It’s hard to deny a Devil … Especially one who promises you a night you’ll never forget.
One night. No exchanging names. No exchanging numbers.
That was the deal we made. I was moving away. I’d never see him again and I wanted to leave Sun Valley with zero regrets. Only I got more than I bargained for and nine months later delivered a bundle of joy complete with ten tiny fingers and ten perfect toes.
A year and a half later, I’m back. And this Devil is no longer the devil in my dreams. Now he haunts my nightmares. He’s savage. He’s sinful. And I’m barely a blip on his radar.
I came with good intentions. Determined to tell him the truth. But with so much on the line, I’m beginning to reconsider. Because making a deal with the devil again just might be another mistake.

The setting: Sun Valley
The Hero(s):Emilio - one of the Devils of Sun Valley High, he and his crew are the football stars with full rides to college. Emilio’s Mom is gone and his Dad is a drunk who only comes home once a week or so, but when he does he is usually drunk and abusive. Emilio and his brothers, who moved out are worried that his father will target his younger sister one of these times.
The heroine:Bibiana - she wanted to lose her virginity before she moved away, so she went to a party, found a hot guy and did the deed (Three times). Bibi had a son, Luis nine months later, and nine months after that, she moved back to Sun Valley and had to finish school at the public school instead of the Academy where she was previously.
The Love Story: When Bibi sees Emilio on her first day at Sun Valley High, she knows he is the boy that got her pregnant. Emilio sees Bibi as the girl who gave him one heavenly night and then ghosted him so he isn’t too happy with her. He is determined to make her pay.
This was a good story and had some crossover with the first book. Allie, the protagonist from the first book immediately befriends Bibi and they start hanging out together. So it is only a matter of time before the the rest of their group finds out Bibi has a son.
I genuinely liked the book and the characters though there were some things that happened that weren’t necessarily original. That didn’t bother me. For example there always seems to be a situation where another girl or guy wants one of the main characters and they set something up where the protagonist catches that schemer with the other main character in a compromising position.
I kinda like these scenes where jealousy plays a part and there are some hurt feelings until the truth comes out. The one thing I don’t like is that it always goes on a bit too long, with the person who had the scheming girl/guy all over them trying to explain and the hurt party not listening. They always end up sending texts begging for that person to hear what really happened. I just don’t get why they always need to explain in person. If it were me, I would explain in the text in all caps. So even if the other person barely saw the text they would see that it was a setup. I just don’t get bookish characters who don’t behave like real people sometimes.
Though that was a minor point in the story and doesn’t detract from the book. I loved how all of the friends acted like family. Roman and Allie played a big part in this one as did Dominique and Kacey (Kacey has something brewing with Dom but he won’t go there since she is Aaron’s 14 year old sister). Aaron (who once was a member of the Devils) but is now a bit on the outside for a reason I can’t quite remember but maybe was that he was dealing drugs for a while.
Aaron also was with someone near the end, though we don’t know who. I bet it is Monique (Dom’s sister and Bibi’s bestie) since these books rarely bring in new characters. Though I hope it is someone new, because I hate when a series won’t bring in a new character. But I will have to wait till books 3 & 4 to find out what happens with both Dom and Aaron.
I voluntarily read & reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts & opinions are my own.
I feel like I can never accurately articulate why a book is 5 stars right after I’ve read it. It just is…
However, I have reread this a couple of times, so I can string my words together a bit better 😅.
This book is a stand-alone but follows on from the previous stand-alone. I would say it’s a lot lighter than book 1, just because the prior triggers were quite heavy.
The plot twists in Book 1 were interlocked with this book, which made it even more explosive. It was soooo good.
👇A couple of spoilers👇
This book follows Emilio from B1 and introduces a new character named Bibi, who is familiar with this group already. After spending one night together, Bibi moves away and returns with a ‘surprise’. You can guess the surprise 😳
It delved deeper into Emilio's life and showed how he handled this situation on top of his other responsibilities. I was surprised by his POV because he was previously portrayed as the lovable, carefree, funny, charming, golden retriever of the group. You wouldn’t assume he masked all of these struggles.
