BLURB: I was told to: Watch him. Study him. Groom him. Use him. I wasn’t told to become obsessed with him... But I wasn’t told not to, either. I have Secrets. Want to hear them?
REVIEW: Honestly I grabbed this anthology because I needed to know more about Griffin Evans. After meeting the obsessive stalker Riley Tucker in NEEDS from the Stalkers anthology I immediately I knew I’d have to have more from this boy and his prey.
SECRETS is more of a prequel to NEEDS, we get to see inside the twisted Evans family when Riley was a teenager. We learn how Riley is connected to Griffin. And a forbidden romance is formed amongst two people you’d never expect. Nope, not Riley.
The double standard this family has when it comes to intimate relations is quite misogynistic but I guess some things are thicker than blood.
❌ NOT a standalone ❌ MUST reads in order to thoroughly enjoy and understand this story

IGNORE the warning if you have read this author before you do not need the spoilers. Still not sure what to make of this one. It was a disturbing tale of religious morals and values under the tutelage of the Abbas of HϴMΣ, Lawson Bennett. Kester is the Abbas’ disgruntled son-in-law. Having been forced into a loveless marriage, after a coerced pregnancy all he wants is freedom.
His sister-in-law is his one true friend and his wife is the evil he must reside with every evening. Every man has his breaking point and witnessing Kester handle his is intriguing to say the lease. This story took an unexpected turn and left me wondering if this is the last we’ll see of Kester’s eclectic soul. . . 💙 Fragile Vows by Ally Vance (MF) RATING: 5⭐️

BLURB: Watching my twin brother marry the girl I love was a torture I never could've imagined. Watching him waste the love and affection she gives him, while repaying her with abuse cuts me deep enough to leave a permanent scar. He stole her from me, then he broke her, jealous of the connection I once shared with her. Only now, he's too wrapped up in his own self-loathing and desperation to make us both suffer. I love her... more than I could ever admit, and sometimes I think that she still loves me too.
REVIEW: Identical twins, what could possibly go wrong? Absolutely everything.
When a woman comes between two brothers things can get dicey. Add in a tumultuous marriage and infertility issues and you have a recipe for disaster.
This tale of ‘mistaken’ identity and infidelity will leave you happy and mad all in the same breath. This story has been republished outside of the anthology. . . 💙 UNRULY: A Lakemere Story part 3 by A.A. Davies (MF) RATING: 5⭐️
We first met Rush and his girlfriend Sofi in RESIST which focused mainly on the budding relationship between Rush's sister Haven and Thalia. But we did get a feel for Rush's protective and caring nature. Now in UNRULY we are brought into Rush's life. From the last story I was not a fan of Sofi. She is a spoiled, entitled brat who doesn't display any likeable qualities. And my disdain only got worse. Meeting her birth mom at the age of twenty-one Sofi's true nature comes out and it creates doubt in Rush's mind about the girl he though he knew. For Rush family is everything and he can't fathom why she is so willing to disregard a woman who wants to be a part of her life.
Over the next few days/weeks, Rush has multiple unplanned run-ins with Sofi's mom Remi. It's funny how coincidences can lead to a sense of fate. The pull towards Remi becomes too much for Rush to avoid and we end this story on a fated mate, kismet type relationship. As a HFN ending I can only hope for an expansion on this story in the future.
The complete Lakemere series is comprised of four interconnected stories. The author hasn’t mentioned if this will ever be republished as an omnibus, but we can all cross our fingers and hope!!
✨ PART 1: RIVALRY is a sibling romance between Sage and Storm that was published in the Another Family Affair anthology. ✨ PART 2: RESIST is a FF romance about Sage’s best friend Thalia that was published in the Girls Night anthology. Thalia and Haven are a complicated HFN. ✨ PART 3: UNRULY ✨ PART 4: INDECENT is a forbidden romance between Blaise, a Chicago Fire Captain and partime doorman at Vibe, and his niece that was published in the Final Family Affair anthology. . . 💙 HER LITTLE by J.M. Walker RATING:
✨ this book has been republished under the same title✨
BLURB: I loved my husband. But I also loved my sister in-law. After getting the courage to talk to Jude about my little fantasy regarding his stepsister, I was surprised but elated that he agreed to go along with it. My crush turned into more. My fantasies became reality. My obsession became my little.
