Emily Bennett is happy. The number of her followers in PhoGlow is constantly growing, she is in love, and her best friend Mason Manor is always happy to help with advice. But most importantly, Emily and Mason no longer fear for their lives. Sebastian Sawyer, the former boss, is dead and they can choose now by themselves what to post and what to promote.

All eight former Sebastian employees are invited to a party on a yacht in Miami where Zack, the most successful influencer in PhoGlow is going to celebrate his birthday.

But one of Sebastian's partners Ivan promised to revenge him, in case he unexpectedly dies. And now Ivan is ready to keep his promise.

Of course, the book is a bit annoying as social media and professional influencing are something new and unusual for most of us. But this is our day's life and we cannot deny it. Social media can do a lot of good things, but at the same time can be very dangerous in the wrong hands and this trilogy shows it.

I found it interesting and actual and recommend this book to everyone.

Influencer by Daniel Hurst

This is the second book in the trilogy. The first was a 5 star book, sadly I cannot say the same about this one. I do feel the writer makes a big mistake in the first chapter as something happens that makes the next 60% of the book merely padding till it actually happens. If it wasn't referred to then at least we would be thinking will this happen of wont it! I got bored really.
Such a shame as I totally loved book one, but there was not much actual story in this book. The last part was good, but then leaves us on the inevitable, these days, cliffhanger so you have to buy the third book to see what happens. Sorry Daniel I love everything else you have written but this is not your best work sadly.

Was sent an advanced copy in return for my honest review. Such a great read, liked how the book was in two halves with before and after. Did not see the twist at the end and now can't wait for the final installment.

It seemed like everything was going well for Emily — Her career blooming, finding the love of her life and regaining control. But then a birthday party on a yacht goes awry leading her down another whirlwind of drama and fighting for her life!

I can’t wait to read the final book in this trilogy!

As we are left wondering about Emily Bennett this book will take you further into her life. She is living her dream...travelling, luxury, all that money can buy...but what if she wants more...like freedom to post what she likes.

We find that this is something she does but is in danger for doing. She is being watched and revenge is around the corner. Read this page turner and find out what goes on is more than Emily bargained for.

This book is filler to get to a trilogy series

I rarely leave bad reviews because I respect the effort involved in creating fresh work. But. Oh my God, this book was tedious. Key plot points from the previous book and this one kept being repeated and repeated and repeated and repeated ad nauseum. This read like a school assignment with a minimum word requirement so the author was just stuffing the count with whatever they could squeeze in to make it right up to the line. Believe it or not, some readers don’t need a plot recap every 5 or 7 pages to stay engaged with the storyline (you think I’m exaggerating?) I enjoyed book 1, slogged thru book 2, and am hoping book 3 bounces back.

I dare say you can skip book 2 entirely because I’m confident every plot point will be hit again at least once in book 3 (please God, let it only be once.).

Book one was such a good read so I bought the next two in the trilogy. Book two was definitely no where near as good. In fact I was more than a little disappointed. I knew exactly who was going to turn up at the end and the main character was a bit vapid. I found myself flicking through the pages as it was quite frankly a boring read. I will read the last installment as I have bought it and hope that it's a better read

I really enjoyed Influencer book 2 of the Influencing Trilogy by Daniel Hurst.

Sebastian is out of the Influencer's lives now as he was taken away in a body bag from his hotel room. Without Sebastian and his team of hackers, Emily and the rest of the team are free to promote the things they want instead of being dictated and threatened to by Sebastian and his hitman.

Unbeknown to Emily and her team of Influencers there is a devious and devastating plan to extinguish them all in one go by Ivan Ilghiz who had been given instructions that if Sebastian had not been in touch after a certain time then to assume he had been killed by the hands of one of the Influencers.

Ivan hires an assassin and all hell will break loose when a birthday party aboard a yacht takes place with all eight Influencers on board and it is not going to be a teddy bear's picnic.

Only one person survives and a cat and mouse chase on an island commences and a face from the past turns up to get revenge.

The follow up to Influence. Emily and the other influencers are finally free of Sebastian. But while they enjoy their lives without fear, unbeknownst to them, their former boss' people are out for revenge.

