Just when he thought finding a wife was out of his reach…
Colton “Cole” Eubanks is laser-focused on building wealth and settling down with a special woman before he turns forty. Accomplishing one out of two isn’t bad. Unfortunately, there’s no ‘love of his life’ on the horizon, unless he counts the one woman who’s been starring in his nightly dreams—Malaya Radcliff.
After being dependent on other people for years, Malaya has finally learned to stand on her own. There’s only one thing she hasn’t been able to accomplish—gain full custody of her daughter. Her ex-husband never fights fair. His wealth always wins. This time Malaya’s determined to come out on top.
So when Cole, the man she’s been secretly in lust with for over a year, makes her an offer she’d be crazy to refuse, Malaya wants to say yes. But that means sacrificing her newfound independence. Yet, his enticing proposal has her thinking—why not?

Um, usually marriage of convenience stories are not really my thing, but I still finished this story. I honestly didn't hate the book, but I've read better stories by Ms. Cooper before. She's actually one of my many favorites. Malaya has always been dependent of others. From her parents to her ex-husband. But now that she was alone, she was getting her life back together, by learning to be independent to take care of her daughter. Her ex-husband has been such an dick, keeping their daughter away from her. She decides to take him to court. But, before she can do so, she needs a better job and a better place to say. So here comes Cole who's always had it bad for her with a "proposal" that can help her. They would get married and she'd move into his nice place and he'd help her get a job. Except, it wouldn't be a marriage of convenience for Cole. Although Malaya also has it bad for Cole, she refused at first, but then gave in.... I was disappointed when the author didn't take us to court for the custody battle. We just got an update towards the end. But I digress. Overall, not a bad read. Cole was really good to her and he definitely showed her. The story kept my attention the entire time and the chapters weren't too long. So, give it a try!!

Malaya’s life is tough. When her ex-husband threw her out of the house, she was left with nothing, not even custody of her daughter. Now Malaya is working two jobs and going to school so she can improve her chances of getting her daughter back. She is a strong woman who is determined to make her life better through her own efforts. She never wants to depend on someone else for her livelihood. Malaya works in the bar owned by Cole and his sister Dani. Cole is very attracted to Malaya and thinks she might be the one for him, but Malaya keeps shooting him down. Cole is a perfect match for Malaya. He accepts and appreciates her independence and desire to make her life better. He wants to help her but does not want to take over. Despite their attraction, the love story is slow burn. The sex is hot when they get there. The story ends in a very sweet epilogue. I recommend this book to anyone who likes somewhat angsty romances.
Story: 5/5 Heat level: 4/5 POV: third person Heroine: Malaya Radcliff Hero: Cole Eubanks Cole Eubanks has built his business. Now he’s ready to settle down with Malaya. Malaya Radcliff is working and going to college. She wants to get settled so she can get custody of her daughter. Her rich ex-husband has custody, and she has visitation. When Cole offers marriage, Malaya would like to marry Cole, but she isn’t ready to be dependent on another rich man who might treat her horribly like her ex-husband.
Cole Eubanks was at the age where he wanted a wife and family. Different, right? In this story, we got a new twist with the guy seeking love and a family, rather than running away. That intrigued me. Cole and his sister Dani, and let me say, you will love her- anyway- Dani and Cole owned a bar, and her friend Malaya worked for them. Cole liked Malaya and wanted to help her any way he could. Because her ex Troy was a super jerk and a turd, Malaya would need extraordinary patience to deal with him. See, Troy had custody of their daughter. You will learn why Cole set out to help his friend have access to her daughter. Although his plan started with good intentions, the outcome was perfectly executed. Cole showed Malaya he could be an irresistible man and an even better husband.
This is my last one in the Irresistible Husband Series. Cole and Malaya’s story was my favorite. Cole saw what he wanted and went for it. Malaya had trust issues but couldn’t resist Cole. Friends to lovers to a HEA. Great job Sharon.
