Score - Love, heartbreak, betrayal, promises and steam - this book has all that and much more. Poppy and Keir's story was an easy read that reeled me in and kept me reading to the wee hours of the morning. I'm a huge sucker for a HEA and this book had the sweetest ending ever!
Fixed - How pretty is that cover? 10/10 for that picture, it is beautiful ❤️ I would have 1-clicked it just from the cover alone.
They say you shouldn't judge a book by its cover, but in this case they are wrong. The story inside is every bit as beautiful as the outside.
Holy... WOW! All the feels (including, maybe, some nonfictional feelings about fictional characters).
I freaking LOVED it.
I knew it would be hot but ~fans herself~ I think I just ovulated. Duke 😍😍😍😍😍 seriously, he did some weird things to my lady parts. The way he loved those little girls made me melt. So much love for him.
Elliot - I really appreciated that we saw her body insecurities (we have all been there) wishing we didn't have those marks from growing to fast or that extra bit of padding from growing a human. The fact that she is a "real woman" is a huge bonus in my eyes.
The build up to breaking point was amazing, just enough to keep you hooked but not so long that you got bored waiting for them to sort themselves out.
Drama, lust, tension, hot AF sex, heart warming moments and annoying ex's made this book impossible to put down.
Struck - This book... I have so much love for it. It was sweet, sexy and heartwarming.
TJ and Breeze were perfect.
"God.
I want to *effing* devour her. Her taste drives me wild.
I can't keep this kiss soft and gentle like the first one, and our lips part as my tongue seeks hers.
This.
This is what I've been craving.
The peace she brings me. I'm not letting any of the other *BS* in when she's in my arms."
There was heat, there was drama and also the stuff daydreams are made of (grey sweatpants) I can't recommend this book enough - such a great read!

Score:
This was a good second chance romance. Kier and Poppy met and fell in love in college. He is drafted to the NFL and life as they knew it would never be the same. A misunderstanding (along with no real communication) between them opened the door for hurt and regret that neither thought they could overcome.
After 10 years of being away from what she considered home, Poppy moves back only to come face to face with her past. She hasn't seen or heard from Kier since they broke up but now he is everywhere she turns. She is literally running into him all over town.
There is a lot of hurt and regret that these two need to sort through and it takes some time but they finally figure out that being with each other is so much better than being alone. When they are together, the world just seems brighter.
I'm definitely looking forward to the rest of this series.
Fixed:
I enjoyed this best friend's brother romance between Elliott and Duke (Poppy's brother). Duke has had a thing for Elliott for years but he never wanted to do anything that might jeopardize Poppy and Elliott friendship, so he kept these thoughts to himself. He thought he had done the right thing when she got married and had her daughters. Duke has decided to come home permanently from the Army so that he can be there for Poppy when she has her baby. He wasn't expecting the beautiful vision in front of him when he walks into Poppy's house where he was planning on staying....Elliott naked at the refrigerator.
Elliott was brought to up believe that she should do anything possible to keep her family intact. She wasn't expecting that to include the infidelity of her husband...especially with her own sister. But when her husband asks for a divorce, she is ready to beg him to stay. But in the end, she knows this is what is for the best. So she moves into Poppy's house until she can get her life together. She wasn't prepared to have a house guest in the form of the hottest man she has ever known in Duke.
After skirting around their attraction, they both decide to take whatever comfort from each other they can. Neither was ready for something to seriously develop. Elliott was just trying to figure out her new life as a single mom and Duke was trying to adjust to life outside the military.
I loved the passion and connection between Duke and Elliott. He made her feel like the beautiful and complete woman that she was. He was wonderful with her daughters as well and I just loved that. By biggest issue with the book was Elliott in the beginning. I just couldn't understand her wanting to beg her husband to stay after he cheated on her with who knows how many woman, including her sister. I just couldn't wrap my head around why she would want that man in her life. I also feel like she let her sister off the hook way too easy as well.
Struck:
I had figured TJ would end up with Lucy because they were always skirting around their attraction to one another. But when TJ meets Breeze, he realizes that Lucy was just a lust filled attraction that wouldn't have lasted. TJ's life was upended when he discovered that he has a son and the mother had passed away right after birth. Now his life is focused around Abel and what is best for him. He tries to fight his growing feelings for Breeze but it's hard to do when she is so good with his son.
Breeze is working hard to save up money for her European excursion she has always dreamed of. The last thing she expected when she took a yoga instructor position at Flex was to have the biggest crush on TJ, her boss. Even though her siblings don't want her to take her trip, they also understand this is something that she feels she must do. She isn't planning on staying in Savannah for long but the more time she spends with Abel and TJ, she realizes that dreams can definitely change.
I was glad to see TJ finally grow up and become the adult he should be. He embraced being a single father and did everything he could for Abel to have a great life. I loved the relationship Breeze had with both TJ and Abel. I truly didn't really understand the way they went about the trip at the end. Their communication with each other could have definitely been better.

“When I get a look at the man walking Bree down the aisle, time stands still. The music fades. The crowd vanishes. My vision tunnels in on his face, and I squeeze my eyes closed, hoping like fuck I'm imagining things. Shock wracks through me.” Lucas
It’s been a while, but it was refreshing to jump back into the pool of characters in this series. A heartwarming look into the lives of two people who were meant to pass in the night...Lucy and Asa’s story. Quick and easy to read, picked it up late at night and kept turning the pages, until the final page was read. Ms Louise’s writing suits me perfectly, it’s fun, unpredictable, angsty and humorous taking me on a journey every time I pick one up.
Lucy is far from perfect, she’s made some stupid decisions, but there was no malice. Finding out her boyfriend Scott has been cheating is the final straw to almost break the camels back. Why does everyone leave her? What starts off as one night stand becomes a whole weekend, until she puts her big foot in her mouth. Their connection was strong, they clicked and she thought the feelings were mutual. Lucy tried apologising, but Lucas kept ignoring her and then he pops back into her life when she least expects it. However, he’s still playing hardball.
Asa was attracted to Rina’s friend from the moment he set eyes on her. Joining them when he finished his shift, the sexual tension was palpable and couldn’t be ignored. Waking up the next morning to an empty bed and him sneaking out felt all kinds of wrong...so he stayed. She was perfect on every level, he wasn’t looking for permanent but she had gotten inside his head and he couldn’t get her out of it. Then he overheard those words judgemental words and he was out of there without a goodbye. Asa had lots on his plate and kept pushing thoughts of her away because he deserved better.

Review for Struck:
Any words that I can write won’t do justice to what I think is Emma Louise’s best book yet. This book will definitely be in my top reads for the year.
TJ wasn’t my favorite as a side character in the previous books, but the first 20% of this book catapulted him to become my favorite character that she has written so far.
Breeze was exactly what TJ needed at a time when he didn’t think he had anything to give to a relationship.
The ending had me smiling like a fool. Emma Louise, your writing just keeps getting better and better. Please don’t ever stop!

I loved each of these couples for very different reasons. The biggest and most shocking was Tj I didnt see that one coming, and the changes in him holy Guacamole swoon.. I love the friendships that have been made throughout these books, the closeness , the family unit they all are. It's been incredible to see them all grow as individuals and as couples. But also as a family unit...