I was quite curious about the second book in this trilogy as I found the premise really original.
However, I didn't find this book to my liking.
For most of the story, literally nothing happens; the multiple and some unnecessary perspectives continue being repetitive.
I found that the only gripping part was at the end. The twist was unexpected, but that is the only positive thing I can say about it.
The book ended in a cliffhanger so I will read the last book, but I hope that it will prove to be better.

This is book two of an amazing trilogy, and it does not disappoint! Packed with thrills, suspense, and jaw-dropping twists, it will pull you in from the very first page and never let go!

Book two is packed with twists, surprises, and moments that will leave your jaw on the floor. Just when you think you know where it’s going—bam! Another twist.

Emily has finally created the life she’s always dreamed of: close friendships, a blossoming new relationship, and the chance to help her mother. But as the saying goes... be careful what you wish for.

Without giving too much away, let me just say this: the ending will leave you scrambling to get your hands on the final book. Trust me, you won’t want to wait!

She has wonderful friends, a new relationship, and she is helping her mother. be careful what you wish for! what I can tell you is, when you get to the end of this book, you will be desperately trying to get your hands on the last book in the trilogy. I enjoyed all of these books in the trilogy. Emily is such a likable character, and her personality shines through! The beginning of the book hints at a potential tragedy. Does it actually happen or is it thwarted somehow? And what happens to our beloved Emily? The answer is something to behold! And you are definitely wanting more and rushing to get the final book in this series! Great job Daniel! I didn’t like the reference to the cat and almost docked a star for it, but the fun of this trilogy won me over!

Read the 3 books in order

I hadn't heard of "Influencers" until reading these books, but now I see videos of confirmed buyers modeling & endorsing certain products. I have recently noticed they are being paid for their reviews. Didn't know such a thing existed! These stories capture my attention & desire to solve the mysteries. Looking forward to book 3 for a satisfying conclusion.

If you haven’t read Influence, read that one first!***

Sebastian is gone, Emily has everything she ever wanted. Her best friend, Mason, is another influencer, her boyfriend, Ryan, is a comedian, her mom helps run the charity she started in memory of her father, and life is good.. or is it? Sebastian may be gone, but someone is still watching her and the other influencer who Sebastian brought into the spotlight.. and that person wants her to pay.

BOOK 2 OF THE TRILOGY
Again a nice twist to the story, but there was a lot of repetition, an awful lot. It felt even more rushed than the first book. Characters told us what we already knew, several times until I was screaming in frustration. His earlier works are a lot better. I didn’t like that it ended on a cliffhanger, so of course, I downloaded book 3.

Second in the Influencing trilogy, this book finds Emily and Mason and other key influencers moving on with their social media lives after a Sebastian dies. But they don’t know someone is setting them up for a big fall - a real page-turner until the surprising conclusion! Onto the third and final book now!

good second book

Lots of twists and turns and a crazy ending. I can’t wait to see how it will all play out and it’s great to show how influencers aren’t are dumb as their profiles make them seem. They’re using platforms not only to gain fame. But start businesses and make an impact

After loving the first book, I am glad the second one lived up to high expectations. The story played out well in a gripping way and I enjoyed the building of the characters we already knew. Somehow I didn’t predict the twist at the end but looking back it should have been obvious! Perfect cliffhanger to lead onto book 3

don’t like an unfinished story.

I like most of Daniel Hurst books but this one not so much.
So many words but not much action….then….the ending which was the best part failed to end leaving us to buy another book to find out what happened. So therefore I am extremely disappointed.

Disappointed

Was literally a rehash of the first book up to 92% in then we got a new chapter, and I guess the prologue counts as new. I feel deceived. Dear Amazon please may I have my money back?

This is the second book in the trilogy Influence/Influencer/Influenced but it failed to deliver as the first part had in that the story has now become too over the top and implausible. Two and a half stars.

The reason I didn't enjoy this book is that it's based around social media and I don't have an interest in that. I read the Influencer series because I love all of Daniel Hursts stand-alone books but this 1 just wasn't for me.

Good read

I didn’t realize that this is book 2 of a series, so I’ll have to go back and read the 1st book. I enjoyed the first half of the book better than the second, but still pretty entertaining.

Good twist about halfway through and at the end. But a lot of repetitiveness in the first half and throughout. Was able to skim a good bit and still stay on track. I am interested in reading the last book though to see how it plays out.
