About the author

Henry King "Hank" Ketcham was an American cartoonist who created the Dennis the Menace comic strip, writing and drawing it from 1951 to 1994, when he retired from drawing the daily page and took up painting full time in his studio at his home. He received the Reuben Award for the strip in 1953. The strip continues today in the hands of other artists.

no longer trying to figure out who the characters are, ketcham is at his height as author, artist and storyteller. margaret -the anti-lucy van pelt- is introed in this volume. (just don't tell people born after 1980 that the mitchell's tv is black and white, they wouldn't understand.)

a puplic library should have a standing order for everything penguin classics and fantagraphics publishes.

This was a cute quick read I started with volume 3 but there is really no order since it is comic strips looking for the other volumes now.
