The heat is on… Paramedic Lexi Fletcher is thrilled to transfer to Station 58. For one thing, her commute time is half of what it used to be. For another, Station 58 has a much better facility and far more exciting calls. It doesn't hurt that Dane Chandler, the firefighter she's been crushing on since joining Dallas and Rescue, works there. Okay, to tell the truth, maybe Dane is the biggest reason she requested the move! But just when things with Dane start to heat up, Lexi's dream job takes a turn in the freaky direction. Patients she's been bringing to the hospital are turning up dead, even though they were in stable condition when she dropped them off. Her instincts are screaming there's something fishy going on, but she can't figure out what it is, and she can't get anyone to believe her—except Dane. Can he help her find the killer and stop him from striking again, or will Lexi become the target of a madman?
Paige Tyler is a New York Times and USA Today Bestselling Author of sexy, romantic suspense and paranormal romance. She and her very own military hero (also known as her husband) live on the beautiful Florida coast with their adorable fur baby (also known as their dog). Paige graduated with a degree in education, but decided to pursue her passion and write books about hunky alpha males and the kick-butt heroines who fall in love with them.
Perfect blend of action, suspense and romance. Its like Chicago Fire except its based in Texas. The combination of getting the Fire scenes, the EMT scenes, along with the romance makes for a perfect balance in the reading experience.
I look forward to reading more stories about the guys and gals of Dallas Fire and Rescue.
Hot and sexy firefighters. What a fun romance series. It reads fast and thrilling. And sexy. 160 pages of entertaining escapism.
Excerpt: “Dane hopped up behind her before he could think too much about her legs—and what it would feel like if they were wrapped around him instead of a stupid fake bull. Riding a mechanical bull with a hard-on might or might not be legal in Texas—it was a weird state like that—but it wouldn’t be very comfortable.” Excerpt From: Tyler, Paige. “Ablaze.”
I really loved Dane he was so caring, “okay. But the moment you start feeling tired, I’m taking you straight back to my place and putting you in bed.” I loved this book, it was a quick read (to me anyway) but it packed a great punch.
When you are a first responder there is danger around every corner. Dane Chandler and Lexi Fletcher know all about that as they deal with dangerous situations day in and day out at the firehouse. Dane has been driven by his demons to become the best firefighter he can be. Lexi’s journey to becoming a paramedic was not so clear, but she knows she has found the path she was destined to be on - and the man she was fated to be with.
Oh yes, this quick read is all about the blazing heat that exists in the fire calls they attend as well as the relationship that is growing between them. Dane and Lexi are self-assured, strong and - together - they make a sexy and smart pair. The sparks fly on the job and off as Lexi’s interest in Dane is soon returned. Dane has some soul-searching to do as he struggles with a relationship he doesn’t feel he deserves. Lexi is more than happy to show him the error of those thoughts.
“Orgasm by mechanical bull…” is not the only thing naughty about this powder keg of emotion, sexual tension and old-fashioned romantic suspense. Dane and Lexi have some murky waters to navigate, but watching them do it together made the twists and turns - and the heat they share - a fiery, sweet treat. ~ Diane, 4.5 stars
This series is all about danger, love and scorching heat – I can’t wait for the next installment!
I enjoyed Rekindled, but must say that Ablaze with Dane & Lexi really was just a touch better! Dane seemed like such an ass in most of Rekindled, but I knew he had it in him to be a good guy. I wanted to see that side and we totally did in this book.
Lexi wasn’t weak and I enjoyed her as the heroine. I like how she didn’t take any crap from Dane and gave him plenty instead.
I liked that their relationship was almost instantaneous. I think in their careers they would understand how much life is precious and they wouldn’t want to wait for what they knew they wanted. I enjoyed watching them come to love each other and the chemistry they had together.
This series is great because it isn’t just romance, she has that suspense constantly going in the background of the books. In the first one it seemed almost too obvious who it was going to be, but this time I was totally shocked by the outcome. The one thing I didn’t like in the end was that they didn’t find the body...what does that mean for future stories? I don’t know.
I look forward to reading more from this author!

