Willette Archer has a secret—though some would argue how well kept it actually is. As right-hand woman and best friend to the owner of Bird’s Eye Tattoo Studio, her job has become her whole life. So, she occupies her days with shop decisions to avoid her disappointing dating life.Of course, that might also have something to do with her two-decade old infatuation with her aforementioned best friend’s older brother.Derek Tanner is at a loss—with basically everything. His apartment lease is up, most of his belongings are somewhere in storage, and the good doctor has been pulling extra shifts at the hospital due to lack of staff. So, yeah. His life is chaos. Thanks to these wonderful circumstances, dating is nowhere on his radar. When his little brother suggests he stay in Willette’s spare room for the time being, he’s both grateful and hesitant. Sure, he grew up with Will too, but they’ve never been as close—let alone in close quarters. It doesn’t take very long for Doctor Derek to start seeing Will in a new light. This makes him think perhaps he should be examined. Will, on the other hand, is this close to feigning injury just so he’ll touch her already. When boundaries are crossed and relationships are finally taken to the next level, will Willette get exactly what she’s been hoping for since childhood, or will her fantasy be forever ruined?

Will had so many things I love… best friend’s brother, forced proximity, unrequited love, and an amazing heroine. But the hero… he really brought the book down for me. My girl deserved better.

Whoever read Hawk knows who Will is:

1. Hawk' best friend;

2. Bird's Eye tattos shop' manager;

3. And a badass inked woman who likes to dye her hair.

But Willette is so much more: insecure, romantic.... a dreamer.
Her only dream?? Doctor Derek Tanner. Hawk's brother.

She is aware nothing  gonna ever happen between the two of the them, they are two different, but what's wrong in dreaming  a little bit??

Except with a twist of events, Derek become her temporary roomate.
And he start to really "see" her....

So these two made me swoon  even more than Hawk and Drew 😍😍😍
The way they interact is funny and sweet ( and do not forget HOT 🔥🔥🔥).

Derek is really "the prince charming" type, and I really liked the way he acted  with Will (even in the hardest moments); but Will have undoubtedly my heart 🖤🖤

Her insecurities called my own and I just  wanted to hug her. But most importantly she is affected by my same obsession so how could i have not loved her?!

Just as the previous, this book is easy to read, and the kind that hook you from the first page. But I think the end was a bit too rushed.

Anyway Will is really a good book and i'm ready for the next one 🤩🤩🤩

I’m so happy to be back in the Bird’s Eye world- with all the tatted up sweethearts that have me swooning and laughing in equal measure. Prior to reading this series, I never knew how much I needed a sweet and swoony take on the tattoo artist trope- and I love what Kat is doing here. Giving us sweet and heartfelt stories about the most sincere and charming tatted heroines and heroes I’ve ever met- and I simply adore them.

Hawk’s best friend gets to take center stage in this friends/roommates to lovers sweet story- our fierce but tender-hearted tatted and tortured Barbie. After years of an unrequited love for Hawk’s sexy brother Derek, she finds herself unexpectedly his roommate- tortured day in and day out by the man she’s always wanted but can neve have. Soon, though, their living arrangement has Derek seeing Will with new and fresh eyes- and their undeniable chemistry leads them to explore a new dynamic of their relationship

I just ADORED Will, and I’m so happy Kat gave us her story. Like Hawk, she defies trope- externally she’s a fierce punk princess, but internally she’s a softer heroine- a woman with a heart full of love she’s looking to give, a woman with insecurities and unrealized romantic dreams. Kat lets us see the depth of Kat- all the beautiful complexity in this story. She’s still the tough as nails tattooed ballbuster, but she’s also a vulnerable and giving partner. I found her so relatable, and such an empathetic lead. And how can I resist a tattooed doctor who spends his time loving on kiddos in the cancer ward- do hear that sound? It’s the sound of ovaries exploding. Of course Will loves Derek- he’s DELICIOUS. He’s just a nice and affable guy with just a bit of edge- sweet, understanding, and delightfully thoughtful in the way he woos Will. It’s SEXY AF.

Their chemistry was just so charming. Their shift to more than friends felt so authentic and natural, and we have plenty of humorous moments between them to balance out the sexy and angsty ones. But I loved their quiet moments the best, the cuddles and dinner making and little conversation- the little touches Kat give them that helped build a palpable connection between them and give their relationship so much dimension. And I loved Kat’s internal voice- she’s so quirky and witty, and also so sweetly besotted with Derek.

