A Collection of Relatable Thoughts is dedicated to anyone who has ever felt stuck and is trying their best to not give up. The main topics include staying positive, comparisons, relationships, areas in our lives that we can develop, and finally, a hopeful future. These topics are explored by the author’s own personal experiences which she’s found to be relatable to other people through conversing with others and hearing their stories. The author also writes about the different thoughts she has had when suffering from emotions like anxiety, self-doubt and feeling torn for not understanding her purpose in life.
This is an interactive book, one that a reader can keep editing and going back to. Each chapter has two one is mindful colouring and the other is a suggestive activity. The mindful colouring activity is to encourage the reader to take a few moments of their time to destress and focus at being present in that moment. The suggestive activities are there to give you different activities to do when stress, self-doubt, or the feelings of disconnection arises.
A Collection of Relatable Thoughts is not necessarily a self-help book and does not give the readers step-by-step instructions. Instead it tries to invoke awareness and persuades the reader to make their own decisions as to what changes they would like to make to improve their quality of life.
A Collection of Relatable Thoughts by Everlyne Nyambura is a book that essentially contains musings highlighting about hitting lows before you soar high. It is a collection of poetry, letters, and random thoughts written with an intent to open conversation. Standing true to its title, the writeups are meticulously arranged to say that one has to touch the rock bottom before they gather their strength and go ahead holding their head high.
This book doesn’t contain any poem but the musings struck a chord with me. In fact, in a long time, I felt that somebody was speaking my heart. Everlyne expressed the raw thoughts that portray the realities of so many of us. Divided into five chapters - battleground, them vs you, relationship, learning curve, and soaring - this book compels us to reflect upon so many aspects of our lives. In easy writing, the author managed to articulate the crucial and profound lessons.
In ‘Prisoner,’ she expressed how we humans tend to cage ourselves. We never realize that our freedom would come after paying the price of facing our insecurities. Only if we could, we’d do so much better. ‘Too much effort’ puts forth the pain of those who find it difficult to maintain a conversation with their loved ones. We usually incline towards handicapping ourselves by throwing ourselves in the rut and never trying to come out of it. We crib over everything wrong around us when it is probably we, who assign a low value to our self-esteem.
Moving ahead, the author describes our tendency to switch the lanes to match others’ pace or get ahead of them. We do not reflect on where we actually want to go. We lack the clarity, we live with our fractured self, we live dual lives and then wonder, why living is so difficult. And eventually, we conclude that living alone is easier. I felt this.
And towards the end, Everlyne writes on healing we need. She asserts that the journey to healing is a long one and definitely not easy. Time plays a vital role and so does patience and kindness towards oneself. At a point, Everlyne expresses that social media was a platform for simple interactions. However, with time, it turned into a punishing chamber.
Would you agree?
This book is a good one if you want to read quotes that would perhaps resonate with you, especially in these trying times.
Artists are known to write what they feel and give the best words with which many people can easily relate and many others can understand and agree. Everlyne Nyambura with her poetry collection, “A Collection of Relatable Thoughts” invites the reader to a journey of not just self discovery but also the discovery of the fact that everyone is in the same boat. The cover of the book features a lion which is a symbol of elegance, grace, royalty and most importantly, courage to face and fight anything. This makes sure that the reader is psychologically prepared to read the book and feel the positivity that the book is going to give. The author’s division of the poems into five categories with broad titles only gives a brief idea about the kind work she has written and only on reading them, the readers understand the depth of her thoughts and the things she wants to share with the readers. Poems in “Battleground” are like lifelessons which every person must read to learn and the effects of negative thoughts. “Them Vs You” is a section which should be read by all young readers as they are bound to have gone through all that Nyambura has written about. The title says a lot when it comes to “Relationship”. This is also something all young and mature readers shouls read. “Learning Curve” and “Soaring” are like the author sharing her philosophy of life and all that she has learnt so far. These five phases also give a slight idea about the growth in the pesonality of the poet and her evolving as a mature individual. All readers from different genres or even prose should give “A Collection of Relatable Thoughts” a try and feel the difference the book can bring even in a single read.
