Now wash your hands will be a great book to use in primary schools at the moment especially due to the coronavirus. The book tells the story of why we need to wash our hands and that we must do it after lots of activities like gardening and going to the toilet as well as before eating. The book also has a fun song and step by step guide to show children how to wash their hands and how long they need to do this. I would teach children this song and maybe stick a copy of this page by the sinks for children to use. The book is a very child-friendly way of approaching a serious subject and can help children to feel less scared about germs, particularly at this time.

A great way to teach kids about handwashing to get rid of germs. There is a handwashing song at the back, even though I found two other songs for handwashing for my 'Sick' storytime
