Aspen Ridge #7

Run to Love

Rate this book
DR. REBECCA SUTTON was burnt by a man once-she won’t let it happen again. Nope. The only excitement she needs is her job at the Medical Center in tiny Aspen Ridge, Colorado. Besides, she doesn’t have time for a personal life.

RORY KELLER graduated from Mountain High but never really left. After college, he came right back as and teacher and coach. That was over ten years ago, and he still lives with his widowed mother. His chance for love has passed him by.

Undeniable sparks fly when the two literally run into each other. Should they take a chance at love? Maybe. But then, Rebecca’s little sister shows up on her doorstep. Is it possible to balance a career, family, and romance to find the life they’ve always wanted?

Sweet characters

I mostly enjoyed this story...
But it could have used another round of editing. I don't marl down for a few typos, but this just had a few that really bothered me (and it wasn't that it had a wrong letter making it not a word but instead a word that made the sentence not make since as it was). And I tend to be a timeline nerd. So another round would have hopefully corrected issues there- like how our lead female went from being 30 with a 16 sister- her parents telling her at 14 she was going to be a big sister, to near the end of the book, her sister is 17 (ok...2 months have passed, maybe she had a birthday not mentioned?) And they're 12 years a part in age...(that's how it's not just because of a birthday). Sometimes the relationship between Rory and Rebecca seemed off, but I couldn't quite put my finger on what bothered me- but by the end, their romance was very sweet.

Family, you don't get to chose yours at first !

Rebecca and Rory's story is a special case. You don't chose your family but the one you make with those who become part of your life makes that life special. With every addition their lives become richer for the circle gets larger. You will love Ms. Haymaker's gift of story in this wonderful series.Enjoy!

Love

I have loved every book in this series. I like how they can be read as a stand-alone book but I especially love how past book characters appear in each book.
