And when Tara ignores Kate and heads out on her own, she encounters more opposition from Kate’s handsome friend Mick O’Dwyer.

Despite their differences, Tara soon finds herself captivated by Mick, and as he helps her research the area, they uncover a tumbledown farmhouse that holds a secret about Tara’s family. Miracles in Wild Rose Bay by Susanne O’Leary is the sixth book in the contemporary romance Sandy Cove series. As with a lot of romance series each book in the Sandy Cove series changes the main characters so each can be read and understood as a standalone if choosing to do so. However, for those following from the beginning there are glimpses of previous characters in each new book of the series, especially with this new addition to the series the new lead is the sister of the lead in book five and she has come to visit.

Tara O’Rourke has been in a rather dead end relationship that seems to be going nowhere with a man who refuses to think of settling down. When Tara is offered a photography job to travel to Ireland and feature the Wild Atlantic Way she jumps at the opportunity to not only take time to reflect on her relationship but to visit her sister in Sandy Cove.

Shortly after Tara arrives in Sandy Cove her flighty boyfriend breaks it off but she refuses to let it get her down and focuses on doing a wonderful job with her photos and story. Tara also stumbles onto an old photograph of her great-grandfather which leads her on a mission to discover more about her family history while she’s in Ireland with the help of her sister and family friend Mick O’Dwyer.

I have been following the Sandy Cove series since it began and have fallen in love with the quaint little town on the Irish coast and the people I meet in each installment. This latest had a bit of mystery with the past Tara was looking to uncover and a lot of the Irish coast. I would say though it could have used a bit more romance between Tara and Mick for those that join the series for the relationships but I didn’t mind too much and left this one at four stars.

I received an advance copy from the publisher via NetGalley.

I haven’t read the previous book but I could read it as a stand-alone even if there are characters from the first book that make appearance here.
The writing and landscape description was so beautiful and real and I could almost see everything with my eyes and feel all those fulfilling emotions when you find peace and a bit of happiness in a beautiful place.
The story is based on Tara’s new assignment of being a traveling photographer and editor, a job that brings her back home to Ireland where she discovers some hidden secrets from her ancestors.
It’s a quick read that ends up with a happily ever after and many romantic lovers will enjoy it.

Miracles in Wild Rose Bay by Susanne O'Leary is the next installment in this charming series, Sandy Cove Series, about rural Ireland in the present day. This story is about Tara, a professional photographer from New York City whose twin sister, Kate, is one of the doctors in Sandy Cove. They were both from Ireland. Kate stayed. Tara is kind of involved with another photographer, Joe, who pulls back from commitment and she is kind of tired of it so this assignment, which will take her to Ireland for the summer is just what she is looking for. When she gets to her sister's cottage she discover a book full of old photos and finds her gg grandfather, Daniel, who is the ancestor who fled Sandy Cove and landed them all in Dublin. He looks so much like her father and is standing in front of a house, which she is now determined to find. After asking some questions she is given a set of directions that she decides to follow. Once there she begins to explore and is approached by a man who turns out to be the owner. Feeling a little guilty, this accidental run-in leads to a very complicated story.

This is a terrific series of clean love stories which all take place in Sandy Cove. Tara is a city girl and a little out of her depth, at least at first. She could give two hoots about history, but all of a sudden she is all about tracking the history behind her gg grandfather and this house, which is not abandoned. In fact, she comes to blows with her sister over it. She learns a plenty about herself as she explores this dilemma. It is a fun ride through Ireland with plenty of both the past and the present and cameos by people from earlier books weighing in. It is homey and comfortable and a sheer joy to read. All's well that ends well and this story ends well. It is a delight. I recommend it.

Tara O'Rourke is visiting Sandy Cove from New York City to write an article and take phots of the hidden gem there in Ireland. Wild Rose Bay is a beautiful, nearly hidden location with a lot to offer. An extra bonus is that Tara is staying with her twin Kate, which gives the sisters extra bonding time.

Kate is not too keen on the exposure that Tara's article could create, as it could bring in too many tourists and upset the gentle beauty that the little village offers. Tara soon discovers an even deeper hidden gem that lends itself to the twins family background. Meanwhile, she meets Kate's friend, Mick O'Dwyer. Despite Kate and Mick's concern about Tara's intentions, she soon embarks on an adventure that will affect her life in ways she could not have expected.