Malaya is finally pulling her life together – she is back at school and working 2 part time jobs to make ends meet. She is doing well in school but things aren’t progressing as fast as she would like. She needs to graduate, get a full-time job and a new place to live before she can petition for custody of her daughter. Her ex is a real piece of work. Colton would love to help Malaya out but she is determined to do this on her own after having depended on so many people earlier in her life. It is an interesting twist on how things work out and a nice story.
So much Sharon fun reading this feel-good experience of friendship that led to a true unforgettable devoted love affair full of respect, a marriage and beautiful blended family warmed my heart - I read it twice and wanted more of Cole's and Malaya's story with along with cute wisdom words of lil' Destiny. I enjoyed their entire journey to happiness & both finally having it all. Nice touch how you tied the Alanta's Finest into the story, too - definitely have to reread that fabulous series again!!!

I love the way Cole fought for his relationship with Malaya and she started to do the same. I though Cole's sister was welcome with this story and becoming the best Auntie ever. Overall a wonderful story and will recommend the book to my friends.
This isn’t a bad marriage of convenience story by Sharon Cooper. I didn’t hate it but I didn’t love it either. Cole Eubanks secret has a crush on Malaya Radcliff and she didn’t giving him any play. She’s been in a marriage from hell with her ex-husband Todd and she vowed to never become dependent on another man. Custody arguments with her ex leads to a marriage of convenience with Cole. This story has so much potential. It’s sweet, soft and very low angst. But what my biggest issue with this story is that because of its quick pacing, it lacks details. I needed a conversation to happen with Malaya, Cole and Todd after the scene that happened in the house. Miraculously Todd got his act together and we weren’t privy to that change at all Also, I wanted more development in the relationship of Malaya and Cole before they got marriage. The relationship just seemed thrown together. Overall, I’m not mad at the story because even though I wasn’t what I expected, the fact that Cole is a true Cinnamon Roll hero gave it more points in my book
Cole and Malaya's story was filled with excitement and drama from her ex- husband. Once Cole asked his dad how did he know his mom was the one he told him when he met her he would know. Cole had asked Malaya out numerous times and she repeatedly told him no. She wanted to be able to stand on her own after she got a divorce from her ex. She did not want to be dependent on anyone for her and her daughter. When Cole proposed she said no. Cole was determined by any means necessary. Malaya didn't want her heart broken again and only had one example of what a committed relationship looked like albeit the wrong one. Cole had an example of truly what love looked like and wanted that with Malaya and her only. Bringing these two people together was exciting to witness. Excellent work by Sharon C. Cooper. She does not disappoint🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟!!!!
Cole and Malaya...What a journey!! I loved this book from the beginning throughout the end! There were a lot of ups and downs, particularly with Malaya, but through it all, Cole was there to support her. We should all be so blessed to have a “Cole” in our lives! This was the last book for me in this series, and I must say, You Three Ladies Rock!! Sharon, you did an amazing job with this story! If anyone has not read this series, go grab your copy of each book and enjoy the ride throughout this series! Kudos, Sharon!! 💜
Malaya was originally dealt a bad hand. Having to get over a failured marriage and subsequently allowing herself to not only love but trust again was key. Enters Cole who is every bit of the supportive, strong, faithful man that one desires when they take a chance at love.
We are taken on a journey of trials and tribulations and what it looks like to be vulnerable effort to allow your heart ❤ to love again.
Watch how Cole's pursuit of Malaya unfold into something beautiful and inspiring.
Good read. Basically, Malaya was a single divorcée whose ex was horribly to her and kept her daughter away from her. Cole was a great friend who wanted more than a friendship with her. Malaya was so caught up with how she was treated by her ex that she almost let a good man pass her by. Cole showed her how a husband was supposed to treat his wife which caused her and her daughter to fall in love with him. Absolutely loved their relationship. Well written and flowed well. I also liked the character development of Malaya.
