Death.
Pirates.
And a Daddy Dom to the rescue.

P.I. James Logan is used to being in charge, both in his personal life and in his investigations. When he’s hired to investigate the suspicious death of a passenger on an alternative lifestyle cruise, Logan swaps his gun for a flogger. All he needs is a good cover, and he knows just the sub to provide it.

Author Emily Martin is no stranger to the lifestyle; she’s a veteran of emotionally unavailable Masters and see-you-later sadists. However, Logan’s no weekend Dom, and his dedication to being her daddy could just convince Emily to give full-time power exchange another try.

But there’s no chance for a happily-ever-after with a killer at large. When the chase turns lethal, Emily must call on every ounce of courage to save her daddy.

Will she be a Little too late?

Wow, this is quite a story and I really enjoyed it. It felt far more honest and 'real' than so many of it's genre.

This is my first E.J. Frost read but it won't be my last. In Daddy P.I. she created two amazing characters and a story that just got better and better. It's quite a long book but not once did I get bored or put it aside (well apart from when I eventually got too tired to keep my eyes open any longer!).

There was one scene right at the very beginning that was, to paraphrase Emily, "a little icky" to read. In fact had I not promised a friend that I would read this book, it might have been enough to put me off. It's a fairly controversial memory by the Dom, Logan, and whilst nothing really untoward happens, it will push buttons and boundaries for many. I urge you to push through this very tiny part of what is a great story. It IS pertinent to the plot and goes a long way in showing how deep a connection Emily and Logan have. When I first read it I considered contacting the author and suggesting it was too much, but it didn't take long for me to realise just how important it actually was.

The book is quite unusual in that we meet the pair a week into their relationship. This wasn't an issue in any way because we still get to see Emily and Logan both grow within their relationship and the dynamic they forge together. I loved that Logan was on as much of a learning curve as his little girl, maybe more of one. He wasn't some super know-it-all-already all powerful Dom. He made mistakes, owned them and made sure not only to NOT repeat them but also to learn and grow from them. So refreshing and yet it made him so much more likeable too.

Emily is a little, but she isn't a colouring in and playing with dolls little, it's more to do with the power exchange. I loved the role play scenes, it isn't something I've read much of before but they were both entertaining and surprisingly hot. In fact we are treated to some really amazing, very well thought through and engaging play scenes, some public and some private. We learn each public scene is discussed and agreed upon in advance, then discussed/evaluated again afterwards. Again it gave a level or realism sadly lacking in many BDSM novels. Yet it avoided sounding preachy or like a manual, it blended seamlessly into the story and felt a natural and organic progression.

With the book being long, there are also plenty of non-play opportunities to both learn about our two protagonists, to experience their developing relationship, to see them both grow as individuals and a couple, to meet some great side characters and to enjoy a back plot too. Emily and Logan are a very easy to fall in love with and I can't wait until the next book is out.

The couple: Logan and Emily

Romance genre: DDlg/bdsm
Series: Daddy PI Casefiles
Length: 572 pages

Plot: I'm going to do my best to stick to just book 1, but if I'm honest, I read books .5, 1, and 2 all in a row and it's all one big story, and that's the way it's sticking in my head. Just a warning.
I read this book once before, and I was felt like I was missing some information, like maybe I had been dropped in the middle of the action. When I went back and read the prequel it all made sense - so I highly recommended reading that beforehand.

So in book .5, we saw how Logan and Emily met and became a pair. They're now on the kinky cruise, where they're navigating this very new, very undefined (for all that they have a contract, rules, etc.) relationship at the same time that Logan is investigating the murder of a previous customer of the cruise. The suspected cause of his death is a new drug called Brick, and the question is how it got on board. Not everyone is cooperative, but Logan was hired by the cruise company, and he will find the answers one way or another. In the meantime, back to Emily (or as Logan calls her, Emmy). She has found a Daddy Dom of her own, and now it's a matter of becoming a couple rather than just two people who are on the cruise together. Logan must be a wizard because their schedule is a little light on investigating (although that part of the plot isn't neglected) and heavy on the bdsm play. Logan and Emmy act out many (many, many) scenes, and make new friends along the way. They also come to an agreement about their future together. Oh and solve the crime, but not without trouble.