It also highlighted the lives of teen (18) parents, who didn’t have any parental support. However, they had a lot of help from friends and siblings, which was honestly so lovely to read. It’s like they were all raising their son.
Bibi has to adapt to this support, as she now has a co-parent for the first time. She was originally very independent.
The way the author wrote about this baby just made him even more adorable. He just had the cutest moments and my heart couldn’t take it.
I don’t think this can be categorised as a sports romance, as it doesn’t focus on the ‘sport’ as a whole. It’s just something they play in high school and how their friend group got their ‘team’ name.
You can probably read this as a standalone, as any plot twists carried over are explained (props to the author for not leaving anyone in the dark 🔦), but I would read B1 first. It’s also a great book, just make sure to check the triggers.
This author has this way of telling the story in the most - I'm going to tell you how this goes in the real world - way.
One night of Bibiana being carefree and reckless changes her whole life. She becomes a teen mom. She's still a few months away from getting the degree and with her mother's help she's more than determined to achive her goal.
On the very first day of the school she looks right into his eyes, the eyes of the boy she spend that night with. Her son's father. They never exanged names, nothing. He had no idea about having a son, and she had no way to reach out to him.
Emilio's a player. He wants fun. But as soon as he finds out about Luis, he vows to be there for him. Always and forever. But the thing is, he also still craves Bibiana.
When some heavy things happen, and there's no mom to help, Bibiana just about steps up and takes care of everything with a baby on her hip. And that's taking a tool on her. Good thing she has a lot of friends and Emilio to help with the baby.
But... what about her?
Savage Devil is a page turner. So very well written. Emotional, full of heartacke and hope. Hypnotizing.
4/5 ⭐️ 2.75/5 🌶 (3/5 spice with bonus deleted scene)
Tropes: - one night stand - accidental pregnancy - secret baby - reformed playboy - protective + possessive hero - football player hero (kinda irrelevant) - virgin heroine - high school setting - diverse characters
POV: first person - dual
Type: interconnected stand-alone (book two)
Loss of 1 star: No epilogue and they don’t say “I love you” in the book unless you download the bonus deleted scene.
Rating: 3, average. I am saddened to say that this is the first accidental pregnancy book that I didn't like.
This was average at best but if I had read this back when I was in my Wattpad era I would have loved this.....maybe not my favourite though 🤣😐.
This book follows Emilio who has a one night stand with Bibiana but they don't exchange names. A year later she's back in town and is enrolled in the same high school as Emilio.
This book lacked depth😐....some parts were interesting but then it'd become boring. I wanted more but it gave me half a cup 😶😐. The three stars are for Luis the baby and the found family aspect.🙂
Firstly i'd like to say that I just recently discovered this author and now im a bit obbsessed lol. I decided to try Wicked devil simply because of the cover and im so glad i did, as once i started i could not put it down. So when I found out Emilio was getting his own story I knew i had to have it but damm what i was not expecting was for Emilio to give Roman and run for his money.
Emilio really was something else . Emilio and Bibiana first meet at a party and one things leads to another, the next morning Bibi is gone and that is the end of that or so they think. Flash foward 18 months later and Bibi is back with a secret, having known nothing of the guy she was with all those months ago, lets just say things sure get real interesting when she runs into him once again. Yes she has heard of The Devils who hasn't but she hasn't met them and when she does she sure is in for one hell of a surprise. Emilio is just as shocked as he has thought about her since she ghosted him but he is pissed how dare her just up and leave. Emilio isn't going to let her get away with it.
Things sure get interesting secrets are revealed some good some awful . And man did i want to slap BiBi's mum like wtf are you that desperate for a man woman, sorry but if that was my mum i would never be able to respect her or even really look at her after that (lucky its not my mum lol) This book takes you on one hell of a rollercoaster and it tears at your heartstrings, Emilio makes you swoon as he takes on a certain roll like it was just like having a glass of milk.
If you read Wicked Devil and loved Roman watch out here comes Emilio giving him a run for his money for your heart. Loved every second of this book, read in one sitting now need to wait to buy the paperback. Bring on Dominiques book!!!!
