This whole hog is just how heavy-duty the science-thinking is. Old Mike Shupp was a real-deal aerospace engineer, so he didn't just write some silly little time-machine story. He cooked up a universe set ninety-thousand years into the future, where different factions of time-traveling spooks are constantly messin' with the past to save their own skin. In this fourth go-around, the main time agents start flat-out feudin' with each other over what the future is supposed to look like, leadin' to some serious back-stabbing conspiracies. It’s anchored by a regular old one-armed Vietnam vet named Tim who is just tryin' to survive the madness.
