Dr. Lissa Morgan has had a crush on her best friend’s older brother since they were kids, but handsome, brooding Cam Taylor has never given her a second glance. When Cam unexpectedly shows up on Lissa’s doorstep bleeding and bruised, his personal life in shambles, things between them take a steamy turn.
After an incredible weekend with the sweet, sexy doctor, Cam realizes what he’s been missing. But he’s run from intimacy his whole life, sure he doesn’t deserve a woman like Lissa. He’s doing her a favor by walking away – or so he tells himself.
Frustrated and hurt by Cam’s distance, Lissa must nonetheless rely on his private security firm when an annoying admirer becomes a threat. The more time Cam spends with Lissa, the faster his defenses crumble. When the disturbed stalker finally makes his move, Cam will do whatever it takes to save the woman who’s slowly healing his wounded soul.
Maggie Clare is the pen name of award-winning speculative fiction author, Tabitha Lord. When channeling Maggie, she writes all the naughty things. She's currently crafting a romantic suspense series featuring hot hunky heroes, smart sexy gals, and nail-biting narratives. Count on Maggie to pair great story-telling with an erotic edge.
Lissa has loved Cam from afar for as long as she remembered - watching him with his perfect society fiance is just par for the course for her unrequited crush. But when he shows up to comfort her and then shows up for stitches - her unrequited crush becomes much more.
Fast-paced, steamy as heck and right on target for another TSI book (can't wait for more!). Liss is a great heroine with a giant heart who holds Cam accountable for being an idiot. Cam is bold and brave and hotter than sin. I wasn't totally sure how to take his about-face with his emotions but he was all in once he admitted them - I do love when a romance hero actually acknowledges his faults and his feelings. There was a great twist with the suspense aspect of the book that I definitely did not see coming and added more weight to the depth of the book.
I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own. CW: flashback to childhood sexual abuse
I loved Cam and Lissa! Cam is big alpha male who has some serious baggage - and thinks he doesn't deserve love or happiness. He is the co-owner of a global security company based in Boston. He is a serious caregiver though - he seems to do everything he can to support the people he loves. When the book starts he is on the verge of getting engaged to a woman it is clear he really isn't in love with.
Lissa is an emergency room doctor who works incredibly hard. She just got out of a bad relationship with another doctor who seems like a serial cheater. She grew up with Cam's family after her parents died in a car crash. Cam was already out of the house by the time she moved in.
They reconnect when Cam gets engaged - and really connect on a new level when Cam finds his fiance cheating on him and needs Lissa to stitch him up after the fight.
There are a lot of moments of predictability in this book - Cam pushing Lissa away because he isn't good enough for her - Lissa being in danger. But the story is extremely engaging and has a lot of true strong emotion. Cam's history is really difficult to read - and deserves a content warning for . Lissa's experience with her stalker is also particularly terrifying because of the nature of it.
The only thing that kept this from being a five star read for me was Cam's insta love for Lissa. It seemed to come out of the blue - even for a romantic suspense like this. I think some more time could have been spent showing their past connection to support the present love.
But overall - this is a great read that i couldn't put down!
I received this as an ARC from NetGalley, but these opinions are all my own.
I've always been a fan of romances when the H/h have a past together--in this case, an unrequited crush. Their past makes for an interesting dynamic as they need to recreate their relationship and not just create one. When written well, and this book was, it makes for a wonderful read.
I haven't read the rest of this series and didn't feel lost. It stands alone nicely, except the feeling that there were little things I probably missed that would have made this a richer experience if I'd read the others. I hope that makes sense!
The characters were interesting and well created, unique (even the secondary ones) and folks I learned to care about. The romance is hawt (!) and not a lot is left to the imagination, so if you're not a fan of sex scenes, be warned--they are here. Yes, they are descriptive, but they are well and tastefully written.
Cam's team is so awesome to read about. They're solid and they're friends and they have each other's backs. Clearly, I need to check out the rest of the series to get to meet them all in depth, one-by-one.
Overall a solid entry in the romantic suspense category--it skimped on neither thing, so I got my fill of the suspense AND the romance which isn't always an easy line to walk. The author did a wonderful job with the book and, short a couple things that stretched my ability to believe they could happen as they did (not saying what--no spoilers here), it ticked all the boxes. A solid 4 star book!
Lost and Found is a marvelous addition to the Tactical Solutions International series. This book features the boss man at TSI, Cam Taylor. He starts out as a bit of a jerk but ends up a total softy. Dr. Lissa Morgan’s biggest flaw is her big heart and her ability to forgive Cam for being a jerk. This is all going on as Lissa is being harassed by a stalker. If you like redeemed alphaholes, smart women, action, intrigue and love this is the book and the series for you. Fast paced, energetic and engrossing.
