Untouchable #6

Brazen and Breathless

Rate this book
It’s a new year.

It’s a new me.

Or maybe I should say a new us.

We’re out there. We’re not hiding the fact that I’m dating all of them. PDAs are back on the table. The final semester of high school kicks off with a bang. I have to keep my eye on the prize though—make every AP class count, keep my grades up, and find a way to balance life with my guys. My best friends. My boyfriends. My lovers.

The battle with Maddy is still on the table. So is figuring out our future. It’s one thing to say we’re sticking together, now we have to make it happen.

I never thought it would be easy.

Apparently, we don’t do easy.

But am I ready for this?

All I know is I’m not giving them up without a fight.
Ninety some odd days to go, and we graduate.

We can do it, right?

*Please note this is a reverse harem and the author suggests you always read the forward in her books. Contains some bullying elements, mature situations, and is recommended for 17+. This is the sixth in a series and the story will continue through future books.

I love books. Not just a little bit, but a lot. Books were my best friends when I was growing up. Books didn’t care if I was new to a town or to a class. They were always there, my trustiest of companions. Until they turned on me and said I had to write them.

I can tell you that my own personal happily ever after included writing books. I’ve always said that an HEA is a work in progress. It’s true in my marriage, my friendships, and in my career. I am constantly nurturing my muse as we dive into new tales, new tropes, new characters and more.

After seventeen years back in Texas, we relocated to the Pacific Northwest in search of seasons, new experiences, and new geography. I can’t wait to discover what life (and my muse) have in store for me.

Maybe writing was always my destiny and romance my fate. After all, my grandmother wasn’t a fan of picture books and used to read me her Harlequin Romance novels.

Friends to lovers, enemies to lovers, friends to enemies to lovers, you name it, I love them and love to write them. I started with Earth Witches Aren’t Easy, the first in the Chance Monroe trilogy, but my characters and I have traveled a long way since I created that urban fantasy world.

One of the series I hear my readers recommend the most is the Untouchable series followed in quick succession by the Vandals, and that just delights me. No lie, whenever one of my readers brings up my wolves, I do a little a fist pump.

I’m active on social media, and I love hearing from readers. Feel free to tag me with a question about any of my books, or just say hi!

Every time I get to jump back into Frankie and the boys story, I get so excited. I have absolutely come to love and enjoy these characters especially learning about their daily lives. This book was fabulous and what I love the most about it and this series is the timeline and detail of the relationships Frankie has with the boys. Most books are written about a year time span or more. Each book in this series covers Only about a month or two at the most of Frankie’s life. It’s this detail that gets you to know and understand these characters so well.

Frankie in this book really showed such amazing growth. She’s really starting to come out of her shell and blossom into this wonderful person who is finally starting to accept herself more and more each day. I also loved that she took time to really check in with Rachel. She sometimes gets so caught up in her life and the boys lives she doesn’t give Rachel the time or consideration she deserves. In this book though, Frankie completely rectified that.

Ian really made a comeback for me in this book. I hold a grudge for life but after this book my grudge is completely gone from Ian. I love him now. But Coop has really become a favorite of mine. Don’t get me wrong I absolutely love all the characters in this series but Coop just does something for me. His quiet and calm strength with his goofiness is just so sigh worthy for me.

This book though WOW. We learned so freaking much and the ending completely blew my mind. I will say once I read it, it made perfect sense and I just love how Heather is interweaving the plot and characters but also giving us an amazing cliffhanger that has us completely and utterly begging for more. I’m so sucked into the lives of these characters and can’t wait for more.

I read this as an ARC and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

I sit here writing this without knowing what to say? Heather I hate you. That ending broke me.

Frankie and those boys are tribe a family of their own making. Which with each book gets stronger and with new lessons being learnt.

Each of your stories has an underlying resale or lesson in it.

I cannot wait to see how Frankie abs the boys react after that ending.

I devoured this book in just over one day I started it abs out it down where necessary but wouldn’t put it down until I had finished.

This is 5⭐️ reading

Back from the Holidays, Frankie and the Boys have gone public. It's their final semester, so college decisions must be finalized, Frankie's emancipation hearing is coming up, and her internship is starting. She must find a way to balance, school, work, Rachel, the boys, and still find time for herself. She's having the time of her life; if only there were more hours in the day.

