Part 2. No intimate scenes with anyone other than the Hero and heroine but the Hero arrives with another woman, although he kisses other woman. The woman leaves the room then he is intimate with the heroine. I couldn't understand why he took another woman on the trip when he went to get the heroine back. I didn't have much respect for the heroine agreeing to take him back when he was there with another woman.

Wow, this book swept me away, much like the first one did. I was so anxious at the beginning, knowing fate would play its role and Carter and Freya would be together again. But how? And WHEN? I admire this author for not taking the easy way out and leaving us hanging on the edge of our seats for a bit. Because it was well worth their reunion. These two are just meant for each other. Soul mates. ❤️ the unexpected twists and turns were such a surprise and the story flowed very well. I love these two. Cannot wait to see what book 3 has in store. ☺️ also, the writing style for this book is more like I’m used to. Loved this book.
Well, this second book was absolutely riveting. I thoroughly enjoyed the second instalment in this series. Once Carter and Freya got their acts together, their chemistry was hot! And just when you think that they are going to get their happy ending, a couple of bombshells throw them straight off that path. Did not see any of it coming! And with that I am off to download book number 3!! Well done Ashlee!
⚜Rate: ★★★★★
English: "Something to Lose" is the second book in Ashlee Rose's "Entwined In You" series. If I read the previous book in less than 12 hours, I read this in 3 hours. Literally. I was very hooked on the story that I couldn't stop reading with all the twists.
Freya Greene, after discovering Carter Cole's lie, decides to continue her life avoiding him completely, and although she is hurt, she still has feelings for him. She still has friends who support her and also Ethan who is at his side and wants her happiness. But a job trip to Paris will reunite with Carter.
In this book, Freya goes through too many things that make you feel compassion for her. She is hurt, but at the same time in love, but she doesn't want to answer her messages or see him either. In fact, that trip to Paris was very good for her to clear her mind of everything, but then, with all that goes on there, it was very satisfying for her. OMG, I didn't expect that end, well, neither did they, but it can bring them a lot of happiness after the misfortune. ⚜Rate: ★★★★★
I finished Something To Lose and here I am wondering whats going to happen next with this couple . I was just left hanging with wanting more. I was very happy that carter and freya got another chance at their relationship and just when you think they are going to make it . Bam something out of no where happens to them . Let me just that I seriously did not see that one coming 🙌🏻. Funny how things work out , so cant wait for book three to come .
I enjoyed the first one well enough, but this one just got stupid. Oh I love you so much and your best friend told me you were in Paris so I had to come see you. But I thought my fuck buddy with me and was sharing a room with her. Fuck that nonsense. I didn’t even finish it, that’s how stupid it got.

Please, keep in mind that this book is the second one in this series. It should be read after Something New. The story starts right after the cliffhanger of the first book. I don't want to include any spoiler. So I'll just say that you will find some surprises this time. Although I love Carter, even much more after reading this second book, I struggled with Freya in the beginning. Honestly, I didn't like her very much. I get she is hurt. I really do. But she is too stubborn and a little bit silly sometimes. But Ashlee Rose builds up her character throughout the book. And I must admit she changed my mind. I really want to know what will happen with Carter and Freya in the last book. I received a free copy from the author in exchange for an honest review.
This one is a hard review for me to write because I don't want to give any spoilers away. Ashlee throws us lots of curveballs in this story. Seriously I cried! This one really got me and my heart broke for Freya and Carter. I love that they got their second chance, these two are perfect together and so HOTT! Really enjoyed this one.
This book is an incredible sequel to Something New. I loved the first book, it was amazing, but I have to say, this one is even better. I love the story between Carter and Freya, it's so fulfilling. Oh, it's definitely NSFW, but I read it at work anyway and had to hold back tears, laughter and uncontrollable smiling the whole time and maybe a little bit of a blush. This is such a real story and the writing tells it perfectly. I could not put this book down but I had to make myself because I didn't want to leave Carter and Freya's world, it's such a good world to lose yourself in. It is definitely worth the read and I would encourage anyone wanting to read this book to read the first in the series as well. Can't wait to read the rest of their story!
