Offers women advice about men, marriage, family relationships, and fulfillment, and discusses independence, self-respect, and the attitudes parents teach the children about sex-roles
The author is straight forward about how men should not be the main course - a problem many women have. This is a tough-love book and I highly recommend it to women who have bad pickers. Women, YOU are the main course and men are just deserts - not the other way around.
I read this book back in the 90's and I loved it! Sonya Friedman was truly spectacular in this book. She gives wonderful advice. It really uplifted my spirit at that time. I had been going through a rough divorce and I had small children then. I loved it so much that I still have it on my bookshelf. I can go to it whenever I need an uplift. Thank you, Sonya!!!
I loved... parts of it. I find it great except that I was reading through in the hope of actual advises on how to apply the principle... Well I read it fast and came to the conclusion that the book is there to tell you « Men shouldn't be your main meal » and that's it. It's great, but i'm more looking for actions and solutions. Still, reaally great book.