After the Holidays I was expecting non-stop drama. Instead I was surprised with the direction of a large portion of this book. Sexy times dominate. Normally, I would be less than thrilled. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy the sexy times, I just don't want it to overtake the story even in a reverse harem when there are so many men to get sexy with. However, I thought it fit perfectly in the arc of their relationships. You know that early stage when you cannot get enough? Love and hormones combine and you can't keep your hands off each other; all night doesn't begin to be enough. That's where Frankie and the Boys are right now. They are in love and they have gone public. They are exploring their desires and kinks. So I was okay with any storyline being interrupted. There was the reappearance of Bad Meatloaf's ingredients. And maybe we need to add Coop's dad as potatoes. Seriously, none of these parents should question their children. Most of them have managed to make a mess of their lives, let the kids find their own way.

There is something so compelling about this series. The characters are all so familiar (and not because this is book 6). It's because they are so relatable, so normal, so likable. Each one is so developed, we know them. We love experiencing their senior year together. The major events and the intimate moments. I have my favorites, Archie and Coop; I'm sure you do too. We all love Rachel. We all love Jeremy. We all hate Maddy. We all agree with Coop when he says, "I'm tired of the whole world trying to hurt you." We all want to throttle Heather with that ending. And we are all dying for Trials and Tiaras.

"I have you. You care about me enough to fight for me, and to work together while we figured all of this out. I have you."

Good Lord, I love Frankie Curtis and these men!

Brazen and Breathless, book six in the Untouchable series was incredible. Absolutely, mind-blowingly, incredible.

Given how profoundly emotional Hangovers and Holidays had been, I opened this book with my heart racing and wondering what would be next for Frankie and her found family. After all, they'd be returning to the real world again, which meant facing down the rest of a senior year filled with mean girls, family drama, uncertain futures, and looming legal battles. Frankie and the guys may have healed and bonded while they solidified their dedication to their relationships and made plans, but would those bonds be strong enough to weather the real world trying to tear them apart?

Frankie has been through so much in her life, much of the worst at the hands of her mother, Maddy, and we see that awful woman back in full force. Maddy is...genuinely a terrible human being, and she has earned her nickname in this book. But instead of cowering, becoming cruel or allowing Maddy to mold her into something she didn't want to be, Frankie Curtis survived and fought back by bettering herself and surrounding herself with people who love and support her fiercely and unconditionally. And this is the book we get to see her in her element; doing exactly that for each of them in return, as well as her best friend Rachel.

These continuing moments of bonding and support, of healing and growth across all aspects of their relationships, turn this book into a beautiful and unrivaled emotional experience. The subtle details woven into their daily lives means there are some bombshell revelations and huge personal victories taking place in the quietest of ways, but when those moments hit you, it is just...breathtaking.

There were moments that left me in tears, and moments I wanted to shout their triumphs to the skies. There were moments so hot I thought my kindle would burst into flames and moments I was so shocked that I wanted to scream. But through it all, not a single one of these characters faced their challenges alone, and it was so beautiful to see the different dynamics and personalities working together to care for one another.

Frankie and Rachel, Coop, Jake, Archie and Ian, truly are some of the most interesting, real, authentic characters I've read, and the depth and growth they show from the first pages of book one to the last pages here, is just staggering.

We've seen Frankie and the gang reveling in joy, laughter and love; honesty and friendship. Now, after a bombshell revelation, Coop said it best, "I'm tired of the whole world trying to hurt you." I've no doubt we'll see every single one of these characters come together in Trials and Tiaras, and stand strong in the face of anything that comes their way and tries to lay them low!

Brazen & Breathless brings Frankie and the guys back home, following their retreat in Colorado and dumping them back in real life.

The core of Long's characters have remained consistent now, and that's one of the solid pieces of writing that helps make this crew one that you can get to know, depend on, and want to come back to. In this particular installment, we're seeing growth as well. Some of them are perking up with new interests or ventures they might explore, and others are solidifying the way they feel about Frankie, their friends being partners in protecting and loving Frankie, and their future. There are no giant surprises in terms of character development, but for me, that's not a problem.

