I really liked this little booklet. November is coming up and I'm in a writing mood again! This little ebook had some good advice. & it was free. Hard to beat that. :)
Although the book also speaks to seasoned authors participating in NaNoWriMo (and gives legitimate reasons for why they should), I feel it’s greatest value is to those just starting out. For someone who has never written a novel, NaNoWriMo can be exciting, but also intimidating. Going in without preplanning and realistic expectations for the 30 days ahead can be a recipe for disaster.
This books delivers practical advice, addresses common issues, and provides context. It didn’t do the sudden drop of I’ve seen with books about this topic before. There was a what next section which presented options for moving forward weather or not someone’s draft was complete.
This short book barely touches on NaNoWriMo at all. It's a collection of vague tips on how to write a novel quickly, and assumes the reader has never tried to write a book before. It's a very short read, but the last third of the book is just ads for other things the author has written. Not much to see here.
Short and to the point. How to prepare, what you will face. This book doesn't waste your time but give several precise and effective insights into nanowrimo. I really enjoyed it.
