Uncompromising Intimacy: Turn your unfulfilling marriage into a deeply satisfying, passionate partnership
Most relationship advice says compromise is the key to a happy marriage.
Seems reasonable. Considerate. Loving.
But what if compromise is actually draining the passion from your relationship?
From a physician who has been married for over 30 years and coached hundreds of couples, Uncompromising Intimacy describes a radically different approach to love and partnership.
This book is for men and women in fundamentally good marriages who want more — more passion, emotional depth, and aliveness — but they don’t know how to create it.
A Physician and Intimate Marriage Expert, author Dr. Alexandra Stockwell tells you to stop settling and instead learn to be fully yourself so you can enjoy a marriage that is deeply connected, emotionally alive, and erotically vibrant.
Drawing on decades of experience coaching hundreds of couples, Dr. Stockwell offers an effective alternative to the common advice to compromise. Couples who follow this advice, even when they feel a lot of love, often find themselves burdened by routines, unable to bridge emotional distance, and lacking passion in the bedroom.
Inside this book you’ll learn how to:
• Rekindle passion and erotic energy in long-term relationships
• Move beyond the “roommate phase” many couples fall into
• Express your desires honestly without damaging trust
• Transform conflict into deeper connection and intimacy
• Create a relationship where both partners feel fully alive and deeply cherished
• Build a marriage that is emotionally nourishing, sexually vibrant, and profoundly fulfilling
Part inspiration, part practical guidance, and part invitation to a new way of relating, Uncompromising Intimacy describes how the freedom to be fully yourself will transform your marriage into the passionate, connected partnership you desire.
If you’re ready to stop settling and begin creating the passionate, deeply connected marriage you deserve, this book will show you how.

Basic but Good
Solid book with good principles that are briefly fleshed out. My guess is that it is an elongated sales brochure for the $400 package the author sells. Not a bad marketing strategy. The content is worth considering even though it is surface scratching. But as she mentions in the book, most people are not willing to put in the work that is required to have a vibrant and erotic partnership with someone.

Suggested in a physician forum as a good book for couples. Felt it was extremely straight forward points for me. Stay curious, kind and loving toward your spouse. Tell them things you appreciate about them. Try not to name call. Don’t withhold negative things just to “be nice” but figure out a way to share the negative with your spouse so you don’t resent them. Didn’t really walk away with any new info but could see how some people may need this when their marriage is contentious.

The author is a little new-agey in her personal life/beliefs, but the actual psychology and marriage advice in the book is sound.
