Becky is a children’s book editor and sometimes author from the South West of England. Her favourite things are animals, books about magic, and anything sparkly. In a parallel universe she lives in Hawaii, where she works in a dog sanctuary and surfs until the sun sets beyond the horizon.
A bright and colorful board book introduction to being a firefighter. Simple, yet informative. Toddlers will especially enjoy the double page spread detailing the firefighter's uniform and the mirror at the end. A good resource to add to community helper units.
Exuberant and nicely presented board book. A child imagines his future career and all of the ways he can help people as a firefighter. I really liked that the text reminded us that firefighters also help animals!
Fantastic read for a 2.5 yr old. Fun book that needs to be rotated to read on some pages and the story is engaging for a young kid with clear and simple kid friendly illustrations, beginner vocabulary and a mirror on the last page that let's the kids "dress up" as a firefighter.
14 m/o Bud loved this- simple and labelled images with key equipment and fire fighter situations. Lots to point out and talk about. We have now taken this out of the library twice as Bud is still fascinated by fire engines and it remains a firm fave.
A very cute book! Nice illustrations with details and big simple text (we have the Norwegian translation). Lots of new words to learn, and different tasks firefighters do. Bonus for the mirror in the uniform on the last page!