It was disturbing to think of these kids as being 16/17/18. Just no. Absolutely no. I knew I was reading something set in high school but I wasn’t expecting this level of… everything.
The hero was immature - obviously! He’s so young. He was impulsive and he needed a few years to grow up. I didn’t blame him, I blamed his age. For being 17, he was still kinda responsible but he just didn’t have anyone to tell him what to do and what not to. He didn’t have anyone to tell him what he should know or how to go about finding out. He was thrown into the deep end with no support or adult advice and supervision and considering that - he still turned out ok.
The heroine was more responsible and mature, which again understandable because she had to learn and adapt quickly to motherhood.
Continuing on my reread journey of all my 5 star reads, I decided Savage Devil was a must on the list. First time found I adored it, so I wanted to see if after reading more Tomance it would stand up to the rest of time.
It’s still a fun read, it just isn’t a deep read. I’ve read the whole series and love the found family aspect that this friendship group has. But everything is surface level.
I love the way Emilio loves Bibi, he’s a very step up guy for his age, but he’s had to be and we all know I adore an underdog, and I enjoyed the way his falling for her surprises him.
Keeping that in mind, on reading it a second time, it was way too insta-love for me. There wasn’t a whole lot of relationship development - they basically just fall in love on chemistry and the fact they produced a cute baby together. And don’t get me started on how Bibi trusts everyone with the most precious thing in her life, like instantaneously. I mean come on, I know she has to attend class, but handing her bubba to the guy she slept with a bestie after meeting him briefly a couple times *insert heavy eye roll here*.
But like I said it’s fun, and I did enjoy Allie’s story that runs through all the books, and even though this books described as a standalone I recommend you read the others first so that Allie’s story makes sense.
Favourite Quote:
“With a body like yours in a dress like that, you’re looking for something, and it’s not cookies at a bake sale.”
To Sum It Up:
Emilia is still a favourite Daddio of mine, but if character/relationship development is your thing in the romance world, this might not hit the mark.
*~*~*First Read*~*~*
Now this is what I am talking about!! This is the kind of book I want to read, ~ hot athletic intense partly alpha good guy … check ~ baby llama drama … check ~ strong af heroine … check ~ a small bit of OW/OM drama … check ~ a fabulous cast of side characters … check ~ a hea that had you worrying it wasn’t gonna happen … check ~ Emilio Chavez swooping into the Ultimate Book Boyfriend list .. double check!
I’m so glad I found Daniela Romero through the Hot Summer School Nights anthology. I pre-ordered her The Savage from the snippet in the anthology and thats what led me here the The Devils.
Now I realise I started with book 2 but let’s just say the minute I read the sample of this one ( I read all 3 samples before deciding to go with book 2 first) I knew Emilio Chavez was the guy I wanted. This is what Romero does she makes a hot af guy that makes your panties melt within seconds. And you just can’t let him go. It really is that simple. I see a hot broody dude .. I click “buy”.
Now that’s nothing compared to the force of nature that is Bibiana. She’s your perfectly crafted strong yet deeply vulnerable momma bear who you want to root for.
And the two of them together… F.I.R.E !! The steam between these two is palpable, I mean jeez throw the the damn ice over me now please!
It was what I wanted, had my heart in my throat the whole time because I felt that angst down to my devil soul.
the story is okay, but I just find the kids over the top. I mean, take them off the high school settings and this becomes your ordinary adult modern romance. I won't be continuing with the series, only because I generally find baby sister-big brother's best friend trope super annoying which is what is coming next.
"His smile is both savage and sinful. There's this energy to him that draws me in, but it also terrifies me."
Emilio's story is my favorite between (Roman, Emilio, Dom). I typically don't like pregnancy tropes but it was well done in this book.