An old farmhouse, one is great need of repair, soon becomes a big distraction in Tara's plans, but at the same time brings her closer to Mick, and ultimately Kate. There is one other player in this unfolding drama, and Tara's very future soon becomes tied up with her past.

What a lovely story that brings family history with the beauty that surrounds Tara and the others. I loved reading this gentle telling in this effective series by Susanne O'Leary. While this book certainly could do well as a standalone, the stories are loosely interconnected, which brings great continuity to this gorgeous series. Both the characters and the backdrop of Wild Rose Bay and Sandy Cove are quite lovely. I loved Tara and what she brought to this already enjoyable series. I do look forward to any additional stories set in this beautiful locale.

Many thanks to Bookouture and to NetGalley for this ARC for review. This is my honest opinion.

Thank you NetGalley and Bookouture for a copy of "Miracles in Wild Rose Bay" in exchange for my honest opinion.

This was our 6th visit to Sandy Cove and as always the reader falls in love with the place over and over again with each book. This time we met Kate O'Rourke's twin sister Tara who is a very successful photographer in New York City. As she is sent on an assignment for 'The Wild Vagabond' magazine for the summer to County Kerry, Ireland she gets to spend time with her sister and her fiancé Cormac and falls in love with a wreck. Cois Abhainn farm is falling apart but it holds O'Rourke roots and history that draws Tara in. Tara meets Mick O'Dwyer an actor at the Abbey Theatre in Dublin who seems to have lost his way. Kate works with Dr. Pat who is Mick's father.

Kate is not happy with Tara's assignment, she feels that it will bring hoards of tourists to Sandy Cove. She makes decisions that will affect not only herself but Tara as well. Kate feels that it is okay for Tara to have to give up her dream so that she can have hers come true. She feels that it's okay to force her own dreams on Tara. Kate is livid when Tara tells her that she wants to buy "the wreck" and doesn't want to listen to her sister's dreams. Kate manages to become more annoying as the book goes on. Add to it Mick's mother who is an irritating control freak.

However everything manages to work out and everyone gets their dreams to come true - with some minor adjustments. I'm very excited to hear that there will be 3 more books in the Sandy Cove series. I can't wait for the next trip to Ireland!

In my quest this year to expand my exposure to different reading genres outside of psychological thrillers and crime fiction, I took the opportunity to read Miracles in Wild Rose Bay when the offer presented itself.

For photographer Tara O’Rouke, her latest assignment for a travel magazine has her leaving behind the hustle and bustle of New York City and travelling to Sandy Cove in her native Ireland. There, she is reunited with her twin sister Kate, who has misgivings of what this might mean for the town and what is bound to be an influx of tourists.

But will Tara’s enthusiasm be extinguished when she and Mike, who she has a budding romance with, discover a rundown farmhouse that turns out, holds a long held family secret that she never new existed.

The sixth instalment in the Sandy Cove series and which can be read as a standalone, I was taken in by Susanne O’Learys engaging storytelling and was lost in her prose. Each of her characters have been so well created, are relatable and just have you invested in them.

A rural coastal town in Ireland, is the perfect backdrop for the story. It is just magical and is described so vividly, my bags were packed in my mind and I just wanted to be there. The setting is a ray of light and the perfect escape to get lost in with how dark the world is at the moment.

Miracles in Wild Rose Bay is a beautiful and heartwarming story that captured my heart. A new author to me, Susanne O’Leary is the epitome of the romance genre and is one author I would like to read more from in the future.

There is something about Ireland that stirs the soul, I don't know if it because I am of Irish descent or just the magic and legends that the place conjures up! The author did a brilliant job of describing the beautiful Irish coast and countryside and makes you want to visit Wild Rose Bay immediately.

Photographer Tara O'Rouke get a new assignment to photograph wild and remote holiday destinations in Ireland. Living in busy New York she grabs the opportunity to go back home to Ireland and visit her twin sister who she misses desperately. The twins have a very strange relationship Tara is very supportive and encouraging of her sister Kate, but Kate doesn't share the same personality. I found her to be spoilt and annoying throughout the book and selfish towards her sister. I must say I haven't read the previous books in the series so I don't know if there is a reason for this, although I didn't come across one in this book.

