I liked this one waaaay more than the first book.

So I hated Doc in the first book. I figured this would be a rage read for me because I hated him that much but what do you know I actually loved him so much in this book!!! He’s such a sweetheart to Dawn/Meredith. I was not expecting that!! I also really liked Dawn/Meredith as well. She was a great FMC who was super sweet and not annoying lol.

The plot was actually very more enjoyable than the first one as well.

The only thing that bugged me that I forgot from the first book. The FMC is not only the first to say I love you but the only one. For some reason this author only has the FMC say I love you. The MMC NEVER says it? He treats her like he does but he never says it back?!!! So crazy to me. Had he said it back at all in the book this one probably would have been 5 stars for me.

NO CHEATING
NO OW DRAMA (Yaay)
OM DRAMA (some dbag harasses the FMC and her dbag ex shows up)
NO THIRD ACT BREAK UP (but they were distant for days)
DOMESTIC ABUSE (on FMC not by MMC)
DUAL FIRST PERSON POV
NO VIRGINS OR MANWHORES

This is book 2 in the Tempest Elite MC series following Dawn and Dics story. Dawn's (aka Meredith) left a year ago with her then partner and club prospect Gears after he was exiled for stealing but now shes back homeless and broke thats why shes standing infront of Doc asking for a job. Doc had wanted her the first moment he saw her but she belonged to another and doesnt belong to the club anymore, he gave her a choice once and she turned it down. But now that shes back he cant let her go again. Doc knows she wont be accepted easily back in the the club but he'll do what ever it takes to protect her. A well written, second chance, biker romance. Filled with desire, hot scenes, romance and bikers!

The past is in the past.. or is it?

A year ago Dawn walked away from Tempest Elite and Doc making what was probably the worst decision of her life. When she is down and out and finds the courage to ask forgiveness will the TE fixer trust her enough to let her back in? Turns out, no... but he follows her anyway and thankfully his protective instinct kicks in and shes swept back into the club she left behind. Will they take her back? Trust isnt an easy thing to come by and there are challenges to her situation with Doc. Can their relationship survive when the past intrudes? So many questions but even in this novella there is some awesome character development, a richer story and an MC family I've come to love.

She is the thing he has been missing in his life...but will she be allowed back into the MC

Doc is the second book in the Tempest Elite MC series and is the story of Doc and Dawn. This book pulled at my heartstrings right from the start and then kept plucking at them for most of the book because of Dawn. She is a young woman who is in her early twenties and left the MC a year ago with her boyfriend who was kicked out for stealing. He had been the only one to look after her since she was eighteen and swore that he had been set up. But over the next year she saw his true colors and then it really became real when he stole her car and split with all their rent money. So without anyone, no family or friends, she has come back to town to find a job and a place to live. The only job that she finds she is qualified for is to work the front desk at the Tempest Elite Storage, which is owned by the club and run by Doc. She and Doc have a history of sorts as the night before the club had kicked he ex out he had let her know what was going to happen and offered to take her in and keep her safe. So now she has to go to Doc to apply for the job and to say he is not receptive would be an understatement, after all once you leave the club there is no coming back. Doc is pushing forty and is a big, strong and intimidating man. But when he first saw Dawn he was immediately attracted to her. As a patched member he may have been able to claim her away from her now ex but he did not want her for just one night. Nope he wanted her to come to him freely as he wanted her forever. Doc may be peeved at Dawn but he also realizes that it took a lot of courage for her to come to him asking for the job. He turns her away but it will not be long before his protective and possessive Alpha comes roaring out. He may have let her walk away a year ago but he is not going to let her walk away again, even it is causes issues in the club.

This story was a fast-paced whirlwind of action, drama, friendships, alliances, romance, love, steamy sexy passion and a lot more. Even though this is a MC romance with some harder edges there is still some emotional aspects. Dawn and Doc finally share who they really are with each other which takes trust. I really liked both characters and the secondary characters add to the story-line, along with the overarching MC story that is woven throughout this series.

