A single dad military romance

Gabe
I’m all wrong for her: too old, small kids, different state
Yet she’s everything I need and don’t have time for
I can’t stop thinking about her and when I hold her in my arms
There’s no way I’m letting her go

Isobel
I’m home for a week only it’s not feeling like much of a vacation
I keep running into this rude older man who glares at me
Then I kiss him to prove a point
And now I want to do it again and again and again…

This is a safe, hot, and sweet short romance with an older alpha single dad and a satisfying HEA.

Gage is the seventh in the Men of A Corps series. If you like instalove short reads with steamy love scenes, no cliffhangers, and hot alpha heroes, this is for you.

I write steamy romance that’s safe, funny, and totally over the top. My heroes are always alpha males because the stronger they are, the harder they fall. Luckily the smart, sassy heroines know how to catch them and make everything better!

I never get tired of believing that love can show up unexpectedly and with determination. That it can find you anywhere, even curled up on the couch, in your jammies, while eating ice cream and binging romance novels. Then a knock on the door reveals your gorgeous new neighbor that you didn’t even know had moved in… or maybe it’s that hot friend of your dad’s you only know through photos…

Possibly the HEAs come easier because my home and office are in a romantic clearing of giant evergreens in the Pacific Northwest. Think Snow White without the Dwarves. But I do have a bounty of wild animals that come to visit. There’s even a resident nuthatch that talks to itself (constantly)! And there *are* currently seven chickens in the henhouse…

I am voluntarily reviewing an advanced reader copy of this book.

Isobel is visiting her parents and determined younger sister when somehow finds herself wearing a fairy outfit and handing out gifts to the children in the local community. Just when she thought that she could escape and get out of the fairy costume that is way too small for her, there is a new group of children to greet. She spots Gage immediately and is attracted to the man but with the two little girls that he has with him concludes that he must be married and tries to push that thought from her mind but it seems as though fate has other ideas as this isn’t their first meeting and nor will it be their last, but is Isobel ready to return home and give up the life she has been building for this man she barely knows?

Gage has been raising his two young nieces for the last six month after his sister was killed in an accident. Things haven’t been easy but he is finally building the life that he wants so when he meets the mischievous and sassy fairy he believes that he won’t see her again, so when he attends a photo shoot on Seal Beach for a meet and greet with the girl he rescued decades ago he is shocked when his Tinkerbell is the one walking down the beach. It is in that minute that he realises that they are meant to be, but he is older than her and still trying to navigate being a father to his sister’s young children can he ask her to give everything up for him or should he let her go?

This was yet another wonderful story from Ms Sinclair and I enjoyed the meetings between Gage and Isobel and them discovering that they already had a past. The characters in these books seem farfetched and so real all at once but who doesn’t love an alpha male who will do whatever he needs too in order to get the girl. Isobel was no pushover either she made sure that Gage knew what she wanted. Highly recommended read. 4.5*

You come to visit the the family, doing one good deed, and boom you’ve got a family. Isobel is one feisty young woman who comes home for a week, but to get out of
decluttering old boxes of memories her mom wants gone. She takes the emergency volunteer job her mom wants her to do, because she’s small in stature. Be a fairy who hands out goodie bags for the regular who can’t make it.

Her last little person of the comes with her dad, or who she thinks is her dad. The two has you can tell by the way the author has them bantering like each other. Gage, notices a hint of a tattoo and finds it intriguing because this sexy “Tinkerbell” has a naughty side. No names are exchanged especially when the dress rips and she takes a fast exit.

Now, her sister, Leah finds a twenty year old picture of a sailor holding a girl, from the newspaper she has been trying to get hired on at. No matter she’s still in high school. The pic is of Isobel being held by that sailor at the age of four. Idea strikes, if she can find the sailor maybe this is her in. Guess who he is? Yup!

This is a very sweet, sexy read. Gage’s nieces are sweet and starved for a woman’s touch. Isobel has the energy and fun personality to be the one. The instalove was just a fun read for this gap age read. Kindle Unlimited free read 11/14/20.

Overall Opinion: A love story on speed. In just a few DAYS, a man meets a woman, decides she is the woman of his life, introduces her to the children he has custody of and marries her. You can NOT see this story as realistic, but if you read it as a fairy tale, it is a beautiful story. To be fair, I must add that there is nothing original in this story. It is one of a dozen, but the writing style and vocabulary won me over. The vocabulary register of this writer exceeds that of most contemporary authors. I was pleasantly surprised because I even had to use a dictionary 4 times (English is not my mother tongue) and that on such a short story. The book also contains some very beautiful, original sentences. The novelist also displays a cultural background that you would not expect in such a paper-thin story.
Linguistically, the book is so highly recommended that I am now going to read the other stories in the series as well.