Character development: So right away, we find out a little about Logan that definitely affects his relationships: . It's one of those moments that stops you in your tracks, and it happens at the very beginning. Logan confesses this to Emily after a particularly horrible scene (and not horrible in the sense that it was brutal but fulfilling; horrible in the sense that it was, well, this is what Logan said about it):
She’s playing with me. This is her little peeping back out from the very adult mask I’ve made her wear for the last several hours. She’s playing with me after I pinned her to the bed and made sure she didn’t enjoy it as I used her. After I spanked her so hard that her left ass cheek is covered with white blisters, damage I’ve never done to any of my bottoms, even when I was just learning. She’s playing with me after I admitted the darkest, ugliest secret I carry.

I feel like this is one of the more important scenes they have because it sets the tone and motivation for the rest of their time together. Logan demands honesty and communication and will give that to Emmy, even when it hurts. And he learns (with respect to his last long-term sub, Miranda), while on the cruise: . Logan has a lot going on, and I'm impressed at the way he continues to focus on Emily and provide her with what she needs, even when he's so distracted. And to be fair, she does the same for him, which is part of what I think drew him to her in the first place. I don't think that any of his partners in the past have focused on him beyond the dom-sub relationship.
That's not to say that there are no problems in their developing relationship - there are. There is a (okay, tear-inducing, I'll admit it) scene after Emily thinks she's in trouble (because of another character) and Logan almost really messes it up. And I naturally come out on Emily's side - and then after reading the rest of the series, I realize that everyone's on Emily's side; she's just the kind of person that people normally love and want to protect.

The first time i met Logan and Emmy,i fell in love.
And Daddy Casefiles 1 the first edition left me in a puddle of happy.
Now EJ has gone through it,brushing it up with more goodness, and a second edition is coming.
She’s been playing with it on Patreon,so those that follow her there already know about it.
I got a review copy and, knowing i wanted to take my time, waited for the right moment to go back to Wolfy Daddy and his sweet kevlar baby.
Having finished,i can only say this edition left me in a puddle of adoration.
And if you enjoyed the first edition,i know you’re going to love this one!

Logan was already my favorite Daddy, even if he is a sadist.
I know this is his first time being a Daddy, but he immediately wants to give Emmy the Daddy she deserves.
What he doesn’t know,he asks, and he’s always honest with her.
He embraces being her Daddy, and he loves every second of it.
Negotiating scenes with her, going through the things they both would love to happen,is so much fun.
And he keeps checking if she’s ok with words and touches, gives her so many of the things that make her feel safe, loved and cared for.

Emmy, she really is his kevlar baby,a little with a masochistic core that fits perfectly with her Wolfy Daddy, and i adore her!
She has her “issues”,but Logan is her safe place, and she opens up to him like she’s never done before.
She tells him what happened to her,how that influences her,and she shares her fears with him.
Because she knows he wants her honesty, wants her to give him everything.
While that may seem scary at first, she soon feels so safe with him,she has little trouble sharing.
Because he shares his troubles with her, too….and she wants to be there for him the way he is for her.

Having finished this one,i hope you will excuse me,because i’m going to re-read Daddy P.I. 2…

When EJ Frost was so very generous to gift me the ARC of Daddy PI Casefiles #1,i jumped with joy,and couldn’t wait to get back to the Daddy and his little i met in the Negotiation.
I couldn’t help, but smile throughout, because these two have such a beautiful connection,i feel it in my soul.

Daddy does everything he can to make sure he treats his little bean right.
He asks her questions,he really listens,he constantly checks her reactions to what he says and does.
He even discusses the scenes he intends to do with her,and uses her fantasies to make it as good for her as he can.
And checks afterwards with her what she liked, and what she didn’t.
How can she do anything else, but melt in his arms....after he’s thoroughly ravished her.

He asks about her previous relationships, about what worked and why they ended.
He’s also very honest about his previous subs, and tells her about the trouble he’s having with one of them.
Even though she’s married to someone else, and pregnant, she seems to have a problem with letting him go....
But Emily knows how to help her Daddy take his mind of those problems, and make him relax for a while.
And he helps her deal with the traumas from her past.
They find their type of stressrelief is working miracles. For both of them.
This Daddy/little stuff is turning out to be a very good thing.....