I need to start by saying I love the way Ashlee writes! It’s so detailed that makes it really easy to picture her stories as a movies.
The beginning of Something to lose is exactly where book 1 (Something New) left us. After repeatedly going “WHY FREYA WHY!” at various moments in the beginning of the story, I then felt so bad for her, everyone that has gone through a break up will inevitably feel for her. Her process and feelings were very realistically written.
There’s nothing much I can say about this book without spoiling what happens and I enjoyed reading it so much I don’t want to take that from you, so hurry and read it!
If you think a trip to Paris is romantic, you have no idea how much romantic it can really be and Carter will happily show you (and Freya). It made me happy just reading how happy Carter gets when Freya does anything he thinks it’s cute and how adorable he finds her. They really are best friends. They are always playful with each other. Their relationship is like finding someone who not only understands all your jokes and sarcasm but also answers back.
On book 1, I thought things were going great and then BAM, something shocking happened! Well, THAT was kids play to what happens in these book! After the biggest hit they go through, Carter reacts in a way that you can’t help but admire que quality of person he is. Carter at the end goes through some shocking news and even though he is worried for himself, he was more worried about Freya’s reaction.
They made each other a promise several times through the book and they stood by their word. I don’t know what else to say without spoiling anything so...JUST READ THIS SERIES!!!!!
So I finished Something to Lose within 24 hours because I just couldn’t get enough of Freya and Carter. After Something New, I was left wondering what was going to happen. The ending had been so emotional that I just didn’t know what to expect.
Something to Lose went above and beyond what i thought it would be. There were scenes that were so raw and emotional. I was smiling and laughing and heartbroken right along side Freya and Carter. And because I’m an emotional wreck 99% of the time, of course I cried! Once again I was blindsided by this story and didn’t see the events coming. Ashlee is really good at leaving you shocked rather than feeling like you saw it coming. I am itching to get my hands on Something Everlasting.
Ashlee is so talented and creates real characters and a story that is different from the romance novels like fsog! I was never a huge fan of Mr Grey, but I hands down prefer Carter Cole. I cannot wait to read the final leg of Freya and Carters story. And then I’m going to reread it all over again. And I hope to god Ashlee creates more stories because I am a huge fan of her work!
I highly recommend this series! I am literally bragging about it to everyone I know because it’s so worth it
Woah that was an intense emotional read! I downloaded this late last night and it’s kept me captivated all day! I rarely am able to finish a book this quickly but my goodness I couldn’t put this down!!
Something to Lose follows on from Something New.
What I enjoy about Ashlee Roses books is her remarkable ability to write such emotional scenes that yank your heart out!
I loved Freya in book 1 and book 2 has just made me adore her even more!! She’s such a beautiful and relatable character. She has had more than her fair share of heartbreak.
Carter...hmm this one has some serious work to do to redeem himself!! He’s a character I like but his behaviour and actions make me super crazy! He’s someone I want to shake to make him come to his senses!! It’s obvious Freya and Carter belong together and thankfully Mr Cole does get his act together 🙌🏻
Ethan 😍 gosh I love Ethan!! I love his friendship with Freya and the walk home from the pub and the next few pages after🤯...woah my heart was racing and I’ve never championed someone as much as I did here with Ethan!!
Courtney 💕🙌🏻 she’s a bit of a funny one but I love hers and Freya’s relationship together!! And I hope Courtney has a story to be shared because that’s someone I want to get their Happily Ever After!
The ending of the book is an ever bigger shock than the ending of the last book and I have absolutely no idea where book 3 is going to take me but I cannot wait to discover what the future holds for Freya and Carter!!
⭐️⭐️⭐️🌟 First I would like to thank Ashlee for contacting me and introducing her lovely books to me!
Book 2 starts where #1 left off. Now not sure how I feel about the first couple of chapters. Some situations were rushed and kinda forgotten.. Of course, it gets right on track and better.
