Lisa has a plan.

She spent weeks in the prison camp earning the trust of the guards so that she could create an opportunity to escape. The aliens ruined everything. When they raided the camp, capturing all of the women, Lisa saw her soon to be escape tumbling away as they left the planet.

Even though the aliens claim that they are honored guests, Lisa knows that it is just another word for unwilling captives.

Lisa has a new plan.

Learn to fly, steal a ship - escape.

With a hulking beast of an alien tracking her every step, Lisa thinks she is going to have to put her wiles to work to create another opportunity. He claims she is his and she thinks he’ll be an easy mark out of this joint.

Can Lisa get away?

Does she even want to?

Disclaimer: This novelette has a LOT of adult language, steamy knotty romance, boundary exploration, and a healthy dose of consent, communication, and respect.

If you are offended by scheming women, alien physiology, or everyone screaming yes repeatedly, well maybe you should read this little story and get over that.

I'm just a lady with a foul mouth who really likes writing titillating stories about characters who go through experiences we don't have here on earth.

I like tea.

Yoga is life, meditation is therapy, and a birdfeeder right outside the window is the meaning to life, the universe, and everything.

I've been enjoying this series of shorts/novellas, but this one got me miffed. Lisa, the h, is so worried about getting used or not having her feelings taken into account by the aliens, that she becomes the user. She didn't think even once about Riddick's feelings and how desperately he wanted a mate and how earnestly he wanted to please her. She wanted to pat herself on the back for not saying he raped her (he didn't by the way) so that he would be killed and out of her way...yeah, you're the good one here, beotch. I couldn't stand Lisa and her actions through the whole book. It wasn't until the last couple pages that she was like 'oh well, you've been so sweet to me, giving me everything I've asked for, I guess I won't kill you, but stay mated after all'. My hating her affected my enjoyment of this book, I actually liked Riddick, hence the rating.

Best laid plans...

Lisa is a woman with a plan, and Hell hath no fury like a woman whose plan is ruined by Aliens who may or may not have come to rescue her -- only time will tell if these guys are actually good, after all.

Riddick has no clue, initially, why they've undertaken this mission, but the moment he understands its importance he can't help seeing Lisa in a different light.

I love that the Shek, as a species, are proving to be the kind of knight in shining armor you can't help but hope would rescue you. They may be rough around the edges, but they've got that chivalrous nature, and heroic streak that makes each of these stories a delight to read.

This story is a done in one Kindle unlimited quick read, it stands alone nicely, but as part of the series does a great job of contributing to our understanding, helping pieces fall into place... Each story feels like an episode of a tv show, and I'm really enjoying each one, on its own merits, and as part of the whole.

Finally!

Finally an author who knows that consent is sexy! No sexist bull#@$% here! I'm pretty numb to the casual sexism exhibited towards males in romance books these days, but it just such a relief to read something where both parties are fully consenting and communicate clearly. Its like a darn miracle these days to find that. Wonderful! The downside is these short stories are SHORT. 15 minutes and its all over! Very sad. I'm going to see if this author has any full length books right now!

I'm ADDICTED 😁

Once again, it's just too much to review each book 😉. This series is just wonderful though and well worth the time to read it 😃. I'm glad I have Kindle Unlimited though, cuz it would cost Way too much to buy all these stories and they are soooo addictive 😋. Thanks again Deiri, YES, I will keep on reading them 🤓.

I'm still addicted to this fast-paced series!

They're like M & M's to me, I can't stop at one! The author is making it so easy to get caught up in this fun and sexy alien series that this is literally all I am reading right now, and I normally switch it up and piggyback books. I just can't seem to get enough of these fast and sexy novellas!

Staying

It was a short quick read but it was fun. Lisa was one smart woman and knows that what she found is gold and there is no reason to leave.
