Drawn together by the future, torn apart by the past.

Welcome to Seattle, the Emerald City and home to The Single Moms of Seattle. Three sexy single ladies who drink a ton of wine every Saturday night, bitch about life, have each other's backs, are the ultimate mama bears, and hope to one day, just maybe find love again.
This is Lauren's story ...

Being a single mom was never the plan for Lauren.
Neither was having a baby in a car all alone on a gridlocked interstate.
Thank goodness for sexy cops who are heroes even on their days off.

One of the good guys—or at least trying to be—Isaac can’t get the woman whose baby he helped deliver out of his head.
He sees it all with Lauren.
A life. A family. A future.
But superstition and a family curse have her rebuffing him, even though she looks at him with a need that mirrors his own.

When Lauren finally gives into her heart, the passion between them explodes.
Life isn’t just good, it’s great.
Until Isaac realizes their history was connected in a way he never expected.
He ruined her life without even knowing it.
Can he confess the truth to Lauren without hurting the one person who has finally made him feel human again? Without demolishing her world, and his, in the process?

**Note: This book can be read as a standalone. It includes lots of steamy scenes, cursing, a sexy alpha male, and of course as with all my books, this has an HEA and no cliffhanger or cheating. If you liked my single dad series, then you’ll love this spin-off trilogy.

A Canadian West Coast baby born and raised, Whitley is married to her high school sweetheart and together they have two beautiful daughters and a fluffy dog. She spends her days making food that gets thrown on the floor, vacuuming Cheerios out from under the couch and making sure that the dog food doesn't end up in the air conditioner. But when the kids are at school and it's not quite wine o'clock, Whitley sits down, avoids the pile of laundry on the couch, and writes.

A lover of all things decadent; wine, cheese, chocolate and spicy erotic romance, Whitley brings the humorous side of sex, the ridiculous side of relationships and the suspense of everyday life into her stories. With single dads, firefighters, Navy SEALs, mommy wars, body issues, threesomes, bondage and role-playing, Whitley’s books have all the funny and fabulously filthy words you could hope for.

I enjoyed this story. Lauren and Isaac made an emotional connection and then found themselves wanting to get to know each other. They both had their issues, but I loved that Lauren was determined to be in charge of her own life. She was also willing to rely on her friends and accept that you can't do everything yourself. Isaac was such a sweet man. He wanted to help Lauren as best he could. As the story moved along, I got pulled into their relationship, and it was worth it. I recommend this story.

I received a copy of this story through Enticing Journey Book Promotions, and this is my unsolicited review.

Lauren has been anxiously awaiting the arrival of her baby but going into labor and unable to get the medical help she needed was not part of her plan. Someone must have been watching out for her as Isaac was there when she needed someone the most but she never expected to see him again let alone that the delivery wouldn’t be the end between them but rather a beginning.

Isaac is a protector which suits his job as a police officer to perfection. When he delivered Lauren’s baby the experience and the woman inspired feelings in him that he has never felt before and he knew that walking away would be the biggest mistake of his life. He couldn’t be happier to be close to mother and son, but will both their pasts destroy the future they could have together?

Hot chemistry, witty banter and all the feels as Lauren and Isaac realize that anything worth having is worth fighting for.

Complimenti all'autrice!
Valutazione: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Spicy: 🌶🌶🌶
Emozione: 💘💘💘💘💘

Lauren never planned on being a single mother, but now that her boyfriend has abandoned her she is on sort of on her own. She has some help from her other single mom friends.
When she goes into labour while stuck in traffic was another thing she didn’t plan on doing. But hey surprise. This is how she meets off duty cop Isaac Fox.

Isaac had a terrible childhood with an abusive father and he was the one always protecting his mother and his sister. He has always wanted to be a cop and how this is what he lives for, so he doesn’t have time for anything else in his life. But helping Lauren deliver her baby he maybe thinks there is something he is missing out on.

But Lauren’s life hasn’t been the easiest either. With a father who was a cop as well and died on duty she doesn’t know if being with Isaac is the right thing for her and her baby. Although the heart wants what the heart wants.

