This is a fun story. If troublesome twins are difficult classmates, imagine what will happen when terrifying triplets become your new neighbours. The mew school year promises to be a challenge for David.
I enjoyed this story and the children in it. David has a very real problem that he needs to find a solution to. Fortune, he has a good friend to turn to for help.
Along with the problem solving are geography trivia and Spanish vocabulary. A fun way to learn.

I don’t often delve into the chapter book realm. It’s a little too young for my teaching needs / reading tastes, but I do recognize that teachers need titles that reflect their students and I loved that these are available now to younger readers.
Twins vs. Triplets: Back-to-School Blitz features a young boy who must navigate his way around exactly that – twins and triplets – on the school playground. The play structure, to be exact. It’s a super-fast story so I won’t ruin how he ends up “king of the mountain,” so to speak. There’s a Halloween-set sequel as well.
Enjoy!

Our family read this book together as a read aloud at the end of our night. My kids enjoyed the story and kept saying Oh NO! because these twins and triplets were not good kids and caused quite a bit of trouble.
If you enjoy the series, Ivy & Bean, and Judy B. Jones then I think you will like this series too. I would recommend to read this series out loud (like all trouble making character books) so you can talk to your kids about right and wrong and ask them what they would do this situation. I think this allows the book to be interactive and incorporates a lesson with it too.
My kids really liked this book they are looking forward to reading the next one.

There’s a lot to like: the Spanish words intermixed, the geography club and puns, the main character’s quick thinking.
But I don’t like the twins and how David’s parents and teachers push the responsibility of dealing with them on to him. He’s in third grade! The triplets showing up to face off against the twins would be more amusing if Bird didn’t poke and pinch David.
Not my favorite of the Harper Chapters. And how is this an L GRL?
87 pages, lots of text per pages for a starter chapter book.

One gave it 5 stars, the other 3. I have to believe it is because they are twins and also have triplets in their class. This book would get one star from me just because of the annoying writing. I will never understand the need to throw in a abdomen phrases that add nothing to the story.
I’m definitely NOT getting more in this series.

Liked the story a lot, but disappointed with the two illustrations of straight lines for Asian eyes.

Read this with my seven year old. She loved it. The story kept her interested and she loved the characters, especially Edith. She gave it five stars.