One of the things I like about this series is that now Ian's settled, they're really in this us against the world type of scenario. The strength of their bond is something that I really enjoy, though there's a bit of a bombshell that might just shake the foundation of their relationship because the world isn't content to leave them alone. That being said, the bombshell was not quite a bombshell to me. Perhaps I read too much, but I predicted the big news, and I already have a feeling about how it'll all be resolved. Does it mean we might be heading into a bit more drama in book seven? Oh, most definitely. Do I think that Long is going to break apart Frankie's crew and let the bombshell be something real that will leave someone broken in the end? No, not at all.

In any case, I suppose that's my longwinded way of saying, big sh*t is dropped on the gang, but don't worry. I really believe it'll all be okay.

Overall, I'm still enjoying this series and the characters, and I like that although there's still drama, it's died down a bit since Ian got his head on straight. Earlier in the series, the heaviness was getting a bit much for me, but I think Long's got a strong balance going now that makes the series palatable for a wide range of readers. One thing I will say is that something felt a little weird with the pacing. There were times that it felt slow, like I knew/hoped we were going somewhere but I was paying a lot of attention to how long it was taking. It wasn't a huge detractor, but it was noticeable as part of my reading experience.

THE MOST UNFAIR CLIFFHANGER OF THIS WHOLE SERIES!!! Be warned!!!

Ok ok ok. So. I absolutely LOVE this series. It’s so detailed and the characters are so vivid. Frankie is the best, and the guys are all so magnificent. Everything is also realistic. They all have real struggles and thoughts, and they deal with real world struggles.

I’m not sure how to describe the writing, because it’s all so well done, and it really grows on you. The first book in the series starts out on a day to day basis, and I was wondering where the story was going, but I really wouldn’t change it for anything. The story flows so naturally. In this book in particular, I had speculations about certain things but nothing could have prepared me for the ending because i had already written it off. BUT!!!!

I just want everyone to be happy. Like I said, the boys are all so magnificent, they care for each other and love Frankie so well. They all have really great chemistry, and I feel like it’s rare to find books that have such good characterization. The build up really gives room to develop at a natural pace, like a well written tv show (god i wish this was a tv show!)

But if a particular male character gets his heart broken or hurt because of some things revealed in this book, I will have to fight someone. And take them to a pig farm far far away.

PS the references to Hannaford, Madison Kate and Gilmore Girls made me smile! But let’s be clear, Team Jess forever.

That's So Mean

That really is a mean ending.

Prior to that, Frankie and her guys are having an awesome time. There are still issues. Cool finds out something about his dad that throws him for a loop and his younger sister is giving their mom hell and even attacks Frankie when she thinks she's cheating on Coop. The guy's parents aren't thrilled by the unconventional relationship, but the guys do a pretty good job explaining it and being form that it's what they want. Frankie has some run-ins with her crappy mom and learns her grandparents left her a trust.

There are a lot of sweet and sexy moments sprinkled throughout, too. I'm especially intrigued with Ian and Frankie's exploration and Rachel's experimentation.

That bomb at the end, though... No way that's the truth. I'm hoping he's been lied to. Heather Long wouldn't do that, right?

Okay…my first reaction to the ending is…what the actual?! No…please no. I love these characters, haven’t they been through enough? Hasn’t Frankie? That being said, this is an amazing cliff hanger to end the book with…just promise, it gets better. Please?

Every time I get to jump back into Frankie and the boys story, I get sucked in, I finished this book in a day.  I have come to love and enjoy these characters. All the characters has grown so much throughout the series and I love how Frankie has blossomed into this strong woman.

My favorite is still Ian and Jake.  No rhyme or reason…lol…they just are. But I can’t imagine Frankie being without all of them.  They are a unit and they prove just how much they mean to each other in this book.

I almost jumped out of my skin at the mention of the new series Rachel wants Frankie to read.  The word play was very smart and funny.

"I'm tired of the whole world trying to hurt you." Coop’s words, struck such a cord with me and it’s beautiful. The love they all share is beautiful.  I can’t wait to see where this story goes.

Heather, you rock…even if I don’t like you very much at the moment.

Don't start this book after 10pm, because you will not sleep until you finish it!

