A handbook to effective public speaking can help even the nervous speaker to correctly use humor, deliver a speech effectively and efficiently, target an audience, and more. Reprint.
After reading this book I became a fan of Ed Wohlmuth’s writing, he keeps it simple and it’s fun to read while being able to provide great information about public speaking, the way the book was divided in content makes it more efficient for the reader by providing the needs, will read it again to refresh my knowledge.
The author provides practical and timely advice that is relatable to both novice and experienced communicators. He describes the six signals that every audience wants to hear, and his informal writing style and humor make this an easy read. I had the 1983 edition so the illustrations about technology and entertainment were outdated, but the basic ideas came through since I'm from that decade! I enjoyed this book.