They meet some wonderful people on the cruise, and make friends that are there for both of them.
Which is a good thing, because his investigation is stirring up trouble.
Logan asks his new friends to keep an eye on his Emmy, and they demand he keeps in touch regularly when he’s investigating in return.
Will they be able to help when things go bad?

This was the kind of story you get sucked into, the kind of story that makes you smile when you think of it.
Apart from those moments when things turn ugly....and you get really worried if it’ll be ok.
The kind of story that stays with you,in a good way.
One you will enjoy,a lot!
I just know it.....

This review contains is a bit of a spoiler, but we learn this in the first few pages of the book, so I don’t feel too bad about spoiling....

I will start by saying that I don’t understand the high ratings for this book. But also, I didn’t finish it. I gave up at 65%... it was just SOOOOOOOO bloody long and I was so bored! Aside from being bored, I was also grossed out a lot. I found some parts of this book CRINGEWORTHY.

Logan was fucked up, with a capital F. We learn within the first few pages of the book that he used to want to fuck his sister, and he still thinks about it sometimes! This is all explained away and makes Logan look deeply tortured and troubled.... who doesn’t love a hero with flaws, right?! Except this flaw is FUCKED UP, and not in a sexy way. Surely there had to have been some other way that the author could have made Logan flawed and troubled, without having him fantasize about fucking his sister?!? SURELY THERE WAS ANOTHER WAY! It was beyond fucked! I felt like I was reading Game Of Thrones, but at least in GOT the incest was between the bad guys. I can honestly say that I have never read a ROMANCE novel where the main male character wanted to fuck his sister! I read the blurt at the beginning that warned about incest, but I assumed that the incest was in the form of rape and trauma... not the MMC fantasizing about diddling his sister and then acting that fantasy out by imagining her when he was fucking Emily... but it’s ok, because he didn’t enjoy it (even though he came)... it’s totes cool! It was off-putting, to say the least.

I’m also on the fence about the age-play. Initially I was really hesitant to read this because I’m not into age play, especially when the heroine turns into a little girl, but on the other hand I do love me a Daddy Dom. I love a Daddy Dom that likes to take care of his sub, provide for her, and cherish her. I also love a Dom who is super Alpha and controlling. Logan had all of those things. For the most part, I didn’t mind the age play, but some parts really made me cringe. Sometimes Emily going into “little space” was cute. She would get super cuddly and Logan would take of her. Or she would become playful and Logan was really sweet to her. She was also a huge nerd, which was really cute. But, I didn’t like it when she would suck her thumb. I also didn’t like that she was SOOOOOO needy and weepy all the damn time. Sometimes her “little” would become too annoying.

I found some of the punishment scenes to be too intense for my taste. There was a locker room scene where Logan beat Emily with a cane to the point of having her blood vessels burst. Emily described the sensation as feeling like “knife cuts” across the back of her thighs. Although Logan didn’t break her skin, it was just too much for me. I also really hated the scene where Logan washed Emily’s mouth out with soap. I didn’t like anything leading up it either. Emily gets “corner time” and she works herself up to a panic attack. The scene is written entirely from Emily’s perspective, but I just didn’t understand how Logan, being a supposedly observant Dom, didn’t see that she was having a full blown panic attack. Her nose was running and she was completely covered in snot. She was hyperventilating. Then Logan decides it’s a good idea to wash her mouth out with soap?! He didn’t know what was triggering her, but surely he could see that she was triggered! Why would putting soap in her mouth be a good move at that time? I legit didn’t get it! It would have been nice to know what was going on in Logan’s mind and why he thought that would be a good idea. We do find out a little later why Emily had her little freak out and the trauma from her past that triggered her, but in my opinion, Logan should still have been able to see that she was distraught. Him washing out her mouth with soap still didn’t make sense. But in any event, the snot, the spit, the almost vomiting, it was just too many gross bodily fluids for me. I cringed HARD.

