Shaft somehow gets himself stuck in a sticky situation with two different females. One being his Ex. Whom by the is major cheater & also whom Shaft can’t seem to get away from.
Then there is sassy mouth Temple, which we met in Dezzy in Gauge book
I must say one of the things caught me from very beginning was when Temple takes her revenge on a cheating ex’s car. What can I say there's nothing like a woman being scorned, but wait for it there are two scorned in this book… each doing their own crazy stuff….

I can’t blame her after what I just said. I might still love Riley and I fucked her last night. That actually makes me look like a bigger piece of shit than I already did.
I don’t think I’m ugly. I don’t think I’m super model material either, but as I stare at my reflection I wonder why I can’t find a decent man.
“Doesn’t matter. I heard him talking to Gauge in the hall. He said he thought he loved her. I don’t want to get in the middle of that mess,” I tell her as I spin back to look at myself once more. “What do you think of this one?”

Hero is MC member. Heroine is gf with a guy and finds out he’s cheating on her, so she smash his car and dumps him.
The hero was with a gf for years but she cheated on him so he dumped her too.
So, they start having a ONS and then they hook up again, until she finds out she’s pregnant.
But oh, his ex is preggo too.
Instead of minding her own business she pushes him to be with his ex because. I mean, the woman cheated on him multiple times because she is a narcissist insecure woman.
But the hero won’t have it, he loves the heroine and wants to be with her, he will be with ow child but never with her.
Eventually ow turns out to be a psycho as few others.
She kidnaps the hero and the pregnant heroine and plans to sell the child because she’s involved with some traffickers.
After two months hero and heroine are free. Ow dies, the kid was already dead in her womb months before and this is where I draw a line. Very likely she would have died from septicemia after some weeks because this is what happens in similar cases, or she would have aborted the kid.
In the end all is well, ow and the bad ones are dead and everyone is happy.

October 25, 2024I’m not going to rate this because I read this as a standalone, and I did feel like I was missing some foundation/background of Shaft’s relationship with his ex Riley and love interest Temple, but I was in this for the baby momma drama, so I pushed on.
I’ve read this scenario a few times. This didn’t have the level of OW drama that The Right Bride, Rooter/Becoming Jace) had, but it matched them in the H’s level of stupidity. I’m not sure how any book written in present time could not have a pregnancy proven and or paternity discussed. Here, we have the pregnancy confirmed (sort of - we as the reader do because the h is a nurse, but the H never does), but the H states the baby is probably not his because it’s widely known she’s slept around - A LOT, but then two chapters later he just assumes it’s his. Why? That makes zero sense, especially when she is causing buckets of trouble for his lady love who’s also pregnant. And what makes even less sense is that said lady love is constantly pushing him to step up for the nasty screaming vile ex that may or may not even be pregnant with his kid. It was bananas.
Bottom Line- So, it was ok I guess if you’re just looking for drama, but not good if you want it to make sense. I found Temple annoying, she was constantly trying to be a martyr and bringing Riley up. I much preferred the h in Rooter, at least she kept insisting that the OW was a lying cow. Things got a little crazy at the end with exploding bracelets that somehow could be felt for miles and destroyed a house, yet didn’t touch the person standing in the open doorway that triggered it. 🤷♀️

I LOVED THIS BOOK!!!
How can one man be perfect…well almost anyway?! Shaft was definitely all alpha male that had had a heart of gold. Don’t get me wrong because he was still the bad boy biker but he was raised by a good mom who instilled in him truly good qualities that show through even for a one percenter. This good man had a dilemma on his hands because both Temple and his estranged wife, Riley both had become pregnant. Shaft doubted that Riley’s baby was his since she cheated on him numerous times.
Temple was a strong independent woman who worked at a hospital and that is where Shaft first laid eyes on her. She had just learned that her boyfriend had cheated on her which led her to take her anger out on his car which he thought of as his baby. After finding out what she did Shaft was proud of her but her ex was anything but. They had no idea at the time that the ex along with Shaft’s estranged wife would all end up together for an unbelievable turn of events.
I have to say that this is one of my favorite books because of the great story telling of these two. The chemistry between Shaft and Temple plus adding in the good heart that Shaft had towards children made turning every page infectious; I just couldn't put it down. This is a must read book for any MC lover.

