I just don’t know why I keep reading these. So little ever seems to happen in each new one and honestly some of the choices the characters have been making just seem pointless and stupid. Much like a lot of the characters themselves, come to think of it.
I wish I could say I won’t read the next one but I probably will. They’re cheap and I always have some hope they’ll just resolve everything in some satisfying way.
I have low expectations and that’s the best I can hope for.
These books are a fun, cute, zany distraction from the stupid real world. I love it!
We join Maggie and Killian as they are really still hiding/on the run from the evil elf queen. It can't last forever, and luckily we get some solid resolution here (or at least a big step in the right direction). How? Well, it involves a tiki bar, lots of threats, Killian's sort-of girlfriend, and a convention. Fun, right? There are a bunch of familiar faces (some for no reason other than a smile or a laugh) and lots of mayhem.
This book is probably better sold as a turning point as I think we closed the chapter on some stuff while starting a new one with even bigger consequences. I think that this is a quick enough read to be required for fans of the series, with enough outcomes to reward the die hard "read all the books" people.
This series is such a fun, zany escape, and this book really felt like a turning point. Maggie and Killian are still on the run from the elf queen, but we finally get some real movement toward a resolution. The whole setup is classic chaos (tiki bar, threats, a convention, and a bunch of familiar faces popping in). It’s fast, funny, and full of mayhem, but it also closes a chapter while opening a new one with bigger consequences. I liked that it actually rewards you for following the series in order, because things finally shift in a meaningful way. Overall, it’s a must-read installment for fans and it made me even more excited for what comes next.
Awesome story if Maggie and Killian who have resorted to hiring out for money and in the run from the Shadow Elves. Such an interesting story where some characters get a new life and others help out in ways never expected them to help. Maggie is going to be a hero of sort and save the world but you will find with the plot twists and so many surprises that you will not want to put the book down. Keep in mind that Maggie’s twin is going to have a baby soon and Maggie is suppose to give the shower while running and helping to hide Killian. Oh do not forget the world saving. The book is excellent and the story moves along and will hold your interest!
Love this series usually however as a New Zealander found the cultural appropriation totally cringe worthy and totally insensitive. It was a weird mash up of South Pacific culture with some random Hawaiian things added then called Maori without properly fact checking. Felt like the author just googled some stuff and threw it in not knowing the differences between Pasifika, Hawaiian and Maori culture😤 I won't be reading anything more from this author 😠
Wonky, wacky, and truly wonderful! Such a fun adventure these books are. Filled with the most entertaining characters and laugh out loud moments. If you need to escape for a few hours this book is a Must!!
Kate Danley has a way of combining humor and action like no one else. This book is the perfect escape from reality. It has action, adventure, and laugh out loud moments. The banter between the characters is hilarious.
Moons over my Maggie. I had stopped reading magical tracker but decided I would read this one. I was please with the story. Still would love to see Maggie with her elf became a couple. Looking forward to book 12
So happy when a new Maggie and Killian book comes out! I love reading about the continuing adventures of the world walker and the elf. Thank you, Kate, for continuing to bring these magical characters to life!
Another fun ride with Maggie & Killian. World walker Maggie & her side kick Killian join forces with an alligator shark. Can they Dave the world again?...
Getting juicy and I think I’m getting hints of Killian more than just liking Maggie. I like how everything hit the fan but it wasn’t just magically solved.