One of my biggest pet peeves is when an author over uses a word or a phrase. In this case it was “ta very much”. It was Emily’s little girl speak for “thank you very much” (it’s also a British phrase that she learns from Logan). It was cute the first couple of times she said it. After the 4th time, I started getting annoyed. After the 10th time, my eye started twitching every time she said it. After the 34th I wanted to beat her with her own goddamn bunny! It was overused in my opinion, to the point where it lost all cuteness and became annoying.

There were some good parts that I enjoyed. When they weren’t annoying me or grossing me out, Logan and Emily were really cute! I loved that he called her Emmy. It was adorable. Logan was so attentive to Emily. He tried to understand, not just her physical needs, but also her emotional ones (which was why I was so shocked when he washed her mouth out with soap when she was spiralling). He would tie her shoes and cut up her food. He would make her feel safe so she could go into her “little space”. There was a lot of cuddling and snuggling, which was really sweet.

The sex scenes between them were really hot! They would often role play, which was inventive, and sexy. Some of the toys that they used sounded really interesting too!

But in the end it wasn’t the incest fantasies, the gross punishment scenes, or the age-play that made this into a 2 star read for me, it was the sheer length of this thing! THIS. BOOK. WOULD. NOT. END. It could have easily been shortened by 100 pages. Maybe if it was shorter, I would have actually finished it. I have nothing against long books, but I just didn’t find this engaging. The whole “mystery” about Mr. Black’s murder bored me to tears. I couldn’t work up a single fuck to give. Maybe I’ll go back one day and finish this, but for now, I need a pallet cleanser.

So in love

I don’t think I have enjoyed a book more in a long time. I felt like I got a lesson in BDSM mixed with a really good suspense story. I love every aspect of this book and highly recommend it to anyone who loves kinky love stories.

Unfortunately this book wasn’t for me and I reeeeally tried to like it. It just isn’t the type of daddy book that I enjoy. Logan is a first-time daddy, only having been a Master to his subs previously. I’m not too much into that type of bdsm so that’s a huge reason why this didn’t call to me, but I’m sure other people who enjoy that will like this book more.

I really disliked Logan from book #0.5 when he first met Emily. I still can’t get over the fact that he’s slept with over 500 women. That, plus sooooo many other things he did really bothered me. Even if he wasn’t in a “true relationship” with Emily at the time...
-He wanted to fuck the widow Mrs. Black, then did a role-play with Emily where she pretended to be Mrs. Black and he punished her pretty harshly. He admits what he did to Emily was abuse.
-He thought of his sister while fucking Emily, super detached and she hated it but still never safeworded.
-He kept thinking of his ex-sub, Miranda, who he loved and that came across in Emily’s POV, as she could feel that he was probably still in love with her.
-Emily admitted that she thought Logan was going to hit her in anger, “but nobody is perfect” and she was still okay with this when her ex-husband had hit her before? No.

So much other shit... and then the OW drama with Miranda and her baby possibly being Logan’s. And yet at the end of the story, Logan’s instructions for Emily include calling Miranda? Fuuuuuuck that. I’m not into OW drama in books and this was pretty distressing to me.

I didn’t mind reading about the other scenes on the ship between Vashi, Niall and Shaan... or any of the other characters really. But when it comes to Emily, I feel like Logan was always disciplining her for one reason or another... like, she quoted an R rated movie that she watched before she even knew him? That earns her 10 spankings or paddlings or whatever. I don’t understand why that has any bearing on their current relationship... it isn’t like she disobeyed and watched it after they came to their agreement so every time he did that it really bothered me. There’s so many other reasons that I won’t list that bothered me, but it was at least a handful.

So for someone who enjoys these things in books, I’m sure you’ll enjoy it. It was just really hard for me to get through.

Also, the chapters were super long and I felt they should be broken up a little bit more. A few of the chapters were around 45-55+ minutes long, according to my Kindle and the speed I read.

I read some spoilers on book #2 and with how I felt about this one and what I know is coming in that book, I definitely won’t be continuing this series.

I feel really bad with all my complaints about this book because the writing was still really good. If it was on a trope I enjoy more, or if I liked Logan better as a character, I’m sure my rating would be higher.