Buckle up you are in for a wild ride with Shaft!!! Shaft gets stuck in a sticky situation with both Riley and Temple being pregnant by him. Temple wants to give up and have Shaft stay with Riley but that isn’t something Shaft wants to do, he wants to fight for Temple and their unborn baby. shaft has two baby mamas that means double the drama and jealousy. He is falling hard for Temple but will she fight for her man? This is an explosive addiction to the series and I can’t wait for more!!!

My goodness this man I think I fell in love with this big teddy bear. Temple I really liked her also so strong. She was always willing to put herself in the background to make sure that Shaft did right by Riley whether it was his baby or not. Now for Riley, there always has to be a crazy right?

I really like Shaft's story he is a badass biker with a heart of gold and loves children. When he finds himself having two women pregnant, one, Riley, who was his girlfriend but cheated with multiple men and who he is not sure the baby is even his and the other is Temple who he knows is his baby and he has feelings for and wants to be in a relationship with. Temple can't bring herself to be with him at first because of she thinks he should be with Riley and their baby. Temple is kinda back and forward on wanting to be with Shaft and then not wanting to be with him. Sometimes it bothers me because Shaft is like the baby Riley is carrying can't be his and then the next minute he is rubbing her belly and acting like he knows it is and even makes a nursery for that baby in his house. But once him and Temple decide to be together they make a great couple. Things happen and drama unfolds...will Shaft be able to save Temple? Is Riley's baby Shaft's? You just have to read the book to see.

Shaft is yet another Sexy ALPHA male from the SBMC… I mean how can a chapter be so lucky to has so many such males… he is a good boy who became the bad a*s Biker… but is still the good boy underneath. Just as he begins to question where his future is going … What he WANTS vs Where he is in life ….He has an Ex Riley that is a loose goose and has run off, adding to his uncertainty when a visit to the hospital would set him on a unclear course toward her!
The her in question Temple a lady Alpha in her own right, she is a spit fire ready to blow Shaft off because of what he is as a 1 percenter biker, who must be a cheater …. She is a bit scarred by the fact that her BF has been cheating on her and then because violent as she destroyed his car in retaliation for the cheating.
The BF along with Riley add complexity to the story of Shaft and Temple, so many ups and downs and tug of wars with what is right, what is wrong, and what they truly want. This is a must read! Can wait for wants next.

✭✭✭ - the story and characters were all right- an enjoyable read, but just didn't grip me. This was a fast paced read and the drama that started it off had me thinking I needed to hold on tight for a wild ride. Sorry to say but after that maybe only one other scene really made my eyes open wide in an, "Oh no they didn't!" look. But in all honesty the characters just don't cut it. Where's the depth? Shaft really tries but then opens his mouth. Also, why do we never really get a background on our heroine? I mean her behavior had me wanting to smack her. Was it because of lack of character development or due to her life circumstances? What I want to see from Erin is the emotional depth we get in books like Crow but title characters aren't being killed off. I know she has it in her. This author drinks reader's tears for breakfast. She rocks at tear jerking drama. How about HEA drama?

What’s a man to do when life hands him a gift? A smart man grabs ahold of her with both arms and holds her tight. Shaft doesn’t pretend to be smart. I mean, he is clinging to a lady who doesn’t want anything to do with him, and keeps playing him along. But there is a chemistry with Temple that he cannot deny, and wants to pursue for the rest of his life.
Lots of chaos and interference happens between Shaft and Temple. The ride is definitely not smooth. And while you might want to beat the pair over the head a few times, the frustration smoothes out with a bang and a very happy ending. Look forward to returning characters and new enemies.
Very well written, and worth your time. Erin Trejo hit another home run in my opinion.

Wow ! Erin Trejo did an absolutely fantastic job with this book.
I loved reading Shaft and Temple’s story ! Like always the author wrote a fluid, on the edge of my seat journey that hit on all of the feelings, and took a few unexpected turns that even I couldn’t see coming. Omg Shaft ! I began the book thinking he would be another typical cocky alpha guy, but then the sweet soft hearted man jumped right up to the top of my very long book boyfriend list. Seriously ! He kept trying so hard to do the right thing for everyone. It was practically the same way with Temple who turned out to actually be a sweetheart and a female bad arse. Even the plot twist situation with the ex had me snatching up my box of tissues. I suppose you could say Erin Trejo reduced me to an emotional mess with this one. It’s a good thing, I promise.
In the world of MC Romance, it simply doesn’t get better than an Erin Trejo book. You will be treated to the full spectrum of sinfully hot romance, gritty world building, and breathtaking suspense that is completely unmatched.
I highly recommend this author’s work to anyone who enjoys reading MC Romance.

