A little dated, but much of the career is still the same after 10 years. A nice, brief overview of career paths and what to do to get there. It's good if you just need a refresher.

This book was... fine. I mean, it's outdated, but that's not its fault. It offers tons of ressources, but again, it's pretty outdated(I bet half the links don't work anymore). The information world moves fast.

Otherwise, the book is fine. Nothing new or special if you've read other books on the topic. I skimmed a lot because I knew a lot of the information.

Kind of dry, but it's not the most exciting subject matter.

If you're looking for information about careers in the Library and Information Science world I recommend looking for something more recent.

Thorough overview. Advice about how to get into the field is probably outdated.

Divided into roughly two sections. First, information about library and information science - history, etc. - appropriate for people considering pursuing a career in in the field. Secondly, an annotated directory of resources for job-seekers. While this section is helpful, portions of it are a bit dated, which does limit its usefulness.

The first half would be good for someone looking for more information before pursuing a career or degree in library science. The second half would be good for someone looking to network or buff up his or her resume.
