This trilogy is the third of three trilogies set against the backdrop of the Orchid Club, a "debauched society of one-percenter BDSM aficionados." Each set features a different couple and is located in a different city: Orchid Club: San Francisco: The Complete Trilogy, Orchid Club: Paris: The Complete Trilogy, and, here, Vienna. While each trilogy is a standalone, it's necessary to read all three books within each one --particularly if you're frustrated by cliffhangers. Finally, I want to warn prospective readers that there is a near-rape scene in this one (and, no, it's not perpetrated by the H).

In these stories, we get the tale of Alexander and Alena, who meet at one of the Orchid Club's kink nights; the sadist and the masochist find they share an immediate rapport (in fact, this is very much insta-love). What Alexander doesn't know, however, is that Alena is not who she says she is and has deliberately targeted him. When he finds out the truth, he makes a bargain with her: he won't turn her into the authorities if she'll agree to be his sex slave for three weeks. She agrees, but there's still one important secret that she's keeping from him.

For purely personal reasons, this entry was my least favorite of the three: the other two were anchored by some plausibility (or at least as much as you can have in a world where people own castles), but this was simply OTT. Because I'm not one for excess, I preferred the first two sets: the down-to-earth, comparatively ordinary Christiana breathed fresh air into the San Francisco stories and the fact that the mc were former lovers in the Paris iteration made an instant connection more believable. The Vienna plot machinations were simply too much after a while (I think the author might have bought into The Maltese Falcon too much; though props for pointing out that Alena is in some ways a femme fatale) and the last one made such little sense that it seemed more like an excuse to add more kink scenes than anything else. Because Ms. Dubois had not sacrificed story for sensationalism in the past, I was disappointed that she did so here. I'll also add that though there is an HEA, many lines of action remain open and it was disappointing that at least one person didn't get their just desserts.

That said, I appreciated that this was consensual; that Alena was strong and that Alexander appreciated that strength; and that it was descriptive and provides a wonderful sense of place without turning into info-dump. As always, the author's H and h are likeable and their conflicts organic -- in this case, a lack of trust and the fact that Alexander, a sadist, is not sure that any woman can handle his dark side (Alena spends a lot of time disabusing him of this notion).

This book is "darker" than the others and skirts the lines of consent. This usually bothers me, but I did feel that if Alena had asked Alexander to stop -- even during their "bargain" -- that he would have: he may be a sadist, but he's not psychotic.

Generally, Ms. Dubois is a decent writer with a particular affinity for believable dialogue; her books do contain some confusing typos (though there were fewer here) and they are repetitious: I feel that her characters often rehash the same argument over and over again. In this particular book, I didn't always find Alena's character coherent: at first she says she's not a masochist, then she appears to be, so I couldn't always follow her train of thought.

That said, I did enjoy this trilogy (as I've enjoyed them all) and do recommend it for those who like BDSM stories anchored by a solid storyline and an mc who experience character growth.

4 stars. I will say that while I appreciate that Ms. Dubois writes descriptive kink scenes and is careful not to kink-shame ("don’t mansplain being a submissive to me"), I do feel that she's fallen into the trap that so many authors do of presenting BDSM practitioners as not "normal," as Alena says several times here. I hope she avoids this in the future.

This is the continuation of Alena and Alexander's story. He is fighting his attraction with every instinct he has and her betrayal makes him doubly angry. She taught her job was a game but what she failed to realize was that it is all consuming and she fell for it. Intrigue, drama, suspense and emotional rollercoaster ride. I can't wait to read the conclusion to this story. I volunteered to review the arc.

Alena and Alexander's story continues and it's a page-turner. It 's told from a dual point of view so we're able to know what each are thinking. Alena is after something from Alexander and the author masterfully builds up the suspense as to what. Lila is a master storyteller who traps you in her web. Some surprises in this book and not what I was expecting. Get a comfortable chair and a cold drink because you won't be able to put this book down until you finish. It does end with a cliffhanger. I read an arc via the author and voluntarily chose to review it. Sitting on the edge of my seat waiting for the final book in the series.

I’m Still Reeling. For Real? That Was A Heck of A Bombshell!

After the fall-out from Alena’s betrayal Alexander was furious. How dare she betray him. But Alexander didn’t get to where he was by playing by the rules and Alexander needed answers. Unfortunately Alena was not budging or sharing. So Alexander made a bargain with terms that Alena could not refuse.

There was only one choice. She chose him, at the end of the agreed time she could go free. So Alena accepted the bargain. She knew when the truth came out, Alexander was in for a big surprise. Because out of all the scenarios he laid out, he hadn’t even come close to the truth.

At some point Alexander realized he loved Alena and Alena realized she loves Alexander. So Alena decided to tell Alexander the truth. Problem is time ran out. The people she works for found her. And as they converge and try to stop her, Alena dropped the biggest bombshell yet. Why she was there, what she was doing and who exactly she works for.