Another great book by Erin Trejo. This is the story of Shaft and Temple in the world of the SBMC. What's an alpha male to do when he finds out that he has gotten 2 women pregnant. He really has a dilemma on his hands. But he doesn't believe that his ex Riley's baby is actually his as she's screwed around on him with more than one person. When he meets Temple she's beating on her ex's car because she found out that he's been cheating on her. These 2 have that in common, cheating ex's. When these 2 get together it's out of this world. Shaft was a good surprise as he's such a nice guy and loves kids. I love Erin's book and can't wait for more.

Not your typical MC romance. We met Shaft in Gauge and I instantly wanted more from him and devoured his book in one sitting.
What happens when your cheating ex shows up claiming to be pregnant with your child after you've fallen for a women who never planned on loving a bad boy but has fallen for you? If that's not enough, the woman who you love finds out she's pregnant.
Shaft is caught in an unexpected triangle. 1 want who broke his heart and a baby that might not be his and the woman he loves and a baby he knows is his.
This isn't a MC romance. It's a MC soap opera. Well done Erin! You keep bringing us new storylines and keep bringing the unexpected. I can't wait for more from the Maryland chapter.

Love, angst, crazy ex’s all with a touch of frustration, internal struggles and a man who doesn’t know how to keep his foot out of his mouth!
I cannot express enough how much I loved this storyline. Right from the start the tone of this book was completely different from any other Erin Trejo SBMC novel. It was this softness that kept me riveted from start to finish. Shaft just broke my heart with his internal battles while Temple tried to do what she thought was morally right.
This is a definite must read and although it can be a stand alone I recommend reading Gauge first in order to understand everything this book offers the readers😁

Awesome MC Read. Ms. Trejo’s storylines are always full of sexy, thrilling times but I love the way her books have a human element that I can relate to and understand. Shaft is a member of the Maryland Chapter of the Soulless Bastards. While he hits the bill of being a devoted dangerous MC brother, Shaft isn’t soulless. He was raised right and knows what he wants out of life. To the point he can be lethal to get it.
I don’t want to give away the storyline because it’s one that will get you in the heartstrings and hold on tight. Shaft is dealing with two pregnant women, his crazy ex, who he isn’t even sure the baby she’s carrying is his, and a one night stand, Temple, that he knows he wants to have more with. Oh My! I love to read books from Erin Trejo. Shaft is the second book in the SBMC Maryland Chapter. I fell in love with Shaft in the first book. I couldn't wait to read his story. This is Shaft and Temple's story. Shaft and Temple are perfect together and even with the disaster Riley tried to create. Temple takes her revenge on a cheating ex. Shaft is on a roller coaster ride with his ex. There's so many twists and turns with a few surprises. You'll be hooked from the beginning until the very end, just like how I was. Shaft and Temple is one of my favorites! Definitely recommend this book Keep up the awesome work! Can't wait to read the next book in this series.

I loved this book!! It had a little bit of everything, drama, danger, emotion, romance, and the HEA. The perfect combination.
Shaft was such a surprise. He was thrown into some serious drama but his emotional responses were so unexpected. There is a soft center under that hard exterior.
Temple is such a surprising mixture of being level headed but also just a bit crazy! She finds herself thrust into a world of chaos but still manages to hold her head up and hang onto what she wants, a life with Shaft.
When life seems to throw everything at you, just hold on with both hands and stay the course. Shaft and Temple must learn this lesson together!

I really enjoyed this book. It was a little short and it was a brighter story compare to Erin’s usual. Well it was bright until it wasn’t.
Shaft whose real name is Marc is a wee bit of a paradox. He was raised right, believes in God and love children. But as expected, he’s a bad assed biker and a killer.
Temple is the nurse that cared for Dez (Gauge’s old lady) when she was hospitalized and they’ve developed a friendship through Dez’s multiple hospitalizations. Temple just gets done trashing her current cheating boyfriend’s car when she encounters Shaft. Its not the first time they’ve met and it definitely has not been love at first sight, more like aggravation at first sight.
I’m going to leave it there, because this story has some plots twists that I didn’t even see. This is a really fantastic story that I highly recommend. Again, I don’t know where Erin gets her ideas, but I’m thankful.