Unlike Will though, Derek is only coming into his feelings for Will, and even though he’s the pursuer he has some catching up to do in terms of visualizing love and a future. He’s a pragmatist, Will’s a closeted romantic -and while we get so much sweet and swoony sizzle between them, we also get some heart wrenching angst as they try to get on the same page about their relationship. I marveled at Will’s generosity and patience, as well as her fortitude- and while I loved him 98% of the time, I found myself disappointed in Derek’s mistakes. But, he more than made up for them. I do wish we’d had a bit more time for our resolution - a bit more of Derek proving his heart, but the epilogues were just so perfect I can’t complain.

I’m so happy I found Kat and this series- it’s not often we get to explore sweet and heartfelt, lower drama romances in the tattoo artist trope, and I am here for it. This one gave me all the butterflies! And, I’m looking forward to the rest of the characters getting their moment to shine.

5 Star Review Will (Men of Bird’s Eye #2) by Kat Savage

Kat Savage is a relatively new author to me, but what I have read I have really enjoyed. Welcome back to the men and women of the Birds Eye Tattoo Shop.

From the first chapter to the last I was hooked on Willette Archer and Dr Derek Tanner’s friends to lovers story. Derek is the brother of Will’s best friend and she has had feelings for him for years. She has never acted on them as he is a bit of a player with no intention of settling down and it’s a line she is nervous to cross.

When Derek ends up staying in her spare room, her strength will be tested, how can she ignore the smoking hot man? The attraction between them builds until it becomes impossible to ignore. I fell hard for Derek, he is totally swoon worthy and I loved the build up in their relationship.

This is a well written story with characters whose story you cannot help but become invested in.

***4 "You need bang!!!" stars***

OUT NOW!!!

"Have you ever had your wildest dreams come true?"

If you have read "Hawk", then you know who Will is and I was waiting her turn with anticipation...
This was another one easygoing story... Simple, but real and I loved its characters!!!!
Will had stolen the show and she was so much more than I was expecting...
This was a story about two different people and an unrequired love. What will happen when everything is turning upside down and the oblivious part will start to notice???

"I get to be roomies with the boy I've had a crush on since puberty."

Will is Hawk's girl best friend and his business partner...
Will is independent and a very strong woman... She is thriving in their tattoo parlor with her management skills, but Will is having a secret... A secret crush that she is harboring for nearly twenty years for Derek Tanner, Hawk's big brother.

"Hawk is my best friend. My ride or die. But Hawk's older brother, Derek happens to be my secret, unrequired, forever, won't-go-away-no-matter-how-many-people-I-date crush. But the term crush hardly fits all my undying love for him."

Derek is Hawk's brother and a doctor, but under his scrubs, he is having several tattoos, but because of his job, he is trying to hide them away... He is a workaholic and he is changing women like he is changing his shirts...
And he is in desperately need of a new apartment...

" Who thought this whole roommate thing was a good idea?"

What will happen when fate and Hawk will put these two under the same roof, even for temporary???
Will is tranforming in a woman full of insecurities and Derek is starting to notice how beautiful Will is inside and outside...
Is there a hope for these two or their differences are too many???
You see, these two were worlds apart from each other's lifestyle... And also Hawk is the one person that these two are loving very much in this world!!!

"Even with Hawk linking us together, we've always been worlds apart. And we probably always will be."

I loved very much Will and Derek...
Will seemed to be a badass in the previous book, but in here, we got under her skin and we saw a different side of hers that I loved very much!!!
Derek was the thorn on her side for so many years and when he came on reach distance, she didn't know how to react...

"Since childhood, that boy turned teenager turned man has had a strong grip on my heart. Even if he doesn't know it."

Derek was more level headed and it took him some time to realize what was in front of him...
I won't lie to you that he didn't frustrated the hell out of me...
He had two sides too, but he was more on the preppy side while Will was on the wild side...
Imagine this combination, right??? Explosive!!!

"It's Willette. I'm touching Willette and it feels different, more significant, not cursory."

The only thing that i didn't like very much was that the ending felt a little bit too rushed... I just needed something more...
Except that fact, this was a very lovely and enjoyable story and I had become kind of addicted to these guys from the bird's eye tattoo parlor!!! I can't wait for more!!!!