Whilst Tara spends time in the cove, family secrets start to come to the surface and Tara takes a risk and follows her dreams, however wild her Sister thinks them and sparks up a lovely, sweet friendship with Mick O'Dwyer. This is a book about family, friendships in the least likely places and following your dreams. A lovely sweet read.

Thank you to NetGalley, Bookouture and the author for giving me a ARC version of this book in return for my honest opinion.

Tara O'Rourke takes a photography assignment in Ireland and takes the opportunity to stay with her twin sister Kate. Can she uncover the mystery of her family history as well as heal her heart after her on-off relationship finally disintegrates...?
Miracles in Wild Rose Bay is part of the Sandy Cove series by Susanne O'Leary. There are spoilers about relationships established in previous books but I don't believe this would ruin the enjoyment of previous books if you go back to read them.
Tara appeared briefly in the previous book about her sister's arrival in Sandy Cove but is now the main protagonist in this book. She is keen to photograph the local area for her magazine assignment but her sister is concerned that this may have a negative effect if the place becomes overrun with tourists. This leads to conflict between the twins which is further exacerbated when Tara wants to buy the old family farm.
There is a mystery in the twins' family history as their great grandfather left the family farm and never returned. As she investigates the past, Tara has two potential love interests as she also seeks to forget about her American lover who dumps her unceremoniously. I had no idea which of the men she would end up with but felt she made the right choice.
Miracles in Wild Rose Bay is a gentle and warm romance novel set in the vividly described beauty of Ireland. The pace is calm and the plot unfolds against the backdrop of the rich setting.

Miracles in Wild Rose Bay is the 8th book in Susanne O’Leary’s Sandy
Cove series. Tara O’Rourke is getting quite the reputation for her excellence in photography. When The Wild Vagabond travel magazine contacts Tara to do a piece on the wild coasts of western Ireland she is all in. Her twin sister, Kate, a young doctor, lives in the village of Sandy Cove and has joined the local medical practice there. Plus, her family history says her family came from this area. As excited as Tara is to reunite with Kate, she never expected the pushback received from her twin on the focus of her article. Kate fears such a piece will bring unwanted tourism to their quiet little corner of Cork.

Never terribly interested in history of any kind, it isn’t long until Tara is as captured by family history as Kate is when she discovers the family farm that has been hidden and the real story of how their great grandfather left the family farm and sought his police career in Dublin. In meeting their distant cousin Liam, and in befriending former actor Will O’Dwyer, Tara is able to not only unravel the mystery of the past but tie up a very promising future.

This is a very well written and plotted book with endearing characters and amazing settings. The way the story unfolds is thoughtful and reveals a lovely story of finding your future by seeking your past. I did enjoy this book and I do recommend it!!

Thank you to Netgalley, the publishing house and the author for the opportunity to read a complimentary advance reader copy of this book in return for a review based upon my honest opinion.

I really enjoy this series, I like how the background characters are familiar and the scenery is always stunning. This book was an enjoyable quick read. This book centers around Tara, the twin sister of one of the previous book’s characters, Kate, who is now the GP of Sandy Cove. When Tara, a photographer, gets a job offer to do a magazine spread of the hidden parts of Irish coast she snaps up the opportunity; she can go visit her sister and work while she’s there. I was a little disappointed in Kate‘s character in this book, I felt that I really enjoyed her in the last book but in this one she felt a little bitchy. Tara interacts with some of our favourite characters from the past including Mick who I really enjoyed and was very happy to read more about it. The old farm house in this book was enchanting and you could almost smell those wild roses.

All in all, I enjoyed this book and would love to visit Ireland more every time I read one of this series. Can’t wait for the next book of this series.

Tara O’Rourke is offered the perfect job; to take photos of Ireland for a travel magazine. She knows the perfect location - Wild Rose Bay, where her twin sister, Kate works. Yet when she arrives, she is quite surprised by her sister’s open reluctance for her to expose the picturesque location to tourists. Soon Tara finds herself justifying her decision to not only her sister but to Mick O’Dwyer. Despite this opposition from Mick, he helps her research the area and together they uncover a farmhouse that Tara’s family has connections too. The more time they spend together, the more Tara questions whether she will ever be able to return to New York, to the life that she thought was once perfect.
This was an entertaining read with great images conjured of the Irish scenery. I could picture the rugged landscape quite vividly and loved the inclusion of the farmhouse and its mysterious background. I did struggle with the relationship between Kate and Tara, and I could never quite understand the intensity of Kate’s opposition to Tara’s job. Putting that aside, Mick was a great character and I enjoyed how both he and Tara’s past romances, made their relationship all the more realistic.
I received an ARC from NetGalley in exchange for my honest review.