This story will pull you from the beginning, Shaft is a hard, edgy alpha biker with a soft heart. His is dealing with a crazy ex who will not let him go and is strongly being drawn to Temple who is friends with Dez. Temple is a sexy, sassy strong opinionated woman who can hold her own which now finds her drunk destroying her ex's car after she finds out he was cheating on her. When Gauge tells Shaft to take her back to the clubhouse, things take a turn as these two find they are sexually attracted to each other and have no choice but to act on their feelings, but Shaft's ex is not making this easy for both of them. When Shaft and the brothers realize that Temple is in danger from her crazy twisted ex lover, the only thing on Shafts mind is to keep her safe. But things are going to take a turn for all of them once Riley shows up and tells Shaft she is pregnant, at first he is shocked but knowing the way he was raised he would never turn his back on his child but how is this going to effect his relationship with Temple. Temple decides she can't deal with this and Shaft needs to think about his child so she decides to give him space but when she turns up pregnant also, no way is Shaft letting this woman go who completes him as Temple agrees that she loves him and is willing to be with him. But their happiness will be short lived as danger and violence is coming for both him and Temple as three major players have put together a plot to destroy them. Will Shaft and Temple make it through this ordeal? Will he be able to protect his unborn child in time? This story had it all suspense, drama, intrigue, violence and plenty passionate emotional moments. Once again Erin brings her characters to life as her readers are taken on a ride or die ride with the men of the SBMC Maryland Charter brotherhood and the strong women who stand by their side. This is a must read!

Miss Trejo DOES NOT DISSAPOINT! I am enamored with this MC. One of the best storytellers out there! This story is one that will make your heart beat and palms sweat. Shaft and Temple will get your pulse revved and make you want to scream at points but all in all it was a remarkably extraordinary story and you can bet it will be one for the Reread shelf! She is one of those authors that once you read 1 book of hers you want them all! I love her works and I am looking forward to more from her!

Once again we are on the ride with the SBMC Maryland chapter and this time we have Shafts story and boy does this alpha with a heart of gold get himself in to trouble. Like all of Erin MC books there is plenty of drama and intrigue before our alpha male gets the future that he deserves

Then he meets Temple and he finally finds the woman that is it for him. What a fantastic book!!
The Maryland chapter of the Soulless Bastards MC is non stop action, drama and pure hotness!
Shaft and Temple are explosive. Shaft is just the definition of the perfect man. Bad ass, tough, deep, big heart, fierce, overly protective and gorgeous.
Temple is a very strong independent female who will have you cheering for her in the opening scene! She’s a perfect match for Shaft and a perfect fit in this world.
Be prepared for a non stop roller coaster ride!

Wow this book was an emotional rollercoaster ride and oh so amazing! Shaft is a bada$$ biker, who underneath it all is a sweet and kindhearted man. His luck with women sucks until he meets Temple. Temple is a sassy and fierce character, I loved her. Temple and Shaft’s chemistry was incredible. This book is action packed and filled with drama, twists and surprises. I loved everything about it and can’t wait for the next book in this series.

Shaft and Temple were attracted to each other from the very beginning but they both had issues from their pasts that needed to be resolved. The storyline in this book made it a page turner with the ups and downs and the twists and turns with the drama and action. Erin did not disappoint, love this new book.

As always Erin did not disappoint. Shaft and Temple are so good together. Shaft is a step up kind of guy. If only more guys were like him. Family means everything to him. Erin Trejo is one the most consistent author I read. Every book of her's bring strong feelings for her characters. Whether they tear your heart out, break it, just little, or simply want to straggle them, you're going to feel these characters. Shaft (Marc) and Temple are two such characters and their story is heart wrenching at times. I loved Temple's strength, determination, compassion, and her moral compass. Shaft was always protective, determined, and became loving and passionate partner. The book is well written, compelling, has surprising twists and turns, and intense chemistry and crazy steam. I cant wait for more from the men of the Souless Bastards MC Maryland Charpter. Great Read
