Mandi

It’s my dad’s birthday.
I always get him donuts from his favorite bakery.
I’m running late and there’s nowhere to park.
I know it’s a bad idea, but I park in a tow zone.
It doesn’t take long to get donuts, right?
Wrong.
Apparently it takes longer to get donuts than to get my car towed.

Arrow

I’ve given out one too many warnings to cars parking in the tow zone.
Today, I’m not having it.
But I’m not prepared for the fiery, curvy beauty that gives me a piece of her mind.
I can’t help but want a piece of her heart, too.
How was I to know she’s my boss’s daughter?

Sweet & steamy short story insta-love romance with an older police officer hero and younger curvy woman with an HEA. NO cliffhangers. NO cheating.

Mandi stopped to get her dad’s birthday donuts and comes out of the shop to find her car being towed. Arrow a police officer is tired of having people park in the red zone and decides today no warning, today the person who parked here gets a ticket and towed. Mandi having a bad day because her ex is getting married today, calls her dad the police chief to get out of having her car towed. During all the drama a creepy guy starts filming the encounter and Mandi breaks his phone. Back at the police station Arrow goes to see the chief, Mandi is there and having car trouble. Arrow offers her a ride home, the chief asks Arrow to protect Mandi because of the creepy guy.
The two go to a picnic lunch which later leads to kissing. The next day the two go for a hike and run into Mandi’s ex and his new wife. Arrow stakes his claim on her in front of the two. Mandi thinks it’s to protect her feelings, but Arrow is serious. They head to his house and Mandi spends the night. A little drama when she sees her dad asked Arrow to watch over her. All ends well with the arrest of the creep, and the lovers back together again. Epilogue with a baby.
I just didn’t feel the emotion between the two main characters.

It feels meant to be...

Well what do you do when you try to have your boss's daughter's car towed on his birthday when she is picking up his favorite doughnuts to celebrate? Well if you are Arrow then you end up getting an ear full after the very beautiful and fiery young woman makes a call to her dad........Oopps!!!
Arrow finds himself in this situation on a Friday morning when he has finally had enough of people parking in the tow away zone by the best bakery in town. But just as the tow truck is backing up a young woman appears and she is not having it, no matter what he says. Turns out that she is the daughter of his chief and boss, Brayden. Arrow had moved to Stryker County two years ago to start over. It seems that Arrow picks the wrong women as they all cheat on him, and then blame the long hours that he works as the reason why. He is now done with women and is good with that. Well that is until the little firecracker invades his tow-away zone and his thoughts.
Mandi and her father Brayden moved to Stryker County three years ago. Brayden had been hired as the new Police Chief and Mandi wanted to get away from her mother after her parents divorce. Since the move she has made a comfortable life for herself. At twenty-four she works part-time at the local library and edits books on the side. But her love life is an issue. Her commitment phobe boyfriend dumped her six months ago and then promptly got together with her barista airhead barbie neighbor and is getting married. So today is not the best day in Mandi's life as everything seems to be against her. First her ex is getting married that afternoon, she cannot find a parking spot so she can pick up the donut order she had placed, there is a very creepy guy in the bakery who seems to take an interest in her, he car is about to be towed when she gets out of the bakery and then her car actually dies on her way to see her dad at the police headquarters. But there is one bright spot.......the tall, dark and deliciously sexy officer Arrow.
Now that both Arrow and Mandi can't get each other out of their thoughts, and all the juicy things they are thinking, will they be able to get together? After all he is at least ten years older and she is his boss's daughter. So when Brayden asks Arrow to watch over Mandi as Brayden and his wife are heading out of town for the weekend, and the creepy bakery guy keeps popping up, it is the perfect opportunity to spend more time together and Arrow is all about taking advantage of an opportunity. He is going to make sure that Mandi is well protected and if they somehow end up tumbling into bed together so that he can claim her as his then "It was meant to be"

Arrow is the seventh book in the Stryker County PD series and is a great addition to the series. The story is fun, flirty, witty, has some drama and a lot of romance and sizzling chemistry, along with some adult naughty times. I really liked both Arrow and Mandi. This was a very enjoyable book to read and I would recommend it and the rest of the series also.

Karma was kind

This book is a quick instalove read about Arrow and Mandi. Mandi and her Dad Brayden moved to Stryker County three years ago. She works at the library and he’s a police chief. She first meets Arrow when he’s having her car towed for being illegally parked out the front of Donut Haven. She’s furious, and calls her Dad to influence the police officer to stop the tow. When Arrow is put onto the phone, he realises his boss is Mandi’s dad.

There’s an instant, mutual attraction, but as they get to know each other, sparks fly with their sizzling-hot chemistry. They both know each other is off-limits because of who they are. But they manage to create or run away from their own dramas, and there are doubts as to whether they could be together or not. With Arrow’s protective and possessive ways, Mandi is concerned that chemistry and lust just aren’t the same as, or equate to love and forever.

So will these wonderful characters get their happily-ever-after? This was another fun, sweet and steamy read, and one I would definitely recommend. I give this book four and a half sweet stars.