I seriously just want to wrap up Frankie and the boys in a duvet, give them ice cream and hot chocolate, and keep them safe from everything around them.

These books have been getting better and better, which is an impressive thing to do on 6 books and counting. I loved the focus on the boys' family lives and their reactions to their unconventional relationship. This is honestly one of the most grounded RH books available!

PS - Rachel is still the best.

So we'll go with this story has so much going on... her mom is there, secrets told, surprise upon surprise and of course the heat - oh boy get a fan! How's that :) Anyhooo be prepared for a cliffhanger like no other but remember what the author says - trust her!

The more I read these books, the more my heart hurts for Frankie. Shes growing stronger personally and in her relationships with the guys, but people keep trying to knock her down. The ending of this book shocked me, even though I had a little feeling it was heading in that direction. I still wasn't prepared for all the twists that were thrown! The one thing I love about this series is all the guys have very distinct and separate personalities. Absolutely love them all!

Now that the relationship between Frankie and the guys is out in the open, they have to deal with her classmates, and the time has also come to loop in their families. Moreover, Archie's dad brings more trouble to Frankie by making a declaration that non of them expected. And that's where the book ends. I hope so much that it is not true. I can't wait to read the next book!

If you haven't read the other books in this series, STOP! You really need to read from the beginning to understand Frankie and her guys.

After the last book I dove into this one looking forward to the new, open and far more confident Frankie. Her relationship with the guys is far more secure and she's not willing to hide it. What they have is special and she's not going to let anyone undermine it or make her feel any guilt about it. She loves them all. I'm very glad they had relaxing vacation time, because just reading this book had me exhausted.

Now the guys are also growing into this role with Frankie. Archie is and always has been a protective rock in this relationship and he's just as stubborn as said rock. Cooper has been her best friend for a very long time, so much so that they can complete each other's thoughts. Now they're so much more. Jake, hmmm Jake, I'm trying to think if he's more protective than Archie. Maybe not more just different and perhaps  just a bit more volatile. After much soul searching Ian is far better than he was originally with this whole sharing thing. There's more about that in this book, but never once has he really doubted what he has with Frankie.

Then there's Rachel, I love this woman, she's the best friend ever! In this book we'll see that friendship become stronger as it becomes more balanced. When I read these two together I laugh a lot and I may have sniffled a bit too. Cooper also contributed to some of those laughs.

They are back to school and I laughed when Frankie realizes she had forgotten about the internship program she signed up for. Cooper was with her and that made it even funnier. The company her internship is with becomes a bit of an issue for the guys, but Frankie really shows her strength and confidence in handling them and the internship.

Some of Frankie's insecurity shows up again when she is waitlisted by Harvard. Some fun references to Gilmore Girls here, along with some fun confessions on the part of the guys.

So many favorite scenes in this book and many were twists that just can't be said in a review.

The mail Cooper has also provided both laughs and a very interesting surprise.

Frankie's internship plays a big part in this book. We see that side of Archie that is, I'm going to say, a take no prisoners business persona with an added punch.

Maddie shows up but thanks to the locks being changed she couldn't just walk in. Frankie handled that well too, and of course the guys rallied around her, even though there was no face to face confrontation. There was only the attempt and texts which Frankie sent to her lawyer and ignored. There's a lot more with Maddy in this book, and I was very proud of Frankie. Did I mention I love her lawyer?

The interactions with the guys are fun, intense and some are downright kindle melting. Other things had me gasping and screaming at my kindle.

Every page is an adventure of sorts and I am very impatiently waiting for the next book in this series.

Why did you read this book?
There are a few series I’ve been wanting to read. This is one of them.

What format did you read this book in?
Read it as an ebook on Kindle.

Is this an educational book or a book for entertainment?
I read this book for pure entertainment purposes.

What genres do you think this book belongs to?
Chick Lit, Contemporary, Fiction, Romance, Young Adult

What was your favorite part in the book? SPOILERS
My favorite part is when Archie punches his dad in the face.

Who would you suggest this book to?
Anyone who likes slow building high school romances.