"Love doesn't always improve a situation. No matter how deep it is. No matter how pure it is. Love can take a beautiful thing and poison it with doubt or disbelief or expectation or false hope. Love is not always the answer."

**I received an ARC for the exchange of an honest review**

Willette Archer!! One of the best heroines ever! 4 stars to her and only her 🥰

If I wasn't straight, I would want to date her 🤗😁

Derek as a Hero couldn't compare, 1 star down for him because Will deserved so much more! I felt sorry for her, she had been only with jerks, so Derek seemed the best she could ever settle for. His looks aside, what was so great about him? Just an average guy, whom I didn't particularly like towards the end...

Kat Savage is a fairly new author to me but with each book I pick up I find myself wondering why she hasn’t crossed my radar long ago. Will is book 2 in the Men of Birds Eye and it’s Willette Archer and Dr Derek Tanner’s friends to lovers story.
Will has crushed on Derek for many years but he is her best friends brother and that should mean he is off limits, add in the fact he is a confirmed bachelor with no interest in relationships means she should certainly be running in the opposite direction. When Derek needs a place to stay while looking for a new home he doesn’t hesitate in asking Will if he could crash in her spare room, she can’t say no but spending time with the man she has crushed on is not going to be easy….
This is friends to lovers romance at its best, it has wonderful characters, its well written, it’s captivating and I fell hard and fast for this couple. This story like the first is set around the owners and employees of the Birds Eye Tattoo Shop and once again we see the loyalty this group of friends have for each other. I really didn’t want this book to end and I’m excited for book 3 in the series. If friends to lovers are your jam look no further than this gem of a read.

This was beautiful.
Hawk has some competition for book boyfriend status. Those Tanner brothers!
Will melts my heart. She's so tough on the exterior but vulnerable and marshmallowy inside. Harbouring a LONG love for Derek - been there girl - she's gotten good at hiding it.
Or so she thinks.
Enter complication 1 when Hawk asks her to let Derek stay in her spare room while he looks for a new place.

Close quarters. Hidden love. Her taking care of his food needs and a bathroom accident.

Derek is simply divine. Hot, tatted, a doctor and a truly caring individual. He's got hidden depths even someone who's known him most of her life doesn't know.
He's never had someone making sure he eats. Who he can sit in comfortable silence with.

One birthday party changes everything in the most bittersweet way.

I just loved this story. It makes me want to go back and read Hawk again and then this again.

I did miss the fun acknowledgements I usually get with Kat's books.

I received an advanced copy from the author. All opinions are my own.

This is such a fun series! Will is a spunky independent woman who basically runs her best friends tattoo shop. Derek is a Doctor and the brother of Will’s best friend and Needs a place to crash until he finds a place. For anyone else this would be fine, except Will has been crushing on Derek pretty much all her life. Does he feel the same? Can these two have a relationship? This was a well written great quick read. I not Only love the relationship of the brothers but the tattoo shop as a whole is one big happy family. I am hoping that they each get their own book because these are so much fun to read.

FTC DISCLAIMER: I RECEIVED AN E-ARC FROM THE PUBLISHER THROUGH ONE OF A VARIETY OF SOURCES. I VOLUNTARILY OFFER MY HONEST REVIEW OF THE BOOK, THOUGH IT IS NOT EXPECTED OF ME! RECEIPT OF THIS BOOK IN THIS MANNER DOES NOT AFFECT MY OPINION OF THE BOOK OR THE CONTENT OF MY REVIEW!

I'd read the first book in the series a while ago, and remembered that it didn't impress me all that much. I held out hope that this book would be better than that previous one, but sadly, it wound up being more of the same for me. I truly believe that this is a case of the reader not fitting the book!

This is a roommates to lovers story, with a side of unrequited love thrown in for good measure. However, the whole thing felt contrived to me, because I couldn't believe that a doctor like Derek could be so clueless as to not know that Will had feelings for him when it pretty clear to everyone else! When Will and Derek do get together, it felt rushed and...unemotional for lack of a better term. That could be blamed on Derek's so-called inability to fall in love, but for me, it made it so much harder to connect with the relationship, especially with what he does later on in the story!

The storytelling was actually good, despite the occasional spelling or grammar mistake, so it's not a case of me not enjoying the author's writing style. It's just a case of me not getting into the story being told. I don't think I'll continue with the series, as it's just not resonating with me like it should.

I loved Hawk and all of the staff at the Bird's Eye Tattoo studio so I couldn't wait for Wills story to be told. This is book 2 in the Men of Bird’s Eye Series.