Romance, intrigue and suspense with a smattering of broody angst....what more could I ask for in a book? The heroine, Lissa, is a smart and resourceful doctor. The hero, Cam, is a tall, buff bad boy who owns his own security business. He has long been Lissa’s secret crush, and his recent engagement comes as a real blow to her heart. He is the older brother of her best friend, and he considers her to be a pseudo sister especially since his family took her in after the death of her parents when she was a teenager. At his engagement party, Cam finally notices the sexy, beautiful woman she has become and when her skills as a doctor are praised, his unexpected interest and attraction to her deepens. He is engaged because he felt it was time to follow in his married friends’ footsteps, and not because of a deep abiding love. When an altercation leaves him injured, and suddenly single again, Cam appears on Lissa’s doorstep to take advantage of her skills as a doctor. While she tends to his injury, both are very aware of the sparks of attraction between them. One stolen, passionate weekend and Cam walks away from her, believing he is not good enough for her and unaware that he has left her feeling that she was the one who was found lacking. When Lissa’s discovers she has a stalker, one who is becoming more insistent and scary, she refuses to contact Cam to ask for his help. But her BFF, his sister, contacts him anyway. Lissa forces him to take a hands off approach, not being able to forget his rejection or her hurt. With man caught and in custody, Cam approaches her again, unable to stay away. Secrets are revealed, desires temporarily quenched, and promises are made. They are taking time to get to know each other and starting to make plans for the future, when the unthinkable happens..... Lissa disappears. Can Cam find and save the woman who has stolen his heart?
I found this story to be fast-paced, fascinating and enthralling. I could not put it down! I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I was introduced to this author and series through the ARC program with BookSprout. I have enjoyed the previous books, but I have to say this one stood out to me. It was a super-fast read that kept me interested and engaged. It can be read standalone but if you like this one definitely read the others. In fact, I would recommend starting from the first one since you will get a better idea of the background of both the main and secondary characters. The characters in this book were likeable and had some depth beyond their primary storyline. In this book, we are introduced to Dr Lissa Morgan, who is best friends/almost sisters with Dani Taylor. Her brother Cam is one of the founders of Tactical Solutions and has been Lissa’s crush for years. When they are reintroduced at Cam’s engagement party, Cam finally sees Lissa for the accomplished woman she is. Not long after that, Cam shows up on Lissa’s doorstep in need of her medical assistance and possibly more. Yet he is not the only one in need of help. Lissa ends up with a stalker that seems to be escalating, so Cam and Tactical Solutions are there to help Lissa. This is a good series that has both the suspense component but uniquely shows the former soldiers turned security specialists working with the police to really make a difference. This is one of the main differences between this series and other stories with similar setups. It is unusual to show the private security types being able to work with local forces without animosity or territorial issues.
To say Lissa Morgan's life has been hard would be an understatement. Losing her parents and surviving the crash that took them, is just one facet of her life. Committed to saving lives, Lissa is not a doctor and also a flight doctor. After her parents death Lissa goes to live with her best friend Dani Taylor's family. Cam Taylor has always been dark and broody. Never one to see a future with a wife and kids, something inside Cam is broken. Deciding to ask someone he doesn't love to marry him seems like the right move. When it is engagement party time Lissa and Cam are in the same room for the first time in a very long time. Lissa and Cam are electric! There is no denying the attraction and the underlying crush that Lissa has had for years is still present. They back and forth between Cam and Lissa is short lived , which is nice. As a stalker keeps taunting Lissa, Cam and his Tactical Solutions International buddies get involved and are determined to get to the bottom of this. For me I need this story to be longer (145 pages) I felt at times that this all just happened so fast. I will give the author a little leeway since they Cam and Lissa have known each other for a while. But man, I just need a little bit more of something. It was a pleasant read , just too short for my liking. Will I be back for the rest of the guys stories, yes!

**I receive a copy of Lost and Found (Tactical Solutions International) from Net Galley and Wave Equation Media in exchange for a voluntary and honest review. My opinions are my own and not solicited in any way**
Lost and Found by Maggie Clare is the third book in her TSI series and I have to say that this book is a non stop, pedal to the metal, fast paced ride to the end. I can't wait until the next book to come out so that being said I give this addition 4.8 stars. Fantastic story and I'd recommend reading the books in order as major characters appear in each book.
Dr. Lissa Morgan loves her job as a ER physician but lately there have been creepy notes in her locker and they're escalating.Meeting Cam Taylor at his engagement party has her remembering her crush on him. Cameron will show up when he's injured and be there when the threats escalate, he'll do everything to find her when she's kidnapped.