What is your general opinion/ rating of this book? SPOILERS
Wow, some seriously messed up things were revealed in this book. I knew the MC mom was a terrible person… but she is on a whole other level in this one. (Her mother seems to go after married men.) I was tense when Archies father had the MC intern at their family company. Although, his actions make sense once it’s revealed that he is also her father…. (Which worries me that Archie is blood related to the MC. I really hope that isn’t the case.) I liked how the author wrote about a realistic BDSM group. I appreciated how the group of the communicate their needs and wants. I wonder why the MC trust is all secretive. The bullying wasn’t as bad, but I wish the poor MC could be cut a break. But then again we all know how petty and spiteful teenagers can be. I really want to know what the MC mom is up to. Overall, I really liked this book and it’s a good addition to the series.

Are there any cliché scenes or concepts?
Friends to lovers troupe. Jealous mean girl troupe. Sassy best friend troupe. Bully troupe. Creeper dudes trying to go after MC.

How intense are the intimacy scenes?
The intimacy scenes are vividly detailed. MF. MFM. Voyeurism. BDSM.

At what “burn” level is the romance?
HOT burn.

Love interests, how many of them are there and what gender?
There are four love interest, all of them males, and childhood friend.
Coop, Ian, Jake, and Archie.

Any trigger warnings?
Mental Health: Trivializing Mental Illness, Romanticized Mental Illness, Emotional Abuse, Panic Attacks, Alcoholism, Trauma, Child Abandonment, Non-consent behavior
Sexual Content: Explicit Sex Scene, Incest(?)
Violence and Death: Described Blood, Graphic Violence, Doxing
Other: Slut Shaming, Body Shaming, Female Oppression, Forced Marriage, Underage Drinking, Adultery, Bullying, Profanity

This book and this series are all about the journey of these 5. Frankie, Coop, jake, Archie, Ian. Its about healing and learning to trust. All of them have been through something truamatizing, But i have to say that i was so happy to read in this book was more about solidifying the relationships then all drama and i loved that. They are learning about what makes them tick as a Quintuple.. lol. Frankie and her guys have come so far. I am absolutely in love with the POVs. I just cant even tell you the things that they do when they are not with her and the things the guys talk about are just precious..It truly made it come alive for me and if you dont know what im talking about, you need to read this whole series.

I have to say I still wasnt completely sold on Rachel totally( I was still worried about betrayal) but in this book shes made all the doubt disappear and I am so glad that Frankie has her, we all need a friend like her...

Frankie and her guys have known each other for years. They are best friends and they are now in a relationship but its not all unicorns and rainbows. She has been hurt very bad by the people that never should hurt her. She has a tenuous relationship with her mom and unfortunately i think there is only more bad stuff to come with that as this MASSIVE cliffy will tell you..
The things that they did alone one on one was HOT. Especially with Ian and her.. I loved how excited she got to try new things and I can not wait until I read more of their escapades. He has totally made a comeback and I love to see that hes in it for good..

This book really made me just have all the feels, It really made me see each guy in a stronger light and man do they love that girl. The way that its written is just perfection and that yes they do make mistakes and say stupid stuff but its all about the way in which its said...I was sad to see it end. It had me engaged from start to finish so much so when i turned the page I had no idea I was close to finishing it..this is such a great series and with 10 books planned I was wondering how and what might be a story but i am excited now, i know its going to be great. I cant wait to find out more about that cliffy, her mom, the company and just what the "Legacy" might be as well as what Archie and Jake are hiding....WHO KNOWS? Just have to wait for the next one....