This story made me wish it was summer and it was possible to travel to Kerry and visit the lovely and well described places where the book is set.
This is the third book I read in this series and always loved the light hearted and well written plots.
Each instalment can be read as a standalone even if characters from other novels are featured.
I had fun and thoroughly enjoyed it.
Tara, a photographer and travel journalist, and Kate, a doctor, are two interesting characters: they are strong willed and stubborn, each of them with different life choices and way of living.
Their relationship is not easy and sometimes I felt Kate was trying to impose her vision on Tara and she seems to be a bit too overbearing.
I think this is the main weakness in this book: I love everything but I struggled to understand Kate even if she’s quite a likable character.
Even if it’s a lighthearted story the author deals with some interesting issues like how tourism can change the soul of a place and life choices and dreams.
It’s a compelling and highly entertaining read, I liked the plot and I like how it ended.
I recommend it.
Many thanks to Bookouture and Netgalley for this ARC, all opinions are mine

Review originally posted on my blog Living Life With Joy. Check it out for ongoing reviews and bookish posts!

A new start in an old place.

Only a few chapters in I could already tell this was going to be a sweet story about the importance of getting back to your roots. You can take the girl out of Ireland but you can't take Ireland out of the girl.

Intriguing story and I loved that there was a bit of mystery threaded throughout. I was looking forward to finding out the missing pieces and thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful imagery that came to mind while reading this book.

Themes, Elements & Notes: Themes of family history and the desire to get back to your roots. Although some areas thrive on tourism, some places are better left undiscovered off the beaten path by the masses to keep hold of the beauty that nature has to offer.

In a Nutshell: Overall I enjoyed the author's writing style; the story was filled with intrigue and beautiful imagery. I'm excited to have found a new go-to author and I'm looking forward to checking out her other books.

Miracles in Wild Rose Bay (Sandy Cove Book 6) by Susanne O'Leary. I dont usually read Romance books but lately I like taking a break from mysteries and reading one. After reading this I will definitely read her earlier books in this series. I was captivated right from the beginning, I love books set in Ireland and the country does lend itself to romance as well as heartache. The descriptions of the Irish countryside and the sea had me picturing it in my mind, which i always find as a good thing.

I found the characters of Kate and Tara to be wonderful as well as the side characters of Cormac and Mick. I liked how the girls were determined to find out why their great grandpa left Sandy cove and Riverside farm. What a great escape on a snow day curled up with hot cocoa and dreaming far off Ireland. It’s left we wanting to know what happens to them next ...

I requested and received an advance reader copy of this book from Bookouture and Netgalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Time to fly to Ireland and to be welcomed by the people of the lovely Sandy Cove where the author has another cracking story in store for us.

In the previous book we saw Kate arriving and … No, I am not going to tell you what happened in case you did not read that one yet. 😉

This time it’s Tara we are ‘stalking’ and see how she deals with all the ups and downs life throws at her.

The author makes me long to visit this part of Ireland once again with her descriptions of the beautiful country side and the sea views. How does not want to fall asleep while the sea sings you a lullaby? Who does not want to be able to run down a few steps to reach a private beach? Who does not want to find The One? I think a lot of us do and I, for sure, am one of them. 😊

A very enjoyable read, just like the rest of the series. 5 stars

When Tara, a travel journalist in New York, is sent to Ireland on an assignment to take pictures for a travel magazine she is delighted as it means she can stay in Sandy Cove with her twin sister Kate and it is the perfect setting for her pictures. Kate is not so sure though....... does Sandy Cove really want to be on the American tourist map! When Tara arrives though she is soon drawn into the Irish community and will the secrets of her family found in the tumbledown farmhouse and the handsome Mick make her reconsider her options?

I love this series of books and it is great to be back in Sandy Cove, another lovely easy read book that draws you in from the first page and adds some brightness to the day

This installment of the Wild Rose Bay series set in Sandy Cove, centers around Dr Kate's twin sister Tara, a photographer who lives in New York.