- enemies to lovers - bullying - possessiveness, touch her & die - pregnancy trope - family/family drama - spice - friendship, great likeable side characters - highschool - happily ever after ending
the flirting/spice in this book is well done, it goes along with the story & is not just thrown in the book. Emilio Chavez is now on my book boyfriend list. There were times he did act immature but remember these are high school boys, they need time to mature. aside from that we do see development of Emilio's character. In book one we meet him as one of Roman's best friend in the Devils crew, he's funny, flirtatious, all the girls want him. In the second book we do get the same vibes from him from the first book however it does dive into a deeper side of Emilio. I enjoy highschool/college/prep/academy setting books with romance/spice & a good plot. This series is one of my favorites.
Bibiana wants just one night of having fun, shedding her good girl skin. What she gets is a gorgeous devil, one who leaves her with a beautiful, permanent reminder of that night. When they come face to face months (a year and a half) later, Emilio still hasn't been able to get the nameless, beautiful ghost out of his mind. He isn't happy she left him without a word, without a way of contacting her, so when he sees her again at his school, he's mad to say the least. But still wants her as badly as he did that night. How will he react to her little big secret?
Bibi and Emilio are seriously hot together, their chemistry is intense, and I loved how they worked through their issues together. There was drama, of course, after all, this is high school fiction, but well written and not too over the top. But honestly, the best part aside from Bibi and Emilio's awesome characters, is the family she gains when she and Emilio fall back into each other. For a girl who didn't have much of one, the fact that Emilio gave her his family was quite beautiful. This series is shaping up to be one of the best New/Young Adult series I've read in a long time. I can't wait for the next Devil to land on my Kindle.
Book two in the Devils of Sun Valley High this time we get Emilio and Bibi's story. This book can be read as a stand alone but it is best to be read in conjunction with book one to gain a deeper understanding off the characters.
Bibi is always reliable and responsible. When one reckless decisions has unintended consequences she is forced to grow up quickly.
Emilio is draw to Bibi, has a possesive and reckless streak but when Bibi needs him is ready to step up.
This slow burn story left a warm feeling that it is possible to find love in adversity.
I was hooked on Bibiana and Emilio’s story but was especially hooked on Bibiana, she was a young girl who got a surprise she didn’t intend you the one night she decides to let loose. Now 18 months later she’s back to look for Emilio who she spent the night with but doesn't even know his name and she’s not that happy when she finds him and finds out who he is and he is angry at her for his own reasons. Looking forward to the rest of this series
Daniela Romero has yet again written a story that pulls you in at the prologue and keeps you enthralled in the Savage Devils from the first word to the last.
Bibiana decides that she’s going to leave the good girl that she is behind for a night and embrace her inner rebel before she moves away. All it takes is a few words to feel the intoxicating chemistry between Bibiana and Emilio. No names are exchanged, no personal details are shared so when Bibiana finds out that the one night she let her inner rebel out gave her the greatest gift and no way of contacting the baby’s father.
Bibiana is back in town with a baby and she’s attending Sun Valley High. She’s full of fire and determination there is nothing that can hold her back from achieving anything she sets her mind to.
Emilio keeps emotion out of hookups but when it comes to his group of friends and his family he will protect them and let his inner Savage Devil out because when Emilio loves he does so with every piece of him. He doesn’t do long term and he definitely doesn’t do feelings until he comes face to face with the woman who has been a whirlwind of thoughts since the night they shared.
The chemistry between Emilio and Bibiana is palpable when they are face to face again but their reunion is nothing like Bibiana expected because Emilio has his sights set on her and his eyes are filled with hostility.
It’s only a matter of time before the ticking time bomb of chemistry explodes between Emilio and Bibiana. Emilio goes from playboy to only having eyes for the only woman that can bring him to his knees. Every second he spent with Luis made my ovaries quiver and my heart swoon.
This is a series of standalones but each book pulls you in deeper to the Devils of Sun Valley High world. The relationship between the devils and the people being added to their circle shows more depth with every word you read. I can’t wait for the next book in the series.
Savage Devil is a mesmerizing blend of intoxicating chemistry, a sassy heroine, a savage alpha hero with his own brand of swoon, witty banter, feels, a group of friends that are intensely loyal and the exact definition of “ride or die”.
I so wanna read more from this author. I absolutely loved this story.