Will is the manager of the Bird’s Eye Tattoo Shop which her best friend Hawk own's and she has been in love with Derek (Hawk's brother for pretty much her whole life). Derek is a serial dater and cannot seem to find a connection with anyone he dates. Derek decides to move to the city and while looking around for a place to buy he stays in Wills spare room and that is when he suddenly starts seeing Will in a different light.

This is a Best Friend's Brother Romance that will give you all the feels. I felt the ending may have been a little rushed but other than that I love all the characters who work in the Tattoo studio and cannot wait to read more about them.

Will is the second book in Kat Savage’s Men of Bird’s Eye series, and it was another quick and addictive read. I’ll be honest and say I did not enjoy this one as much as I enjoyed the first in the series, but it did make for perfect quick reading.

After reading Hawk, I was eager for more of Will. She was a great character, and I love a good best friend’s brother romance. As expected, I adored her and the story, I smiled at many of the things that played out, and I devoured it in a single sitting. Although I adored it, I do feel some aspects were a little too easy and didn’t have quite the depth I had hoped for. I enjoyed it, yes, but it did not hit quite as hard as I had hoped it would. I certainly remain eager for the rest of the series, though.

All in all, fans of Hawk are sure to devour this addition to the Men of Bird’s Eye series.

I love Willette! I fell in love with her in Hawk's story and am so glad Kat Savage gave us her story next. She's a mix of salty and sweet, fierce and vulnerable.

Will is Hawk's best friend since childhood and also his coworker...and she has a secret she's been keeping from Hawk for forever.

She's in love with his brother, Derek.

Derek has decided to relocate to the area and need a place to stay. Guys who gets volunteered to let Derek stay at their place while he finds his own residence! Will!

It's a sweet, fun story until Derek finds out that Will's attraction to him isn't something that just developed.

I love how Kat Savage has given us this series filled opposites attract characters and make them work so well - with each other and to the reader.

I can't wait to see what she has in store with Avery and Hanson!

Okay, this was a really hard one to give only three stars. I need to say that I LOVED Hawk.. and I absolutely loved his best, badass friend, Will. She was strong and confident and amazing in Hawk; Savage created a character so bold and loving while also leaving so much mystery to her that I barely finished reading Hawk before moving on to Will. .. and then it fell a little short for me. I really, really want to love this book. I understood where the author was going with the storyline; I loved the hot scenes that were given (I would've loved more!), I adored the HEA of Will and Derek and their long overdue relationship and I even loved Derek's sweet and caring character. I was just surprised at how little of Will was given, though. I didn't feel like she was given the depth and development I craved and was looking forward to while reading Hawk. I can appreciate her bold surface and deep seeded insecurities as a woman always being "one of the guys" but I just felt like I didn't get to experience enough of her tough, take-no-shit personality in this book. That being said, I waited to review until after I read Avery. And if you're feeling like I was while reading Will, DO NOT STOP THIS SERIES. Avery is the absolute best out of the first three... Fucking amazing.

" È difficile dire come è successo.

«Aspetta,» dico. «Non sono pronta.» «Pronta per cosa?» domanda. «Per addormentarmi,» sussurro. «Perché no?» chiede.

Ci ho sempre tenuto a lei.

Mi mette a disagio. E quel gesto gentile di Derek è quasi insopportabile. Non mi piace. O forse il problema è che mi piace troppo. La parola “Pericolo” mi lampeggia nella mente con enormi lettere rosse al neon. Non ho bisogno di altri particolari di lui da adorare. Non ho nemmeno bisogno di un’altra ragione da aggiungere alla lista dei motivi per cui lo amo. Eppure eccolo qui, a darmi un altro motivo per farmi fremere."

This one was a surprise for me. It being my first read by this author I wasn't sure what to expect or if I'd be a little lost reading book two first. I'm happy to say that isn't the case and whilst I'm not familiar with the characters from book one, Kat did a great job of putting in enough information so that I understood the dynamics of each character.

Will is a unique woman who loves expressing herself through different hair colours, tattoos and her clothes. She appears to be confident and out going but in reality she's actually self conscious and harsh on herself. She loves a good book and the security of her little home.

Derek the smoking hot doc oozes confidence and kindness. Despite his glorious looks the man is also a very accomplished doctor with a heart of gold and an all round nice guy. Hard to believe right but he literally is the perfect package.

