The beautiful cover of “The Art of Cooking with Cannabis” cookbook, by Tracey Medeiros, immediately piqued my interest and caused me to want to know more about this interesting subject and book. I love the idea that the book offers cannabis as a culinary ingredient, yet gives the reader the option of creating the book’s delicious recipes without using the plant if they so choose. Medeiros has written a delightful cookbook that is brimming with all manner of delicious recipes that can be made with or without cannabis … either way they are wonderful.
The book’s profiles tell the story of the folks who kindly shared their recipes and how and why they were created. Being a newbie to the world of cannabis, I found the book’s chapters to be helpful and extremely informative. This book is written in an easy to understand fashion with wonderful recipes, interesting profiles and a simplistic, yet educational explanation of CBD, Hemp and THC- just what I needed. I found the profiles to be fascinating, giving a behind the scenes snapshot of the book’s contributors and the journey that led them to create the recipe/s that they shared. Oh, and did I mention the photographs are awesome! This book is a treasure that is going to be front and center on my bookshelf for years to come!
Pleasantly surprised by how informative about the use of CBD, hemp and THC in cooking this book was. While I haven't tried any of the recipes they all look really nice and could easily be made without the CBD oil. As someone who has suffered from a chronic pain condition for most of my life I have been intrigued by the use of CBD as a health aid. Unfortunately I'm not a lover of the taste of the CBD products I have tried but it would be really interesting to see how these recipes taste with it added in.