I really enjoyed Ablaze. I couldn't put it down from the second I started it. I loved both Lexi & Dane. They are both great characters. Not the only great characters in the story, just the ones the story is all about.
I found myself smiling more then once as I read the story. I didn't read the first book in the series but didn't feel lost at all. A plus for me since I don't like to read out of order. I was able to fool myself into believe it's the first story in the series.
Yeah, yeah...I know it's not!
After reading Ablaze I really think this series you'll want to read. If the first book is as good as Ablaze you'll really like it. The story is about novella size but packs a punch. I'll be now adding Paige Tyler to my list of authors to read.
Paramedic Lexi Fletcher is more than happy that her request for a transfer to Station 58 was accepted. There are several bonuses, Dane Chandler not the least of them. There’s a big fire, Dane’s slightly injured, but Lexi insists he goes to the hospital just in case. And while arguing, he starts flirting with her teasingly. That’s when Lexi realises that Dane has been taken with her, as much as she has him. But there is a shadow on their blooming romance: an old man who was rescued in the fire, and who seemed well enough, dies. Then there’s another unexpected death after a fire, and some suspicious people have been notifying the authorities recently, just in time when a fire erupts …
Dane is a seriously nice guy, in addition to his gorgeousness! ABLAZE is a lovely romance, that takes its time; there are some sizzling sex scenes, and a lot of flirty banter between Dane and Lexi. As always, Ms. Tyler’s attention to detail when it comes to her characters’ occupations makes it all appear real, and I loved the friendships and camaraderie that takes place in this book. I almost felt as if I were going on those fun dates with Dane! I did have, surprisingly, a problem with the suspense angle: I thought it was a bit too much over the top, and either unnecessary or too rushed. Nevertheless, ABLAZE is a fun and spicy-sweet romance! Enjoy!
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.
Ablaze is the second novella in Paige Tyler's Dallas Fire & Rescue series. It's all part of her Dallas Fire & Rescue Kindle World, it is pretty big she has almost thirty authors writing with her. Ablaze takes place sometime after the events of Rekindled (really good one too!) Dane Chandler has had his eye on the sexy paramedic Lexi Fletcher ever since she transferred over from another station. Lexi transferred over to Station 58 so she could be closer to the sexy Dane. They had been watching each other waiting until they knew the feelings would be reciprocated. While the entire station has been taking bets on when they would finally hook-up. One night on a particularly bad call Dane falls through the floor and Lexi and her partner Trent are there to take him to the hospital and Dane finally has the courage enough to ask Lexi out. Thing go great Dane and Lexi have great chemistry and easily fall into each other's arms. And as soon as Dane gets over his high handedness and double standard and accepts the Lexi's job is just as dangerous as his and there isn't a damn thing he can do about it the happier they both will be. But something fishy has been happening at the hospital, and Lexi thinks she knows.... Shhhh, no spoilers.
This was an awesome read!!! I really enjoyed it! The characters were great and so was the story! Once started, I really didn't want to put it down but life and work kept getting in the way lol. Lexi and Dane are great and great together! They are drawn to each other but it takes them a little while to actually make their move and get together. I loved their first date and the way that they both treated it. It was so great and adorable! I was just drawn into their story and didn't want to leave. The story is written really well and is very smooth. The relationship and action are blended perfectly together and so you are entertained and attached to the story the whole time. Lexi and Dane's feelings for each other grow very quickly but it feels natural and real. They also have to deal with some suspicious deaths, along with their normal jobs and what that entails. The sex is explicit and well written. It just added to the story with how it was done and blended into it. This story had a great mix of action and relationship and I really, really enjoyed it. I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
A hot fireman and a spunky paramedic draw you into this book. Lexi wanted a transfer to Station 58 to be close to hotty fireman Dane. She is trying to get him to notice her when the perfect opportunity falls into her lap. I loved all of the characters in this book. They were full of life and will make you laugh, swoon and worry right alongside them.
I went into this read thinking it was going to be a romantic, steamy read. And while I was not disappointed in that way Ms. Tyler threw in some angst, action, and twists that made this a suspenseful read also. I will tell you that I did not see it coming of who the killer was. I was expecting one direction and it took a totally different direction. Love a good book that can keep me guessing and surprises me at all turns.