I liked this story a lot. It was entertaining and enjoyable for the most part. The characters were interesting and relatable. Claude definitely needed some comeuppance and I'm glad that he got it. Arrow and Mandi don't meet under the best of circumstances, but that doesn't stop their attraction to each other. Mandi makes some poor decisions and then follows that up with another poor decision. Arrow was trying to do his job, but on this particular day, it comes back to bite him. I liked that they were attracted to each other even when they didn't know each other and were even annoyed with each other a bit. Their "dates" were simple but very sweet. Arrow standing up for Mandi with Todd and Tammy was awesome and that he meant it just makes it even better! I loved their happy ever after. I recommend reading this book.

Kali Hart is fast becoming a must read author for me. She has a way of grabbing onto you from the 1st page of her books and doesn't let you go till the end. Her story telling is fantastic and her characters are so delightful that you can't help cheer for their happily ever after. With our world so crazy these days it's such a please to be able to escape into a short story that leaves you feeling so good at the end. Arrow and Mandi's story is one of finding you soul mate after much disappointment in your life but knowing when you find them that everything that you went through was well worth it. This book has everything that you could want; comedy, action, drama and of course hot romance. Please don't miss this gem of a book!

Mandi, the chief’s daughter is getting birthday donuts form the donut shop. Problem is she cant find a parking space except in the the first responders parking space. Taking a chance on getting towed, she returns to a tow truck and Office Arrow directing the driver. Throwing a tantrum, father is called. So starts Mandi and Arrow. Arrow is attracted but while he is warned By Dad about keeping his hands to himself, there is a threat toward Mandi. Does he tell her or leave her in the dark? Karma is coming into play. No cliffs.

First things first; I like the cover of this book.
Arrow is the seventh book in the ‘’Stryker county PD’’ series. This story is short, fast paced and an enjoyable read. I read this book in one sitting and was satisfied throughout. I found the writing style easy to follow, the characters likeable and the storyline enjoyable. This story is Mandi’s story who is Brayden (from the previous book) daughter. When Mandi meets one of her father’s officers, will she find love?
The chemistry between Arrow and Mandi is clear to see and I liked them together.
I really liked the ending and the epilogue for this story.
The storyline for this book is easy to follow and it is an enjoyable read.

So far

Out of all the other ones in the series I’ve really disliked this one the most Mandi is nasty

She feels privileged because her dads the head honcho uh no 🥴

She was nasty and entitled she gets Arrow in trouble because she’s doing something wrong but she doesn’t want to get towed 🥴 uh no

Then she grabs someone phone breaks it and is like it’s ok ??? Uh no 🥴

Then the dad says touch my daughter and I’ll have your badge how is that professional

Out of all of her books this is the one h that I just couldn’t finish again she was really nasty and snotty I didn’t like her at all

What happens when you try to tow your boss's daughter car.... You get a talking to. What happens when your boss tells you to keep an eye on his daughter, but don't do anything.... Well that is a choice Arrow had to make. The moment Arrow sees Mandi, he knew she was something special, even if it meant loosing his badge.

This was a fast sweet romantic story with all the heat and passion of two people who were perfect for each other. That is a great quick read for a busy day.

Loved the way this one starts, you can just picture all the color draining from Arrows face. I don’t want to give to much away, but it definitely a possible career ending day. Good storyline, with the characters being vibrant in personality. Great ending in all of these short stories are just a tad connected in some way together.

Claudey Poo, Strike Two.
Wonderful story. Arrow is a by the books officer. Laws are in place for a reason. When he meets Mandi while enforcing one. Of those laws he’s immediately taken by her. Mandi falls for him, too. But, they are off limits to each other. And what happens when she is in danger? Come one back tp Stryker County for more action. You won’t be sorry.

In the first chapter the 24 yr old h parks in a red/emergency zone, calls her police captain father ‘Daddy’ so he can stop her car from being towed, gets mad at a man video taping her tantrum, grabs his phone and tosses it into the street where it is run over AND has to car trouble because it ran out of oil and she kept driving it! Dumb, entitled brat should have had her car towed and been arrested for property damage. Nothing in the rest of the short story changed that first impression.

Falling in love with your boss’ daughter is bad, add in the fact that said boss warned him to leave his daughter alone equals a hard decision for Arrow. For him it’s an easy decision, the heart wants what it wants, he loves her and he can’t help but claim her.

Arrow thru the heart

Cute addition to the series. This one revolves around Mandi and Arrow. Mandi is the daughter of Brayden, who we met in an earlier book. Brayden is also Arrows boss at the police department. Uh oh.....somebody better bring several donuts to smooth the way for that relationship.

“Meant to be” is the phrase that summarizes this story perfectly. Mandi and Arrow are just that, meant to be. I love that there wasn’t a huge drawn out drama with her dad and it was basically just their relationship blossoming. It’s the perfect feel-good book I needed before going to bed.

Excellent series!

Mandi is getting her dad his birthday donuts when her car is starting to get towed. She runs out to stop it and meets Arrow, a very hot cop. They have an immediate attraction too. There is some suspense, steam, and angry dad and love!
