Plot in a nutshell: Callie is new in town, making her dream come true by opening her own bakery. Asher meets her, becomes smitten, and begins his pursuit in earnest.
Simple, right? It was ==> in the best possible way! Once I got past the author's use of a few too many exclamation points, I fell in love with Callie . . .

I'm completely comfortable in my own skin. If a guy can't handle that, then I'd rather be alone.. . . and the OTT Asher . . .
The second I laid eyes on her I wanted to throw her over my shoulder and run away with her screaming, "Mine, fuckers!"Honestly, I laughed out loud many times at all the irreverence.
"I can hear your uterus sighing dreamily while your hoo-ha does jazz hands."Sometimes all you need a nice pick-me-up. If you're looking for some sweet, easy-going fun, full of friendship and love, you've found it.
She has the kind of smile to make the worst day better and the kind of beauty, inside and out, that men go to war over.I'm so looking forward to the next installments of this series.

I didn't want to dnf it, I pushed myself to read as much as I could but I just can't anymore.
This was cheesy af, the characters were like horny teenagers, always thinking about s*x and the hero was too possessive for no particular reason. There's also the "mean girl of the school" who wants to be with the hero (who BTW is a major player). Too insta love and too many steamy scenes for my liking.

I thoroughly enjoyed this super cute and oh so sexy small town insta-love story! It's light, breezy, and as sweet as Callie's cupcakes. The characters are easy to like, loyal and caring, and their chemistry is off the charts. All around fun read, and daaaaang Asher is hot!

The smile never fell from my face while reading this book. This is Elyse Kelly’s debut book and I am excited to read more.
Asher is your typical manwhore who doesn’t do dates or relationships but when he first laid eyes on Callie that all went out the window. But I really think it was her sassiness that won Asher, that says what’s on her mind and doesn't care what you think.
These two had that instant chemistry and oh the dirty talk. I think I shivered every time Asher said “baby girl”!
Loved all the characters, each had their own unique personalities and I can’t wait to discover more about them.

I'm not one to read rom com however when I read this book I couldn't put it down. I absolutely love this book and can't wait to read more. Elyse is amazing and her writing is so good.

If you are looking for a dark angsty story of two people who can't decide if they want to be together, this is NOT the book for you. HOWEVER, if you're looking for a book about two people who are sweeter than sugar and will make you swoon, this IS the one for you.
Elyse has written characters that you immediately fall in love with. Callie is sweet and sassy. And Asher is drawn to her like I'm sure every woman wishes a hottie like him would be.
It's a fun quick read to pull you out of the chaotic world we are living in to a simple, small town where the characters get their happily ever after together.

I only have good things to say about The Sweet Spot. Elyse Kelly writes as if her characters are talking to their best friends, and I LOVED that. It was funny, cute, romantic and most of all SWEET. The perfect little romcom for anyone who loves alpha males, women with a sense of humour and a happy ever after. Oh, and steam. How could I forget that little detail, because Elyse did NOT skimp on the good bits. Now go dive into the wonderful world of Magnolia Springs while you wait for the snow to thaw in your backyard.

This book was amazing! If you love romantic and cute happy endings then this one is it! I swear I had butterfly’s and was blushing while reading this. There is some down and dirty scenes in here but that’s just the cherry on top! This was a quick read and I was just hooked on it and I especially love the little town vibe I got from it. Definitely check this one out!

ARC REVIEW! I loved this book. I thought it was adorable and I was really rooting for Callie. This is a quick read with just enough sweetness from Asher to give you butterflies and feel excited for Callie. Asher is definitely the hero in this book! Looking forward to reading the next because I love me some character crossover. Excited to know Elyse will continue the stories of Magnolia Springs!

Well written, story flows smoothly. It’s a sweet, sexy, light story.
I liked how as soon as Archer saw Callie he went all cave man. He said mine immediately and didn’t want any of the other guys talking about her or tasting her cupcakes. Asher being the manwhore that he is immediately falls for Callie and he’s very confident that she wants him as much as he wants her.
I love the banter between Callie and Archer. They are really cute together and super sweet. I can’t wait I can’t wait to see what’s next. This was a quick read that had some steamy sexy times.

I really liked this sweet novella! It was a bit over the top here and there but sometimes that’s just exactly what you need! I great palette cleanser if you want a quick read.

Amazing! My type of book!
I absolutely loved the story. I enjoy short story books especially because I started school and this one was perfect.
Callie and Asher didn't believe much in love or relationships so just knowing that they trusted their instincts was amazing.

The Sweet Spot is Elyse Kelly's debut novel. As can sometimes be expected from a debut, it does need a little editing. This in no way detracts from the story, though!
I found this to be a very fun, sweet, sexy and funny read. The writing is exuberant, the storyline fun, and I'm pretty sure I was wearing my "goofy reader's grin" throughout!
As I usually read quite dark romances, I found this to be the perfect palate cleanser - and sometimes you just need to read a book that makes you laugh and believe in soulmates.
I'll definitely be reading any future books the author puts out! Congrats Elyse on your debut! ❤

It’s a quick read that isn’t short on heat, steam, or humor. The insta love is the theme or insta lust that leads to it. At first I wasn’t sure if I wanted to smack the male MC because his first interactions with the female MC were borderline harassment. But hey it’s fiction and fantasy so no biggie.

The Sweet Shop is a quick, insta love, steamy romance story. It gave me all the feels, and made me smile. Callie and Asher have a sizzling connection towards eachother from the moment they meet. They were just so darn sweet together. I found the banter between the characters to be humourous. It was so entertaining, that I probably would read it over and over again.

This book was a breathe of fresh air on a cool and crisp autumn morning. I absolutely loved everything about it. It’s a delicious small town romance with a sexy AF playboy mechanic and a sassy spitfire baker, that fall head over cupcake in love.
I couldn’t read the words fast enough and was laughing out loud while simultaneously fanning myself furiously, at the witty banter and sexy naked times these two engaged in.
Do yourself a favor and read.this.book as ASAP as possible, because trust me, you’re going to love it!

This story is quite appealing especially the scenery, it’s a small town, a girl owning a new bakery café, an old mechanic auto shop, and adapting the new environment there. Callie is the new girl in town owning the bakery cafe & she is a likable, pretty, confidence and so independent! As for the guy who works at the old mechanic auto shop next door, her so-called love interest, Asher, he is loud dirty talker, proud, & very flirtatious person. In time, you might hate or love Asher. For me, he grew on me just a tad bit throughout the story. I am used to a slow burn romance or get to know the characters more before anything happens between them and apparently, this is not how it went between them. “Relationships take time. You have to get to know one another first, build the chemistry and allow that spark to ignite before you can begin that romantic journey.” They do have spark right away, & trust me, many great steamy moments with them, indeed. Yet, it seems they were more focused on each other’s looks and body & getting it on v.s. getting to know one another. Soon enough, when the time comes they declare their love for each other, I didn’t feel it. I see more of lust than love. Perhaps, it’s best to get to know them more, provide more background stories or more of a build up of their relationship but then again, this is a novella & it’s tough to get them into that level of true love in a short period of time. I think author did a great job for the concept of it all & truly have a lot of potential. Not everyone’s tastes are the same and so, if you are wanting a slow burn and very sweet romance, this is not for you. I will recommend this book if you want to have a fun and steamy read, for sure. The prologue for the 2nd book captioned my heart & so, I am interested reading the 2nd book because I think it will get even better!