It is a quick read that will keep you interested and invested in the characters.
When Paramedic Lexi Fletcher is getting transferred to Station 58 liked she wanted. She won't admit she has her reasons because of one sexy firefighter. Dane Chandler. It's like instant chemistry between them. They know the score going into a relationship. But something happens when people they start rescuing start to die. What will they do?
Very generic if I'm honest. Nothing interesting or super well developed plot or character wise until the very end, when the story randombly switches to an episode of CSI and not one that made the most sense at that. Add a few more chapters to develop the main characters and the bad guy, and it wouldn't have been that bad, but it works as a beach read or a short little something if you're traveling and have a few hours to kill.
This is a great book; this is the second book in the Dallas Fire & Rescue series written by Paige Tyler. This is a great book with a wonderful story and well developed characters. This book will keep you reading long into the night. If you are looking for a great book, then you need to read this book. I am looking forward to reading the next book by this great author. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader’s copy of this book. The free book held no determination on my personal review.
I was pulled right into this short story. This story contains suspense, love, heartbreak, and pain.
Before reading this story please read the below books first Rekindled (Dallas Fire & Rescue) (Dallas Fire & Rescue) (Volume 1)
This is Lexi and Dane‘s story. This is a short story. Lexi transferred to a fire station closer to her crush. But how can she get him to notice her? After he gets injured in a fire they finally connect. After dating for a while she is put in danger. Will Dane be able to handle it? Or are they over before he could claim her forever? What she investigates some murders and gets herself in trouble will he believe her and help her out? Or will the danger find her first?
I felt I was able to connect with the characters and the story was a great read. I felt I was able to connect with the characters and the story was a great read.
I haven't had a opportunity to read many of her novels but when I do I grab with both hands. This author knows how to fill em with characters that jump at ya giving them some fantastic story lines. In this one it involves a paramedic named Lexi and a firefighter named Dane. They are in the same station with a attraction that they finally give in beginning with a date. It carries you along splendid with them but they also have a mystery to solve that has some deadly happenings that catches us too. Things are building and burning between them too with us getting a sideshow all the way. I loved seeing how they developed but it also had a great timing on the drama. With the romance being why I read it she wraps this up with the ohhhs and ahhhs.
This is book 2 in ... what I am hoping to be a series, but anyways this is the second one. I do suggest reading Rekindled first; returning characters.. the mention of the plot from book one... just makes it easier.
Ok so for a short (for me) book, this packed quiet a punch! I really liked this story.. the firefighter that has a crush on the EMT, the budding romance and the issues of both working such a demanding job. Sexy times that are so freaking hot! Add in the bit of mystery that I didn't see coming at all, this is a 5 star read all the way!
This is a great book with action, suspense, and of course, great chemistry between Dane and Lexi. Lexi is a strong, confident woman that sees what she wants and goes and gets it. Dane is all alpha male that realizes he wants Lexi in his life and learns to accept her as she is. They both have dangerous jobs that becomes even more dangerous for Lexi and Dane is determined to not let the bad guys win.

**Disclaimer: Though this can be read as a standalone, I highly recommend reading book one, Rekindled, featuring Jax, Dane's best friend and fellow firefighter, and Skye, Dane's little sister.**
Lexi, a paramedic, loves her job and is good at it. She started her career at a smaller station, Station 44, but she asked for, and received, a transfer to a larger one, Station 58, allowing her more opportunities to help others on a variety of calls, plus be closer to her apartment. If that transfer also allows her work at the same location as her crush, Dane, well look at how that worked out. *well played, Lexi, well played.* Except she's been there for two months now and isn't even sure he knows she's there, besides in the professional sense. After Lexi and her partner, Trent, finish treating Wayne, an older man with minor injuries from the fire, she's soon inspecting Dane, maybe a little more in depth than needed, for injuries as he fell through a floor while doing his job.