Cameron Taylor grew up with Lissa after his parents raised her after hers will killed in a car accident. But seeing her again years later rekindles memories he's tried to forget can Lissa help him move on so that they can see what the future holds? Will he find her in time after she's taken?
I haven't read any of the other books in the series yet but that hasn't dimmed my enjoyment of this book. (Edit. I have now added them all to my HUUUUGE TBR list!)
Lissa is an amazing doctor but she has a love life than needs emergency attention itself! Her childhood crush on Cam has always been present but she has done her best to ignore her feelings for him. Attending his engagement party pretty much has put paid to any glimmer of hope for them.
Cam has had feelings for Lissa for a while. But she is his sister's bestie, an excellent doctor and all-around nice person. She essentially lived with them growing up but he never saw her as another sister. But when his engagement ends in a burning ball of embarrassment, it ties in with stalking activity against Lissa. Enter Cam, Knight in Shining Armour. A chance to be around Lissa is just a bonus.
Brilliantly paced, engaging characters, action, adventure and oh so hot and steamy romance! Talk about a slow burner romance, these two have been on simmer for a decade at least! I admit I teared up when we found out the reason why Cam became Mr In Control and responsible for everyone.
WOW ... I just loved Cam and Lissa! I could not put this book down. It checked all the boxes for me ... it was a slow burn romance with lots of action in and out of the bedroom and you never knew what was going to happen next. It was very realistic as not only did it show the good side of life, but it also showed the dark side that resides in some of the characters.
Lissa lived with Cam's parents after her parents died. Cam was like her older brother even though he had already left home by the time she moved in. Lissa has always had a crush on Cam and he hardly noticed her. That is until years later, when she attends his engagement party dressed to kill in a little black dress. When Lyssa's apartment is broken into and Cam finds out she has a stalker, he feels this possessive need to protect her.
I really like how the author brought in characters from the previous books and I can just tell that there are a lot more stores with other characters in the book. This book is a fantastic addition to the series and I can't wait for the next book!
I received an early copy in exchange for a honest review.
I loved Run and Hide and knew I was in for a treat with this new story in the series. Boy, was I right. This story centers around Dr. Lissa Morgan and Cam Taylor, owner of Tactical Solutions Int’l. Liss is ER physician whose teenage life was changed the day her parents were killed in an accident. She was adopted by her neighbors and best friend’s family. She always crushed on her older brother, Cam. But he was 7 years older and didn’t even notice her. That is, until he sees her the night of his engagement party. Weeks later when his life was turned upside down, she would be there for him to heal him physically and emotionally. But he has issues and each goes their separate ways, until a stalker’s threats escalate and she needs the help of his security company. When Liss is in danger, Cam realizes he’ll do anything and everything to save her. This emotional and action packed story will keep you turning the pages, and your heart pounding. Another winner by this talented author and a story that will leaving anxious to read the next story in the series. I was entrusted a copy of this book by Netgalley and the publisher. The opinions expressed are solely my own.
It’s been a couple months since I read the second one but the author makes it super easy to jump right back in with a few chapters. Lissa lost her parents early in her teen years but thankfully she was put into Cam and Danis family. Her and Dani are great friends but Lissa has had a crush on Cam for a while. I don’t know how I expected this story to start but it wasn’t with Cam getting engaged to another woman that definitely wasn’t for him. Lissa and Dani had to attend the engagement party where Cam realized that Lissa had grown up. I loved the chemistry between these two from the start and I liked how concerned Cam became for Lissa. Lissa also had a hard job as a nurse and long hours but Cam was there for her. I felt that the plot of this one was a little bit like the second one considering what happens to the women but it’s different characters and different reasons. Cam was a great guy and works great with his team. I felt so bad for Lissa and didn’t expect the person at all. This story had me on the edge of my seat and I expected it to be a different person but the author kept me guessing. I’m excited for the rest of the series or even a spin off!
Independent reviewer for Archaeolibrarian, I was gifted my copy of this book.
You know sometimes, you just need a book you can read, and not really pay much attention to? One that doesn't tax the brain too much?
This is why I enjoyed this book. It was just what I needed after a particularly difficult day at work. I started it, and then I was done.
It's a really good book, but one that didn't blow me away.
I did enjoy the speed that things moved for Lissa and Cam. Usually, that would be a negative, but I think for these two, who have known each other forever, it was probably the best thing for them.
Some attention to the language used would have been good. At points it refers to certain parts of the male anatomy in the vernacular, slang and then, for some reason, it switches to the proper name for it. Kinda threw me, that.