What a sweet story. I really enjoyed this Sunday afternoon read. It will definitely play on your emotions and touch those heart strings. Lots of sweetness, but some twists and turns that will have you intrigued.

Steamy, intense feel-good story. This novel is a sequel to one I already finished about Celeste and Max. I didn't think that it would be easy to maintain the momentum in subsequent stand-alones but the story of Lauren and Isaac most definitely delivers. The author's ability to describe a series of scenes and tension points are so absorbing that the reader feels as if it is being watched on the screen. Brilliant! All the characters, down to Penny the kitten is very well developed, described, and likeable. I loved that these series are all about everyday people, rather than billionaire CEOs and their beautiful, smart but poor assistants. The characters all have jobs that the reader can relate to and may have similar experiences. Lauren, a single mother gets caught on a gridlocked interstate in a storm and according to Murphy's Law, goes into labour. Totally helpless, in a panic, along comes her Sir Galahad in the shape of handsome sergeant Isaac Fox, who manages to summon a midwife from one of the cars in the now considerable congestion. Our hero comes closer to witnessing the raw realities, uncertainties, and the relentless progression of childbirth at any circumstance than he had ever hoped to do. Their story picks up a couple of weeks later and we can see how gratitude, appreciation, friendship blossoms into an intense physical and emotional need to belong together. Just when the reader thought that all is well that ends well, the author delivers a dramatic turn of events that will knock your socks off. The emotional fall-out was beautifully handled, even if the pretext for me was unlikely. Nevertheless, our capacity to love is much greater than our willingness to hold onto hate and our deserving couple have their happy ending. I am hooked and want to know what happened to all their friends in other stand-alone novels. I would highly recommend this very steamy, emotionally charged feel-good story.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Cox's books are so engaging and easy to read. Her Seattle friends group grows with each new release from the single dads put together by divorce lawyer Liam first inviting his ex-clients to Saturday night poker. These men's new loves now meet together on Saturday nights, too, and have inspired Liam's sister Bianca to start a single mom's wine sharing together with two others in her condo development. Hot For a Cop is Lauren's story, whose child is still in utero, past due, and still denying her a share of the wine. She's started serious labor in the middle of a traffic jam and when she tried to get to the back seat the terrible windy rain storm knocked her off her feet attracting an off-duty policeman to her aid. Isaac handled everything, finding a midwife also stuck, getting their vehicles off the highway, supporting her during the delivery, calling an ambulance, getting her car towed, and getting the baby named after himself! A couple weeks later finds himself at Lauren's home on Christmas eve loaded down with presents for his namesake and a big, beautiful bouquet for the new Momma. Being a confident first responder and a generous Santa to a postpartum mom is just the beginning of this policeman's talents as he's invited for Christmas dinner after he gets off work the next day. He is just as handy with mashing the potatoes, taking the turkey out of the oven and carving it, setting the table, and plating the servings when little Ike needs his mother's attention. The developing relationship is hindered by a curse the women in her family have with cop husbands killed on the job but time will prove a connection between the two much more damaging and off-putting! This book is full of great rejoiners, a scary accident, secrets revealed, and plenty to keep the pages turning! Highly recommended.

Another great addition to the Single Moms of Seattle collection (a spin off of the Single Dads of Seattle series) by Whitley Cox. While you'll definitely want to read the first one in the series (and the Dad's series!) this book is a standalone!

What’s that saying "we make plans and God laughs"? Well when she winds up delivering her baby on the side of the road,, in grid lock traffic, Lauren is pretty sure the good Lord is doing some laughing! But thankfully he sent her a hot cop to help her bring her bundle of joy into the world.

Bringing a total stranger's baby into the world is an experience that bonds you, at least that's what Isaac thinks. She did name the baby after him, it's only right that he should check in! At least that's how he rationalizes going to see the woman he can't get out of his head. Their time together quickly grows to friendship and then to more until Isaac discovers a devastating truth about their pasts.