These two were cute AF. Will has had a crush on the Doc for as long as she's been best fiends with his little bother Hawk. The only people who knew this juicy info were Derek's mom and Hawks wife. Derek wasn't as blind to Will either though. Oh he noticed little Will was all woman with a body that made you think sinful thoughts.

Fate had something funky in store for these pair because when Derek was in need of a place to stay, Will just so happened to have a spare room to accommodate him. It's safe to say the lusty feelings weren't going anywhere and them being confined in a small space just added fuel to their burning fire.

I loved them together. Honestly Derek was so sweet and very reassuring to Will who's confidence wasn't so great. The sweet connection and playful chemistry really set the pace for their journey and had me all up in my feelings loving them together. It was totally that butterflies and rainbows kind of romance of opposites attracting.

The dynamic was interesting and I love the slow burn into their romance. I feel like because they already had a friendship of sorts it was easy to believe in them together. It was sweet and easy to read with very little drama which was a nice surprise. I love the added bonus of Will being Derek's brothers best friend and there being no fall out with their friendship.

As a whole it's a nice read with a whole lot of sweet and a little spice just to keep things interesting. I'm curious about Hawk now so I think I'll have to go back and read his story now.

Will is the second book in Kat Savage's Men of Bird's Eye series. Although technically, Will (aka Willette) is a woman, and she's one of the guys in theory, but she's our feisty, independent heroine in this story... who has been in love with Hawk's big brother for nearly 20 years.

Derek's lease is up, his hours at the hospital are insane, and he needs someplace to crash while he house hunts. So Hawk offers up Will's spare bedroom, and we have a forced proximity/roommates romance with a bit of secret crush mixed in. Derek has always been a serial dater, never committing because he doesn't believe in love. Will has always dated losers, because she knows nobody will measure up to Derek. But as they spend more time together as roommates, Derek starts to look at Willette differently and asks her out. There is hesitation from both of them about not wanting to ruin their decades-old friendship... and that is exactly what happens when Derek finds out that Willette has been in love with him since she was a kid. He freaks out, moves out, and leaves Will heartbroken.

I really liked Will and Derek's story, but I wanted *more* from them. Why is Derek so against love? He's seen it go bad with his parents, but that was a one-liner and I wanted more about how that affected him. I wanted more of Derek’s inner thoughts when it came to his feelings for Will and his willingness to “hope” for more. The scene was beautiful but I wanted to know how he got there. I also wish that there had been some reference to Will's family -- it would have given her more depth as a heroine. The one reference to her Generalized Anxiety Disorder was kind of a throw-away, and I think there was so much that could have been explored there with how that affects her.

But overall, Will was a great read, and I'm really enjoying this series. I can't wait to see what's in store for Avery and Hanson! I received an advanced copy and voluntarily left a review.

After meeting the crew of Bird’s Eye in Hawk, I knew I wanted/needed more of all of them, it didn’t really matter which order, I just wanted more, but I cannot deny that I was very happy that Will’s aka Willette’s book was up next. And this baby took me on one heck of a ride. I was sweet, smexy and frustrating as all get out, but I couldn’t stop turning the pages to until I was certain that Will and Derek would get their HEA (together of course).

I cannot deny that I loved Will and Derek. Both are good people who love those they cal their own hard and will do what needs to be done to help them out, but boy do they both have some major insecurities to work through. At times they drove me a little batshitcrazy, but they also made them both relatable as well as likeable.

As for their journey to their HEA. Overall, it was a lot of fun to watch them finally get to know each other outside of being Hawk’s BFF or Hawk’s brother and they actually found that they had more in common than they knew. The big road block in their journey wasn’t unexpected, but it was frustrating, and while I would have liked a tinsy bit more groveling, I cannot deny that I liked how everything turned out for them.

This was a great addition to the series. It was engaging and I enjoyed the dual first person POV’s, even when they got to having conversations with themselves in their heads aka monologuing. There were a few situations that I wish we’d gotten a little more of, but I did like that this was a very character driven romance with very little outside drama. As for the Bird’s Eye crew. I loved catching up with Hawk, Drew and Ava and getting to know a little bit more about Avery and Hanson as a lead up to their books, which I think will be quite fun to read when they are finally released.

Will by Kat Savage was all about those sexy swoony butterflies in your stomach with loads of emotion. It really hit the mark of delivering complex emotions with ease. The author's writing was beautiful. This is a series I want to read more and more.