🌻A Collection of Relatable Thoughts🌻 Just like the title, this book is a collection of relatable thoughts, thoughts that make us the way we are, thoughts which stay with us all day, all night and thoughts which make us feel happy and sad. This is one of those interactive books that talks with it's readers, it's a guide and overall I feel I found a friend in the book, I mean it. . Basically, it's a collection of poems, some short and some written in free verse, some nostalgic and some sweet with a tender bitterness, it's a collection of letters and some random thoughts that are beautifully brought and crafted together by the author in five different parts of the book. Each part deals with a new aspect of life or living, each part is different, it talks, it teaches and it gives out hope. . . I assume the purpose of this book is to give out hope to everyone who is going through something that they can't really talk but if you are one of them and still a finding a friend then this js it. It's a collection of poems that is not just relatable but also very comfortable to go through, I think this is not something that has to be read in a single go but definitely something that has to be understood, assume and learn from. The language is very simple, could be read by one and all. . . I though wish, things could have been a bit better organized in terms of presentation of content, but definitely it's a book that should not be missed because of many reasons and it gives a very positive vibe, togetherness and a feeling of being loved. I liked the concept and I think one should definitely give it a try. I will recommend it. . Rating: 3.8🌟
You all might be thinking, why haven't I quoted anything from the book? So unlike me, right? But it's because I don't want to belittle any other line by quoting one. Each of the lines holds so much meaning to itself that you want to get back and read it time and again. It is that good! I'm glad that I don't highlight my books, this one would not have been able to bear it. This book has all my heart. I can't thank Eve enough for writing such a therapeutic and motivating piece that has enlightened even the darkest corners of my soul. ••••• 𝗦𝘆𝗻𝗼𝗽𝘀𝗶𝘀: It is full of stories, letters and insights that dive into the realities of life. The book has been divided into five parts, each focusing on one's journey from who they are to what they aspire to become. It also includes some of the activities and suggestions to get over with life, when it's choking you from inside and all you need is a little light. ••••• It is beautifully written and it flows through effortlessly. It has transformed me into someone I have been willing to become but hadn't had courage to accept it. It is something I'll always look up to when I'm feeling low, to have my life influenced by such honest insights. I'm truly blessed to have had the opportunity to read this and would never ever regret revisiting it in times of anguish and disappointment. ••••• Recommended for anyone who wants to find him/herself and are fighting to live up to their expectations.
A collection of relatable thoughts is a collation of poems, letters and conversations in a guise of a self help which aims at encouraging you to move past the barriers and rise - rise and soar heights.
The book is divided into five chapters each exploring a different mindset:
1. Battleground; looks at how overpowering negative thoughts can be when we are feeling defeated. 2. Them vs You; the detrimental impact of comparing ourselves to others. 3. Relationship; the way that our relationships shape different parts of us. 4. Learning Curve; becoming your most authentic self through a journey of self-discovery. 5. Soaring; being your best self.
As I read along this book didn't feel like poetry but like musings - musings to help you regain balance. The funny thing about life is that it's like a see - saw: if one side goes up the other tends to go down. There is no balance - only chaos and you need to find a strong footing amidst that chaos.
I'd compare this book to a song you listen to lift you up - a song which guides you through highs but especially the lows.
I will highly recommend this book to anyone trying to find solid ground in a swamp of forgetful, fragile realities. Someone who wants to connect with pain, vulnerability and move on with the journey. Because the one truth about life is that...it never stops.
This beautiful read, just like the title suggests is indeed a collection of absolutely relatable thoughts. Anyone who picks this book can easily emote to all the thoughts penned down by her. Some of the main topics written in this book include - Relationship, Love, Motivation, Staying Positive, Emotion and other life lessons. She has mellifluously written this book in poetry and prose form which in itself is very unique. The author has derived it all from her own experience which she feels are closely relatable to anyone who reads this book. She touches upon dealing with Anxiety, Panic Attack, Self Doubt and Self Handicapping. What is striking about this read is the Activity Suggestion at the end of each topic. There is a Mindful Coloring Activity and a Suggested Activity. My most favorite - Appreciation Letter.