I freaking adore Isaac. He's seriously the sexiest, sweetest alpha out there and then you handed him a baby? Come on, have mercy! Lauren is funny and fierce and the perfect match for this sexy cop. I love how they navigated life's obstacles and were there for each other. Definitely a must read in this new series!

Some authors can make me read anything without even reading the blurb.
Whitley Cox is one of them. Her previous books had made me a fan and I can't get enough.
Her writing is hot and wild, sweet, and intense with some hot stuff into the mix.
Hot For Cop is her latest release and it's the second book from the Single Moms of Seattle series.
Read Hot for Teacher first and then grab this one.
This new book explores the lives of Lauren and Isaac.
Lauren is a single Glenn mother to be. Her baby wasn't planned but she would do everything for the baby. Thank God she has her best friends.
In a traffic jam, her water broke and...
Isaac is a cop. Since forever that he wanted to be a cop and he loved what he did.
In a traffic jam...
So perfect, so intense, so freaking awesome.
This book nailed it in every way and you need to read it.
Perfect plot, very well written, super engaging, and intense.
This book started perfect and ended even better.
The story was intense and super interesting.
Each chapter was even more appealing than the latest.
Once I started to read it I couldn't put it down, I simply couldn't.
They were perfect for each other and it was perfect to witness the bond they shared, the way they grew up with each other.
And guys... Hot stuff alert. Super hot...
Overall, it was another masterpiece. That's for sure.
Perfect Whitley. Perfect story and I can't wait to read the next one.I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

Loving the continuation of this series! In the second installment in this series, we get to know Lauren’s story after being introduced to her in the previous book. Lauren is pregnant from a hookup and the father doesn’t want to be in the picture so she decides to take on motherhood by herself. While her friends are supportive and there for her, she somehow goes into labor on the highway during a traffic jam! Thankfully, there is a cop in the traffic as well that is able to jump in and assist her. After the baby is born and she is able to get to the hospital, Lauren looks for Isaac, the cop that helped deliver the baby, and for some reason he cannot get her out of his mind. As they start to spend time together and get to know each other, the chemistry and feelings start to develop and they embark on an unusual relationship that really works for them. All that comes to a grinding halt after Lauren and Isaac realize that their pasts intertwine and not in the best way, but thankfully after things are put out into the open and discussed for the first time, this couple makes their way back to each other. I was so happy that Lauren got her HEA after everything she went through, and I loved that Isaac was the one for her because she helped to heal him as well!
I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

This is the 2nd book in this awesome series and is Lauren and Isaac’s story. Lauren is driving home from a doctors appointment when she ends up sitting on the gridlocked interstate, and when she goes into labour and Isaac who is a cop and is also stuck comes to her aid, and even manages to get a midwife to assist in the birth of her baby boy who she name Isaac after the man who saved them. Isaac has a tough life as he was abused by his father, and the last thing he is looking for is any relationship in any form or shape, but he and Lauren are drawn to each other and the chemistry is undeniable. Lauren is also convinced that her family is cursed as all of the husbands have been cops and were killed in the line of duty, Do these two overcome the challenges in front of them and take a chance on love? This is a well written story which is intense, intriguing, emotional, steamy, and with twists which all lead to an in-depth plot which is all-consuming and is a humorous and entertaining read. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I recommend for all.

I received this book with the understanding that I could leave a voluntary and honest review.

In this book we get Lauren Green's story and are introduced to Isaac Fox. When this book opens we find that Lauren is overdue for her baby to come and boy is she ready for her pregnancy to be over. What happens next well no one could predict. On one of the worst rainstorms she is stuck since the interstate has a traffic jam that has no signs of letting up and isn't this the best time to have a baby alone in your car. She does get lucky though while trying to move from the front seat to the back seat off duty officer Isaac sees her get out of her car and goes to investigate. Not only that he finds her a midwife to help assist with her labor. Isaac was just looking to get home and get some sleep after his shift he never thought he would be assisting a woman through her labor and have her baby named after him. When they meet again it is two weeks later and the more time he spends around her the more he wants to. There are secrets that have to be revealed yet on both sides. Will it be a HEA when it all comes out or are the secrets bigger then their feelings?