2.5⭐️

I couldn't get beyond the first page, in which the H remembered this:
Mum always praised me for being such a good big brother to Lizbeth, but the dirty truth was that I protected and cared for her because something deep in me demanded it, the same something that filled my wet dreams with images of bending my sweet little sister over the edge of my bed, tying her hands behind her, and deflowering her while she sobbed and screamed my name.
Is he actually a pedophile? No; these were fantasies. Can we control our fantasies? No. Can we control our actions? Yes; and he did.

BUT...

DD/lg is neither my go-to kink, nor my lifestyle practice. It does, however, often get slammed for exactly this: that men (it's usually men in these books) have fantasies about children that get displaced onto grown women. Given how hard this community has to work against misconceptions that include accusations of pedophilia and incest, I don't really understand why any author would want to invoke either -- even obliquely -- particularly when said author wants to present a positive view of this dynamic. Aren't you simply reaffirming these negative stereotypes?

Because I only read the first page, I don't feel it's fair to actually rate it. If the above doesn't bother you, I'm sure they'll be four- and five-star reviews you can read. For me, this was a DNF.

I am not sure how I stumbled upon this book, or who recommended it, but I am absolutely grateful to them. I am relatively new to the DDlg genre, but a long time romance reader, and this book has the best of both. Someone else (Bow_of_Artemis) wrote a review on Amazon that basically outlines all my feelings about the book. Go read that review. Really.

Logan and Emily are fully developed and complex without any of it feeling superfluous or overly dramatic. Their open communication, whether it be about their desires , fears or darkest secrets, was really beautiful to read. I could FEEL their connection building and deepening through all of their interactions, whether it be in a scene, working through some really rough moments or a quiet conversation.

The secondary characters also added so much to the story. I love Niall and Vashni, and would love to see them in future books (hint). The setting and central conflict added just the right suspense and 'locked room mystery' feel that I enjoy. Honestly, I just loved this book. So much so that I have re-read it at least 3 times since purchasing it.

I do recommend that you read the prequel before starting this book. It will make the opening chapter make a little more sense, but you won't be lost if you don't.

I had a hard time getting into this book because of my misunderstandings of the language and terminology used. Once I got past that, it was a wonderful story and extremely educational. I would highly recommend this book for anyone that is curious about the lifestyle, or anyone that loves mysteries. The storyline and characters were very well developed and I couldn’t put it down. Can’t wait to read the next book.

I really liked the characters in this book and the way their relationship developed. The book actually opens after they have already recently begun a relationship. The author has a free novella available on her website that covers how they met before this book begins.

The drug mystery plot that the main characters were trying to solve was very interesting. The kinky cruise setting, which I’m sure is interesting to a lot of readers, was only slightly interesting for me as a reader. What made me give this book 5 stars is the fact that it actually brought me to tears several times when reading about their relationship.

Both main characters have issues in their pasts. Bullying, cheating exes, lying exes, parents who did not do their job, and even exes with other issues. I just really enjoyed seeing how they continued to build each other up rather than try to tear each other down. If one had a problem, the other did what they could to help make things better. It was just really sweet to read about.

Considering the setting of this book is a kinky cruise and both characters are part of that lifestyle, it probably seems silly to refer to this book as sweet. There are definitely some scenes that are not “sweet,” LOL. But I was drawn to keep reading to see them continue to grow closer.

I immediately downloaded the novella from the author’s website and read that just to get more information about the characters. Then I borrowed this book from kindle unlimited once again just to skim through and re-read the relationship scenes. I did not count it as a second read since I skimmed through all of the cruise scenes as well as all of the drug mystery scenes. I only bring it up to point out that I felt the need to revisit the book one last time before moving on to something new.

I wish the second book was already out and look forward to it a great deal!

Not Your Everyday Daddy Book

In case you missed the title, this is a Daddy/little book. But it’s not just same old, same old.

First, I won’t lie and say that there weren’t a couple incidents early on that made me nervous to read...but the author did a good job of allaying my fears and concerns. It also made me think more deeply about a Daddy’s psyche (not my personal kink, but I do enjoy reading most of the dynamic) and what builds a Daddy.