Rating - 4/5 Stars Recommendation - High

It is a Poetry book, the poems will definitely make you feel that you are into the same situation or been in that situation before. You all must have heard a famous quote 'Books are your best friend' and I can see this book as my good friend which shares what all thoughts come in your mind and how to deal with the same.
Believe in your ability and never look back. There will be ups and downs in life for sure but how you deal with it is what defines you. Self believe, positive mindset plays a vital role. I remember a quote "Let your hopes, not your hurts, shape your future". Similarly this book give us a hope that life is wonderful, it's just how much you work hard on yourself.
I was feeling really good while reading out the poems loud and clear. Loved the relationship part too. It feels good to read out such a great Poetry book. You all should definitely read it once.
A Collection of Relatable Thoughts is a poetry book and thoughts that Everlyne has shared with the readers. This book caught my attention from the first page because of the statement "We’re all connected together through our pain and vulnerabilities. But we are not destined to stay there, we should help each other break free and move on to a healthier future".
It is written in five chapters: Battleground, Them vs You, Relationship, Learning Curve and Soaring.
I wasn’t able to handle change And in the end, I lost my voice It felt like no one was listening anyway But people noticed So I blamed it on being a shy and quiet person
Above lines are from the Lost Voice poem. I could connect well to this and many other poems. Some poems have a question in them like "Do you ever miss the old version of yourself?". These questions will help the readers to analyze themselves and they will get to know themselves better. Written in an easy language, I recommend this book to my fellow readers. Sit with this book at a quiet place. Read it and get to know the answers of the questions shared in it. Cover photo of the book is designed well. This book is rich in content and could be more attractive if formatted well. Great book content wise. Pick it to read....
A Collection of Relatable Thoughts is a collection of poems and musings. The thoughts shared by the author Everlyne Nyambura in this book are very much relatable. I am sure that other readers also could relate to something in the book. This is a book that will engage the readers with creative activities and thought provoking questions that are there. Appreciation letter activity is a very good idea and I actually follow it. Everyone appreciate a person when he is gone but we should learn to appreciate them when they are around us.
Activity to focus on our goals actually is an eye opener. It motivates readers to think about their goals so they can start working towards it. There are so many poems with which I could relate myself. Big hearted poem shows the reality of today. Some people are not kind and take the advantage of the kind ones. It's good to help others but we should know when to say no.
I have learnt so many things from this book and after reading this book, I am able to understand myself better. This book helped me in clearing my head. Author has done nice work in this book and I am definitely very very interested to read more work of her.
A Collection of Relatable Thoughts is the debut book of the author Everlyne Nyambura. It consist of poetry and letters that will motivate you to analyze your daily activities so that you can make better choices.
Maybe it’s not as hard as what I make it to be... Maybe cos I expect it to be hard, I make it harder for myself... Creating silly reasons as to why I’m going to fail... My mind mixes up the words challenging and impossible... I overthink situations that are unlikely to happen, and they seem real to me...
I could very well relate to many poems from this book. Especially I could relate to Overthinking poem. I felt like author has poured myself in the words. I overthink a lot. Even though I am not much of a poetry person but the cover photo and title of the book caught my attention. I am truly in awe by the beauty of this collection. Self-handicapping essay is nice. Pick-me-up-list has given me something to look forward to. It's a nice collection. Don't miss to enjoy it buddies.

I felt inspired by reading this book. I loved the mindful coloring activity.
I wonder how people can pen down their thoughts so well. Length of the book is appropriate. Read the below lines. I am sure, we all are like this. One day we are so motivated and the other day we feel lazy or we give up. Then we again feel motivated and the cycle continues:
Day 1 “I need to change this.” Day 20 “Arrrrrghhhh stupid me.” Day 36 “What’s wrong with me?!!!!!” Day 54 “I give up.” Day 70 “Let’s start again.”
Author has very strong grip over the language. It's a kinda book that you won't feel like putting down. If you are looking for a good collection, this one would be appropriate. I recommend a paperback copy of this book so you can add it to your bookshelf.
A collection of relatable thoughts is a book full of poetry, letters and encouraging conversations that dives into the realities of life. The thoughts that Everlyne has expressed in this book are relatable. Often, we have similar thoughts or find ourselves in the similar situations.
