Recovering from the ordeal in Arkansas, the Hotamétaneo’o take some much needed time off to heal and to bury their dead. Returning to their ancestral lands, they say goodbye to the fallen and find new allies in the battle against the Oolonga-Doglalla. But their reprieve will prove to be short-lived. Disappearances near the small town of Eminence, Missouri draw them back to the Ozarks to hunt the shadowy Dogmen. To make matters worse, they have been asked for help by a mysterious werewolf who claims her entire pack has been taken captive by the Dogmen. Betrayal and death haunt their every move as they seek to solve the mystery behind the abductions, stop the killings and prevent the Dogmen from breaking their age-old curse. Each step closer only deepens the mystery and Will finds himself close to being swallowed by the darkness within him. A darkness that only deepens when he learns the truth about the powerful Alphas of the pack. The final battle can only end in blood and death. Can the Hotamétaneo’o triumph or will they fall and join the ranks of the Oolonga-Doglalla? The battle of their lives is upon them, beneath the Hunter’s Moon.

Great read. However, I was very disappointed at the killing of Sarah and Gabriel. I would have liked to see a offshoot of Will’s kids. Maybe a Boy from Sarah and a girl from Gabriel. After all, didn’t Sarah have a vision of giving Will two kids? Or maybe they (Sarah and Gabriel) came back as have werewolves half vampires. I’m just saying. They shouldn’t have been killed off so easily. But anyway great read!
This sends Greyeagle and the other Dog Soldiers on another adventure as a powerful pack of werewolves begin preying on Ozark people. There are times you will laugh and times a tear might fall but you will enjoy this book as much as the other books in the series. There are some big surprises scattered all through the book. Just an amazing job of writing by this author.
So many WTF moments What was D.A. Roberts thinking? What was D.A. Roberts smoking? This story just pin-balls around bouncing off the walls. There is making it up as you go along, and then there is this crap. What a mess, and so pointless.
This series is awesome. I hope that there is more to come. The characters and the settings are well thought out. I also liked the native American take. Well done, please continue the series!!!
Started kinda in the middle with the book set at Silver Dollar City. Loved it immensely. After reading all of those I read the Belial Witches, found it interesting but not my cup of tea. Just finished the 3rd book in the Apex Predator series and hope that the next book is completed quickly for either series. Roberts has great characters, a fair amount of humor, and lots of paranormal intrigue. I like that these were mainly set in Missouri too, I have been on several of the rivers he mentions floating especially the Current and Jack's Fork. Stayed at camp grounds too. It really is a heavily wooded area that could hide Bigfoot and Dogmen. Being on the next act Mr. Roberts please.
Yet another action filled story from DA Roberts! My favorite Kindle author never fails to fulfill my expectations for a story I can count on to cause the hair on my neck to rise! Living in a remote area with the closest neighbor almost a mile away never bothered me before I started reading his books but now every time I go out after dark I look for shadows lol. And knowing we have had Bigfoot sightings in a swamp about 25 miles away doesn’t help either! Thank you Mr Roberts for your thrilling imagination and keep on writing!
Another enjoyable tale of the Dog Soldiers. I might be more sympathetic at the loss of Sarah if I had read the earlier books, but didn't know of their existence at the time. Seemed like Gabby should have been with Cody. That withstanding, it was quite a good book, had me looking up things that I was not familiar with, which is always a plus for me. This had some good twists to it also, didn't see it coming at all! That spoiler I won't tell.

There really wasn't anything in this story I disliked. The story flowed like real life. There were many defining moments for each character and they all made decisions I can live with. Definitely recommend reading this book if you like to think about what goes bump in the night.
I found this author by accident...So far I have read 6 books of his in the span of one week....Love the storyline and alk the main characters..Cried with Grandfather and Will Gray eagle and laughed at Mike and Cody....Will definitely get the rest of his books ..I found a new author to read..Thank you Mr. Roberts for writing edge of your seat stories...
This book was great finished it in one day could not put it down. This author has such a great imagination and I can't wait for the next one to come out. There's no crappy cliff hangers either lol
Eye Opening Encounter with this 3rd book of the series!
I won't give out any "spoilers" but wow this was a great adventure for these special Native American warriors!! Thanks for the tie in to Team Odin also!! As those were the first books from this author I read. 😊
When you get so close to the characters you cry with them and for them it’s a great story love and loss as well as satisfaction will is so broken. You want to find out what direction he’s going to go
This book just as good to read as first two books. I thought the first book would be similar to that of the Bloodborn series but the author gives a different twist on it that makes it different and interesting. Can’t wait to read the next book
This is a good book. You shouldy read it. I like the story. The characters are fun. The book is a good read. i enjoyed it alot.. Download or buy it today. why not?
This book is good, still a solid read, pacing, plot characters everything is well, but really I can't help but curse the author for some of the decitions made in this one. The lost of those two charatcers was really bad, Will decition at the end of it was even worse, hope thats not the end for him and the Dog soldiers, also kuddos to the author for expanding in the magic world, and how different cultures interact with it, hoping for Will to manage the impossible and mix those two wolves in him.
This story ends this series. It starts a new series at the very end. The continuity was great. Still a lot of errors in the wording and sentence structure. Proof readers need to slow down and pay attention. The story itself was just awesome. The book had everything it needed to be great. Lots of drama, some humor, and lots of action. I cannot wait to read this next series.
I'm working through all five (5) books in this series, and I love the story and the characters. It's a good story that contains Native Culture: Myths, Legends, and History. The story moves at a decent pace - not too fast or slow, so the reader stays involved until the end. Characters are well-developed, so you care about what happens to them.
I know that"hurt the hero" is almost a literary requirement, but what happens to our hero in this one is JUST WRONG. Despite that, still a great read as usual and has a great ending that ties it into his Wild Hunt series.
All I can say is…..I didn’t see the deaths coming. My mouth just hung open when reading that chapter. Then there’s the major reveals about the enemies. I starting on the next book asap!!
This was a thousand percent better than the last book. I loved hearing Greyeagle and Cody’s stories. It was heartbreaking to hear the stories as well. People who are enjoying this series will love reading this book. It brings the wildness in us all to call.
It astounds me at the military accuracy. I deeply appreciate the nod to the truth. Another great series to add to my ever growing collection. Proper outstanding