This is another amazing story by this author. It is part of a series but can be read as a stand alone. I would however recommend reading them in order so you don't ruin any surprises. There are ups and downs I really want to tell you about, oh do I want to tell you so much more. However I don't want to ruin the story for any other readers. I will say this book will have you locking the doors, ordering in and not able to put it down until you read those two words "the end". I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone.

I've been a fan of Whitley Cox since the first book of her The Single Dads of Seattle series, so I was over the moon when she created this spin off since I couldn't see how I was going to live without my single dads.  Anyway, this book starts off with a baby inside of Lauren, and boy her unfiltered foul mouth had me rolling since she was over being pregnant, but little did she know how that baby was going to make an appearance in such a challenging way.  See, she was on her way back from an appointment when traffic came to a stand still, so luck would have it that she would meet the perfect man (a cop named Isaac) for her while she was trying to give birth in the back of her car.  And things just took off from there.  She & Isaac were perfect for each other, but their journey was not an easy one since their past demons have more in common than they would ever dream.  Will it derail their relationship when it all comes to light?!  You'll have to hit those one click buttons to find out! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO ALL!

I loved the single dads of Seattle and I have to tell you the single mums are fast becoming favourites as well While both of these series had some wonderful funny moments I think this one had for more humour than any other. This is the story of Single mum to be Lauren She is on her way home from a appointment with her doctor for the child that just doesn't want to be born That is until she is the middle of a traffic jam and her waters break knowing she needs more room she tries to move into the back of her car Isaac is an off duty cop who is in the same traffic jam and he sees that situation unwind he knows that Lauren will need help and after knocking on a few car windows he finds a midwife who tells him that a baby is about to be born soon he has their cars at the side of the road and he is helping with a birth. The baby is a beautiful boy and Lauren names him after her saviour little does she know that he is about to become much more in her life than a chance meeting Can they have a future together and is Isaac about to become a dad. You will have to read to see

Was so looking forward to reading Lauren's story after the teaser in the last book. Two weeks after Isaac helped deliver Lauren's baby in the back of her car he couldn't get her off his mind he asked his friends for advice about seeing her again, they helped him get gifts for the baby & mom. When he went to her house there was an instant connection between them & he was so good with baby Ike he was her perfect man it was also like fate finding out they both shared the same friends frim the single dad's club. They had only spent two days together but he was a cop & she swore she'd never love a cop after her dad, grandad & other men in her life were killed doing their jobs & she couldn't bare to go through with the pain of worrying whether he'd come home at night so they agreed to be just friends. They both knew they wanted more as the sexual chemistry between them was off the charts & her friends could see it too, there was lots of friendly, funny, sassy banter between them but Isaac wanted more. He was not giving up on them being in a relationship & eventually got her to push back the 'family curse' of being with a cop, there was also a bond between Isaac & baby Ike. Just as it seemed like they were heading towards a happy ever life with their little family after telling him about what to the men in her life a bomb was dropped. After she told him this his whole world started crumbling & his past was about to ruin his future with the love of his life, this was a huge shock as no way did I see this coming.
This story started off sweet, funny, hot but then emotional heartbreaking that he had me welling up a couple of times & after what he told Lauren about his past I hoped they'd overcome it but wasn't sure if they could which had me finishing the book in the early hours of the morning as I needed to know how it ended.
Even though this is only book 2 & I loved this I can't wait for the rest.

"Was it Fate that brought Lauren and Issac together? Whatever you believe in, these two were made for one another.

Issac helps deliver Lauren’s baby in her on the side of the road, for days he can’t her and that sweet baby off his mind. A few weeks later he gets a letter from Lauren so he sets out to find her, since he a local cop its easy to do. Little do they know how intertwined there lives really are, will they be able to survive the past trauma’s and move on with one another? There is drama for sure, a little angst and the off the charts chemistry we all love….and let’s not leave out all the sexy times, wink, wink.