I received an ARC from the author thru Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving my review. I really enjoyed Bear, the first book in the Tempest Elite MC series, so i really looked forward to reading Doc. This story was well written and I liked all the characters but Dawn. I felt that she did not deserve Doc even though he deserved love. She left with a traitor then begged for help later. I wish Doc would have found a more worthy love interest while she was gone. It was not a bad story, just not one of my favorites. I look forward to reading Gunner when it comes out

Doc offered to help Dawn get away from her violent, loser boyfriend a while back, but she just couldn't do it. Gears was all she knew. Now he's thrown her to the wind and she needs help. When the MC threw them out, it was for good, but maybe Doc will see her desperation and help her. Once he wanted her, but he knows she will be an outcast if he brings her back in. If he claims her, they might let her stay, but her life will be hell for a long time. Is she worth his place in the club? A good, sexy MC romance.

Dawn left with Gears when he quit the MC. Now that he's gone, she has no place to go. She applies for a job at Doc's storage, but he turns her away. But comes to his senses, and takes her under his wing. He'll do anything to protect her, including claiming her so she'll have the protection of the the MC. When her past comes calling, it puts the entire MC in danger. I'm glad to see these two get together, especially since Doc felt that Gears never deserved Dawn. I enjoyed this book, a nice afternoon read, and am looking forward to Gunner.

Dawn left the MC and her family behind when her boyfriend was exiled from the club for stealing. When she finally sees him for what he really is, she goes to ask Doc for a job. He's the one that has always been there for her.
Doc wanted Dawn years ago but she was in love with someone else. When she comes looking for help he can't turn his back on her. Will they be able to trust each other after all the past drama and what will happen when old drama resurfaces? This is a great book about an older man and younger woman navigating in a MC. HEA guaranteed.

Dawn left the MC when her boyfriend was exiled. She was given a choice and chose wrong. Now she's back, and in trouble. Doc tried to help her last time and she didn't listen. Now, there could be dire consequences if Doc helps her. But even worse, her past is back and she's in more danger than ever.

Typos seem to be the case in each book I've read by this author, but none are so bad you can't figure out what is being said. MC drama in this book was touched on, so in sure the next book will expand on that. I'm glad Everly had good news in this book.

Meh

The first book was way better, this one not so much. I didn't like Dawn at all . I wished for someone better for Doc! One minute she's all desperate for help, then the next she's laying down rules like she has the right to do, when in fact she doesn't.
I can't believe an MC would even let her walk back in their doors, after her boyfriend stole from them, and she left with him willing. That doesn't sit right with me at all. She could of helped him for all they know. This book was a definite mess for me.

Doc is the second installment of Reagan Phillips’ Tempest Elite MC series. This biker romance features Dawn and Doc. She was young and hooked up with another Tempest Elite MC biker, Gears, who stole from their treasury and ended up exiled. Now, homeless, penniless, and disparate she turns to Doc for help. She always had feelings for him and he for her. Will Fate bring them back together forever? You must read this book to witness their journey. Again, Ms. Phillips penned an intriguing biker romance tale. Her writing style is enjoyable and easy to read. Her plotline is woven with several rising action points that keep the reader riveted to this book. She uses rich dialog and vivid descriptive scenes. Way to go Ms. Phillips!

From the first page you are curious to get to know Dawn and Doc. They have that magnetism.

It's impressive when an author gives you strong characters, stronger story and them the strongest strength to get through the drama and all that has denied and defined them into vivid word details to bring each scene and feelings from your reader to your soul.

I received an ARC for an honest and voluntary review.

Dark and Gritty!
I have really enjoyed reading this book, the author did such a great job developing the characters, that I feel like I really know them, and not just the major characters, but the minor ones too.

Also, it caused me to lose quite a bit of sleep while I was reading it, because it was so hard to put down at night.

An absolutely fantastic fast-pace and engaging book two in the Tempest Elite Motorcycle Club series! The storyline is well-developed, emotionally deep, well written, and relatable. There are twists and turns, a drama, second chances, and more that will keep you on the edge of your seat. Strong characters with amazing chemistry between them. Definitely recommended!

Dawn and Doc get a second chance at having a romance in this second book in the series, it can be read as a standalone but book one was brilliant as well so may as well read that also! Plenty of action, drama and intrigue in this fairly short read. I’m looking forward to book 3 in the series.

While this book was entertaining, I did not like the female main character at all. This book was not as good as the first one. I hope the next book is better.

Bad decisions ? ?

The greatest thing anyone can do for you is help you to land safely. Dawn had fallen so many times she wasn't sure she could get to up. Would Doc be strong enough to help her grow into the woman she could be? Thank you for having this on Kindle Unlimited.
