Ghostly Affairs

Rate this book
A house full of secrets. Two restless ghosts. A mystery to solve.

Lorna Shadow starts a new job under the frosty glare of her old-fashioned employer, Lady Camilla.

Having to fight off the unwanted attentions of a sleazy handyman and a spoiled son might be bad enough, but then two ghosts appear, and Lorna has their murders to solve.

Helped by best friend Helen, who gets a taste of love (but not for long) and her furry best friend, Flipper, Lorna needs to help the ghosts and keep her demanding employer content.

Lorna is also faced with a personal dilemma with Zach. Can she keep him and the ghosts happy? If anyone can, it's Lorna!

Ghostly Affairs is book four in the Lorna Shadow cozy ghost mystery series. There's plenty of mystery to be had, ghosts to help, and suspects to question in this fun, clean mystery read.

O’Connor is the author of the Witch Haven mystery series, the Crypt Witch cozy mysteries, the Lorna Shadow ghost mysteries, the Holly Holmes baking mysteries, the Zee Town paranormal cozy series, and the Old Sarum mystery series, along with other titles available if you cast the right spell. She graduated from the Universities of Southampton and Reading, where she received degrees in Archaeology and Cognitive Evolution (both highly entertaining to take part in, but with the career options of a ground witch’s toe bone.)

Such a fun group of characters (and ghosts). Lorna and Helen discover the secrets of the missing daughter. Only one thing bothers me in these books: the use of the ghosts “shook his/her head”. Does that mean yes or no?

And the fun continues in this series. More ghosts, more murders and an unusual murderer this time. I am enjoying this series with Lorna, Helen, Zach and the lovely dogs Flipper and Jessie. If you like dogs, ghosts, murder and a good clean read, then this is the series for you.
I was given an Advanced copy of this book and am freely and voluntarily writing this review.

I LIKED THE BOOK A LOT. THE WAY LORNA IS HANDELING THE GHOSTS ARE SOMETIMES A RIOT(MEANING I LAUGH A LOT).
HER FRIEND HELEN IS SO HELPFUL, BUT CAN SOMETIMES BE SCARED OF THE GHOSTS AND FLIPPER IS VERY HELPFUL ALWAYS.
IT IS A SHAME THAT ZACH IS NOT ALWAYS UNDERSTANDING HER NEED TO HELP GHOSTS.

Ghostly Affairs is the fourth book in the Lorna Shadow Cozy Ghost Mystery series. Once again, Lorna is trying to solve the mystery, this time of two ghosts' deaths. As always, Lorna has issues to deal with while investigating, but this story keeps you interested. Definitely recommend.

Interesting set of characters. I would like to have seen a little more melting of the ice queen, but all in all, it was a really fun read.