Boom! This book has just absolutely blown my little mind! Aside from the absolutely scorching heat, undeniable connection, and enticing story line, this book has crazy twists and turns that I'm still struggling to catch up to. My heart is beating fast, and I still can't quite believe what I just read! Beware, that ending is a doozy of a cliff hanger!

Picking up where Vienna Betrayal left off, this story is just another step in the story of Alexander and Alena, but a necessary one. As harsh as their story is at times, there is still an underlying connection between them that is beautiful in it's confusion. Both are fighting against themselves, as well as each other, to play out this "game" that they are both involved in. There is so much that is hidden, so much that is alluded to, that my mind is racing the entire time I'm reading, and still even now, after I've finished, I'm thinking about how it can possibly be concluded. As amazing as Vienna Betrayal, and Vienna Bargain were I can only imagine what the author has in store for these two! This book, this entire series, is one that is exciting, daring, and even a little dangerous! But what else would you expect from The Orchid Club?!?

Okay, well that cliff hanger did not be what I thought, but let’s back up. Nothing quite went as I expected, and the level of suspense woven with the BDSM, spot on and very intriguing. Great balance between the two. Now, I’d like to gather Alexander in a great big hug (because Dom’s need hugs too) and protect him from whatever is about to befall him!

This is Alexander and Alena's story continued from 'Vienna Betrayal'. I'm going to tell you right now if you haven't read the first book, stop and read it before starting this book. Trust me on this. I'm also going to toss out a warning that this book doesn't flirt with BDSM play, it takes you to the edger edges and leaves you there awhile, so this book may not be appreciated by all readers.

Alexander Wagner, billionaire mogul has been betrayed by Magdelena 'Alena' Moreau. After connecting on a level neither one of them imagined in 'Vienna Betrayal' he discovers her stealing secrets from his companies data servers. He gives her a choice of prison or three weeks as his BDSM slave, he WILL get his answers from her.

Magdelena 'Alena' Moreau can't give up her secrets just yet and chooses to become Alexander's slave, lashing out at him but yet still trusting him, confident that in the end all will work out. Even when he pulls on her darkest desires and fears she can't stop wanting him or loving him, even as she curses him.

Lila Dubois takes you on the darker side of BDSM with this couple who crave the more intense styles of BDSM play of sadomasochisms, interrogation, bondage and torture. The duality of being aroused by and loving this type of play with a trusted partner while hating it at the same time. I felt all the emotional highs and lows they both went through as well as the starburst of joy when they declared their love.

This book is full of emotions, from anger, hurt and betrayal, self-doubts, to trust and love. It will drive you crazy wanting to know Alena's secrets and will make you want to go back and re-read everything once you reached the end.

I received an ARC copy and am voluntarily leaving a review. If you like my reviews I hope you will follow my blog. https://wyldheartreads.wordpress.com/

I HATE cliff-hangers and Vienna Bargain leaves us right there hanging after an extremely scorching and revealing story between Alexander and Alena. What can I say, Lila Dubois has once again created a page turning tale that keeps us guessing through the twists and turns of every moment, willing Alexander and Alena to come to realisations and revelations that leads to their oh so happy ending!

Of course, this is an "Orchard Club" story so expect LOTS of heated BDSM and the connection between these two is extremely intense, as is the scenes played out between them. What starts out as a game of cat and mouse soon turns into something neither expect and it's great to see both Alexander and Alena come to realise it's so much more than they bargained for from their dual aspect.

I always say it, but I think these two are now my fav characters in this series, but I know Lila will have more up her sleeve in the next Orchard Club series offering....

But, to finish this trilogy, I really hope Alexander and Alena find their bliss in the conclusion of this trilogy and I know Lila Dubois won't let is down with Vienna Bliss which thankfully is coming soon!

Loved it! ❤👍

This is the second installment in the Vienna Trilogy (and another book in the Orchid Club series), so I knew this would end on a cliffhanger, but wow!!

From the opening pages of this story, we are aware that Alena isn’t exactly who she wanted Alexander to believe she is, and Alexander wants answers. He proposes an unorthodox “bargain”, and Alena seems caught between a rock and a hard place. I felt this book was a bit lighter on the intrigue, and a lot heavier on the BDSM (emphasis on the SM) than Vienna Betrayal.

The game Alena began playing becomes all too real. Due to events in Vienna Betrayal, Alexander feels he has been wronged by Alena, and his anger is all-consuming. I fell in love with both characters in VB, but it was, honestly, a bit harder to take Alexander in this book. I was feeling quite stressed during the BDSM scenes between the two. That being said, I’m still all in for the final installment.

This story had me on the edge of my seat, and I cannot wait for Vienna Bliss!!

