Not your grandmother's book of cross-stitch. I picked this book up because of the cover, and I don't cross-stitch. As I skimmed the pages, I noticed it was more than just a book of beautiful winter patterns. Each page features a glossy picture of a stitched scene, along with something to do that day, such as make a treat, send out Christmas cards, sing a carol, etc. At the back are the patterns along with thread colors, and stitching guides in case the reader is not familiar with a particular stitch. With spending so much time at home lately, this book is a good way to get yourself ready for the season, and if you stitch, a great resource to make some lovely gifts for yourself, a friend or loved one.

This is a lovely book full of wonderful holiday patterns as well as lots of festive ideas. As a cross stitcher, this would be a welcome addition to my pattern collection.

Such lovely designs! All the designs are so sweet and pretty, and the photography is really nice. There are five projects with instructions, the requisite stitch and material guides, and patterns in the back. I especially liked the alphabets!

Gorgeous illustration but these projects are for the advanced stitcher or one who is highly motivated to seek out the supplies.

Very pretty and delicate designs. I liked several patterns but the author worked them in 28-count evenweave and I have to use 14 aida. I’m not sure if they would work in a larger format.

More like Back Stitch Christmas.

Too simple for me, maybe good for a beginner? The designs had very little detail and were very light in color.

For only having 20 designs, I thought they would be better than this...

More about Christmas and the traditions surrounding the holiday than about cross-stitch and patterns.
