I was hoping I'd like this one more than I did (really more like a 2.5) b/c I love to champion local authors, but she didn't quite hit on the characters enough for me. Generally speaking, they were two-dimensional and changed too rapidly and completely for it to be believable, especially the main character, Connie. There were certain repetitive aspects that annoyed me as well, like the author thought the readers were stupid and needed certain elements drilled and re-drilled into their heads. It could have been better, b/c the foundation of the story was good; the execution, not as much.

A very pleasant quick read, very enjoyable. I wasn't expecting the ending, but it ends in a satisfactory manner. You could probably read this in one or two sittings, but it's an interesting story that keeps you hooked.