"PDAs are back on the table" I love this line because it says it all. Frankie and the boys are back at school and they aren't hiding their relationship and they aren't putting up with haters. This book sees our favorite characters deepening their relationship and finding a new rhythm coming back from winter break. Living together, adjusting to Frankie's new schedule with an internship with a suprise boss, and being out in the open about their relationship with the school and their families and what that means. I think we'll dig more into the family apsect next book but we start to get into it in this one. On top of that Frankie, Archie, and the rest of the guys are dealing with bad meatloaf on multiple fronts. It's really enjoyable to see Frankie's growth when it comes to dealing with bad meatloaf. Speaking of growth it's really enjoyable to watch the relationship grow. We are in book 6 and I can't get enough of these characters. I laugh with them, I feel their emotion, I love their references. Each book I fall into their world. The characters in the story suck me in. And I've said it before and I'll say it again but I could read about these characters doing anything and that's literally the best. It's a different reading experience when you get lost in a world like that and you get to know characters like that. It's only happen with a few books so when it does its magical. And ofcourse there is so much story here like in every book. But this one has quite the doozy. Prepare yourself because the ending of this book will get you. More than any other ending the series has had so far. Yup more. This ending goes in the history books for me and I'm try to choose the right words. Really affecting ending, for me I was like OMG I need to talk to everyone who's read this book about this moment. And theirs a whole group for this ending, Yup that kind of ending. I really enjoyed reading this book so much, every moment and I cannot wait for the next book. As always 6/5 stars.

Brazen and Breathless (Untouchable Book 6) Kindle Edition

by Heather Long

Thank you to the author for the complimentary reviewer's copy. I am choosing to leave a fair an honest review.
The Untouchable series is a Reverse Harem Romance. This means the heroin is dating three or more men and will not have to choose between them.
This is not a stand-alone. If you are interested in this book, start with book one.
Okay, even though I saw the cliff-hanger coming, I still did the “OMG, YOU'RE KIDDING!” cry. Of course, the heavy VC Andrews vibe and breadcrumbs were delicious.
The characters are well-balanced. Frankie's guys, Coop, Ian, Jake and Archie, are each different enough to be separate individuals but similar enough that it is clear how one, very lucky, young woman is attracted to and deeply loved by the four of them. Frankie is control freak, but that makes sense. As she and her guys begin to explore their various and varied emerging kinks, the five of them are far more advanced and self-aware than most forty-year-olds I know. They are able to verbalize their feelings in a realistic way. We also see the growth that has occurred in all of them, and we also see their parents taking an interest.
The love scenes go from fun and light to kinky and dark. All of them left me breathless. Ms. Long knows when to stop and when to not stop.
Which brings us back to the single best moment I've had while reading in a while – that astonishing, shocking and wild KAPOW of the cliff-hanger. If nothing else, read this book to see how a master of her craft manipulates the reader with just enough breadcrumbs to keep the reader tearing through the book, promising 'just another chapter' long until the wee light of dawn.
Very readable, thrilling, sexy and that KAPOW!

5 stars out of 5

This is the 6th book in the Untouchable series and they definitely have to be read in order. A lot of times when you get this far into a series things start to drag a little bit. When you start a series off with as much drama and action as Frankie and the boys have had, how can each new book live up to the ones that came before? Because Heather is an amazing author, that's how. Even though I kinda hate her right now for that ending she gave us, but we will get to that in a minute.

The last book in the series the gang got a bit of a break. Now some of you didn't really like that b/c you need the drama in your life. I however, thought it was great and loved them being able to just relax and work on their relationships. Especially with all the crap they are getting in this book. Now that's not saying this book is full of drama all the way through. We still have plenty of relationship building. Some bow chicka wow wow. Things are really starting to get interesting in the bedtime department. And of course our best friend Rachel gets her time in this book too. The drama that we do have though, it's BIG. There are things coming out in this book that are just jaw dropping to the max.

Now let's talk about this ending. I may need some serious therapy after that. I have to believe that Heather will make it all right in the end. I have a feeling things might get really...intense? before then. I'm not sure what word to even use. The fallout from that ending could go so many ways. I'm so mad at Heather for leaving us right there. So hopefully she won't make us wait too long.

This is still one of my favorite series. These characters are just so real and relatable. They are the kind you carry with you all the time. The kind that suck you in and make you feel their emotions right along with them. Kudos to Heather for another outstanding book in this series.

OH MY GOD. THAT ENDING. Let me breathe. Honestly I kind of saw it coming but I really didn't believe we would go down that path but looks like we are and I cannot wait for the next book. Honestly if you are new and seeing how this story is going before starting the series I am gonna say just go and start reading the series now. And if you are already caught up with all the books before this then dive right in.

