An indispensable resource for any child’s library!
Really nice book on dinosaurs for small children. All of the different ages are covered - both popular and little known dinosaurs are included. Another STEM pick that could channel the paleontologist inside to 'dig' science (sorry - that was bad). Illustrations are nice and very 'kid' friendly; the kind of book I wish I could have gotten my hands on when I was in the 4th grade.
A slightly longer book for the dinosaur lover in your life, this one is so fun and interesting! I appreciate the table of contents and the layout of the entire book.
Reading through, the book is written just like the author is having an intellectual conversation with the reader. Cool diagrams and interesting facts are spread throughout the book. I also appreciate the questions and conversation starters that are there for the reader.
I see many interesting conversations with my kids in the future! I can’t wait to hear about everything they have learned.
What I love about this series is that they almost read like a look-and-find, or a Magic School Bus book; there's information all over the page, but it doesn't feel overwhelming. What I don't love about this series is the workbook feel at the end of each section - it feels more like a quiz than a recap.
Fascinating facts presented in a way that reminded me of Richard Scarry books of my childhood. Interesting illustrated sidebar question and answer on all subtopics covered. Perfect for an elementary school library.