My favs: The Scent of Wolves by Jason Hes & Her Little by J. M. Walker
All in all a very steamy and forbidden anthology! Each story had a unique twist to it. I was kept intrigued throughout. Hes' story was one of the best if not the best!!! I need to know what happens!!! LOL.
To be honest it was the name along with the authors that drew me into this antho, but it felt like the few I did read had nothing to do with outlaws? Might just be the head space I'm in.
SUSURRATION by YOLANDA OLSON Like all books by this author It is completely nuts with no holds barred in the very best way. From start to finish I couldn't believe what I was reading. A lot confused me, but still couldn't stop turning the pages.
HER LITTLE by J. M. WALKER Definitely wasn't what I was expecting, although I should of considering I'm a long time reader of this author. I expected more of a storyline but was still well written with characters who knew how to communicate.
The thing about anthologies..it's hard to "round your stars" when the stories are so vastly different in so many ways, despite the common "theme".
This cover. THIS COVER! My goodness, I bought it for this cover alone. I love this guy's face.
Yolanda Olson starts us off with her story. You know, the thing about this author is that...she shines when the story can be fleshed out to its full potential. This anthology caused something to be missing for me because the story had to be short (I assume). BUT if she had written this story, full-blown, I think it would have been amazing (because most of her stories are!).
I don't want to go into every detail about every story. But If I had to choose the ones that stood out to me, it would have to be Fragile Vows by Ally Vance and The Scent of Wolves by Jason Hess. Two authors I already knew were amazing at story telling.
The rest of the stories were not bad, they were good.
But because this is an anthology, I'm going to have to say...
The Outlaws Anthology has a little something for everyone!!
What happens when you hate your father in law or when you love your sister in law a little too much?
Exceptional authors, some anthology regulars and a few new to me, taking in-laws to a whole other level. There’s MF, MM and FF and tons of steam in each story. Dark, twisted and everything I love.
Some of the stories were so good I needed more, like you can’t just leave me hanging like that guys!!!!
*Heed the warnings, especially on Susurration because like everything YO writes, that story is mind blowing!!
Raw, emotional, unique, and steamy. From the first page I was sucked in. In each story the characters are well developed and take over my soul. It twists in unforeseen ways and keeps me guessing every step of the way. I was panting on my knees and begging for more. An anthology full of well crafted and stunning tales. I could not put it down!
Wow. These are some seriously fracked up stories, in the best possible way. They are filthy, dirty, twisted, dark, and really forbidden. They give a whole new meaning to the word family, that's for sure.
Most of the authors in this book were people I was familiar with. I've read a lot of Yolanda Olson and Petra Knox, but Jason Hes was completely new to me, and I can't wait to read more of his work, because daaaaaang, his story knocked me right out.
Susurration
Yolanda Olson's story left me with so many questions. So. Many. Questions. I mean, just, yeah. Then again, her books tend to do that to me a lot.
Unruly
AA Davies has an interesting look at inlaws. Well, I'm not entirely sure that they were inlaws. I do know that I like Remi though.
Her Little
JM Walker. I liked the story overall, but with a name like that, I was hoping for some little action, and there really wasn't. Hot and spicy AF though. Very, very spicy, like Scotch Bonnet Carolina Reaper levels.
Fragile Vows
I think that Ally Vance handled this story really well, and it could've ended up really weird in a couple of places, but she managed well. Very good though.
The Scent of Wolves
Like I said, this was the first one of Hes' stories that I've read, but it definitely won't be the last. I was drug into the monstrous tale, and I want to see wherelse the author can go.
His Best Interest
This feels very in keeping with other stories I've read from Petra Knox. It felt very spicy and forbidden, but with a very light touch on it. Even in a short story, you can see the work that she puts into her characters.
Secrets
Cole Denton does definitely have a lot of secrets in his story. I mean, we get to see some of them, but not all of them, and I think that there are so many more to come.
Fabulous stories, all very quick to read, all very dirty.
I’m very much loving this antho! Each story has it’s own dark twist and I’m just sucking it allll up one chapter at a time! I will continue to update my review as I finish reading the last two stories.
AA Davis- Unruly- 5 stars I really enjoyed this forbidden/taboo plot. I had read stories of reversed roles if you catch my drift but never one with this type of character connection! I’m really enjoying these little shorts by this author and I can’t wait for the next one!
