Not Just My Heart
Six years ago, I’d made the stupidest mistake of my life.
I’d told Lacey Kendrick, I wanted to break up.
So she’d kicked me out her car, told me to move my stuff out her flat and blocked me on her phone.

Second chance romance at its best, there's witty lines, cuteness, humour and HEAT!
When your best friends decide to get married and tell you the best man is gonna be your old flame, it's not perfect especially when you're the maid of honour.
The sexual tension between Rory and Lacey is very evident and omg when they do go there again it's sexual gymnastics, very hot!
There is so much PASSION, but I loved how the tenderness crept back in without them planning it.
I cared about both of the characters and understood Lacey's reservations, but she couldn't really resist Rory with his equipment and skills. They were made for each other.
The setting is Scotland, and I have to admit I love books set in Scotland - its a beautiful place. The main characters are obviously Rory and Lacey, but there's also their best friends and Jonas, he is Lacey's brother and his a great character and plays his part in the story, along with his parents.
This is a steamy romance, they really couldn't keep their hands off one another but there's a lot more to the story.

Love this book, a heartwarming second chance romance.
Set in an absolutely amazing area, the characters are great to follow as they attempt to reconnect after years apart. Have they natured enough to get over the past.....

Sexy and heartfelt
I loved this latest release by Em Taylor. This second chance romance is a heartfelt read with oodles of heat. It Is a story about finding yourself and your soulmate but also a tale of the importance of friends and family. Lacey and Rory have a lot of baggage to sort out and I enjoyed how they resolved their personal challenges and those they had as a couple, before they could contemplate their HEA.
The read, which is set in Scotland, contains some extremely sexy adult themes plus emotional and sometimes humorous scenes and dialogue. The couple’s physical chemistry is assured but Rory soon realises just how hard he broke Lacey’s heart with his abrupt departure from her life six year’s previously. He knows he will have an uphill struggle to win over the girl he so carelessly discarded but what he doesn’t initially realise is that his actions had ramifications which went far beyond Lacey… Can he put things right and can he win the girl?
Lacey and Rory are meant to be together and I was rooting for them throughout. Yes, Rory had been a jerk in the past and I loved that he admitted it and tried to make things right – I adored the scenes where he tried his utmost to do this! Lacey is no pushover though and I loved her sass and potty mouth. This fun and emotional read has some great secondary characters too, who all partake in the general mayhem of Lacey and Rory’s getting back together - Lacey’s brother was a particular favourite.

This is a drama filled storyline. It has all kinds of ups and downs in this second chance romance. The stage is set in Scotland (eek on my bucket list to visit) and it has the slang to go along with it. Even if I wasn’t familiar with a word, I still loved it. Hee hee.
Lacey and Rory have a bit of a messy, heartbreaking past. Rory made the mistake of being young and dumb, breaking not only Lacey’s heart but her family’s as well. Yikes.
I actually wind up loving Rory. For the the first part of the story, he owned up to his mistakes. I love that he is a teacher. I was a little ticked when he asked why Lacey didn’t fight for him. WHAT?! Yes I realize he had childhood trauma but don’t insinuate it was on her.

This was a good book. I liked how it went back to the past and showed glimpses of Lacey and Rory's life. And I know that us women do stupid things when it comes to men and Rory was really trying to win her back. But I really thought she just gave in way to easily after the time that had elapsed. And I know they used the excuse they were young at the time of the break-up but your not now. Overall tho I did enjoy the book and it had a good feeling to it. And shows that love can prevail. I would recommend it for sure.

This is Rory and Lacey’s story and they were soulmates until Rory walked away leaving a heartbroken Lacey behind. Now 6-years later they meet up again, and the chemistry is still sizzling, but Lacey is no pushover, she is going to make Rory work for her forgiveness and challenges him at every turn. Can Rory convince Lacey to take a 2nd chance of them having a relationship? This is a beautifully written tale which is an emotional roller coaster throughout, as well as a heartfelt poignant love story, which is filled with heartbreak, witty banter, and is a fun, steamy, and humorous story. This talented author has done an amazing job in penning this tale, and I highly recommend for all readers.

Very good romantic read. The author gave us a great second chance storyline that is full of heat. Rory and Lacey were young lovers for years, sharing a lot of firsts. Everyone thought they would be together for life. But Rory made the biggest mistake of his life and let her go. Being young and stupid he “thought” he wanted the single life he never had. It’s now 6 years later, he’s a teacher and Lacey is a vet. Both have moved on or so they think. But when they accidentally run into each other at a local bar, old sparks fly. But Lacey has no desire to relive all the heartbreak that comes with Rory. But Rory is determined to win her back.
This is a great story about 2nd chances, family, friends and romance. I highly recommend it.

I loved writing this book. It was initially inspired by a song and I ran with the original premise of the song and made it into a second chance romance. It's one of my favourite tropes.

This was my first read by this author but it drew me in due to the fact its set in Scotland and im Scottish so I was intrigued to see what it was like.
I can officially say I read this book in one day... practically in one sitting actually as its an easy to fall into story and kept me flipping those pages with all the passion and hilarity that was Rory and Lacey!!
Set as a second chance romance the story gives you a background of these guys before it all went wrong and when they meet again... and its not all plain sailing thats for sure.
Love the relationship not only between Lacey and Rory but between their friends and between Lacey and Jonah too! Nothing better than banter/laughter between close friends.
I would definitely recommend this book to others.. its fab..its fun and its full of heat.

One of those stories that draws you in and keeps you there. you're laughing and crying at what goes on. rooting for a HEA, wondering if you'll get it.

A great read!
I loved this story of Rory and Lacey, they are each other's soulmates until Rory walks away. Fast forward 6 years when they meet again through mutual friends and needless to say it does not go smoothly.
Since their best friends are getting married they decide to get along for the wedding. Of course the chemistry is still heavy between them, but Lacey is protecting her heart this time around.
This book is well written second chance story that was funny and emotional. Thanks to my both my parents being from Glasgow I loved the city references and the slag!

Great second chance romance set in Scotland. Rory and Lacey were made for each other but only time will tell if they can get over the hurt and find their way back to each other.