Willete Archer aka Will is a fierce independent woman who runs and works in the tattoo shop owned by her best friend Hawk. She has an unrequited crush on Hawk's brother, Dr. Derek Tanner since forever. When Derek decides to move close to his brother and fails to find a suitable living place before lease of his current place runs out, Hawk suggests sharing Will's apartment. It's a tickling bomb and Will doesn't know how to handle it.

I have loved Will from the previous book. With her tattoos and unique style. The no nonsense attitude. A total bada$$. And it was really interesting to see the other side of Will. Vulnerable in love, seeking approval, making some bad decisions..and you know what, I love her even more. She handled herself with grace and restraint around Derek and he was the one to first make a move and accept that he thinks her more than a little sister. It was a bit slow burn followed by explosive passion and then the angsty emotions. Will was all in. Now Derek treated her so sweetly and he loved spending all the amazing time with her but he was not sure about love. My heart was breaking for my girl and I am proud she made a stand. And Derek finally realized his mistake and every goregous man makes some. So I forgive him. I love the extended family of the tattoe shop boys.

Will by Kat Savage is a swoonworthy romance with all the feels. I loved spending time with these amazing characters.

𝒢𝑒𝓃𝓇𝑒 | 𝒯𝓇𝑜𝓅𝑒𝓈: Contemporary, Best Friend’s Brother
𝒮𝑒𝓇𝒾𝑒𝓈: Men of Bird’s Eye, Book 2
𝒮𝓉𝑒𝒶𝓂 𝐿𝑒𝓋𝑒𝓁: 🔥🔥

Book 2 in the Men of Bird’s Eye Series brings us Will and Derek’s story of unrequited love and seeing what’s right in front of your face…finally.

𝐻𝒾. 𝑀𝓎 𝓃𝒶𝓂𝑒 𝒾𝓈 𝒲𝒾𝓁𝓁𝑒𝓉𝓉𝑒 𝒜𝓇𝒸𝒽𝑒𝓇 𝒶𝓃𝒹 𝐼’𝓂 𝒶 𝒻𝓊𝒸𝓀𝒾𝓃𝑔 𝓈𝓅𝒶𝓏.

Will has harbored a massive crush on Derek since middle school. He’s been blatantly oblivious to her feelings the entire time. But when he becomes her roommate temporarily and he begins to see her in a new light he begins to question everything he thought he knew. When a revelation occurs at a birthday party, Derek has to come to terms with this new knowledge and his inability to love, or so he thinks.

This was a relatively quick read. The chemistry between Will and Derek was thick but there wasn’t as much steamy scenes as I’d hoped (ya can’t blame me for wanting MORE lol). What I LOVED about this story was the tiny details. How Will nonchalantly took care of Derek making him food for work, leaving him breakfast, knowing what he likes. Derek does it as well, so while the development between them wasn’t in depth, their history provided a foundation to grow upon.

𝐼 𝓁𝒾𝓀𝑒 𝓉𝒽𝑒 𝓌𝒶𝓎 𝓈𝒽𝑒 𝓁𝑜𝑜𝓀𝓈 𝒶𝓉 𝓂𝑒. 𝐼 𝒹𝑜𝓃’𝓉 𝓉𝒽𝒾𝓃𝓀 𝒾𝓉’𝓈 𝓁𝓊𝓈𝓉, 𝒶𝓉 𝓁𝑒𝒶𝓈𝓉 𝓃𝑜𝓉 𝓅𝓊𝓇𝑒𝓁𝓎 𝒶𝓃𝒹 𝓈𝑜𝓁𝑒𝓁𝓎. 𝐼𝓉’𝓈 𝓈𝑜𝓂𝑒𝓉𝒽𝒾𝓃𝑔 𝑒𝓁𝓈𝑒 𝐼 𝒸𝒶𝓃’𝓉 𝓅𝓊𝓉 𝓂𝓎 𝒻𝒾𝓃𝑔𝑒𝓇 𝑜𝓃.

And those TWO epilogues? Absolutely perfect! 😍😍

If you read the previous book you would know this is Hawk’s brother’s story, Derek Tanner.

Willette Archer has been in love with Derek Tanner since they were teenagers. She doesn’t know how or why it happened but it is what it is. But she knows that someone like Dr Derek Tanner will never go for someone like her. They were total opposites. He was a Dr and dated super models and she was a manager at his brother’s tattoo shop, and she was filled with tattoo’s. Not the perfect way for a Dr’s wife. But when Derek’s lease was up on his old apartment he needed a place to crash till he gets something else and Hawk suggests that he move in Will things might become a bit tricky.