This is Emilio and Bibianos story. One night changes everything for Bibiana. When the past comes back to haunt her she must step up. I had no doubts she could do this as she’s a strong character.
I’m so looking forward to reading more from this author.
So I skipped book one in this series and I'm glad I did that because there's mention about a sexual assault that happened in that book. And yes, I read this because I wanted something sporty with a pinch of accidental pregnancy.
I didn't realise how young the characters were..but barely 16-year-old Bibiana decides to have one night of being a rebel and goes to a party with her friend to lose her virginity, the night before she's moving to another town. I mean..seriously? The amount of books that hold *female virginity* at high standards is a LOT.
Anyways, she ends up meeting a guy and they instantly have an attraction and agree to not share names or any kind of personal info and do the deed (Yep, you see where this is going huh?!). The book then jumps to 18 months later with Bibiana and her family (her mom and step-dad) moving back to their old town, but yep..she now has a 9-month-old baby. She's annoyed that she never got to know the name of the guy she spent the night with (she decided to do so) and she's hoping to maybe meet him randomly so that Louis, her son, has the chance to grow up with a dad. She moves into a new school for her senior year and lo and beholds, Emilio, the father of her son who is also a senior in the same school. His manwhore reputation and cocky attitude prevents her from coming clean to him about Louis AND he's also pissed with her for "leaving" him that night. After a *certain mess unfolds*, he finds out that he's Louis's dad and surprisingly "steps up" by demanding visitation rights. Added to that he wants more than being just a dad and wants more with Bibiana. The rest of the story is a mixture of miscommunication, popping up insecurities and a weirdly absent mom that's never followed up on!
So the *certain mess that unfolds* is basically where book one is connected to this book. The heroine in book one is sexually assaulted by unidentified men as a result of her dad's business dealings that went wrong. You find out in book 2 that one of the men involved was Bibiana's stepdad. Her mother is adamant that the love of her life is innocent and leaves her teenage daughter AND barely one-year-old baby to fend for themselves after her husband is taken into custody (he's hospitalised after getting beat up by the hero from book 1). Her mom doesn't even listen to how her stepdad confessed *in front of* Bibiana and also *acted all cocky* about the assault! The story just continues with nothing being mentioned about her mom or if she ever realised the truth! That's what I also found annoying about this book..there's no epilogue.. like sure you can understand what will eventually happen between Bibiana and Emilio..but other than that..no other answers.
This book although advertised as a sports romance, isn't one. That was disappointing! But I loved how responsible Emilio became and quickly took up the dad role without needing time to freak out! I loved reading about how Bibiana had to bring Louis to school with her and how she had to attend classes with him and how Emilio's friends helped her out whenever they had a block hour (in one scene, her professor picks Louis up when he was being too fussy and continues teaching the class with her son in his hands!). That was something different! Like the book showed all the struggles of a teen mom and didn't shy away from anything.
A light and breezy read without too much drama!

This book is a standalone but has characters from the previous book.
Daniela Romero has done it again by written a story that pulls you in and keeps you enthralled with the Savage Devils of Sun Valley High.
Bibiana decides that she’s going to leave the good girl that she is behind for one night and let out her inner rebel before she moves away from Sun Valley. When she meets Emilio there is instant chemistry and she knows that he’s the one she want to have a one night of fun with. No names are exchanged, no personal details are shared. Bibiana finds out that the one night she let her inner rebel out, giving her the greatest gift, there was no way of contacting with the father.
𝙎𝙥𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙙 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙬𝙞𝙣𝙜𝙨, 𝙢𝙖𝙧𝙞𝙥𝙤𝙨𝙖. 𝙁𝙡𝙮.
Bibiana is back in town with a baby and she’s attending Sun Valley High.
Emilio is a hit with the girls but doesn’t do relationships or feelings. When it comes to his group of friends and his family he loves and protect them. When he loves he does so with every piece of himself. When he comes face to face with the woman who has been a whirlwind of thoughts since the night they shared he can’t get her out his head but what’s to mess with her for leaving with out a word!