Freya has started a new job and is doing anything and everything to avoid Carter. All is going smoothly until her boss presents a business trip to Paris with her assistant.
This book is full of surprising moments and heartbreak.
I really enjoyed this book. I did not read the first book in this series so I went in blind when reading Something to Loose. The heart break and emotions that Freya has endured really pulls in the reader. She’s a very likable character and even though I did not know the back story of her and Carter, you learn real quickly the drama and heart break that occurred in book one. After a long break of not speaking to or seeing her ex, she runs into him on a business trip in Paris. The flames ignite and the chemistry is so strong between these two characters. Their relationship develops quickly with a few hiccups in the road that not only tests them but it strengthens their love. I cried with them, I laughed with them, I was cheering for them. I can not wait to read the next book and see their future.
(I was given a copy of this book for an honest review.)
A page turning sequel to Carter and Freya's story! Picking back up from that ending of book one you see Freya struggle with Carter, i can see her point it was a huge blow to hee heart but she picks herself up, dusts herself off and holds her head strong. Her friendship with Courtney i was a little on the fence with because they was ok one minute and the next you wouldn't think they was friends and Freya needs her friends round her. When we see Carter again my little heart skipped a beat, the man knows what he wants but he's got alot of groveling to do. I liked Carter alot more in this book, not that i didn't like him in the first book but in this one his character grew leaps and bounds and so did Freya's! The ending of this one i was just as shocked as the first one if not more. Book three is already loaded up on my kindle!
This is the second book in the series and it has to be read in order bcause the first one ends with a cliffhanger, whether they both will become again or not. Before reading this i had already read Without Her, which is the same book but from Carter's POV. I would definately recommend reading both because then you get to read extra bits of their life. I felt sympathetic toward Freya for all she went through(first with carter then the baby) but their love was strong.I liked how expressive carter was to show freya how imp she was to him.
in all this was a good book and you see how they go from being seperate to together, strong madly in love.
As with the first book I absolutely loved this book...actually a bit more than book 1. The love evident in this book was amazing. The connection and chemistry between Freya & Carter jumps off the page and is absolutely consuming. This book has a lot more super steamy sex scenes but they’re passionate and loving and make this whole story a joy to read. As with the first book there are plot twists that I certainly did not see coming and I’m eager to dive into the conclusion of this beautiful sweet romance series.
Omg what a beautiful , romantic , emotional , raw , fun novel full of sex , love , passion and compassion .life love and everything inbetween. You really get lost in the characters and feel there emotions with them. It was romantic ,fun , hot , devastating, tearful and all mix of emotions in one book . The author makes you feel part of the characters and the book and entices you in so you never want to leave . I couldnt put it down . Pure brilliance just absolutely loved it 😁😁😁
This book was so much more than I expected. At the end of the first one, I was a bit shell shocked. I was so hurt for Freya and I didn’t want to like Carter but the author did an amazing job...I couldn’t help but love him. I’m glad they could rekindle their love. This story was such a corky love story. I love it. As per her last book the cliffhanger will leaving you wanting more. I strongly recommend this book... such a good read!!
I was given an advance readers copy of this book and have decided to write a voluntary honest review. I am rating this book 3.5 stars. I still have some issues with carter especially now with that ending. To be honest as I feel right now. Morgan would of been better for Freya. Carter still has way to go with me. I think maybe Freya should take a step back some time for herself.
Carry on of freya and Carter bumping their way back into each other's lives and was really pleased book 2 wasn't a let down and kept going beautifully loved both books and can't wait to see more from ashlee rose well done girl you did good
Good heavens, more curveballs! While Freya finds her own two feet again, her road back to love is anything but smooth. It’s hard to say much more without spoiling anything, but Freya’s highs and lows this time around are just as shocking. And I’m left wondering the consequences of the path that she has chosen, or rather, has chosen her. On to book three!