Derek has never seen Willette as anything more than a little sister and his brother’s best friend. But when he has to move in with her he discovers a whole new side of her, a side he would like to get to know more. But Derek has never been in love with anyone ever and doesn’t think that he would be a person to fall in love his just not capable of that… So how will react when he finds out that Will has been in love with him forever… 😊

I enjoyed this story. I loved Hawk’s story (the previous book) and was excited to read Derek and Will’s story. And I loved it. But Derek upset me with his stupid mistake and how he treated Will when he found out how she felt. I loved Will, she comes across as a tough bad ass, but in reality she is a soft hearted closeted romantic. I cant wait to see who’s story is next. Maybe Avery?? Bring it I cant wait…😊♥

I loved Willette, she is the friend everyone wants in their corner. She is totally badass... her style and her attitude are totally individual and she has the softest heart which she is determined to protect.
Her dating life is pretty dismal and she seems to find herself attracted to bums or men who aren’t prepared to accept her for who she is.
Derek is a successful Doctor, he lives a very normal life. He doesn’t realise until he is living with Will that what he really needs is someone like her... someone to push his boundaries and encourage his wild side.
I really felt for Will as their relationship developed and she finally got exactly what’s she had always dreamt of ...and yet she still felt a huge amount of apprehension.. worried she had more feelings in it than Derek.
But what will happen when he finds out the true depth of her feelings? Is he prepared to finally settle down?
I enjoyed this story and I still love all the characters at the tattoo shop. I felt some areas could have been enhanced a bit... Connors story for instance and I was a bit disappointed in Derek and his attitude but I’m pleased with how it all worked out for them.

I was so excited to read more of the Bird's Eye series after Hawk and I became more excited after I saw that the next book was Will's book. Hawk's childhood best friend is so spunky and I love her. She is harboring a major crush on Hawk's brother, Derek, and when Derek comes back to town and can't find somewhere to live, it only makes sense that he stay in her spare room, right? He just can't find out about the secret crush becaus that would make things really akward and no one wants that.
Derek is a doctor that hasn't really had the time to invest in a real relationship. He's always in them, but never fully invested. He's never been in love, never felt anything for someone that was more than "like". Moving in with his brother's best friend he's known for years should be fine, but for some reason he's seeing her in a whole new light and that is making things very uncomfortable, if you catch my drift. When he sees the losers she is dating, he realizes that he might like her as something other than his brother's friend.
Can Derek give more to this relationship than the ones in the past? What if the fact that Will has loved Derek forever scares him away? These are all obstacles that they have to overcome and it is great to see the growth of characters even if the book is short. I enjoyed seeing glimpes of all the old characters and can't wait for more of this series.

I thought I loved Hawk, but Will's story surely is my favorite so far. Her character is extremely relatable, badass but real. Savage writes an amazing friends to lovers, best friends brother, story perfectly. Derek and Will's story is something special, one of those right in front of your eyes love stories. It's an extremely quick read because you want to keep reading. I loved seeing Hawk, Ava, and Drew mentioned and small updates on their lives as well as the boys who's stories are coming up. It gives the perfect tease to make me want to pick up book 3, (like there was even any doubt I would).
The epilogue did throw me for a loop, I loved what happened but it definitely seemed a bit rushed. There were a few things that I would've liked to happen only if it were years down the road not months. I'm hopeful it will be mentioned in the next books but overall I loved this book so much. A great read.

I love the Bird’s Eye Tattoo family. This is a sweet friends/roommates to lovers story.

Will is a bada** shop manager for her best friend Hawk’s tattoo shop. She’s fiercely loyal and has been carrying around a torch for Hawk’s older brother Derek. He’s not one for settling down and she’s afraid to cross that line, but when an opportunity arises will she be able to ignore it?

Derek’s life is a mess and being a doctor doesn’t leave him time to do much. So when he needs a place to stay, his brother suggests Willete’s spare room so he jumps at the chance. But what happens when he starts to see Will in a new light and the attraction is too hard to ignore….

Will and Derek burn up the pages with their steamy chemistry. I love their friends to lovers story. I love all the characters and I can’t wait for more from the Bird’s Eye Tattoo series.