Second, I wasn’t expecting the main characters to be in a relationship already. Granted, it was a new relationship which left plenty of room to go, and boy, did they ever! Watching them build something strong and designed to last using the tenets of trust and communication via the Safe, Sane, and Consensual BDSM values was both sexy and beautiful.

If you’re looking for HOT SEX, it’s all there and won’t disappoint you. And this particular little? She’s fun, feisty, smart, and a writer... I’m looking forward to the next book in this series and dying to delve deeper into her past to better understand what makes her tick and some of her triggers.

Pick this book up! It’s totally worth it.

Great Daddy book.

It is pretty obvious that this story involves Age Play, if you look at the title, but just to make sure that you know I am telling you that it has Age play. This story involves a Daddy and his little and I think it is very well done. So the story is also considered BDSM, and it has a number of spanking or other impact play scenes and the are fairly hardcore. I really liked the several Role Playing Scenes, they were all really outstanding oscenes and one of the best parts of the story. There is a mystery involved that needs to solved and it is. Daddy P.I. Includes several good sex scenes and anal play.

I am really looking forward to reading the next book Daddy P.I. 2.0

More Logan?!

Ok so I was going to rant and rave about dropping us into a new relationship without backstory BUT i low key liked it. It was a little hard to follow sometimes because we aren’t being introduced to strangers like normal but to two people who’ve already started a relationship and a bond. Yet, there was so much going on my head exploded and Logan made my insides squeal. Now, normally I can’t do a series where it’s the same couple but I guess I’m just making all the exceptions with this one because even though it was long I want more. I need more. I crave more. Until I see babies it’s not over! But thank you for a happily for now ending, in case someone wanted a pause or didn’t want to finish!

Sooo good with a refreshing take on the DDlg dynamic.
What a fantastically written, character driven, kinky story!!! Read in KU, then immediately purchased so I can re-read and enjoy the story again. Heck, I may read this twice before the next book is due to come out in...Oct. 2020 ! (insert crying eyes)
The PI storyline was a great backdrop to this AMAZING relationship we experienced unfold and grow between the awesome James Logan and Emily Martin. The whole tone of the book felt fresh, unique, and left me excitedly happy with hearts in my eyes.
I can’t wait for the next in the series and HIGHLY recommend!!

This is a very unique take on the daddy/little relationship. This couple is just starting out in their relationship after just meeting recently. They are determined to be honest with each other and have wonderful communication and sizzling chemistry. They both have some tragic circumstances from their pasts that must be dealt with together. This is a great story with some underlying suspense. This book is a great read and I really enjoyed it. If daddy/little kink is your thing, this is definitely the book for you. A great read and I highly recommend. I am looking for the the next book.

What a delightful read. This author has opened up a whole new world for me. Some authors are very descriptive of characters, some of costume and location. Some are great at creating an entire new world. Frost has an uncanny ability to make you feel the emotions her characters are going through, their vulnerabilities and strengths. I'm drained because of how quickly Logan and Emily fell in love and how hard. The book had great friendships and some mystery too. It hit all my marks. I highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys a love story with adventure and kink.

So glad I stumbled upon this treasure!

Don't judge a book by it's cover. Especially this one. Logan and Emily are complex, beautiful, broken, lovely characters. This book is long, but I simply couldn't put it down. I am in love with these characters and highly enjoyed spending days reading the expressive, sweet, humorous, sometimes scary and very intense moments that they share. So well worth the read!

Daddy knows best

Emily has been misused and abused. Her husband/Dom was the worst. But she never loses hope of finding the One her little is safe with.

Logan has searched a while for the one sub who could truly please him. His PI case sends him on a cruise. He invites Emily along so the can get to know each other. And so he can relax while working.

Emily's little senses a difference in Logan. Strength, Dominance, and some pain. Logan senses a great difference in Emily from his past subs. Is her little who he's been looking for? Can they overcome their pasts and learn about true Daddy/little freedom??