JM Walker- Her little- 4 stars- I’ve never read this author before, I’m pleased to say, I would absolutely read them again! I very much enjoyed the main plot idea but wish it was a little longer with more background story to it!
Cole Denton- secrets- 5 stars! I’ve never read anything like this. The plot gets 5 stars! This author is new to my, but I am very much intrigued.
Yolonda Olson- Susurration- 4 stars- I enjoy how dark this author goes with her writing. She’s not afraid of the more gruesome themes, and the stories are always so memorable even months after reading. I get a feeling of joy and a spark of giddiness every time I’m about to open one of her books!
Petra j Knox- His Best Interest- 3.75 stars- This is yet another new author to me. I very much enjoyed the plot as a whole, but this story, had a few repetitive statements and some inconsistencies if looking things over under a microscope. I will read this author more, but hopefully they take a closer look at things
I don't know what I was expecting at first but what I read had me glued to the screen without stopping. Each story is different but with the same theme of forbidden love with your in-law. There is a little something for everyone as it's not only MF couples. I was blown away because some things were just out there and I loved it!
The scent of wolves by Jason Hes. Jason never fails to impress me with his brand dark and twisty.. This was gritty and rough.. Gunther the Vile was all the nasty I love in a book man. Well thought out and a definite page turner.
This review is only for Secrets by Cole Denton. His story in the Outlaws anthology!
After reading Needs I couldn't wait to get more of Griffins story... I needed it! His deep secrets that you need to know. I was hooked from the first page, like all Cole's story's do, and was intrigued at the twists and raw storyline. I love Griffin and Riley together and highly recommend checking out their story!
This is a super steamy and twisted anthology. These stories had me hooked. This is a dark romance anthology. Definitely recommend anthologies if you want to try new authors, need something quick to read, or love some of the authors already.
My review in the anthology is for Ally Vance’ story fragile vows. This is a second chance romance and oh boy it starts with a wedding! I found myself rooting for the best man from the start. I suppose only a woman in love can tell the difference between identical twins. There was so much I wasn’t expecting from this story, but I guess that’s what made me love it that much more. I was rooting for Cameron and Willow from the very start. Cameron and Willow have a past and that left room for Ciaran to swoop in a pick up the pieces that Cameron left behind, at first he did it right but then at some point he changed and not for the better. Poor Ciaran, not quite knowing how to deal with his pain so instead he takes it out on those around him that love him most. What an explosive ending , I certainly wasn’t expecting anyone to die. I definitely wish there was more to this short story! The author did such a great job , I can’t wait to read more stories by Ally Vance.
I highly recommend this story and I can’t wait to read the other short stories in this anthology.
I'm a fan of anthologies since not only do they usually have something for everyone, but I get to discover new to me authors. See, I've only read 3 of these authors so the other three are new, and I'm certainly ready to read more by them in the future. This anthology is filled with so very dark, raw, and gritty content that I'm issuing a warning since some of them gave me pause & I'm all about the dark & twisty with a kicker of filthy. There are so many twists coming in hot that I'm providing all kinds of loud f-bomb dropping throughout, and that's a place that I'm certainly happy to be because of my dark & twisty self. The forbidden is rampant in the pages & I absolutely ate it up so if this sounds like something you would be down for, just hit those one click buttons & maybe don't read before bedtime! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
This anthology is written by different author’s and is so worth the read. My review is for the following: - Susurration by Yolanda Olson This is Kester’s story. Kester is trapped in a life that he does not want with a wife and father-in-law who have control of everything. The only person Hester can rely on is Sylvie his best friends and sister-in-law, who is willing to help him escape from his life as it is. When Hester plucks up the courage to break away, the higher powers that be do not make things easy for him. This is a well written tale, which I would love to read more about. Each story has a unique twist to it, which leads to an intriguing, thrilling, and entertaining read. I look forward to reading more from these authors, and I recommend this romance anthology for all.
I read, Fragile Vows by A. Vance in this anthology. This is a new author to me and this is a taboo/cheating read. If you're not a fan of that, this isn't for you. I don't mind the taboo, so I was game for the book. This is about Willow and Cameron and his twin, Ciaran. There's history between Willow and the brothers, she had a past with one and then married the other. There's talk of alcohol and drug abuse and domestic violence, it's not described in detail but it's there. This story is a quick read that I was able to get through on my lunch. I enjoyed the beginning chapters but the last 2 or 3, just seemed to be rushed. I wish we had a little more but overall a good story.
