by what happened all those years ago. But he has things back home that he needs to deal with. He is put on babysitting type of job but finds it hard to keep his hands to himself. She also happens to be his daughter’s teacher. Their chemistry is through the roof. Things get interesting when Kristen does her job and reports child abuse, she has witnessed. The child’s father is part of a rival MC and won’t stand for anyone interfering in their business. Scorn feels like history is repeating its self. Scorn must decide if he is going to do something or continue to run. I loved this book. I felt for Scorn and all his has been through. Great job Crimson. I can’t wait for the next book about this chapter.

This was a great book. My only problem with it was the lack of editing. Seems there was none. I can ignore a lot of spelling and sometimes a missed word if I can figure it out in my mind quickly but this was awful about taking me out of the story.
On to the book. Scorn is an asshole. I can kinda understand what he did and why but not when he didn't stay in touch. Thank God for his mother. At first it felt like he was forcing himself on Kristin but she didn't seem to mind not one single bit.

I freaking love this MC and dare I say I have a few favourite chapters! I do! There, I said it and this is one of them!
Scorn had been away, a nomad, a bounty hunter but when the President of the National Chapter asks you to come home, you do! Or in Scorn's case, not so quickly!
Any who shit pretty much hits the fan as soon as he gets back. But amongst all that, he reconnects with loved ones and unexpectedly finds Kristin. It seems they have someone in common.
Not going to lie, there were times, I cried! Like legit! This book made me feel a lot and I lived it!!
I also pre-ordered Riddick's book before writing this review.....oh and the Christmas one too!! Go! Do it now!!!

From beginning to end this book was an emotional, steamy, action packed ride and I didn't want Scorn's story to end. 10 years ago events forced Scorn to leave his mother, baby girl and club to become a nomad, bounty hunter and being all about women, but events at home cause the National President wanting him home even if it takes him a bit to get there. Once there his life changes forever. He reunites with mother and daughter and meets the women who will give him the happily ever after he deserves after all life has handed him. There's so much more I want to say, but this book is too good to give anything away. I laughed, I cried and I couldn't get enough. I'm so ready for the next book.

This was great! My first time reading Crimson Syn’s work and I loved it. It was fast passed and kept you on the edge of your seat, not knowing what to expect next!
Scorn.. Wowsers 🔥🔥🔥 He’s been through so much heartache and betrayal, you root for him to find a little happiness. He has a lot more to endure before he can get a slice of happiness.🔥
Kristin.. I really like her! She does nothing back down from anything or anyone. I love the job she does, she got such a caring nature. I just love her ♥️

An incredible addition in this series. Scorn (Julian) had to leave his family behind in order to protect them and now he’s come back home. Kristin has always loved children and loves her job teaching, but when she reports a child’s abuse she becomes a target and the Royal Bastards MC is there for her protection. When trouble happens Scorn will do whatever it takes to keep everyone safe. Scorn and Kristin’s story will take you on one wild ride. It’s an exciting read from the first page until the last, it’s filled with complex characters, action, danger, twists, heartbreak, and off the chart chemistry. Highly recommend.

The Royal Bastard MC series is one of my favorites. Each book is a stand alone. Each chapter of the MC is written by a different author. I love the interaction of the characters between MC chapters. You never know which character might appear in the book you are currently reading. The New Orleans chapter is home to the RBMC President. He calls for Julian, aka Scorn, to return home to New Orleans. Scorn is given the assignment to protect Kristin and her father. Julian is also reconnecting with his dying mother and 10 year old daughter. Instant lust between Scorn and Kristin. Very fast paced and a great end for the RBMC and the happy couple.

Hot and steamy 🔥🔥
The bad boy and the forbidden fruit. I have to say this story hits home for me. The school that she is trying to open is something that would be perfect for my little girl. To have someone who cares for kids The way Kristin does is hard to find in a great teacher. And Scorn, he's tough, strong, sexy, and very protective. This book has triggers so be prepared. It kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time. The timing in the story was perfect. I have to say I loved how Crimson used her PA's name in this story. Not sure who will catch that. Another phenomenal story Crimson.

Those fucking psycho bloody scorpions crossed the line wayyyyy 2 much and Jameson should have did paybacks much earlier!! After the stupid shit he did with his daughter he needs 2 really make it up 2 her and his mom. When he found out about what was wrong with his daughter and with her he wanted 2 run away instead of facing things and working through them. But 1 person stood up 2 others and 2 him and things that happened was scary from 1 person in particular. Lol but people will get 1 he'll of a message not 2 duck with them!!

This book has plenty in it to keep you occupied. Violence, drama, betrayal, heartache, romance…. It has just about everything in it! Scorn has had anything but an easy life. Betrayed by a woman, on the run from enemies.
When he does find the one he wants, he still has to go through he!! To keep her. This book touched my heart majorly when I learned of the daughter. For the that was the sweetest part.

Wow!!! Scorn is supposed to keep Kristin safe. She is a job but soon turns into something that he never expected to happen. And the kicker is, she is his daughter's teacher as well. Jameson tells all of them hands off. I don't think Scorn got that memo. Kristen is just ad enamored with Scorn. Get ready for a wild ride with these two. Plus a RBMC book is not complete unless the bloody scorpions make an appearance.

good read
Third book and it’s a good mixture of the first two books as well as having characters from other writers. Wasn’t a fan of Julian to start with but then he grows up. They seem to have a lustful relationship and again the female lead does and acts stupid after being portrayed as fairly strong. Liked the retribution dealt out but should have been done after the first death.

Julian did the only thing he knew to protect his mom and daughter. He is back now with a while set of new issues. Kristin loves children and her job teaching. When trouble comes knocking, Julian will do everything in his power to keep everyone safe. Excellent writing with a spectacular storyline.

Wow! Scorn's book is amazing! This is a fast paced book and I fell in love with it. Scorn was betrayed by his wife and his life changed because of it. Kristen is naive and innocent when she meets him. I loved the writing style in this book. I could feel all of the character's emotions. I’m already ready for the next book!

This book was a thrill to read and it kept you moving from beginning to end in one sitting. It is an amazing story that moves along at a really great pace. It has interesting characters that you want to know more about and you cant help but love them. This book is a must read, there is no doubt about it.