Brief Summary of the Storyline: This is Isobel and Gage's story. They meet and fall in love. It is a short fairytale, period.

Point Of View (POV): This alternated between Isobel and Gage's POV.

Overall Pace of Story: very fast. I have never read a story in which the events follow each other in such quick succession. No time is wasted on additional information or descriptions.

Instalove: Yes

Sadness level: Low, no tissues needed

Push/Pull: None

Heat level: Hot. They have some hot tension, chemistry, and scenes -- but not so much it takes away from the story.

Descriptive sex: Yes

Safe sex: No. They both claim to be healthy (no time for tests in this fast story) she is on birth control so they do not use a condom.

OW (Other Woman)/OM (Other Man) drama: No (there is no time for such a storyline in this story :) )

Cheating: No time for that either

Linguistics/Grammar: AN ABSOLUTE MUST. It has been a long time since I have read a text with such beautiful sentences and such an extensive vocabulary. The narrative style won me over completely. One of the more enjoyable scenes, for example
But I keep the ring on and put the following candidates on top of it. Finally, he gives in.
“Okay. You’re right. I want you to love it more than I need to attach a paperweight to your arm.”
I sense a Trojan horse.
“But if we go with that one then there’s got to be a wedding ring next to it right away.”
“Define right away?”
“Next week.”

Even though it is a flimsy little story, I am now going to start looking for the other books in the series.

Duas coisas aí me incomodaram.

E isso me incomodou demais.

Romance com crianças é complicado, eu tenho minhas reservas com esse tipo de história por isso. Esse não foi dos melhores. Repito: não foi ruim, mas algumas coisas deixaram um gosto amargo na minha boca.

ACI - Where all the hotties work!

So much fun!! This whole book made me grin, and I giggled in quite a few places too. Gage, as you'd expect, is a silver fox, an uber alpha, and a loving if unprepared single father to his two nieces. Isobel is petite, mischievous, and sassy - very much the naughty fairy Gage names her. Upon first meeting, Gage is captivated by her, Isobel is attracted but unsure, and neither realizes they have a connection that spans decades. But I love, love, love the way Gage takes advantage of their second meeting, going all out to win the woman his heart has chosen. I really enjoyed the way Isobel took the time to really think through what it would mean to be with Gage - age difference, instant family, and all. But what made me swoon was when Gage asked her what she wanted for the future, not what she thought she could have but what she wanted. Everything else was just obstacles to figure out and overcome. As you can tell, I adored this story! It is definitely one I'll be reading again. Happy Reading!!

Isobel is home for a vacation when she gets talked into filling in as a fairy at the local community center. She never expected to meet gorgeous Gage with his adorable daughter, but he’s married so oh well! Only when they end up meeting again and she finds out he’s not married she instantly falls for him! Gage is retired from the military and working at ACI. He is also now raising his late sister’s two daughters. When he meets Isobel the gorgeous fairy he falls for her and will do whatever it takes to make her his! Another great book in the series!

Gage has been raising his two nieces for the last 6 months after their mother died. Isobel is home for a vacation and has been asked to fill in as a fairy at the community center. She didn't think she would meet the most gorgeous guy in the world with his daughter. They meet again for a photoshoot and he recognizes her as the fairy and calls her Tinkerbell. They share the most amazing kiss. They fall really fast for each other. Their chemistry is off the charts. He will do whatever it takes to make Isobel his forever. Short sweet over the top romance. I love this series! The men are military - so strong, devoted and caring. The women are smart and compassionate. Gage is a single dad who falls into instalove with Isobel. Unfortunately, Isobel is only in town for a few days visiting her family. Can Gage convince her to stay?
Told in dual POV this is a short, funny, sexy romance (even with the children)! It is realistic in emotions and covers a range of them in its few pages. A good addition to the rest of the men and women who don't let anything get in the way of their HEA. Sweet with heat entertainment!

This book 7 in the Men of A Corps Series is very well-written, insta-love, happily-ever-after, STEAMY romance. This story is well-created with characters that have substance and grow with the stories. There are no cliffhangers, no cheating and has HEA. This is a standalone story part of the Alpha Corps series. Must read story of Gage and Isobel who meet when she is filling in as a fairy for kids day. The attraction was immediate between them and he was determined to claim her. Can he convince her before she leaves town.

Gage and Izzy

I foresee all of these getting a 3 but that is still good. These are quick stories so it is difficult to get too involved yet a the same time, worth the quick read. They are insta-love so …
And what is up with all the girls smelling like almond? What shampoo is this?

Sweet Steamy and HEA

Love this story of fated mates across 20 years. I liked that they follow their gut feelings without trying to second guess each other. A woman with a great self-esteem is sexy.