I am literally taking deep breaths to calm myself down while typing this. About this book wow I mean wow shit got very real here, as in tough situations came up. Things were placed in a certain which were definitely foreshadowing tough journey ahead and some hard revelations came up too. I feel I completely agree with the author. Relationships are a work in progress always and going through tough situations will all likely make it all worth it in the end. Honestly I related to that statement so much about how relationships cant be always about rainbows and flowers but then you need to be a team and make sure you are at the same side to tackle a problem which comes up rather on opposite sides. There was also one point where we see these characters discussing about their colleges and well we all know how much college is important to Frankie. So I liked how that conversation went in the book, its like things cant always be fair in a relationship, you need to make effort, work it out with the other person. The boys were really great this book. I loved how we got to see Frankie as a friend to Rachel in this book, got to explore her character more and how she's part of the family too and the boys accept that. Man Proud of Frankie for giving it to Maddy. It was hard but she did it. Overall I just really liked this book.

ps I was listening to willow by taylor swift between reading this book and it made the experience tmore awesome haha!

Brazen and Breathless left me speechless. I have so many thoughts and feelings it's hard to know where to start. I guess I should start by saying I FLOVED it and yet, that somehow doesn't seem adequate enough.

Frankie, her guys, and Rachel are some of my all time favorite characters. There is something so real and down to earth about them. They worm their way into your heart and stick with you. Heather Long does such a fantastic job writing them in a way that is realistic and refreshing. Their lives are messy but yet somehow it's a beautiful thing to watch unfold. This book further cements my love for them. I am blown away with the intricacy in which Heather Long writes. Sometimes it's the small, quiet moments that have the biggest impact.

Brazen and Breathless had me laughing, crying, squealing, angry, and left me shocked! It was glorious. The book was hot- let me just say that Chapter 13 is the new 10. But beyond the amazing steam I LOVE LOVE LOVE how they are exploring their kinks together. There is open and honest communication and it's done in such a beautiful way. I love the discussions- especially the ones the guys had with each other. There is no instant perfect reverse harem here and I applaud Heather for that. It's what makes me love these characters even more. They are realistic with their feelings but also realize they are better together and are willing to put in the work.

So all in all, read it. You will find yourself completely in love with these characters once again. Somehow these books just keep getting better and better and I can't wait to see where Heather takes us next!

How did I fall even MORE in love with this series!?

This is the sixth book of Heather’s Untouchable series. The first five do need to be read in order to understand what is happening in this book.

I’ve been in love with this story and these characters from book one. This entire series really is phenomenal. The pace and plot are real life problems that anyone could face and I love that in a book. Ive connected more to these characters than almost any other characters from a book because of just how well developed they are.

Heather is taking her time to tell their story and it really shows. These characters feel like family to me. Reading about them honestly just makes me happy. In this book you see so much growth from them, in their relationships as well as individuals. I felt like a proud momma bear reading about Frankie’s new confidence and self awareness. She’s so much stronger in this book and it made me want to cry happy tears after everything she’s already gone through.

Frankie’s story has taken me through a lot of emotional highs and lows but that’s what I love about this series. It really is just real life. It could be anyone’s story. It’s relatable and the characters are flawed but lovable. I can’t wait to see where Heather takes this next and I already feel a little sad that we are more than halfway through now. I could read about these characters forever

I'm not quite sure where to begin with this one, but I will say I'm completely team Mad at Heather. I messaged my book besties after finishing this one and was "y'alllll that ending."
I used to not be the biggest cliffhanger fan but now I'm finding that they keep me more engaged in the story that before.

We come back from the Holidays and into the real world.
With all the drama and pettiness that comes with that.
I loved this book because it gave a wonderful balance of character development, plot movement and just added so many layers to the story that we haven't had before. Truly brilliant.
I am honestly so impressed with how the story as a whole has unfolded so far. It's only book six, which means I'm halfway there and I can only imagine what twists and turns we will see before the ending of this series.

Frankie continuously surprises me. While she's always had the spitfire in her, I think this book it cam out a little more and I loved it. Seeing her really stand up for herself and her relationship with the boys is honestly my favorite part of all of this.
Because we STAN A QUEEN WHO TAKES WHAT SHE WANTS.
I know we are still in for the ride of our lives but I'm so very much looking forward to seeing where all of this takes us. Still Team Jake... doubt that will ever change, he's just so amazing.