This book was so much fun to read, Whitley Cox has a way with words, l love the idea of these 3 single mom’s that get together for wine nite. "

This is the second book in the trilogy. I loved this book so much. I couldn't put it down. I loved Lauren and Isaac. Isaac is prime book boyfriend material. He solidified himself on my top book boyfriend list by rescuing Penny and what a great cat dad he is. Total swoony worthy material he makes especially when he is there for Lauren and how he treats her and her son. Lauren and Isaac are forever contacted by the night her little boy comes into the world. This book has a great Christmas scene that I just loved. It made my heart happy. Some of my favorites from The Single Dads of Seattle make cameos. That's a super bonus for me. I can't recommend this one enough. It delivers on the steam, but it also has plenty of heart and feels.

Isaac & Lauren

I freakin' loved this story!

It wasn't bad enough the sperm-donor left when he found out she was pregnant, having the baby on the freeway in a traffic jam--alone was too much. Too much until a hero stepped in. Off duty, Isaac saw she was in trouble and stepped in. After being there for the amazing event he came to visit her and the tiny baby and fell in love--with both of them.

Lauren wasn't in need of a man. She sure didn't need a cop in her life. But this one was hot and sweet and loved her baby. It had been a long time since any man had been so good to her. Could she resist him?

He wanted to talk her out of fear of being with a cop. Things were going well until the past intruded. How could it be?

This group of people was the kind of friends who are family everyone wants to have. The story is sweet, hot, sad, shows the evil in the world as well as the good. I strongly recommend this to anyone who wants to smile at the end of the story. There is plenty of steam and while it is a part of a series it stands alone as well.

He answers the call and soon becomes her hero

Hot for a Cop is the second book in The Single Moms of Seattle series and is another great book by this talented author. This emotional and completely engaging story of l.auren and Issac, and baby Ike who brings them together is a wonderful read. Lauren is in need of a hero and protector and Issac steps into that role for her in a very crucial way. It may only be for a few hours but they share a connection that cannot be forgotten. Slowly they grow closer there are also things holding them both back, things from their pasts. They will need to take some time, go a bit slowly, learn to trust and have faith that they can have a happy future together as a family.

I received a copy of this book for my honest review. My opinions are all my own.

Very entertaining story between Lauren and Isaac. Lauren somehow gets stuck in the middle of a traffic jam. Isaac is a police officer that comes to her aid and helps her with the birth. He can't forget about her and the baby and goes to visit her. They have both been hurt in one way or another and she's scared to death to try. Issac finds a kitten and he has Lauren watch the kitten while he works and they grow closer. But then Isaac finds that there is a shocking connection in their past. Will it destroy the relationship that they are working on? A great plot and I loved the connection between the two characters. Can't wait for book 3. Book two in The Single Moms of Seattle series Hot for a Cop is Lauren and Isaac's story and it had me from chapter 1. Its a story full of laughs, secrets and heartache, this one definitely tugs at the heartstrings.

Lauren is about to become a single mom, literally whilst stuck in a traffic jam when hot cop Isaac comes to her rescue.
She's definitely not looking for a relationship but she and Isaac have a connection and soon the lines become blurred but Lauren's past means she never had any intention of falling for a cop and when Isaac's secrets are revealed are they over before they've begun.

Such a well written story which caused tears a time or two. I can't wait to read Bianca's story next.

I am truly loving this Single Moms of Seattle series. I was wondering how single and very pregnant Lauren Green would find her HEA and oh how I loved Isaac!
When single and very pregnant mom Lauren heads out on her drive home she could have never imagined that she would get stuck in traffic, go into labor and meet the two men that would change the direction of her life. Crawling in to the back seat and hoping for for the best and then he appears.
Isaac is an off duty police officer that realizes right away that the car in front of him is in trouble. He never expected to find a very pregnant young woman ready to give birth.

