Look for the Good and You'll Find God: The Spiritual Journey of a Psychic and Healer

Rate this book
Since discovering her psychic and healing abilities in her teens, Echo Bodine has used those gifts to help others. While working as a barber, she often sensed when a client needed healing, and she’d silently provide it. She’s helped people communicate with dead loved ones and helped others using the healing power that flows from her hands. She didn’t always realize what her abilities meant or how to use them, but Echo continued to seek guidance. She discovered that as she sought the good in people and experiences, she also found the love of God and the power of good that come with spiritual practice.

Join Echo for this ride through the incredible events of her life’s journey. From one night’s sighting of both comedian Bob Hope and a UFO to a glimpse into a European past life to a trip to Hollywood to explore reality television, all of Echo’s adventures have deepened her understanding of God and her own humanity. Even situations that looked disastrous, such as alcohol addiction and teen pregnancy, became life-affirming milestones. Her stories reveal a hard-won wisdom that will help you, too, see the good everywhere and find divinity and guidance within.

A great place to start if you need to open your heart back up to God.

Really enjoyed reading Echo’s book after reading her brother Michael’s book on his growing up. I admire this family as they had a lot of changes especially having to do with having wealth. Echo’s honesty about going from middle class to extreme wealth and then losing it all is a great lesson.
This lesson is the dark side of prosperity teachings within New Age thought religions.

For me personally the story of the Monkey’s paw has always been something to consider …

Finding your place in life is often a difficult journey. This was the case for Echo Bodine. Just as she was readying to start her adult life, she was given a glimpse of her future. A psychic told her that she had gifts and that this would be her calling. Like any young adult, Echo wanted no part of such things. She just wanted to be like everyone else.

As often happens, over time Echo came to realize her gifts. With little pushes in the right direction, she also came to accept and embrace her calling.

Learning to her intuition was key. I believe this is the most valuable message of Echo’s story. We all want to find that one thing that we are good at and that is more than just a job. However, getting past our stubborn ideals of what is valuable and what we need to pay the bills often gets in the road. What we really need to do is just listen to our intuition, it’s always spot on.

Insightful, inspiring, captivating. Real life...and death. This book is filled with stories that take readers inside the journey of a gifted psychic, a healer, a medium, but (first and foremost) a person with triumphs and failures just like any other person.

I learned so much through reading this book and I can't wait to read every book Echo Bodine has ever written. Thank God for getting this book to me just when I needed it.

It felt like an entire book of self promotion and self sponsorship, I had hoped for more enlightening or thought provoking material.

From a purely literary or intellectual standpoint of course this is not four stars. But I read it from cover to cover last night. What can I say? New agey stuff is my guilty pleasure. And this one seemed so darned sincere. I know there are a lot of charlatans out there and maybe she is just another quack, but still I sure resonated with a lot of what she had to say. I guess what I like about new ageism (is that what you call it?) is its basic message that there's a meaning hidden behind our life experiences and that every once in a while it peeks out at you in the form of conincidences, little miracles, dreams, special people, etc.

What a fantastic book! My favorite chapter is the very last one where she talks about the beatitudes taught by Christ. What a wonderful reminder of how we all have Christ and God within us. I loved this one! Because I have read most of her books, there was a lot of repeat of different experiences written about in previous books, but still worth reading. I recommend this book to everyone!

She kept referring to her previous books and, yea, I liked those a LOT better than this one.
