Craving Eden pulled me in from the first chapter. You get the struggle between these two, especially because Eden made poor decisions from being young and alone and regretted it after. That so real life! But thank God for fated mates giving you a do-over.
The storyline keeps you trapped in the binge read. Emotions make you feel in the story as a whole, and see these characters as your real-life friends you want to help. Plus, I love the happily ever after, and a man willing to do anything to protect his love and his family! My only sadness is now I want more of Eden & Jake :)
Gianna Xander is a new author to me, but this book "Craving Eden" was definitely an enjoyable heartfelt read. With all the mystery found in paranormal romance with shifters and their magic, it was a really nice turn of events to be able to feel and understand how both the main female characters in this book felt, especially when they had spent so many of their years running for their lives. Eden and Harper had only ever wanted love and security in their lives, so even though running from Haven had seemed like a good idea to begin with, it doesn't take Eden long to realise she had made a huge mistake, could she ever hope to have the love of her life accept her back. Can she be forgiven for her actions, or will those who are chasing her find them both before she can rectify a major wrong. A great read with plenty of suspense, mystery and neverending possibilities of hoping a woman's wish could come true. Beautifully written and created for us to jump straight Into a world of all types of possible scenarios.
It was a good book in that it kept me just interested enough to read to the end but unfortunately I won’t be continuing on with this author or this series.
There was so much repetition throughout this book it gave me a headache. I know it’s called “Craving Eden” but man, if I had to read crave, craved or craving one more time, I was going to scream.
It had potential as a story but kind of fell flat. The ending was not what I was expecting and not in a good way. It was just...blah. I’m not sure why the writer made it so anticlimactic. It was just weird.
Eden should’ve been a strong likable character but I had issues with her. There just wasn’t any chemistry between the two and using the whole mates for life thing in order to avoid building characters doesn’t work for me.
It was kind of all over the place. It was super slow in some areas and then you skipped months. It was rushed and needed some good editing.
Maybe you’ll like it? But it’s not for me. I only finished the book to see what the scene between Jake and Edward would be like to be utterly disappointed, but that’s probably a good thing because it was the straw that broke the camels back and was the deciding factor in why I won’t continue with this series/author.
This book was well-written. I've read a few paranormal romances in the past and this author knows the genre. The basic plot was good. One thing I do like about wolf shifters is the way they protect each other, how loyal they are to their family and pack. What I don't really like about these books, and the main reason I read fewer of them now, is how graphic and excessive the bedroom scenes are. I also wonder what one of these books would be like sans the "fated mate" which removes any kind of free will from any characters who have a heart. I think the expletives were almost too much for me, but one does expect them in this genre. If my issues with this book aren't troublesome for you, and you enjoy a well-written book, then I'd recommend this one to you.
This is the first book I read from this author and let me tell you that I loved it! Such a good book with great characters that keeps you obsessed with every page since the first one. The ending of this book.. come on! I just didn´t expect it! Can´t wait to read other books from this great writer! Amazing job! a must-read! A fantastic book that has it all! I happily endorse this story to any and all who are looking for a Romantic Action enjoyable read and a completely different experience than anyone could imagine on their own. ¡Great book!
The idea behind this book was solid, but the execution needed work. There were some editing issues, quotation marks either missing or randomly put in, there would be short time skips to move things along but it honestly felt jumpy because of it. I honestly didn't feel the chemistry between Eden & Jake, nothing was really explained about Harper's talent, the whole book essentially read like a slightly more in-depth summary than a full story.
I was excited when I first started reading the book because it started off good but it very quickly dropped the ball.
Craving Eden : Wolf Shifter & BBW Paranormal Romance (Shifters of Wolf Lake Book 1) by Tianna Xander this is such an awesome story that I have had the privilege to read and give my honest review on. This is book number one in this awesome series written by a brand new author for me to read. I can not wait to read the rest as I am so badly waiting on the edge of my seat. I highly recommend this story to everyone who loves reading about wolf sifters and paranormal romance.
The story of Eden and Jake is decent. Would have been better if the bad guy was fleshed out a bit. As it was, he caved too easily. Story finished at 88%, and was followed by 3 chapters of the next book in the series, which means effectively paying twice for that book.
This book should of been longer and explain more things it was rushed and boring the characters are good other than that it’s shit like put more time and effort into what you are writing
Second chance love story. I thought it was cute and easy but very shallow. The conclusion was too easy. I would have liked a little more conflict in the book and more of the interaction between the two MCs. Still I enjoyed the story.
I was impressed with the detail in such a short read. Well done delightful and fun. You should probably just buy the series you'll want to read them all.