#2 Story in this 3-part Series Gets Darker and More Fabulous!!

Our heroine Alena works her way into the Orchid Club to gain access to the very private billionaire Alexander Wagner. In Book #1 (you really must read that one too) we get the setup, and discover it is more “personal” than she intends for it to become. She is able to complete her mission (that is left fuzzy for the reader) but immediately afterward she is CAUGHT!

Book #2 is the aftermath. She can rot in a foreign prison, or she can become his BDSM slave for three weeks. No safeword, no backups. Because of the chemistry she feels she is “safest” trusting herself to him.

This is intense, gritty and amazing. Literally could not put this down. I can’t wait for book #3!!

This was a 12 chapters book but I barely managed finishing it.
What an awkward pointless mix of BDSM & dark romance. It felt extremely silly because threatening "rape!" multiple times on a man when you explicitly stated that you NEED to be forced into submission & that you have sex slave fantasies & that you keep rubbing yourself on the man (not very submissive btw...) It somehow doesn't work.
We had more art & architecture info dump noone cares about in this second opus & then the spy stuff was the cherry on the cringe cake. I'm stopping there in this series, don't care about the ending one bit.
I'm also going to bleach my brain & reread Ashen Master by Payne Hall which is a lesson into how to portray emotional masochism/sadism & dubcon in BDSM with dark romance & sex slave erotica. For those interested, it starts here: https://www.literotica.com/s/ashen-ma...

Don't even think about skipping this book and going to the ending. You wouldn't want to miss the continuing interplay between Alexander and Alena. Since she can't go to prison in Serbia, she has no choice but to agree to be his slave for 3 weeks at his home at Beleu Lake in Moldova, which coincidentally is where he has a dungeon and plenty of privacy.

In this story we get some insight into the past of both Alexander and Alena. And as they scene they both continue have their emotions become more involved. At the end, we learn why Alena needed to get into Alexander's house and who she works for. But there are still questions to be answered with the biggest one being whether they will have a future together or not.

Part 2 continues where Part 1 ended. Alexander is furious at being made a fool, he believes she is a spy, he is going to make her pay. A bargain is made and she choses to be his BDSM slave.

But at what price, he believes he can break her, get her to tell him all she took from him. She believes she can make him see she was not hurting him without going into much detail.

From each POV, we were able to see into their feelings, they were each becoming more and more involved. Will she finally get through his icy façade or will she have to leave him at the end. We finally get into the nitty gritty towards the end of the book, hold on to your seats, it will definitely be a bumpy ride!

I am sitting on the edge of my seat and can't put this book down! It is scorching hot with characters that have a strong connection. There are the crazy twists and turns that you know the author will give you. You don't know what to expect next.

This book picks up where Vienna Betrayal ended. Alena finally has gained access to intensely private billionaire Alexander Wagner and grabbed his attention. When she is caught, she is offered to become his BDSM slave for three weeks or rot in a foreign prison.

I was reading this book almost holding my breath until the twist at the end when I gasped and screamed that I didn't have the next book so I could continue reading.

I voluntarily reviewed an ARC provided by the author. Thank you!

So - this is a continuation of the trilogy. The ending of book one has me screaming and i was so mad. This one picks up where the other left off and was just as annoyingly good as book one. NO spoilers here, you have to read this for yourself and apply whatever emotions pop up. Alena drives Alexander up the wall. With a secret sorta out, the couples goes back and forth. Alexander sorta lightens up, but of course he cant see that he is absolutely in love with Alena. Then as we pull into the end of this book; You will be BLOWN AWAY at the truth about Alana. And just like at the end of book one, you will want to throw your kindle across the room and scream at Lila for not having book 3 of this outstanding and annoying book at the ready. Ya, you are going to love this.

Vienna Bargain, book 2 in the Vienna Trilogy, is a scorching and suspenseful page turner. Bargain continues the discovery of who Alexander and Alena are as Dom/Sub and as individuals who are drawn to each other outside their emotionally charged scenes. Each interaction between Alexander and Alena rebuilds their trust in each other and begins the path towards healing and love. Ever the sadist writer, Lila Dubois ends Bargain with additional challenges and questions for Alexander and Alena which further tests the delicate bond they have built. Vienna Bliss is sure to bring an exciting and heated conclusion to the Vienna Trilogy.

I don't think I've read a book by Lila DuBois that I didn't absolutely love. And the Vienna Trilogy, through book 2, is phenomenal. Bargain takes up where Betrayal left off. Alexander is furious and demands answers Alena won't give, so he strikes a bargain with her. But both are in for more than they bargained for. They both have very strong feelings for each other and won't admit it. There are twists, turns, intense chemistry, and oh so much steam. These two may just turn out to be my favorite Orchid Club couple. I cant wait to read 3 and find Bliss.