Logan takes Emily on a cruise while he investigates the possible smuggling of illegal drugs. The cruise is for people in the 'lifestyle', so Logan and his little girl fit right in.
Just wow! Chock full of sexy scenes, as Logan teaches Emily how to be his sub, and she helps him learn to be her daddy; and the two of them watch and participate in scenes on the ship, both public and private. And a trio they meet, and others who help them out.
Oh, yes, and the investigation that Logan undertakes.
Amazing. Terrific characters, sexy scenes and a clever crime uncovered.
Highly recommended

Daddy P I Book 1

This is an excellent story if you can ignore all the remarks about things that happened in the past. I really like how the author is able to describe the emotions of both top and sub.
If you don't like reading all about the sex act this is the wrong author for you!
I found that it felt as though I had been dropped into the middle of a movie, was expected to know all about the plot and actors, and all that without stumbling around like a blind man!

Thank you so much to readers who have embraced this off-beat mystery/romance!

***** "I loved the role play scenes, it isn't something I've read much of before but they were both entertaining and surprisingly hot. In fact we are treated to some really amazing, very well thought through and engaging play scenes, some public and some private. We learn each public scene is discussed and agreed upon in advance, then discussed/evaluated again afterwards. Again it gave a level or realism sadly lacking in many BDSM novels." - Life in the Book Lane Reviews

***** "I consider myself a seasoned reader of BDSM and age-play. This is one of the best, most responsibly written books I have ever read in this genre. The author has done an incredible job making the reader really feel the emotion and hard work that goes into the dynamic, as well as each and every scene between them, of which there are many." - GR Reviewer

Intriguing kinky mystery

When I first started reading this book I wanted to know how Logan and emily met, so I emailed the author and see sent me the prequel and I will say it's a must read, before you start this book. It gives you so much insight into their lives and the dynamics of their would be relationship. This book doesn't disappoint. The whole daddy/little link wasn't something I had read much about.but this book explains and encourages you follow down their path with them. Discovering the highs and lows of a the beginnings of what could be a truly amazing experience or a disastrous life choice. Logan was amazing, gentle and kind. Helping his little girl become who she needed to be, while expanding his own mindset on this kink. Emily was his saving grace in many ways and I cant wait to read more about them. The other characters in the book, really helped built the foundation of this story and I would be great to see a spin off of their own. This was the first book I read by this author and I cant wait for more.

I enjoyed this intensely detailed story about a PI who happens to be a Dom:Sadist who goes on a cruise with his new Sub Emily. The cruise is for a case and Emily is part of his cover story.

The story starts a few days after Logan and Emily meet at a BDSM Expo. It’s clear
From the beginning part of the story happened before this book. I was enjoying the story even without the backstory, but found out the 0.5 prequel is available directly from the author’s website when you sign up for her newsletter. I paused reading 1.0 and took the time to read 0.5 and had a deeper appreciation and enjoyment for the subtle nuances I was missing out in without reading the 0.5 prequel.

I’m looking forward to 2.0 which comes out later this year.

I’m a fast reader, but this book took me a long time to read. It’s really good and kept my attention. This story doesn’t include any fluff. Each word is carefully written to describe in detail the relationship between Emily and Logan, the BDSM lifestyle, the case Logan is working and other important elements to the story.

I really liked the story of this. It was something to grab on to, especially since I didn't always like Logan. I don't have to like all the main characters, as long as there is at least one that I like, and I really like Emily.

There were times when I just didn't like Logan at all. I didn't like some things that he did and some of the choices that he made. There are other times when I liked him and I thought that he did things well.

I really like Emily. I think that she's enthusiastic about the world. She has worked really hard to get through the bad things she has to deal with, and I think that she has done really well.

Adventure on the high seas

Very developed storyline and characters. I was pleasantly surprised by this book as the cover and blurb didn’t do it justice. I found it to be unlike other books in the genre in a very good way. With a mystery to solve that surrounds the characters relationship there is no lull in this book. I felt the characters where very relatable and real and can’t wait for the next book for the continuation of their story.

Really enjoyed this one

I don’t usually enjoy reading age play but this was different from the usual. I liked the interchange between characters. There are several sub stories within the main that keep you interested. It’s definitely not for everyone but I liked it and want to see where these two go.