I don’t laugh the way I used to I don’t have that confidence I used to have I don’t have that peace I used to have The hope I used to cling on to, vanished...
The Lost voice poem has really touched my heart. Many times we see people telling us “you used to be so…”. They often forget that sometimes they are the reason due to which we have changed. It is the much needed book that one should read. After reading it, you will realize that you are not alone who is overthinking or have deep thoughts, there are many others like you.
Many people will find this book useful and relatable. I highly recommend it to others. Even though this book could have been better in terms of presentation but content wise Everlyne has done nice job. I am curious to read more work of her in the near future.
MY TAKE🌼: • A Collection of Relatable Thoughts is dedicated to anyone who has ever felt stuck and is trying their best to not give up. The main topics include staying positive, comparisons, relationships, areas in our lives that we can develop, and finally, a hopeful future. The thing that robed my heart was a letter that the author wrote to himself, it really touched me. These Poetries and letters are typically short, but largely emotional. For those who have a harder time expressing themselves, reading this set of poetry can have a similar positive effect as writing it. These poems allowed me to see into the soul of another person, see what is weighing on their minds and on their hearts, and can open doors to feelings that are sometimes suppressed until that door is opened. I really loved this collection of short Poetries and letters, I would advice you all to read it too. It's available on kindle at a very low cost considering the quality of content.
A Collection of Relatable Thoughts is a collection of poems and letters. This book is written to motivate the readers so they can improve their choices and have a better life.
Book has total five sections:- 1) Battleground 2) Them vs You 3) Relationship 4) Learning Curve 5) Soaring
Loneliness tells me to isolate myself, so you don’t feel sorry for me I don’t want your pity I don’t want you to see me like this It’s embarrassing My instinct is to withdraw Allowing myself to go doormat Feeling fragile Just leave me the tools to fight on your way out And when I’m ready I’ll come to you and we’ll fight together But until then, leave me alone
These poems are so deep in meaning and only those who love poetry can understand the depth meaning. This book is thought provoking and has some questions in the middle to engage the readers.
It's a soulful read. I really enjoyed reading this. Really loved the cover of the book. But the book editing needs to be improved.
🔹A Collection of Relatable Thoughts is not just a poetry book. It has letters as well. These poems are based on different topics like self love, motivation, relationship, social MEdia and many more relatable topics.
🔹Being a poetry lover, I could well relate to these poems. They are soul and heart touching. I appreciate the activities given in the book that helps in bursting stress and setting our goals for the future.
🔹I once had a fear of public speaking and can totally relate to below lines: When I’m asked to speak in front of people: I s-s-stutter My voice s h a k e s I mispronounce everything My mind shuts down I become breathless from fear The pressure of sounding perfect weighs down on me Then I feel dumb for even trying......
🔹There is a scope of improvement in the way the book is presented. Apart from that, I loved the content, cover and the title. Poetry lovers should go ahead with this.
Relatable thoughts Reflections and lessons learned: “I'm upset with You Because You didn't do what I thought you would do You got me excited to do something that you had no intentions of being a part of I wish I didn't put my all into it” Abandoned
Faith - not just if the religious kind…
My ideal type of book filled with poetry and inspirational quotes to reassure and make the reader stop and think. A bit religious in places, but that’s not always a bad thing as the words are wise, and it includes a sexy library poem! In a world where ‘be kind’ can be thrown around one minute and that same person be criticising something that they disagree with the next, these are wonderful words that go a bit deeper as to why kindness and an attempt at understanding should be there for everyone. The finger pointing out is often the finger pointing back, but without any introspection this will always be harder to see and accept…

This book is a collection of thoughts that we have may in our day to day life. One can definitely relate to the poems, letters and thoughts expressed in the book. The book is not just written to be read. Infact, it also interacts with the user. The questions given in the book are the ones that cross our mind many times but we don't act on them. It's time to decide our goals and act on them seriously.
This book motivates us and gives us hope. I love the mindful colouring activity and I am gonna try that.
In my opinion, this book has much potential to be a better one. The book needs to be formatted properly. The language of the book is lucid. A good poetry book that one should read. The cover of the book is elegant and the title is apt.