Dane, a firefighter, though a tragedy led to his chosen career, he was born to do this job and hates not being able to continue when he's sent to the hospital to be checked over. Thankfully his injuries are minor and as he's talking with Lexi afterwards, he admits he's been trying to figure out how to get her attention.
Needless to say Lexi is surprised because she thought he wasn't interested. Lexi assures him the interest is mutual and a date is made. As Dane and Lexi spend time together, it's quickly apparent their connection and chemistry are something special, something lasting. However, when Dane reacts strongly and negatively to Lexi's actions during a call, Lexi has to decide if he's everything she thought, hoped, he was. Thankfully Jax gives Dane some advice, making Dane see he was worried for Lexi and it came out wrong, and Trent has some for Lexi as well, helping her realize that regardless of the way it was said, it came from his heart.
Dane and Lexi agree to put their argument behind them, deciding to work on their fears regarding their dangerous jobs. However, Lexi soon has another concern on her mind as her last three patient transfers have died, even though their injuries were only minor upon being admitted. She innocently happens upon the likely culprit and the cause for his negligence, but first the necessary evidence has to be compiled.
Are the police investigating the correct person behind the deaths? Or are they unknowingly looking in the wrong direction, therefore putting Lexi in danger? Will Dane be able to rescue Lexi? Is their a future for Dane and Lexi? Will they get their HEA? Or will their relationship go up in flames before it can truly get a chance?
One-click now to follow along as these two, both with dangerous professions, start a journey toward one of the greatest dangers of all...risking their heart. I can't wait to see which firefighter will be the next to find love.
**I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.**
Lexi and Trent are paramedics for Station 58. They're at the scene of a fire that has two full stations battling the blaze. What happened? How did so many people get out safely? Why did Lexi ask to be transferred across town to Station 58? What happens when she sees a couple of the men from Station 58 carrying another firefighter out? Who is it? What does the Captain order? What is the firefighter's response to all this? Who is Wayne? Seems like an interesting person! The wit and humor of Lexi and another firefighter, Dane, from the same station is so much fun to read. I cannot help but to laugh. Who is Skye? What does she do for a living? As I get to know Lexi and Dane each more, not to mention Lexi's roommate Melinda, another firefighter named Jax, who is Skye's fiancee, I find that I really like these characters. They seem to be salt of the earth, down home, good people. Throughout various parts of the book with various sets of people, you can definitely feel the sexual tension between couples. Who is Dr. Patton and what happens to three patients that Lexi and Trent took to the ER at the hospital? When Lexi talks to Dane about her thoughts, he calls a police Detective. What is the result of that conversation? This turns into a very intriguing mystery and suspense/thriller of a book. Wow. If you want a really sweet romance, with hot, hunky firemen, beautiful sexy paramedics and hospital personnel, and a heavy dose of sexual tension once in a while, this book is definitely for you. I could not stop smiling as I read, laughing loudly at some parts and chuckling with a shake of my head at others. I cannot wait for more books in this series!

Lexi Fletcher, is a Paramedic with the 44th Station fire department, where she has been for the past two years. When she became a paramedic, her goal is to be able to help people. The only way that she can do that is asking for a transfer to a busy fire station and that would be to Station 58. There are so many great reasons to being transfer it would cut her commute time in half. For another thing, Station 58 has a much better facility and they and they also more calls. Okay It doesn’t hurt that Dane Chandler, the firefighter she’s been crushing on since joining Dallas and Rescue, is at this station. So maybe Dane is the biggest reason she requested the move.
Dane Chandler, is a firefighter, he went through tragedy that led to him this career, which he was born to do. One thing that Dane Chandler had was eyes for Lexi, but decided to wait until the right time to ask her out.
Ablaze is the second novella in Paige Tyler's Dallas Fire & Rescue series. If you haven’t read Rekindled, it is a must read too. I don’t want to give too much of the story away. But let me say that everything that Lexi, had work so hard for suddenly the patients that she has been attending to are turning up dead. Will Dane believe Lexi and can he help her find the killer and stop him before he strikes again. Or will Lexi become his next target.
Paige Tyler, has a way of creating so much suspense and romance that you can’t wait until to read the last page. For me I couldn’t put the book down until I knew who and why this was happening to Lexi and what will happen between her Dane Chandler.
