About the author

Terry M. West is an American horror author. His best known works: What Price Gory, Car Nex, Dreg and his Night Things series. He was a finalist for 2 International Horror Guild Awards and he was featured on the TV Guide Sci-Fi hot list for his YA graphic novel series, Confessions of a Teenage Vampire. Terry was born in Texas, lived in New York for two decades and he currently hangs his hat in California.

This book was about young Dr. Frankenstein who wanted to bring something to life, so he created a monster. When the monster woke up, the doctor rejected it. The monster was heartbroken, and he asked the doctor to create a wife for him. Dr. Frankenstein refused, so the monster hunted him down and got revenge.

I liked this book because it showed lots of blood and brains. The comic version was easy to read because of all the side notes. I think that students who enjoy horror movies would like this book.

This book tells the classic story of Frankenstein in a new way. Using illustrations and dialog through a comic book style to tell of a young Dr. who wanted to create life but it went horribly wrong and now his gives his life to the mission of finding and destroying the monster he created.

This story was a fun read because it was so simple and could be completed in one sitting. It gave the gist of the story but I feel it is not as satisfying because it is not as deep.