The chemistry between Emilio and Bibiana is ecstatic. when they are face to face again their reunion is nothing like Bibiana expected!
Emilio goes from playboy to only having eyes for the only woman that can bring him to his knees. He will do anything for her and their son! He is such an amazing dad and my heart was bursting with love!
Savage Devil has chemistry, a sassy heroine, a savage alpha hero with his own brand of swoon, witty banter, all the feels, a group of friends that are intensely loyal!
Before I begin my review for Savage Devil (Devils of Sun Valley High book 2) by Daniela Romero, I would personally like to thank the author and tlknrdy2me.com for the opportunity to read this ARC and I have reviewed it honestly.
It was her last night in Sun Valley and Bibiana was ready to set herself free. One night to give her innocence away. And so she gives herself to a devil, never to see him again. That was the plan, anyway. 18 months later she's back, with ten additional fingers and toes. Returning to school as a single mum with body insecurities and gaps in her education was hard enough. Then he strolled through the halls. Join Bibi as she navigates school, a baby, a dysfunctional family and... him.
Savage Devil features, but is not limited to, the following themes: ○ New Adult ○ Bully romance ○ Second chance romance ○ Teen mum ○ High school ○ Disfunctional families
My overall rating for Savage Devil is…
5 Stars!
Wicked Devil was one of my top 5 favourite reads of 2020. Savage Devil had a lot to live up for... and Romero did not disappoint. Savage Devil was a lot lighter then its predecessor, but still had that personal touch to it that absolutely messes with a readers emotions. I was sad to see Allie and Roman stepping back from the mains, but loved how their stories still progressed in the sequal, albeit their minor rules. I adored Bibi and Luis, who are new to the series, and, of course, Mr Emilio was as devilishly delicious as ever. Romero has this empowering, written voice that craves to be heard and I hear her! I know others will too.
Savage devil follows Bibiana and Emilio. Bibiana, a good girl decided to become reckless just once before she moved and then she met Emilio and the party. They had one night stand without knowing anything about each other. Then, one day they met each other again and their story begins.
TBH, this book had the pregnancy trope which I hate but this book is an exception. IT IS A WELL-DONE!!
The author really good in delivering this kind of trope. Usually this kind of trope is such a turn off because sometimes it can get very annoying but this book is not anything like that.
I love the MC, Bibiana especially. She is very strong, independent and a good mom indeed. I love how she doesn’t give in to Emilio easily. She wants him to works for her trust despite his well-known reputation as a playboy. I love Emilio but I’ll admit he can be “A” grade assholes sometimes. He changed btw throughout the story so it was okay for me!
This book such a page turner, very entertaining, a lot of tension and emotional indeed. I felt really bad what Bibiana need to go through. Such a strong woman. Last but not least, this book is enthralling!!
Tropes: - Accidental Pregnancy - Possessive Hero - Sport romance -Dual POV - Secret Baby - One night Stand - Playboy redemption - Diverse Characters
IT IS ADVISABLE TO CHECK THE TW AT FIRST BEFORE READ THE BOOK
Savage Devil is the second book in the Devils of Sun Valley High series. This book features Bibiana and Emilio. This book is told from dual points of view. The book starts out with Bibiana wanting to get rid of her virginity and she is moving, so at a party she does a random hookup, but they don't exchange names or phone numbers. Then she left. 18 months later and she's back and she has a 9 month old son. She knows the father is around, but not sure of his age or if she will even see him again.
Once back at school she realizes the father of her son is a Devil. One of the most popular guys at school and he gets a lot of attention towards girls. He uses it against Bibiana for leaving him after their night together. Emilio finds out about their son Luis and doesn't take it well that she hid it from him. He wants to be a part of Luis's life. They start to have feelings for each other but Bibiana is scared Emilio will leave. They have both had rough pasts and Bibiana thinks everyone is going to leave her because of it.
Something happened in book one, and part of it comes to light in this book, and it makes it harder for Bibiana and her baby, and to go to school. In the end can Bibiana learn to trust Emilio and the fact that he will be there for her and Luis? Can Emilio give up his partying ways and be there for Bibiana? So much happened in this book, and it was great!