Do you like hot firefighters? How about sweet romance? OK then do you want to add a bit of mystery into the mix? Then ABLAZE is the perfect book for you.
Paramedic Lexi Fletcher has transferred to Station 58 and she is thrilled for a couple of reasons. One is her commute is shorter the other is Dane Chandler. He's a firefighter who sets her on fire. Just when things manage to warm up for the couple strange things start to happen. Some of the patients she has brought to the hospital are turning up dead even though they were in stable if not good condition when she left them. Something is not right and the only one who believes her is Dane. Are these just freaky coincidences or is someone out there killing people.
ABLAZE is to put it simply ... a great read. Between the couple, the atmosphere of the fire fighter world and an interesting mystery you will find yourself unable to put this book down. The characters are believable and interesting with varied personalities that you will enjoy the camaraderie of the heroes. Add sometimes funny moments to the story line. The romance moves at a good pace (might have gone faster if some “friends” would stop dropping by at just the wrong time). The touch of mystery was just right and as I am one who tries to solve the crime before I get to the reveal, I must admit I was not looking at the right “bad guy.” The station is filled with fascinating men and women and I can't wait to see who is next.
Lexi transferred to station 58 because it was closer to her apartment. She also liked that the station has a really nice a kitchen. Dane finally asked Lexi out on a date and he wasn't planning on telling his sister about it, but Jax decided to spill the beans. Lexi was getting really suspicious about the things happening to her patients that she and her partners that they were bringing in. She said something to Dane and he called Logan. Lexi Fletcher is a Paramedic for station 58, she has 2 brothers and 2 sisters. She is very close to her family. Dane is a Firefighter for station 58, Cares about Lexi. He doesn't want to see Lexi put her life in danger. Skye's older brother, Jax's friend. Jax is Dane's friend, is a firefighter at station 58, Skye's fiancé. Owns a ranch. Skye is Dane's younger sister, owns her own bakery, she is Jax's fiancé . This is the second book is the Dallas Fire and Rescue Series. This book is very well written and the characters are very well developed. I loved that I found myself very connected to the characters. I loved that I found this book very hard for me to put down and I look forward to reading more books by Paige Tyler
Paige Tyler – Ablaze – (Dallas Fire & Rescue-Book 2)
The newest installment, “Ablaze”, focuses on Dane Chandler. He is Skye Chandler’s brother and best friend with Jax Malloy, and soon to be his brother-in-law (Rekindled - Book1). Lexi Fletcher is a great Paramedic and recently moved to the same Fire House where Dane Chandler works. While there are many reasons that the move is better for her, the fact that Dane worked at Fire House 58 was a deciding factor.
Lexi has been attracted to Dane since the first time she saw him from afar. What she doesn’t know is that Dane is attracted to Skye too. After two months and neither have made a move, Dane finally informed Skye that he is interested. The heat and passion that “zings” between the two is enough to light up the sky.
Then suddenly someone is killing some of the patients that she has brought to the hospital. As she investigates what is going on, she is kidnapped by the killer. Now Dane must find her before it is too late. Can Dane find her in time or will he lose the love of his life?
Please Note: There are several typo errors that may cause you to stumble and lose your concentration.

This book was fantastic, I was hooked from the very beginning. I loved the characters, the story, the twists and turns and all the drama too. All I will say is expect the unexpected, Just when I thought I knew what was going to happen the author threw me another spin. I loved Dane after reading Rekindled I was glad to see this guy redeem himself and he did by the bucket load. But Lexi stole the book for me she was strong and wasn't affraid to go for what she wanted.
Hot firefighter Dane and Sassy paramedic Lexi are one hot couple.
Lexi transfers to be closer to Dane, If she could just get him to notice her. Dane notices her alright but could they really work together?
Their jobs are full of danger but little do they know more danger is in their future. With unexpected deaths and alot of suspicion, can this couple survive the heat?
Their relationship unfolds at a fast pace but so does the rest of the story so that wasn't a problem. This was a quick read but very intense.