Cole and Malaya realized that people get married for all types of reasons and that there's not a time-line for when people fall in love. Todd was so despicable to Malaya especially by not letting her spend time with Destiny. Todd made a grave mistake towards Malaya and Destiny in front of Cole and Cole shut him down quickly. I'm glad that everything worked out for them in the end.
Loved Cole and Malaya’s love journey. I liked the flow of the story. The side characters did their part to add to the development of the hero and heroine. Malaya’s reluctance and Coke’s determination was a great mix. The tie in to Ms Cooper’s Atlanta’s Finest series was a pleasant surprise. I have enjoyed this series. DO ME (Sheryl Lister), LOVE ME (Delaney Diamond) and SHOW ME are entertaining, enjoyable, and captivating reads. I recommend them.
Cole was attracted to Malaya and knew he wanted her in his life. Malaya was also attracted to Cole but pushed him away because of her past. Show Me was another Sharon Cooper hit in her usual style she penned a sweet and romantic love story. Cole, Malaya, and Destiny all got the family that they wanted and deserved. I recommend this book to everyone. Looking forward to reading the other two stories in this series.
Cole and Malaya a great couple together. I am now hooked on romance and a little action of jealously from the ex! It makes the story move along on who will be the true love and who will regret being the loser! In this story the ex husband was the loser and I think he found out too late! Cole had won the prize even though they started out as friends, true love won out! I am glad this is a story in a series. On to book two! There are other great authors in the series!
Sharon has done it again ! So nicely written as always. A lot of us wish we had a Cole in our lives. Since some of us don't it's nice to read about it. The compassion and sincerity in his heart was so refreshing. The ending took me by surprise though. I'm glad it worked out with a happy ever after! Great job Sharon! Keep'em coming my friend. 🤗
I loved this book! Cole and Malaya has great chemistry. Malaya went through a lot with her controlling ex but I'm so glad she opened up to Cole and was open to love again. Cole was determined to win her over and he did. They make a great couple. Can't wait to read the other books in the series. 🙂🙂
Sharon C Cooper has a way of writing stories that tear at your heart strings. Cole and Malaya’s story was so heart felt. Throw a child in the mist and it gets even more heartwarming. Their journey together while finding out their love for one another was so sweet. Kudos to Mrs. Cooper on another amazing story.
Love their story. Love that she is working to turn her life around after a bad 1st marriage and some bad decisions. I like that Laya still believes in love after her jerk of an ex. Cole is the guy everyone woman would love. He fine, fit and treats his woman like the queen she is. Great story to read.
Cole was everything Malaysia wanted and needed although she fought the attraction. I enjoyed this story as well as the series. The men all had good examples of what it meant to be a husband and father.
This was an excellent read! Cole and Malaya are friends and while she wants the exert her independence, he just wants to make her life easier. Throw in a great child, Destiny, and you have the makings of a great read.
It's been awhile since I've read a book that is not I/R. I'm glad to say that this is a great book to come back to. Loved the characters and the chemistry of all involved. I would like to read more about Todd's side of the story.
Her books are interesting from cover to cover. Characters are so unexpectedly down to earth. Plot lines are not cookie cutter. I love how it's not the typical romance--they find each other then something years then apart. This book was just 100% real love.
Loved how Sharon Cooper developed the characters. I fell in love with Cole and loved how he protected his family. Would have loved if the book was ten more chapters, thats how engaging it was.
My first read in the Irresistible Husband series, Colton and Malaya story really touched my heart. The determination they both shared made them powerful together or separately. A quick dynamic read.
I enjoyed reading Show Me so much! I couldn't put my Kindle down. I enjoyed the storyline so much! Malaya went through so much but Cole was the man for her. Fantastic book!
Cole’s sister was right....he was selfish however when it came to Malaya he was her protector. But she was not trying to be bothered even though she wanted him.
I couldn’t put it down! Just a great page turner! Great work as usual Sharon Cooper!