After breaking up with Carter when she found out that he started his relationship with her as revenge towards Jake, Freya’s ex, and his new girlfriend, Amy ( she was one of Carter’s flavors, for whom Carter has special affection and that she cheated on him with Jake), she falls into depression. For weeks she avoids all contact with Carter until Ethan gives him a letter from Carter asking for forgiveness, telling her how much he loves her and will never forget her. She sends him a message but he never answers her. A year goes by and Freya is working for Carter’s rival. Her boss ordered her to go with him and her assistant to Paris to sign a new client. There she sees Carter again with his date, but he ends up following her outside the restaurant and kisses her and asks her to meet up with him the next day. She realizes that she saw Carter the night before enter his room with his date while they were kissing very passionately. He tells her that the real reason for him to be in Paris was to see her.(And she falls for it. A man says that he loves you, that he misses you, that he has traveled to see you, but while he hooks up with another). But later that night Carter goes to Freya’s room and they end up sleeping together while his date is waiting for him in his room. When Freya goes to his room to see him, Carter’s date opens the door and tells her that she is his girlfriend. Oh yes! Carter lie to her again, and what Freya does? Nothing, he waits until Carter gets rid of her girlfriend, sleeps with him again and start to make plans for their future together.WTF! Here from there and even at the end of the book I started to dislike a little this couple. Freya for coming back with him so easily and Carter bc what happens in Paris was awful for my taste. He knew that he was going to see Freya bc one of Freya’s friends help him, and even knowing it he takes his girlfriend and sleeps with her the night before?????
“For starters, she isn’t my girlfriend, she is my date. Secondly, I didn’t want you to be like her. I wanted you to be like you.” He slowly ran his finger across my lip then started trailing it down my chin and across my jawline. My breath caught. Just feeling his touch against my skin brought everything back.
“I didn’t come here for Jude,” he said bluntly. “I came here for you.” I turned to face him. “Why are you lying? If you came for me, you wouldn’t have come with her. Don’t bullshit me, Carter.” I shook my head as I stood and walked round to the end of the bed. “Please, Freya. I’m not bullshitting you.” He sat up in bed and sighed, his sage eyes burning into mine. “Well, I am here, but it doesn’t change anything. You’re with her. Can you just go, please?” I didn’t want him to go. I wanted to stay snuggling into him all night, but I couldn’t be that girl. “Fine. If that’s what you want. I’m not going to Jude’s signing tomorrow. I will be in my room. Chloé is going home tomorrow morning. The offer is still there to spend the day with me. I don’t want to lose you again, Freya.” I smiled and looked down at my feet. Carter didn’t move from in front of me. I swallowed hard and looked back up at him. “How can you lose something you never had?”
“Baby, I’m so sorry. I left the room to speak to reception. She told me she would be gone by the time I got back.” I nodded. “I text you as I hadn’t heard from you. I thought you’d changed your mind,” I mumbled. I unbent my legs and kicked my Converse together, puckering my lips. “Never, Freya. I told you. I don’t want to lose you again.” I just sat there. “Honestly, Freya. I don’t. This past year has been hell.” He sighed. “Yes, Chloé was more than a date, but I made it very obvious that it was just a ‘thing’.” He looked at me, searching for my response. I just stared in front of me. “Chloé knew this was going to happen, especially knowing what would happen if I saw you again. She was my therapy, in a way, after everything. I didn’t want to tell my mum and Ava as I didn’t want them to hate me. They love you so much.” I looked up at him. They love me? Just as I went to speak, he carried on. “But not as much as I do.” His eyes widened, and he looked lost. He was staring deep into my eyes. He moved closer to me, steadying his breath. “I really do,” he whispered, his lips brushing against mine. I just wanted to climb onto his lap there and then and devour him in the hotel hallway.

Something to Lose by @ashleeroseauthor is the second book in the series and is the continuation of Freya and Carter.
It was fun, fast paced, easy to follow, answered some questions from the first book Something New. It was full of passion, emotion and full of love and loss.
I'm rubbish at writing reviews but have read over 1,000 romance novels.. The character's in this book captivated me and I can't wait for the next book. I would certainly recommend that you read these books and guarantee you'll enjoy them