I was drawn to this anthology because of the title and cover. However, I don’t believe the Outlaws title is the best for this anthology. I really enjoyed this anthology. But, I was expecting stories about Bikers, Mafia and the like and there were non in this anthology. My favorite was probably J.M. Walker’s story. I want the end of Jason Hes’s story. They were all good and involved steamy moments. There wasn’t really a running theme for the books for me. The closest would be taboo. This anthology was a great read and I would recommend it. Congrats authors you did a great job with these stories.
This review is for Ally Vance's story Fragile Vows and I have received an ARC copy of it. I am reviewing this story voluntarily.
A failing marriage and a sinful attraction to your husband's twin, wishing he is your knight in shining armour. Two twins fighting for their girl, trying to prove who deserves her.
Who will win the girl and what will the twins have to sacrifice?
This story takes you dark places and forces you to feel what the characters are feeling at the same time. Very powerful story and I loved the intensity, the twists and the dash of darkness about this story. Ally has written a very powerful story !! I can't wait to read the other stories in this anthology.
This review is for Yolanda Olson's story, Susurration.
Kester finds himself entrapped in a type of hell, surrounded by whispers, a wife he doesn't love and a father-in-law who is in charge of this hell. With the help of Sylvie, his only friend, Kester is determined to free himself from this place and stop the whispers. Kester is giving the chance to have a meeting with his father-in-law, the one who the others call, Abbas, and the plan is set in motion. Kester wants to treat Abbas as Abbas treated him. Does Kester succeed, break the laws of his life style and stop the whispers? I know. 😁 I love to see more of this story.
My review is based solely (right now) on Cole Denton's contribution to this Anthology, Secrets.
After reading Needs (found in the Stalkers Anthology), it was essential that I read Secrets. I was sucked in from page 1! We learn more about Griffin Evans in Secrets. Griffin has a Secret that has been "burned into my heritage for decades." A twisted Secret! Secrets is a superbly crafted, steamy story. I am invested in Griffin and Riley and cannot wait to read more. Needs and Secrets are vital reads!
Oh. My. Days!! What a collection of stories! Each one had me on the edge of my seat! And hot under the collar, questioning my moral compass at times. But hot damn!!! As always with an anthology for me, I get to catch up with authors I know. JM Walker gurrrlllll! Her Little was fire!!! I also get to meet new to me authors too and this who!e anthology was a fantastic read!!!
Review for Secrets by Cole Denton I was super excited to hear that Cole Denton’s contribution to the Outlaws anthology, Secrets, was a prequel to Needs from a previous anthology! The ending of Needs left my jaw on the floor and wanting to know the hows and whys behind Griffin’s & Riley’s story. Secrets answered so many of those questions, but I can’t wait to read Cole’s next installment of this story in Manipulations!
I bought this anthology originally for AA Davies and her short story and that didn't disappoint one bit at all. Loved getting another view of Rush and would really love to get more from him in a full novella/novel in time! But as always with all these fab authors there's something for everyone... taboo wicked naughty goodness was flowing in each and every story! Most of them I honestly could have read much much more from them as the story line and characters were so good! Well done guys.
Some of the stories in this book are more taboo then others. At least one is straight up wrong. And the to be continued left me frustrated. But all and all a wonderful Anthology. I did buy it for the JM Walker story in the book. She is an absolute favorite. But I did read most of the rest of it and enjoyed them.
SUSURRATION by Yolanda Olson (MM) - 2 stars UNRULY by A.A. Davies (MF) - 2 stars HER LITTLE by J.M. Walker (MFF) - 4 stars FRAGILE VOWS by Ally Vance (MF) - 3 stars THE SCENT OF WOLVES by Jason Hes (MM) - 3 stars HIS BEST INTEREST by Petra J. Knox (MF) - 3.5 stars SECRETS by Cole Denton (MM) - 3 stars
Reading Secrets is my 2nd encounter with Griffin Evans. You first get to know about Griffin in Needs (which is part of the Stalkers Anthology). Secrets has you gripped with the mystery of what Griffin has to share with Riley. It will have you siting back in your seat thinking oh my god and then shouting noo because it comes to an end. All I can say is I can't wait to see what comes next Griffin and Riley Another brilliantly written book Cole❤️😊