I really loved this book, and can't wait for the next one in the series!
Out of the 3 devils he was the one that I was least intrigued with from the first book.
Roman and Allie's story was so good but I was more interested in Dom and his story after everything that happened in Wicked Devil with him.. However, now that I have read Emilio's story I am in love with him. I had no idea how much I would love his story, or him for that matter. He has been through so much and he has such a big heart even though he doesn't want to show it most of the time.
Bibiana has had a hard go at life but she is a strong girl, and she can handle it.
I don't want to give the story away so I'm going to apologize now for the vagueness but I loved the family dynamic between the friends in this story and I loved the way they all came together to do their part to help. The interaction and love and loyalty was great! I wasn't expecting all the turn of events that played out in this book but they made this story. It was so good and real and I can't say it enough.. I loved it.
It had been a while since I read the first book in this series "Wicked Devil”, so before starting "Savage Devil" I had to have a quick peek at my review so I could refresh my memory and when I read the review I was like Ooh, I loved the first book and so I was excited to give Book #2 a try and OMFG this was amazing. Often the sequels just aren't as good as the first and you can feel slightly let down but for me personally, Savage Devil was a favourite and just as good and even maybe slightly better than the first book. The book starts with us meeting Bibi and her friend Monique whose brother Dominique is a Sun Devil. Bibi is about to move away and so she has one night of freedom and goes to a Sun Valley High party. At the party, she meets a guy - no names are exchanged and they have a wild night. Bibi then moves away and the book jumps 18 months down the track. Bibi has a big secret and now as she is starting Sun Valley High, she is faced with the guy from that night and it turns out he is a player. We are then reunited with the gang from Book #1 as they became Bibi's friends and when Emilio (the guy) does discover her secret - will he be there with arms open or is he just a player? I have to admit, I really felt for Emilio and started to love his character as deep down he wasn't actually a bad boy - he just had a lot on his plate. The other storyline that features in Savage Devil is Allie getting some closure on the incident that happened in Book #1. I am now looking forward to reading the next book in this series when Daniela releases and seeing what she brings to the table for Dominique and Kasey's story.
Savage Devil is the 2nd book in the Devils of Sun Valley High series. This is Emilio and Bibi story and I enjoyed it. I liked these two together, they had intense chemistry from the start. They've both been through so much and I liked how big a part the secondary characters played in their lives and the close bond they had. The story was emotional and touching and will have you turning the pages to find out what happens next. This second chance romance touches on teenage pregnancy and dysfunctional families and was told in dual POV. It was a good addition to the series and I would recommend it to lovers of YA romance.
Quite a bit of this just doesn't feel like a bunch of high school kids dealing with IRL things. The things to do with Jar didn't sit well. She knows he wants more, and he keeps telling her he wants more, but she's still leaning on him and inserting herself in his life. Just doesn't seem fair to him. I will say that a lot of times, their maturity level is on par with high school. Also, I didn't realize that Casey was FOURTEEN. That makes some of the things I read feel so ick.
Real, touching and utterly inspiring, Savage Devil is a beautiful, messy, real life story.
It's a token of great writing when the reader finds themselves so emotionally entuned to the story the characters pop off the page, a feat that's even more surprising and impressive for a new authors, but one which Daniella manages fully.
I loved the love in this story. The sense of kinship and support from both blood and found family, working together to create a strong foundation Emilio and Bibi could build their dreams upon. It's inspirational and swoon worthy, and made my heart happy. I can't wait to read more from this talented emerging authors and our devilishly awesome boys.
This is one where if I tell you anything, I'll ruin a really fun and fantastic story where the past comes back but not to haunt definitely to change lives in ways that Emilio and Bibiana couldn't have possibly dreamt of.
Daniela makes these characters pop. It's like seeing a million dollar diamond in living color. You will feel the ups, the downs and feel personally invested.
The pace, the scenes, the steam and the revelations are so well done it will literally melt in your mouth. I received an ARC for an honest and voluntarily review.