Tara is offered a job which brings her to Sandy Cove, this puts her at odds with her Sister, and Mick, Dr Pat's Son, who is also home after a disappointment. Tara stumbles across a photo which leads to a farmhouse, which is the start of a mystery involving a family secret.

I really enjoyed reading this book. Which is the final part of the Wild Rose Bay part of the series, the next books are still based in Sandy Cove but not specifically Wild Rose Bay.

The books are best read in order of publication to preserve continuity of the characters and series.

Great author!

This is such an impressive series. Susanne O'Leary is an excellent author and will have you reading her books, one after the other. Start with the first book in the series and read them in order. You will fall even more deeply in love with the Irish and their homeland. The description of the Irish southwest coast is so explicit that you can close your eyes and picture yourself there.
This is Tara' story and the emotional ups and downs you experience with the characters keep you spell bound.
This is a beautiful story in a beautiful location. I highly recommend it!

This is book 6 in the Sandy Cove series. Tara O'Rourke is headed to Ireland to write a story for a magazine. She plans to stay with her sister. Kate is against writing the story, she doesn't want the small town over run with tourist who could ruin the fragile environment. Kate's friend, Mick is also against the project and he holds a secret about Kate and Tara's family. A wonderful love story that stands on it's own that does give updates from previous couples. I received a copy of this ARC in exchange for a fair and honest review.

Miracles in Wild Rose Bay is centered on the relationship between twins, GP, Kate and New York photographer, Tara, the book explores more O’Rourke history as Tara searches for the reasons why their grandfather left the area never to return. The driving force is an old photograph and a farm that has seen better days. Susanne O’Leary paints very descriptive pictures of the area, the farm and her characters. This reader was sad when it ended. I have read several of these books, which is part of a series worth reading.

Tara, twin sister of Kate, is a fashion photographer in New York. Such an exciting life but she misses her sister. Then she is asked to do a series of photos showing the out-of-the-way places in Ireland. She selects the little village where Kate lives, but Kate doesn't like the idea at all. Bringing hordes of visitors to the village would ruin it. A very handsome actor. A downtrodden farmhouse for sale. Belonged to an O'Rourke. History. Lots of history. Wild Rose Bay, Arguments. A large purchase. A baby. A huge restoration. And a beautiful romance.

Adding Susanne O’Leary as one of my favorites!

What a lovely series! Yes I’m one of those people, I had to read the entire 6 books in the Sandy Cove series before reviewing. Reviewing a good book is one thing but Ms O’Leary has managed to hook me with the way she not only connects each novel but without droning on n’ on has given me the vision to close my eyes and see the old roses blooming down the hillside.
Now I’m off to find more from Ms O”Leary to continue my exciting life even if vicariously through her novels.
Enjoy!

Finding love and your ancestor’s home in Ireland is the premise of this book.If your looking for a book that has lovely descriptions of the Irish landscapes and even the disagreements are polite this read is for you. There is a little mystery surrounding this ancestral home and it’s owners but for the most part the book focuses on twin sisters finding happiness and love in a small village in Ireland.

Fantastic Series!!

I just finished reading Starlight Cottages Book 6. There we're so many tender moments and budding love in each book, I would recommend that start with Book 1 and read this series in order.
I loved how as I finished reading one of the books in this series, someone from the previous book was featured with their own love story!
Ms. O'Leary, what a talented author you are and thank you for including your books in the "Kindle Unlimited" membership😍!

completely addicted to these books

In this series of books, the characters have lived life and suffered losses but are trying to move on. The younger men and women are often in their late thirties and have lived big lives in cities but come to a small village in Ireland to heal. There are also older men and women living their life to the fullest in the village with new friends and careers.
The theme for these books is often that the simpler life is better.

Any story that takes place in Ireland, I am entranced! I’ve read all the previous books in the series and have loved them all! Romance, family rifts, histories mysteries - you’ll find them all here! Just delightful - I can now go to sleep as I started and finished this book in one day! Loved it!

This was a continuation of a book that I read a couple of months ago. Love the story and characters. This author is very descriptive and has well defined characters. Every word written needs to be there and when you are finished, you will want to book a vacation to this area of Ireland, just to see the scenery. Enjoy!