Ms Cox does it again! She writes the best series, this one being the single moms of Seattle. Lauren is nine plus months pregnant when she gets caught in a traffic situation during a storm, this girl needs some good karma! Issac a off duty cop comes to her rescue and with the help of another motorist they deliver the baby. Well this sets the beginning of a huge emotional bond between the two. They both could use a friend. But what if it could be more!?!? What a fabulous romantic story. I loved loved this book!

A wonderful romance read!

An enjoyable romance read from start to finish. This is my favorite by far of the series, a well written storyline with great characters what’s not to love. I loved the twist in the story that just gave it that extra something to give it more emotions. Isaac’s is so swoon worthy, his character does not disappoint strong, hot, and so sweet. Chemistry between Lauren and Isaac is so cute and steamy and throw in a new baby this addition to the series will have you cheering for their HEA. I can’t wait for Bianca’s story!

When Lauren went into labor on the freeway in a traffic jam she never expected she would find the man of her dreams. Isaac an off duty cop comes to the rescue and helps Lauren in her time of need. Neither expecting that they would ever see each other again but at the same time neither can forget the other. I loved the way the author brought Lauren and Isaac together. This is a beautiful love story filled with humor, drama, steam, likable characters and a great HEA. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.

3.75 stars

Lauren is pregnant from a boyfriend who took off when she told him he was. Now she is due, no, overdue, and while stuck in a traffic jam her water breaks. It is a fast moving birth, and she needs help. In comes Issac and a midwife he finds and in the back seat of her pathfinder she gives birth to little, Ike. Named after her hero.

Issac can't stop thinking of the baby and his mom and after two weeks goes to visit, with words of advice from his friends. The two become fast friends. Soon more than friends, just when everything is going great her past and his will collide and there just may be no coming back from it.

i loved the story, the characters but honestly when we learn the climactic plot twist, it is just over in what seems like no time for how severe a twist it is thus, for me, taking away such a great twist. This should have been worked deeper, better IMO.

5 star review Hot For A Cop (The Single Moms of Seattle #2) by Whitley Cox

I loved the first book in this series but oh my stars, am I in love with Isaac and Lauren’s story.
Whitley Cox had me hooked from the first to the last page; I read this in one go as I simply couldn’t put it down.

Their meet cute was unconventional and the twists and turns that were woven throughout the story only added to my enjoyment. Every Saturday night Lauren and her two girlfriends, meet for wine and chat, it is something that they have come to rely on to give themselves that break that they need and opportunity to vent.

Poor Lauren, pregnant and with a due date that has been and gone is horrified when she suddenly goes into labor right in the middle of a traffic jam, with no sign of it ending in time. Isaac rides in to save the day and this is the start of a beautiful friendship, with her best friends on the phone, Isaac for support and a midwife helping, Lauren gives birth in the middle of bedlam.

This story made me laugh, made me tear up and had me on the edge of my seat at times. It was steamy and emotional and I loved the relationship that Lauren had with the other women. I fell hard and fast for Isaac, he was totally swoon worthy and I cannot wait for the book in the next series.

I loved the friendship that developed between Isaac and Lauren as their relationship blossomed into love. However, when one heck of a twist was introduced I feared that they might not get the happily ever after that they both deserved.

Will Lauren and Isaac come to terms with the past and in doing so forge a path together? One click and find out.

I voluntarily reviewed an arc of this book and I absolutely loved it, well-written with a sweet emotional storyline, Lauren meets Isaac when she goes into labour during a storm in a major standstill traffic jam. He helps the new mom while she has her baby and later goes to visit her and his little namesake. There friendship soon deepens to love but can they overcome a terrible tragedy from their pasts to have a HEA?...

Wonderful story, second book in The Single Moms of Seattle series, it can be read as a standalone story. Definitely recommend this book, I can't wait for the next book.

I enjoyed this new "Single Moms of Seattle" story. It is nicely developed and well written. Lauren and Isaac’s story covers the spectrum of emotions. I was laughing one minute and in tears the next. The story is witty and captivating as well as emotional and full of passion. I love the characters and the chemistry between them is off the charts. What a huge plot twist! These two are connected by past events and WOW!!