It does get a bit steamy, but while it's hot, it's not a lot. If that makes any sense!
I liked that who I thought was the stalker, wasn't and I love being kept on my toes for that!
I am really enjoying this series, the writing is great, as are the characters and storylines. I love how they are interconnected and how people's strengths and weaknesses feel real and relatable. Life isn't easy at times but with support and self belief, you can survive.
Cam broke my heart after he stole it; he was such an amazing man, strong, honest, caring, honorable and loyal. The pain he hid surprised me, as did the strength he showed facing that pain, it just made me love him more.
Lissa had me on her side from the get go, she was such a strong character, an amazing doctor and person. The compassion and love she had for her job and life in general just shone in all that she did. Cam and Lissa together was a match made in heaven for me.
There are so many characters I want to see more of, they feel like part of the family and I want want them all to happy. Roll on book 4!
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
A good read with steam and some suspense and I did enjoy these two and would have given it 5 stars if not for one part that had me shaking my head and thinking that Cam is not so great. The story starts out strong and these two do have sparks, the suspense and the flow of the story is also good but Cam I liked, then I didn’t. The author didn’t make it clear whether he cheated or not, just that he went back to his old dating habits and it wasn’t clear whether he did cheat on Lissa or not before his date with the woman he ended up in the hospital with. I am willing to give the benefit of the doubt to the author and that s why I give it 3.5 stars instead of a 1 because I can’t stand cheating in a book. If a couple get together and then breaks it off and unless they have been apart for years, it’s cheating in my eyes. I really liked Lissa, she was strong, independent and had a backbone as well as the suspense, bit of mystery and the flow of the read. *I voluntarily read an advanced copy and expressed my honest opinion*
This is the third book in a series, and I hadn’t read the first two, but I really didn’t need to. These work well as a standalone, although I did notice characters that were featured in the first two books that make an appearance here, and I will definitely go back and pick up the other two. I’m not a huge suspense reader, but this book hit all the sweet spots. Lissa lost her parents at a young age and was taken in by Dani and Cam’s family. Cam was older, and already off to college when Lissa moved in, and although they knew each other, they didn’t hang out together much, but Dani was Lissa’s sister in every way except blood.
When this book throws the two of them back together, Cam will see Lissa as an accomplished adult, a doctor in an ER that works brutal hours. This book is packed with action, danger, violence, suspense with a few twists I didn’t see coming, romance and love and loyalty from Cam’s amazing team. Romantic suspense lovers will enjoy this one.
Cam runs Tactical Solutions and has been able to protect and save so many. Lissa grew up being best friends with his sister, having a huge crush on Cam who is 5-6 years older than her. Now a doctor, she still wonders about him until one day he arrives at her door in a real ugly state. They slowly start to tear each others walls down but keep their distance, until a stalker kicks it up a notch with Lissa. Now Cam is her only help. Love the characters, their backstories and banter. The author puts you right in the middle of things with such deep details and vivid locales. The roller coaster ride on this story will keep you up at night, reading until the end. Totally engrossed in this series and the author has set herself quite a task to keep writing at such a high level of action, steam and suspense. Well done.

Captures your emotions and attention: I really enjoyed this 3rd book in the Tactical Solutions International series (which can totally be read as a standalone). It was engaging and I felt an immediate connection to the main characters and was fully invested in their story. Cam has known Lissa since childhood but has always seen her as a little sister. Now that she is in danger he can't deny or ignore his feelings for her any longer, even though he struggles with guilt and feelings of inadequacy. Meanwhile Lissa has been hurt in the past and I was so happy when things finally worked out for them. I liked the tension and intrigue surrounding the stalker, although I wasn't totally on the edge of my seat. Overall a good book for fans of romantic suspense. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review. All opinions expressed are solely my own.
I just love it when I read a great story that leads me to a new author. Yeah! That is what happened when I began to read Lost and Found. Dr. Lissa Morgan has had a crush on Cameron Taylor, but knows it is hopeless when she is invited to his engagement party…to another woman. Cam realizes that he may be making a mistake when he sees Lissa at the party. Such a great cast of characters and a story that is not really new, but was unique in its own way and a wonderful read. Lissa has a stalker and Cam wants and needs to keep her safe. When she recognizes her stalker, it is too late and Cam and his Tactical Solutions team must race the clock to save her. Loved it and look forward to the first two books in this series along with the promise of more. I received an advance review copy at no cost and without obligation for an honest review. I really enjoyed this book a lot. It’s the third book in the series, but can easily be read as a stand alone novel.