This author really keeps you on the edge of your seat, turning pages like crazy, and makes you stay up way too late reading.

I felt this segment was more story than hot scenes (and that is just the way I like it). I love that the story gives both view points without giving away what it going to happen. We are kept in the dark until the fantastic reveal at the end of the book. Ugh... The cliffhanger at the end of this one just seems worse than the last. So many questions, but absolutely loved it!

I can NOT wait for the third installment! What a cliff hanger.

I love how Lila brings her characters to life. Strong smart women and intelligent yet thoughtful men. In Betrayal the pain was sharp and the consequences that play out throughout Bargain have so many twists and turns. I was kept on the edge of my chair as I read and while I initially could not sink into the story line while reading Betrayal, I could not put my e-reader down until I finished Bargain. Find a comfy chair, pour yourself your favorite beverage and enjoy.... so ready for the culmination of this story.

The intrigue is gettin deeper. Alena has been caught and made a deal with Alexander for her total surrender. What they both discover is that things are so much more than they appear. While this is the middle installment, their relationship is escalated ten fold. Alexander couldn't predict what his feelings would be towards Alena and visa versa. I dont think either of them ever thought theyd find themselves where they do. I cant wait for the conclusion of these two and how they will come back from all that jas been revealed!

Well, we get some answers with this installment, but the cliffhanger here is a mind blower. Alena and Alexander both have so much baggage. As we read from his and her POVs we are dragged into this storyline, especially Alena’s. The scenes are set so well I can imagine being at his estate in Moldova. The BDSM is some what painful, but exciting also and underneath it you can feel their growing affection and respect. This is a lovely sexy read.

Wow, what a "Bargain"

Second books in trilogy can be lacking since they are just the bridge between that beginning and the grand finale - that is *not* the case with this trilogy - it's quite a great read on it's own!

Loved seeing how Alena dealt with the Bargain - it's all a game - until it's not.

Loved seeing Alexander realize what he has with Alena if he doesn't focus on the "lies".

Warning another cliffhanger but this one is sooooo good....l

Can't wait for Bliss!!!

What happens to good girls getting caught doing bad things?...so a bargain is made and Alena keeps her word. Alexander believes he can get the truth out of her and the game begins...whew, lots of twists and turns in this mysterious series with a lot of BDSM and explosive chemistry. Where will this game leave them once all truths are told? Can't wait to read the 3rd book of this trilogy.🔥❤🔥❤🔥 I volunteered an honest opinion for this book.

Caught red-handed, Alena is forced to make a bargain that could be her undoing. Alena and Alexander engage in a battle of wits during which they expose their flaws and desires to each other, intentionally or not. Revelations are made that put a completely differently spin on things. Be prepared for some of which are real surprises. Lila Dubois keeps things moving with intriguing twists and turns, steamy BDSM scenes and two fascinating characters. Great reading!

This trilogy just gets better and better. Totally didn't see that coming. The lesser of two evils that neither of them really agreed with.

Alexander is one part furious and one part desolate at what Alena has done. Alena strayed from the original plan and wonders how she will fare. With all that is going on around them, will they be able to see it through in one piece or will it all shatter?

I am waiting anxiously for the final part!

This is a well written erotic second book of a trilogy which keeps getting better and better with a great storyline with anger, secrets, betrayal, mystery, intrigue, passion, hot BDSM scenes, and so much more.

Wow! Awesome way to leave the reader hanging, Lila Dubois! The deal Alexander made with Alena leads to some pretty intense and lengthy BDSM scenes (like 50% of the book). Both Alexander and Alena come to important realizations and the climactic ending left me dying to find out what happens next. Great writing, mesmerizing story. Bring on book three!

This book picks up exactly where Betrayal leaves off. Alexander offers Alena a deal of three weeks alone with him or he will hand her over to the authorities. Seeing three weeks with Alexander as the lesser of the two evils she agrees. The chemistry and intensity between is off the charts hot. The plot twist/cliffhanger I did not see coming. I cannot wait for the final installment. I recieved an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I expected that we would get more of the story and characters in Vienna Bargain. What I didn’t anticipate is how much more and how delicious it would be. I absolutely loved the twist in the plot. It was completely a surprise, and truly unexpected, On top of that, we learned so much more about Alena and Alexander. I don’t want to spoil the story for future readers, but I have to say it was phenomenal. I loved and savored every page. I can’t to see how this all wraps up in Vienna Bliss!

Outstanding!!

The Orchid Club series started out incredible and has continued to progress to outstanding - at this point. WOW! The story of Alexander and Alena is unbelievable!! What began as lovers and then progressed to enemies, has now come full circle to lovers again. Which, I must say, is far more preferable!I’m seriously loving this storyline and Lila Dubois is a Queen in this genre’!!