I loved Liss. She’s an ER doctor and an all around great woman. She’s smart and strong. I’ll admit, I couldn’t stand Cam at first. He was a grade A jerk that didn’t deserve Liss, but he totally turned it around and redeemed himself!!
Liss has had a crush on Cam since they were kids, but he’s 7 years older and never looked at her that way, until now. But he’s got some childhood trauma and guilt built up and believes he doesn’t deserve good things.
When Liss has a stalker Cam sets his security team up to protect her - and he starts to realize that Liss is the perfect woman for him.
Dr. Lissa Morgan is disappointed to discover that her long time crush Cam Taylor is engaged to be married. When his engagement ends, Lissa find him at her door. After spending a beautiful night together, Cam lets her know that there is no future for them. When he discovers that Lissa has a stalker, he drops everything and is there to protect her. I received a free copy of this ebook from the publisher through Netgallery. This is my honest and voluntarily given review. This is a good romantic suspense book. Cam is really drawn to Lissa, but he does have a reason to hold back. With the stalker's action escalate, this story becomes very suspenseful. Lissa and Cam make a terrific couple. I would love to see this book made into a movie. This is an enjoyable and quick read.
Cam and Lissa's pasts are intertwined - his family took her in when her parents were killed, and her best friend is Dani, his little sister. Lissa has picked up a stalker, and his actions seem to be escalating. When her home is broken into, Cam's security company begins to provide security. The story is emotional and fast-paced, with action that never stops. Cam and Lissa are just sizzling hot together, and I found myself hoping for them to get things figured out between them. Cam seems like such a great guy, and it pained me to see him believe that he's not worthy of her love. I enjoyed this book enough that I have purchased the first two in the series.

This is the 3rd book in the Tactical Solutions International Series, but the 1st book I've read by this author and judging by this one, I'll be reading the first two very soon! This was a surprisingly quick, fast and very easy read although it's a full-length novel. The story flows easily and moves quickly which I find quite enjoyable in a romantic suspense -- it's not long and drawn out with unnecessary information. At first I found Cam to be a bit detached but once I got into the storyline and understood his background with Lissa and his family, it all made sense. And the chemistry between these two is palpable! If you're a fan of romantic suspense, I would definitely recommend this series. I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC for NetGalley.
Dr. Lissa Morgan has a great career, family, and friends. She also has been harboring a huge crush on her best friend's brother, Cam. One night Cam unexpectedly shows up, battered, bruised, and cut and needs medical attention. After a glorious weekend together, Cam tells Lissa this can never happen again. Devastated, Lissa continues on and says she understands. He cares for her, deeply, but feels he does not deserve her. Then a stalker enters the picture and Cam realizes that he needs to save her - what happens next is for you to read. I wish I had realized this book was part of a series prior to reading it. I felt like I was missing something when they would reference other people. However, the book was enjoyable and kept me engaged.
Nicely realistic, multi-dimensional characters. Believable situations. Enjoyed the interactions of the lead romantic pairing, although the sex got rather one-sided. Liked the supportive family, and the complete ending of the first relationship before starting the next. REALLY liked the understanding and relative amicability of that.
The 'danger' element felt tacked on. Like, everything is going fine and then suddenly, someone remembers the REALLY SUSPICIOUS NOTE from 50 chapters ago. Figuratively.

This is the second book for me by Maggie Clare and the 3rd in the series. I really liked it. What made it so great to me is Lissa. She is one intelligent, caring, take no crap, sense of humor women. Cam is the alpha male, co owner of a security company. Yes he carries baggage, and when you find out what baggage, you will be surprised. This was a quick read that flowed seamlessly and hit all the right spots. Steamy, suspenseful with a rocking protagonist Thank you Booksprout and Maggie Clare for the arc and the enjoyable read. All thoughts and opinions are my own that I freely share.
This was a good book to read. Cam and Liss had grown up together but were not related. Cam gets engaged to someone he knew he didn't want to marry and realized it pretty quickly. Liss had a stalker that escalated when she started seeing Cam. When it gets out of hand with the stalker, Cam realizes how much Liss means to him. I liked the characters and how they worked together. Very likeable. I haven't read the other books in the series, but I will look them up now.
I got this book from NetGalley for an honest review
This is the 3rd book in the Tactical Solutions International series and it sure doesn't disappoint. This book features Cam Taylor the boss of TSI, and Dr. Lissa Morgan, she has a big soft heart and is in love with Cam, and has been for ages. Lissa is being stalked, Cam comes to the rescue to save her. So if you love very Strong Alpha man, exceptionally feisty woman with whom he fell love with, then this is what you love to read then this is for you. He will do everything in his power to keep her safe
